Before I begin this chapter, I feel that I should warn you that this chapter contains a scene that involves calorie counting/restriction. It's going to show up in a few other chapters, so it's best if I warn you ahead of time, just in case this topic makes you uncomfortable.

Amy's perspective

After having lunch with The Plastics, Blaze and I meet in the girls' restroom and talk about my conversation with Rouge. As soon as I bring up the fact that she and her friends want me to hang out with them during lunch, Blaze bursts out laughing.

"Oh my God!" she cries. "You have to do it, okay? And then you have to tell me all the horrible things that Rouge says!"

Rouge didn't say anything horrible during lunch. Sure, she questioned my homeschool life and me being pretty; not to mention Cassie's ignorant question about my skin color. Besides all that, The Plastics seem really nice. They shooed creepy Shadow away for crying out loud!

"Rouge seems sweet," I reply.

Blaze frowns at my comment. "Rouge Bayle is not sweet," she starts yelling, getting defensive. "She's a scum-sucking road whore! She ruined my life!"

Big walks out of one of stalls, finishing his business, and adds, "She's fabulous, but she's evil." Don't ask why he's hanging out in the girls' restroom with us.

A green plant girl with pale skin is frightened by Big's appearence in here. "Hey, get out of here!" she cries.

Big tries to say, "Oh my God, X! I love your show!" to the girl, but she runs off.

"Why do you hate her?" I ask Blaze, referring to Rouge.

Blaze's eyes squint. There's something missing in this puzzle. She seems to have this huge vendetta against the queen bee. Something must've happened between them.

"It's none of your business," she answers, still defensive.

"It sure feels like it's my business," I respond. She's the one who was complaining about Rouge, after all.

Big tries to tell me, "Rouge started this rumor that Blaze was-"

"Big!" Blaze interrupts. "Shall we not?!"

She turns to me, taking a deep breath. "Look, this isn't about hating her, okay?" she begins to explain. "I just think that it would be, like, a fun little experiment."

A fun little experiment? Right...and I'm her guinea pig.

"Just hang out with them," Blaze continues. "and then tell us everything that they say."

She's telling me to gossip. I don't know how I feel about this. What do those girls even like? Feeling unsure, I ask her, "Okay, but what do we even talk about?"

"Hair products," Blaze quickly answers.

"Froggy!" Big adds.

Who's Froggy? I turn to Big and ask him, "Is that a band?"

Blaze takes my hand. "Would you just do it?" she asks. "Please?"

"Okay, fine." I say, feeling like I'm obligated to do so. "One more thing: do you have anything pink?"

What? I don't own anything pink - I AM pink!

Blaze rolls her eyes. She says, "No." while Big excitedly answers, "Yes!"

I was so happy to get to my eighth period class, which is math. I mean, I'm good at math. I understand math. Nothing in math class could mess me up.

"Hey, do you have a pencil I can borrow?" a deep voice asks me. I look up, and I see the person sitting in front of me: a male blue hedgehog with emerald green eyes and a smirky smile. He's gorgeous. I've only had one other crush in my life. We were five years old then, and let's just say it didn't work out. This one, however, hit me like a big, yellow school bus.

"Amy, what do you say?" Ms. Parker asks me, trying to snap me out of my trance. Did I mention that I also have her as my calculus teacher?

"So cute..." I mumble, still thinking about that blue hedgehog. I realize I wasn't paying attention and I snap myself out of my trance. "I mean, A-sub-N equals N plus one over four."

"Very good," Ms. Parker smiles as she writes my answer on the chalkboard. She turns to the class and says, "Alright, let's talk about your homework."

After school, I walk home and see my parents on the front poarch, just like yesterday. At least today went better than yesterday.

"Hey," Mom greets to me. "How was your second day?"

Time to kill some conversations. Literally. "Fine," I answer.

"Were people nice?" she asks.

"No," I answer quickly.

"Did you make any friends?" Dad wants to know.

"Yeah," I answer him as I walk through the front door.

The next day, at lunch...

Today's Wedensday, and like Cassie said, 'On Wedensdays, we wear pink'. So Big let me borrow his pink polo shirt, which looks more like a dress when I wear it. I guess that's why they call him 'Big'. Along with his giant shirt, I'm wearing a red headband, baggy blue jeans, and red tennis shoes.

The Plastics have much more going on with the pink theme. For example, Cassie is wearing a light pink long-sleeved top with a dark blue bow on her left chest, a slightly darker pink denim mini skirt, and some pink heels. Elise is wearing a dark pink sweater with a silver necklace, a light brown plaid skirt, and black opened-toed stiletto heels. Rouge is wearing a light pink cardigan over a white tank top with the phrase 'A Little Bit Dramatic' in red font, along with a gold necklace with an 'R' initial, a black leather skirt and pink heels. I definetly could use some fashion tips.

Having lunch with these girls was like leaving the actual world and entering 'Girl World'. And Girl World has a lot of rules.

"...You can't wear a tank top two days in a row," Elise explains to me. "and you can only wear your hair in a headband once a week."

Once a week? I love headbands! They keep my hair in place.

"So I guess you picked today," says Elise. "Oh, and we only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays."

Crap! I'm wearing jeans right now! Guess I need to start shopping.

Elise continues, "Now, if you break any of these rules, you can't sit with us at lunch. I mean, not just you; like any of us." Her voice gets a little softer. "Like, if I were wearing jeans today, I would be sitting over there with the art freaks."

She points to Big's and Blaze's table, where some people are playing with their food. She continues to explain to me, "Oh, and we always vote before we ask someone to eat lunch with us because you have to be considerate of the rest of the group. I mean, you wouldn't buy a skirt without asking your friends first - if it looks good on you."

"I wouldn't?" I question.

"Right," Elise responds. "And it's the same with guys. Like, you may think you like someone, but you could be wrong."

"120 calories and 48 calories from fat," Rouge wonders, looking at a food wrapper. "What percent is that?"

"48 into 120?" Elise questions.

"I'm only eating foods with less than 30% calories from fat," says Rouge.

I answer the bat, "It's 40%." The Plastics look at me with confused looks on their faces. "Well, 48 over 120 equals X over 100, and then you cross-multiply and get the value of X."

They still look confused towards me until Rouge finally says, "Whatever. I'm getting cheese fries."

As Rouge leaves the table, Elise changes the conversation by asking me, "Have you seen any guys that you think are cute yet?"

I nod. "Well, there's this guy in my calculus class..." I tell her hesitantly.

"Who is it?" Cassie wants to know.

"It's a senior?" Elise smiles.

I nod yes to them. "His name's Sonic Mc'Newman," I answer them, referring to the blue hedgehog that sits in front of me.

They both frown and say no to me. Elise warns me, "You can't like Sonic Mc'Newman. That's Rouge's ex-boyfriend."

"They went out for a year," Cassie adds.

"Yeah, and then she was devastated when he broke up with her last summer," Elise says, feeling sorry for Rouge.

Cassie turns to Elise and replies, "I thought she dumped him for Knuckles Shard."

Elise brushes Cassie's comment off and explains to me, "Well, irregardless; ex-boyfriends are just off-limits to friends. I mean, that's like, the rules of feminism. Don't worry, I'll never tell Rouge what you said. It'll be our little secret."

And that was Chapter 3! I wanted to chapter to be much longer, but I figured I'll just end it here. Next chapter will be more of Amy hanging out with The Plastics. Please, if you like this story so far, give it a review, like, and follow! I'm sorry this was such a dialogue-heavy chapter; I just wanted to get it finished. Anyways, I'll see you in Chapter 4.
