Episode 102: Fight for the Light

At last, after walking through the desert, Mew and her friends have reached the end. They all gasp in excitement.

Tomo cheers, "Alright!"

Everyone rushes to the cliff to overlook the city. Finally, they've reached their destination and to Mew's next gym battle to earn her fifth badge, Olivine City.

Mew happily says, "We've finally made it."

"Yeah. We've reached Olivine City!" Tomo says.

Then Mew turns to the others, "Come on everyone, let's find the gym so I can win another badge!"

Mew soon runs ahead.

Pikachu agrees, "Pika!" (Let's go!)

"Eevee!" (Come on!) Eevee adds.

And with that, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee run ahead.

"Mew is really excited!" Brock says.

"I know, she's really been looking forward to this battle!" Mew says.

"Come on, let's go," Jen says.

And with that, everyone follows Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee to find the Olivine City Gym.

As they run ahead, three trash cans hop into the street.

Jessie is the first to pop out, "To encourage proper sanitation!"

James pops his own head out of the other large can, "And prevent garbage decontamination!"

Meowth pops his head out of the small can with a grin, "We recycle our motto all da time, but dis trash talk's a complete waste!"

"I think you may be right. But the worst part is, this disguise was my idea!" Jessie shouts.

Soon something catches their attention.

"Hey. Check out dat office building," Meowth says.

"With all those offices, someone must be hiring!" Jessie says.

"But who'd give us a job? We ain't got no experience," Meowth questions.

James cheers, "Yay! Then we can be TV executives!"

Jessie and Meowth rush on ahead

"Let's go! Let's go!" Jessie calls out.

"Outta my way!" Meowth says.

"Wait for me!" James calls out and follows.

The three soon reach the nearby office as they chant, "We're gonna make lots of money! We're gonna make lots of money! We're gonna make lots of money! We're gonna make lots of mon…"

But are soon stopped by the guard at front, "Stop right there."

Team Rocket stops in confusion.

"Show us your badges," The second guard says.

"Badges?" Jessie questions.

"Ah. But of course," James says and gets out a portfolio full of bottle caps, "Here, my bottle cap badges."

But the guards crossed their arms.

The first guard says, "Those are not the right kind."

"Oh, really? Then tell me what other kind of bottle cap badges there are!" James interrogates.

But the first guard says, "We need to see some gym badges!"

"Gym badges? "James says, confused and asks, "What is this place?"

"This place is the Battle Tower. Only those with gym badges are allowed in," The second guard says.

Team Rocket slumps.

"So much for that, "Jessie says in defeat.

"And I already had my office decorated," Meowth says.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others arrive at the Olivine Gym.

Mew calls out, "Excuse me! I've come to challenge the Olivine Gym Leader."

Suddenly, someone says, "Welcome, trainer!"

Soon, the doors open, and the voice says, "You may now enter the gym!"

Everyone soon walks inside the gym.

The voice continues, "Walk straight ahead to the battlefield!"

"It feels kinda spooky in here," Misty says.

"Any idea what kind of Pokémon they like to fight with at this place?" Brock asks.

"Well, last I checked, the Pokemon here specializes in Steel Types," Mew says.

Soon, they reach the door, and someone calls out, "You may enter!"

The door to the battlefield opens and the gang enters before the lights come on.

"Which one of you dares to challenge me to a Pokémon battle?" The voice says.

Mew steps forward, "I do!"

The door on the other side of the battlefield opens to reveal a small girl. A little girl.

"I'm Jasmine, the leader of the Olivine City gym. They call me the Battling Beauty," The little girl, Jasmine says.

The little girl has dark teal hair, a yellow dress and has a bag.

Mew says, "I'm Mew from Pallet Town! And I've come here to challenge you to a Pokemon Battle to earn a Mineral badge!"

Jasmine steps forward and says, "I'll battle you. This'll be a three on three match. Ready, Mew?"

"Ready!" Mew says with a nod.

Then Jasmine throws her Pokeball as she calls out, "Alright, Onix, go!"

And an Onix comes out, but something's off about it.

"Hey, wait a minute. Doesn't that Onix look shiny?" Misty says

Yeah," Brock says.

Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Alright, Totodile, go!"

Totodile comes out, but 'Jasmine' seems unconcerned

"A water Pokémon, I knew it," Jasmine says.

"How come she's acting so calm?" Mew questions. Then narrows her eyes, "Something's up."

Jasmine then calls out, "Onix, Tackle, now!"

Onix rears up to strike.

Mew calls out, "Totodile, Water Gun attack!"

Totodile fires the attack, and pushes Onix back once it hits it in the face.

"Alright!" Brock cheers.

"That should take care of it, "Misty says.

"Rock Pokemon are weak against water," Jen says.

Mew narrows her eyes and looks at Onix carefully. And just then, Onix pushes through it and closes in on Totodile. Mew gasps in realization. Onix slams its head on the ground, with the force knocking out Totodile.

"Totodile!" Mew calls out,

"Guess I win the first battle," Jasmine says with a smile.

"Totodile, return!" Mew says and returns him to the Pokeball.

Then Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Go Weepinbell!"

And with that, Weepinbell comes out.

"Great idea! Weepinbell is strong against an Onix!" Tomo says.

Mew then calls out, "Weepinbell, use Razor Leaf!"

Weepeinbell then uses Razor Leaf and strikes at it with full force.

"Oh no!" Jasmine cries out.

Then calls out, "Onix, use Bind!"

Onix then charges in for an attack.

But Mew acts fast and calls out, "Quick, dodge Weepinbell!"

Weepeinbell dodges the attack as it moves back and jumps into the air. Weepingbell's leaves begin to glow light green and grow larger. Then strikes at Onix with full force.

"Onix!" Jasmine cries out.

"What was that?" Molly asks.

"It looks like Power Whip!" Brock says.

"So Weepinbell learned a new attack," Misty says.

"Alright Weepinbell!" Mew cheers.

Weepinbell lands on the ground and is happy.

"Now, give it another Power Whip!" Mew calls out.

Weepinbell jumps up and is ready to perform the next attack.

But then… "Stop the match, now!"

Weepinbell halts and lands as everyone turns in shock as a tall, willowy figure steps into the area. The young woman has long light brown hair and wears a white dress. She also has a Magnemite resting on her right shoulder.

"This battle is over. I'm sorry to have to stop you like this, but this is not a legitimate match," The young woman says.

Brock soon becomes love struck again, "I'm in love! We must be in Heaven!"

Mew says, "Let me take a wild guess, you're actually Jasmine, the real Olivine City Gym Leader, correct?

"You are correct. I'm Jasmine," The young woman says.

Then turns to the young girl, "This young girl is one of my apprentices here and should certainly know better."

"What?!" Tomo, Jen, and Molly exclaim in shock.

"I thought so. That girl looks too young to be a gym leader," Mew says.

The young apprentice tries to sneak away, but Jasmine calls out to her, "Janina?"

"Yes?!" The girl, Janina says, coming to a halt.

"Please come with me for a moment," Jasmine says and walks into the hallway.

"Okay," Janina says, slumping her shoulders.

Then recalls her Pokemon, "Onix, return."

Janina heads to the hallway, but not before turning to see the others, "I apologize for tricking you."

"It's cool. No harm done," Mew says.

Janina smiles and nods.

But then Mew says, "And Janina…"

"Yes?" Janina replies.

"The next time you wanna battle against someone, I suggest you don't use Water-Repellent Wax on your Onix. It's not a good way to treat it, and it's against the rules to use that stuff," Mew says.

Janina flinches as the others gasp in shock.

"Um okay…" Janina says, and runs out.

Molly turns to Mew and asks, "How were you able to tell she used Water-Repellent Wax?"

"It's the shiny coating on Onix, and how she was so confident when I used Totodile, it was a dead giveaway," Mew says.

"I thought there was something funny about that Onix," Misty says, and turns to Brock, "Right Brock?"

But Brock is in La La Land, "Oh, Jasmine. Oh, Jasmine. The sound of her name pierces my heart like cupid's arrow!"

"Is there any girl he doesn't love?" Misty questions.

"Besides us," Mew says.

Misty giggles, "Good point."

Weepinbell hops to Mew and says, "Weep." (Mew.)

Mew turns to Weepinbell, "Yes Weepinbell?"

"Weep Weepin Weep Weep Weepinbell," (Can I have the Leaf Stone now? You agreed that I could evolve when I learned Power Whip, right?) Weepingbell says.

Mew giggles, "I did agree, didn't I."

Mew then reaches into her bag and brings out a Leaf Stone.

"Whatcha doing, Mew?" Jen asks.

"Weepinbell said that she wants to evolve after learning Power Whip. Now that she learns how to do it, she likes to evolve," Mew says.

Then presents the stone to Weepinbell, "Here you go."

Weepinbell uses her leaves to pick up the stone. Then she and the stone glows as Weepinbell evolves. Now Weepinbell is now a Victreebel.

Mew smiles, "Congrats on evolving, Victreebel."

In Jasmine's office…

Jasmine sits down and questions, "Janina, did you coat your Onix with water-repellent wax like the trainer states?"

"Yes, it took me quite a while, but I coated every inch of it from head to tail," Janina answers.

But Jasmine says, "You're not allowed to do that."

"I guess that trainer was right," Janina says, feeling a bit shocked.

And then says, "But I've been doing just what you taught me. I've been communicating with my Pokémon and learning everything I can about it. And I thought I could make it stronger against water but using that wax."

"You really don't understand, do you?" Jasmine says, and places her hands on her face.

"I'm sorry," Janina apologizes.

"Okay, you need to spend some time alone with your Pokémon, away from the gym. Maybe then you'll begin to understand them better," Jasmine says.

"Yes, ma'am," Janina says.

And with that, the young apprentice leaves the gym.

She sadly says to herself, "Now what?"

Back inside the gym, Jasmine apologizes to Mew about what happened, "I have to apologize for Janina's poor behavior. And, normally, I would make it up to you by inviting you to engage in a proper battle. But now, I'm not physically or emotionally able to give you a good fight. I'm sorry."

"What's the matter, Jasmine? Maybe we can help you out," Misty asks.

"It's just that my little Sparkle's not feeling well and I can't pay attention to anything else," Jasmine says.

"Your little Sparkle?" Mew says, confused.

Misty giggles, "Funny, my Pikachu is named Sparkle."

"Pika Pika," (That's true.) Sparkle the Pikachu says.

Soon, Jasmine gets a phone call and picks it up, "This is Jasmine. Yes. Yes. I'll be right there."

She hangs up the phone and apologizes again, "Sorry, I have to go." and exits the room.

Later Mew and the others are walking through the park.

"I hope she'll be alright," Molly says.

"I wonder who Sparkle is," Brock thinks, "Hey, maybe it's her cousin. Do you think she's as pretty as Jasmine?

"When do you think she'll be ready to battle with you?" Misty asks.

"Probably once her Sparkle gets better. Not sure when. I forgot to ask," Mew says.

"Yeah. And she won't be at the gym anymore by this time," Brock says.

"So what do you wanna do now?" Tomo asks.

Misty soon notices, "Hey, look over there."

Everyone looks and sees Janina scrubbing her Onix.

"Hey, Janina!" Mew calls out.

Janina turns to the group and says, "I shouldn't have played that trick on you, I'm sorry."

"Don't worry, it's not that big a deal," Mew says.

"And I see you're getting the wax off your Onix," Mew says.

"Yes," Janina says with a nod, "I'm trying to clean it off by scrubbing it with sand."

"Still, that would explain why it wasn't affected by Totodile's Water Gun attack," Misty says.

And Brock says, "And what Mew said to you is true. That's not a very kind way to treat your Onix, you know."

"I know that, now," Janina says, and sadly says, "But all I ever wanted was to be an apprentice at Jasmine's gym, and I was just hoping to make her proud of me, that's all. So I decided to do whatever I could to overcome Onix's weakness."

"So that was it," Tomo says.

"Skwovet," (Sounds rough.) Skwovet says.

"And no one ever told me it was against the rules," Janina says.

Then Brock advises, "Instead of trying to erase a Pokémon's weaknesses, you have to encourage its natural strengths."

"But how am I supposed to do that?" Janina asks.

"If you listen to your Onix with both your heart and your ears, you'll learn everything you need to," Brock says.

Janina realizes, "Hey! That's exactly what Jasmine used to tell me to do!"

"And she's right. Just spend some time with Onix to understand it and you'll be a great team," Mew says.

"Thanks. And again, sorry for tricking you like that. You're a pretty strong trainer," Janina says.

"Thanks," Mew says.

"So Janina, are there cool places to see here?" Tomo asks.

"Yes. The Shining Lighthouse is a special landmark of our city. It's down on the wharf. In fact, I think Jasmine and her grandfather should be there now," Janina says.

"Thanks. We can see Jasmine over there and check out this light house," Mew says.

"Then let's go," Misty says.

"Yay," Molly happily says.

Everyone says their goodbyes to Janina and Onix and make their way to the Lighthouse.

Janina turns to her Pokemon, "So, I guess I'll have to try listening to you a little bit better."

Sometime later, Mew and her friends arrive at the wharf to see two lighthouses. The larger one is a modern Lighthouse while the smaller brick one is the Shining Lighthouse.

"Wait a minute, I see two lighthouses down here," Tomo says.

"Yeah," Brock says, and checks the guidebook, "The closer one is the Shining Lighthouse. It seems it has quite a history."

"And Jasmine should be there, right?" Misty says.

"That's right," Mew says.

"Can we go see?" Molly asks.

"Sure, let's go," Mew says.

The group begins to walk into the Shining Lighthouse. Meanwhile, Team Rocket watches from afar.

"That pier's the perfect place to snatch Pikachu and Eevee," Jessie says.

"Yeah, but dis time we ain't using no disguise," Meowth says.

"You didn't like the trash can plan?" James questions.

"It's still stinking!" Meowth calls out.

"It's not us. I don't smell anything," Jessie says.

"Dat's cause you ain't downwind!" Meowth shouts.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others reach the Shining Lighthouse.

"This place MUST have a long history. It's old, but still well preserved," Misty says.

"I agree," Jen says.

Soon, the gang enters the lighthouse.

"Hello? Anyone here?" Mew calls out.

Then Brock calls out, "Jasmine! It's your one and only Brock!"

"Hello!" Molly calls out.

So far, no one answers.

"Doesn't look like anyone's here," Mew says.

Then Misty says, "Come on, let's go up and find out."

The gang then walks up the stairs and all the way to the top of the lighthouse. Upon arriving they see a Pokemon.

"What Pokemon is that?" Molly asks.

"That's an Ampharos," Mew says, and takes out her Pokedex.

Dexter says, "Ampharos, the Light Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Mareep. An Electric Type. Ampahros emits a strong light from the tip of its tail, which can be seen over long distances and serve as a beacon to those who are lost.

"So my Mareep will become that Pokemon?" Jen asks.

"Someday," Mew says.

Then Misty asks, "Does that mean this Ampharos makes the light that comes from the Shining Lighthouse?"

Soon, Mew spots someone, "Hey, look."

Soon, Jasmine arrives and someone, a middle aged man is with her. He is wearing a dark green shirt with yellowish orange ovals on it and beige pants.

Seeing Mew and her friends, Jasmine says, "Oh, hello again."

"You know these folks?" The elderly man asks.

"Jasmine!" Brock happily says.

Then Jasmine says, These people came to the Olivine City Gym for a Pokémon battle. We met earlier."

Then the man says, "I'm Jasmine's grandpa, Myron."

"Nice to meet you," Everyone replies.

Then Jasmine aske, "So, why'd you come here?"

"We decided to check out the lighthouse," Molly says.

"And since you're here, we like to ask when we can battle. I remember you mentioned until your Sparkle gets better," Mew says.

"I'm sorry, but as long as little Sparkle is not feeling well, I can't make a promise," Jasmine says, and turns to the Ampharos.

"So Sparkle is what you call your Ampharos," Brock says.

Then Myron explains, Let me see if I can explain it to you. Long long ago, before there was electricity, we used the light in the end of Ampharos' tail to light up this lighthouse. Even though a new electric powered lighthouse was finally built next to this one, the Shining Lighthouse is still an important part of our local tradition and loved by all the people here. However, recently, Ampharos has not been feeling well and the light on its tail has gotten much weaker. Jasmine and I have done all we can, but it hasn't seemed to help. The people in town are quite worried."

Jasmine then walks to her Pokemon to comfort her.

"Poor Sparkle," Molly says.

Sparkle the Pikachu walks over and feels sad for Sparkle the Ampharos.

"Isn't there anything you can do to help Sparkle get better?" Mew asks, worried.

"Well, actually, I ordered a very rare and powerful medicine from the pharmacy in Cianwood City. I just got a call that it's ready and we can come pick it up anytime," Myron says.

Then Jasmine turns to the others, "I wanted Janina to go get it, but when I saw her trick you like that, I sent her away, and now there's no one to go."

Then Mew has an idea, "Maybe my friends and I can do it."

"Yeah. We can pick up the medicine and bring it back to you," Brock says.

Jasmine feels relieved, "Really? Oh, thank you!"

"The boat is leaving soon, so you'd better hurry," Myron says.

"Cianwood City is straight across the water. Right?" Misty asks

"Right," Myron says.

"You sure it's okay?" Jasmine asks.

"We're sure. The sooner we get the medicine to Sparkle, the sooner she'll get better,," Mew says.

"And Mew can compete against you once Sparkle is feeling better," Tomo adds.

Pikachu and Eevee agree.

Brock says, excited, "Oh, Jasmine! For you, I'd sail the seven seas!"

Misty sighs, "The ocean breeze is calling me."

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is spying on the gang from outside.

Seeing his reflection, James says, "My hair is really working today."

"Are you using dat new gel?" Meowth asks.

But Jessie says, "Forget your reflection and listen to me! I'd say that Ampharos, is the perfect souvenir for the boss."

"A poifectly portable Poké-light don't need batteries," Meowth says.

Soon, Jasmine spots them, Mew and the others soon spot them as well.

Team Rocket!" Jen exclaims.

"Not them again!" Tomo shouts.

Mew then demands, "Where did you come from?! What do you want?!"

And with that, Team Rocket begins their motto.

Jessie:

Need a clue? Prepare for trouble!

James:

Make it two, and I mean double!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie:

Jessie.

James:

James.

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

Team Rocket hops into their balloon.

"What do you want this time?!" Misty demands.

Meowth answers, "We're taking dat Ampharos, dat's what!"

"Oh, yeah? That's what you think!" Mew says.

A missile soon lowers from that basket.

"Get ready for da mystery missile!" Meowth says.

With the press of a button, the missile launches. Everyone panics as the missile heads towards them. Instead of hitting and exploding, the missile flies upward. Then it stops and dive downward and through the roof of the lighthouse.

Mew takes Tomo, Jen, and Molly back, "Everyone stay back."

The missile soon opens and Weezing pops out.

"It's Team Rocket's Weezing!" Brock shouts.

Weezing then uses Smokescreen.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Mew calls out.

"Jasmine, don't worry! I got your Ampharos!" Brock says, and carries Sparkle the Ampharos on his back."

Everyone heads down the stairs.

"Hurry!" Mew calls out.

Meanwhile, Janina and her Onix are walking along the wharf

"I think it's gonna take a while to understand my Onix. But when I do, I sure hope Jasmine lets me come back to the gym," Janina says.

Both Janina and Onix notice the smoke coming from the Shining Lighthouse and Team Rocket's balloon hovering near it.

"Something bad is happening at the Shining Lighthouse!" Janina says, shocked.

Meanwhile, everyone rushes towards the exit.

"Hang in there, everyone! We're almost out of here!" Brock calls out.

Suddenly, as they reach the door, iron bars drop down.

"What?!" Brock cries out.

Soon, it's revealed that Team Rocket dropped a cage on them

"Gotcha! Prepare for take off," Meowth says.

The balloon lifts off with the cage underneath it, with Brock and Ampharos inside.

"Things are sure looking up today," Jessie says.

"I think we should gloat as we float," James says.

Brock tries to kick the door down, but it's not working, "It's no use! I can't break the lock!"

Everyone else rushes outside as the cage floats away.

Jasmine cries out, "Come back, Sparkle!"

"Hold on, Brock!" Misty calls out.

And Mew calls out, "We're coming!"

But then Jessie calls out, "Back away, everyone! The show is over, but thanks for coming out to see us today."

"I just love the sound of adoring fans," James says.

"Speaking of fans…" Meowth says, and puts a fan on the edge of the basket, "Our getaway today is gonna be fantastic!"

With the press of a button, the fan causes the balloon to swerve in another direction

"Come back here!" Tomo shouts.

Jessie and James calls out, "Toodle-oo!"

"We gotta stop em!" Mew says and rushes ahead to try and find a way to stop them.

James and Jessie cheer, "Hip-hip hooray! We won today! The boss will raise our pay!"

Suddenly Janina's voice calls out, "Stop!"

Team Rocket looks and sees Janina and her Onix at the ready.

"Out of the way, you little twerp," Jessie shouts.

Myron notices, "Why, that's…"

"Jamina!" Jasmine adds in surprise.

Janina calls out, "Hurry, Onix! Cut the wire, now!"

Onix darts its head forward.

"Not so fast, you brat!" Jessie angrily says and calls out her Pokemon, "Go, Arbok!"

Arbok comes out of the Pokeball and coils its tail around the bars of the cage, stopping Onix.

"Arbok, Poison Sting attack," Jessie calls out.

Arbk launches the attack, but Onix blocks the attack with its tail to protect Janina.

"Thanks for rescuing me, Onix," Janina says.

Jessie turns to Meowth, "Hurry up, Meowth. Head out over the ocean."

"You got it!" Meowth says, and turns the fan in another direction.

"Once we're over water, the Onix won't come after us," James says.

Onix slithers after Team Rocket.

Janina calls out, "Wait! Stop! Come back here!"

However, the balloon is soon over water.

And Janina calls out, "Onix, stop!"

Onix does so.

"You're not covered with wax anymore!" Janina says.

Jessie then begins to taunt them "Hey, what's the matter? You don't want to play with us anymore?"

"Onix, I'm feeling just as bad as you are. I know we can think of something," Janina says, reassuring her Pokemon.

Then tries to come up with an idea, "Onix's strengths are; it's really hard, it's really strong, and it's long." She then notices Arbok hanging upside down from the cage by the tail, "And it's long."

And Janina has an idea, "That's it!" And says to her Pokemon, "Onix, you think you can reach that Arbok?"

Onix confirms.

"Okay, grab something with your mouth and hold on really tight," Janina says.

Onix grabs a rock with its mouth, allowing Janina to hop off its head.

Then Janina says, "Go, Onix! Bind attack!

Onix reaches over the water and coils its tail around Arbok.

"Yeah!" Brock cheers.

Jessie cries out, "You're ruining our happy ending!"

"We should've gloated and floated a little faster," James says.

Jessie says, "Meowth, get us out of here, quick."

"Aye, aye, skipper!" Meowth says.

"Ay yi yi!" James says.

The balloon tries to fly away, but Onix refuses to let it go, causing Arbok great pain.

"Don't let go! Hold on!" Janina calls out.

Brock and Apharos watch the whole thing.

Excellent. She's really learning how to use Onix's strong points!" Brock.

Everyone else comes running.

"Hang in there, Onix!" Mew calls out.

"You can do it!" Tomo calls out.

"Go Janina!" Jen calls out.

"Your young apprentice is pretty good," Myron says, impressed.

Jasmine stands in surprised silence.

Janina calls out, "Good, Onix! Keep it up!"

Soon, the balloon starts going back the other way as Meowth frantically pushes control buttons to operate the fan

"You call this driving?! You're going the wrong way!" Jessie shouts.

"Accelerate! Accelerate!" James calls out.

Meowth however is panicking, "I am! I am! But it ain't woiking!"

Janina then grabs a rock, "Just keep on pulling, Onix!" and runs up Onix's body and leaps onto the cage, grabbing the door.

"Janina!" Brock calls out.

"I'll get you out of there! Hold on!" Janina says, and bangs on the lock with the rock she picked up until it finally breaks.

Janina opens the cage and calls out, "Hurry!"

"Thanks a lot," Brock says.

Brock exits the cage and Janina follows.

Once safe on the ground floor, Brock says, "Quick Mew, use Pikachu and Eevee on them!"

"Electricity won't hurt Onix!" Janina says.

And with that, both Pikachu and Eevee perform Thunderbolt and it lands on Team Rocket, shocking them.

Then Janina calls out, "Alright, Onix, now send them flying!"

Onix throws Team Rocket as hard and as far as it can.

Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

Wobbu!" Wobbuffet cries out.

Brock puts Sparkle down.

"Sparkle!" Jasmine says in relief.

And both the trainer and her Pokemon hug.

"You're alright!" Jasmine says in relief.

She then turns to Janina, "Thank you so much, Janina."

"You're welcome, Miss Jasmine," Janina says.

Then Jasmine says, "You and your Onix worked so beautifully together. You're finally learning to communicate with your Onix really well, and I'm extremely proud of you."

"But am I still expelled, Miss Jasmine?" Janina asks.

Jasmine becomes confused, "Expelled? What are you talking about? I never said you were expelled?"

"Then I'm allowed to go back to the gym?" Janina asks.

"Of course," Jasmine says.

Janina smiles in reply, "Oh, thank you!"

"You did a great job, Janina," Mew says.

Thanks," Janina replies.

A ship's whistle is soon heard.

"Well, you better get going. The ferry's about to head out," Myron says.

Then Jasmine says to Janina, "I'd like to ask you a favor, Janina. Would you mind going to Cianwood City to get Ampharos' medicine for me?"

"I'd be happy to!" Janina happily says.

"Well, I wonder what we should do now," Mew says.

"Got me," Misty answers.

Myron then says, "Cianwood City's got a gym.

"Really? I didn't know that," Mew says, surprised.

"Cianwood gym is home of the Storm badge," Myron says.

Then Brock says, "You know, Mew, if you can't fight a battle here right now, we might as well go to Cianwood City, too."

"You're right, guys," Mew says, "Let's do it! Come on, Pikachu, Eevee. Are you ready?"

"Pika Pika!" (Ready to roll!) Pikachu says.

"Eevee Eevee!" (I'm ready when you are!) Eevee says.

"Come on, everybody! We better hurry!" Janina says.

Mew, Janina, Tomo, Jen, Molly, and the other Pokemon hurry ahead.

"My dear Jasmine, it's bittersweet to part like…" Brock says to Jasmine

But Misty pushes Brock forward, "Come on, Romeo, move it!"

Soon, Mew and the others are on the ferry as it prepares to set sail while Team Rocket is seen draped on the anchor. Until Ampharos gets better and Mew can return to face Jasmine in a gym battle. They say goodbye to Jasmine, Myron and Sparkle the Ampharos as they make their way to Cianwood City so Mew can battle for a Storm Badge.
