Now that we found out that the Kiryuuin had a sister, we had to make a sketch of what she'd look like. A girl with "shrubby" hair that had a prominent streak. Obviously, she's not a baby anymore, so we had to draw her in accordance to how old she might be now. We didn't have much to pinpoint her age with but we know the Kiryuuin girl had to be significantly older. Either way, we tried our best to do a sketch of the what the younger girl looked like currently.
As we searched for them, I wondered what her sister was like. Was this girl just as shy and timid? Or was she more bold? What happened to her? How is she doing? Now, we wondered how old the Kiryuuin girl was, if she has a sister that little. Uzu mentioned that she was in the same grade as us, so she's likely around our age but we couldn't ascertain how young the girl would have had to have been. Gamagoori suggested that we ask about the younger girl in our search because finding her might lead to us to our old classmate.
Our search for the younger girl would color us all surprised when we did happen upon a girl with shrubby hair, snoozing, while clutching a familiar sweater. Sure enough, she had a streak in her hair. She wasn't homeless, no, but she was sleeping on the streets. With her, there was another girl, up earlier than she, waiting for her to wake up. I don't know why but I opted to show the girl our sketch and she happily answered with the energy of 1,000 bunnies on bath salts. She told me the younger girl we sketched is named, "Ryuuko" but she doesn't know much about her last time. I guess "Ryuuko" decided to wake up, asking, "What the hell, Mako?!" "Mako", as we found out, promptly told her that we wanted to talk to her and ask her about the sweater.
"What the fuck do y'all want?"
"Where did you get that sweater?"
"It was my sister's."
"Sister?"
"Yes, my big sister. She left me at Mako's house with this and a note."
"Hold on, a note?"
She pulled out a picture, one of her and, to our surprise, our old classmate. She was like how we remembered but, in the photo, her face was obscured by her hair. She was wearing that same sweater and, on the back of the photo was a simple note, "Please take care of my baby sister." So, we knew it, the Kiryuuin girl had a younger sister but Ryuuko couldn't answer what happened to the older girl, just saying, "You tell me that, 'cause all I can tell you is that, when I was really little, she left me at Mako's house." At that point, she looked like she could cry and, indeed, she struggled to hold back any tears. "I don't know where she is or why she left me but I want my sister." she said, almost quiet, as if she was little again.
"What is your sister's name?"
"I dunno. I jus' call her 'Memory' because she's in my memories."
She asked us if we knew and I could see her heart break. I'm not usually so nice but I could only give her my sympathies and Uzu apologized for not knowing "Memory's" real name, while Gamagoori offered her something in which to dry her tears with. Underneath this "tough girl" persona was a little girl who just wanted her big sister again. "Her heart's been broken and she wanted to know where Memory went or why she doesn't visit at all." Mako told us, before saying, "I know she loved Ryuuko."
