Lilith was always a bit to pack up her laptop after her evening classes. Organic Chemistry was a hard subject for students who were used to pick up things quickly. She had personally handled a few emotional breakdown during this hour.
A student was dithering at the exit. Probably waiting for her. The girl made awkward conversation with her and asked her a slightly technical question which she did explain but the girl wasn't even listening to her. The student thanked her and paused briefly
"I really like your lapel, It is cute." She said, Pointing to the pride lapel that Ava had gotten her.
Lilith grinned " Thank you, My wife got it for me."
The student looked at her with a bit of reverence. She knew how it felt, It had taken her years to be comfortable with who she was and she did her bit to ease the process for her students. It didn't have to be as hard as it had been for her.
She walked home from the university, It hard been hard and isolating when she had first gotten her but once had realized that she could make it her and people were nice to her. She never wanted to leave and she didn't. She was on her way to a PHD which came with more hours of work and incredibly low pay but it was worth it. This was what she wanted to do with her life.
Ava was gardening when she got home.
"Hey, Gorgeous." She waved getting up from the ground, covered in dirt and her hands dirty with mud.
" I would hug you but I know I wouldn't like that." She said.
"Bea is buying dinner for us tonight. Want to watch something?" She asked as she washed up, Ava was human again, not a warrior nun plagued with the responsibility for the world. She had survived and god had blessed her with life. Ava worked as a bartender at a bar nearby. She seemed to enjoy it, Lilith would personally would have become an alcoholic just to see her if she hadn't been married already.
They cuddled up on the couch and watched a sappy romance movie. Ava adored those. They didn't hear Bea's car pulling up and was surprised to find her sneaking up on them.
"Hey Princess." She whispered into her ear.
"Bea, you scared me." lilith protested half heartedly as Bea jumped over the couch and in between her wives.
"I missed you both." She said kissing Ava and Liltih.
"What did you get us for dinner?" Ava asked, wrapping herself around Bea who was stroking her hair.
"Lilith." Bea said.
"I am actually hungry." Ava protested.
"I got us Pasta." She answered, "Lilth is desert."
Ava nodded in approval " I like this plan." She murmured
They fell back into a comfortable silence, Bea had wrapped her hand around her a pulled her in. She watched the god awful movie that Ava loved while cuddling her wives. She loved her life.
