Gon and Killua were truly the exceptional boys for their age. Not only they were stronger than the children of the same age, their foci on thir aura was too good. In just few hours, they managed to control their Nen with ease. And then, they started to learn Ten, the shroud of life energy upon them. The very same technique that could save them from Hisoka's Ren.

Keno had also mastered all the four principles of Nen in just few hours. But there was a difference on how she mastered them. Compared to these two talented boys, Keno used the [Ring of Sustenance] to prolong her time period. The very same ring was a gift from the Leader of the 13 Heroes, which let them adventure around the continent for indefinite amount of time.

It was a very useful ring that could easily become a national treasure. All thanks to its ability to make eating, drinking, breathing and sleeping as some unnecessary stuffs. The ring also removed the conditions like exhaustion and all physical form of fatigue with ease. With these abilities, any country would forge the warriors of the highest level. It was basically cheating on her part, that she used it to hasten her training.

When she equipped the ring, her aura became very rigid. Rather than leaving her body like it should, her aura crystallized around her body. In her Ten state, the aura stayed there even she was concentrating over it, but she took Wing's teaching from heart, and slowly mastered the control over her own aura until she could use Ten similar to that of her ring-equipped state.

Her Zetsu was already better than the rest of the Nen principles, as her life revolved hiding from the world. Nobody wanted to have a vampire at their doorstep of course. After joining the 13 Heroes, she opened her heart again and made friends with them. However, after seeing all her companions' , whether from 13 Heroes or Blue Roses, death from her own eyes, she closed her heart again.

Even after turning into her true race, she hid the the fact of her being a Rainbow Eye, as such a race never existed in this world. If they found out her true status, then her life would take another turn. Something that she was not ready yet.

And then there was her Ren, which expanded her aura to a greater quantity. She was not worried about the amount of exhaustion, as Ring was capable of shrugging off that type of condition. She was still expanding her aura reserves to another level, until she could outlast any enemy she could come across.

"And with that, your training about Ten ends here. With this, you can easily take on the Ren of Hisoka without any problem. Though you must no must engage with him in any situation. He is still on another level than you two. Until you master your Nen, make sure to keep this in end."

Wing stated his commands, as he stared at the boys with mild surprise. Though he hid it well, Keno caught his emotions with ease. Even an experienced master like Wing was having tough time to comprehend the speed at which they learnt. He shooked his head and stared at the only lone female in the room.

"Keno, are you sure you don't want to go through the initiation process?"

He asked to hear his opinion, but he also hid his inner curiosity better than before. Wing might be unaware of the fact that his memories had been altered.

Of course, it was a tough task to maintain mind control over him. Though she managed to pull the impossible, all because her mana recovered faster than she could give up. Her limit was not 4th tier spell, and the magic items in her arsenal, further increased her capabilities to extend the effect of her charm magic.

"No, I want to go through simple and slow method. It seems much safer than the faster method."

"I see."

Wing seemed a little disappointed. His excitement to see another miracle, vanished as quickly as she said. While she heard Killua sighing in relief.

Then, there was also the fact that her trust over the boys was diminishing. And much to dismay, it was her fault too.

When she first saw these boys, they seemed accustomed with the Heaven's Arena. She decided to join them on their little adventures, until she saw their strength. They were stronger than a gold-ranked adventurer. Even the likes if Climb was incapable of hurting them.

However, it was Killua who shocked her.

Cunning, paranoid and calculative at first glance, he was suspicious about her from the day one. His assassin skills were subtle, but Keno figured out his skills as well. Sharp he was, he took the initiatives like a professional assassin.

On the other hand, Gon was an optimistic beacon of light who illuminated the world with his brilliant smile. He was like Ranger, who left his home for some reasons. His shining aura was kinda contagious to her.

But at the end of the day, they were good boys. They didn't deserve her at all. Nor she deserved to be the part of these duo.

While she was enjoying her newfound mortality, these two were learning new stuffs. They found about Nen before her, even if their knowledge was wrong, they surpassed her in that regard.

Keno understood the emotion of getting stronger than others. She herself wished for that type of power. Therefore, their actions of not telling her about this was valid. She would leave them, otherwise, they would just become her pushover, despite her own powers.

"Huh? You are leaving us?!"

Gon exclaimed in surprise as he heard her words. His question was directed at the fact that his new friend was not joining them on the higher floors. But she shrugged off his exclamation.

"Yes. In a way, I am leaving this city. I have a lot to learn and understand about Nen. Once I feel myself capable of mastering this art, I will return to this Arena. From now on, I will just travel around and master my aura."

"Awww... Well, it's your choice, so it can't be helped."

"Don't worry, someday we will meet again.

Gon nodded in happiness and even Killua gave a slight nod at last.

With that said, she left them on their journey While she made up her mind to become strong again, on her own.

"Are you sure about this Keno? We can become stronger if we practice together. There is no need to travel to far off places, just for the sake of learning Nen."

Gon persuaded her again. The trio stood on the railway station of the city, which led to the outer spheres of this city. On her mission to get stronger than these incredible boys, Keno chose to master her Nen in a secluded place.

While the city had many calm places with a lot of training equipments, there were a lot of prying eyes as well. It would be a nuisance to train here.

She also came up with her own story for this travel as well.

"Apologies, but I have to. It is true that I like your proposal, but I have my own priorities, just like you two have. This city is full of powerful trainers, but I want to open my nodes in seclusion. And that is impossible for me to do here. On top of that, there are too many distractions here that I can't ignore. I need to train alone."

Gon pouted, but with a sigh he let her go. For someone like Gon, it was a new feeling to meet another one of his age, whom he could travel with, who could have fun with him and being friend with with him. Though it was wrong to leash someone who didn't want to stay with you. Further approach might make them hate you,

...or that was what Mito-san told him.

"Fine, but promise me that we will meet again. And next time, we will travel together. Let's make a pinky promise."

Killua who was watching the entire scene in silence, laughed at the sight of Gon doing his 'promise ritual' with a confused Keno. He had to say that a confused Keno was quite cute though.

After spending time with her, he also found her antics quite odd for a girl.

She was very harsh with her tone and remarked any point with strong opposition. Her approach was also very selfish, just like Leorio. And she always had this secretive presence around her. Her standards for others were also higher than a girl with near to no income. She also seemed pretty manipulative over the trivial stuffs and very protective of her items.

But aside from that, she was very kind. She was always curious to so many things. She had some sort of charisma that attracted both him and Gon. It was a perplexing feeling, but he wished to know more about. She didn't talk much often, but always observed them from sidelines.

Yes, she was not flawless, but she was truly not a bad person. A part of him felt bad for being suspicious on her and to not add her in their group.

Killua sighed and contemplated about it.

"Well, she is a girl, but a very mature one. She knows her limits and doesn't nag others too. She deserved to be our friend."

Killua considered Gon as a friend for reasons that he didn't want to admit aloud, the same went for Kurapika and Leorio. But Keno's case was different. He liked her personality and her company with them. Calm, silent, serious and passionate enough to be not a damsel in distress.

Though this was not the place and time to let his thoughts out. They were going to separate again and this time, nobody knew where they would meet.

Putting some courage in his voice, Killua decided to join the conversation.

"How about we choose our own place to meet? This way, we will meet with others."

"That's a great idea, Killua. I want you to meet Kurapika and Leorio as well. I am sure that you will like them."

Gon also remarked about the other two of their team. As they waited for Keno's response on this.

"Hmm, I like your idea. I don't know how long my training will go. I am not even planning to start any city lifestyle. There are many things I want to learn and I don't think that I will have much time after this..."

That dejected the mood of the duo for a moment until she continued,

"...but, we can meet again in the Heavens Arena. At the end of this year, I will visit this city and stay here for 2 weeks. How about this?"

"Deal!" Gon exclaimed in affirmative.

"I don't mind it." Killua nodded.

With that being their final decision, Keno gave her goodbye to the boys. As her departure was near, she thought while sitting in her train,

"There is one place I am curious to visit. If this internet thing is correct, then that place's name is Bay of Crystals."

And here is the chapter.

Yes, Keno leaves the Gon and Killua for some time.

Well, she wants to catch up with these incredibly fast leaners. Plus, she can exploit Nen system with her magic items. Most you have already guessed her Nen so, there is nothing left to say on her Hatsu.

Lastly, the HxH world seems dead. There are many locations that is still unexplored. Therefore, I am going to do some worldbuilding in this world. New creatures, new areas and new stuffs that are waiting to be discovered. Keno will cover this part of the world in her journey.

And my life is pretty messed up right now. So expect me to be slow.

But I am thinking about how to finish the story in the Dark Continent with many Overpowered things in the end of the story.

Thank you for reading!

See ya~!
