The power of magic is something odd, even in the opinion of wizards. Magic was mysterious and seemingly miraculous, but also followed laws that often behaved like a unique science or manipulation there of in ways that no other can. Ancient magic is a whole another pot of worms. Ancient magic, no matter where you go, always is more powerful and more unknown in the terms of magical power. Even in modern day where more resources are provided in the endeavor to study ancient magic, very few glimpses of information or techniques are recorded. Lets look at the world of Tortus for example. That world has only seven ancient magics, but they are very powerful in terms of power.
What would happen if the ancient magic of Tortus were to end up in the hands of someone who is 'destined' to save the world from the wrath of a dark lord? What would happen if a demon king and his vampire wife took pity on Harry Potter and gave him the power to save the world, and explore the world in all it has to offer, and the worlds beyond.

In an apartment building in Japan, was a strange group of people, atleast by japanese standards. Even as the world has changed and become filled with certain oddities due to an unknown change in the laws of the world. The group contained a woman with blue hair and bunny ears, a kid with blue hair and fish-like body parts connected to her ears, a man with black hair and an eyepatch and metal arm, and a pale girl with blonde hair and red eyes. These were the abnormal looking ones, though there were those who looked normal but still had the touch of oddness to them, like the magic scene on national japanese news recently.
The man was sitting with the blonde hair girl who was a 300 hundred year old vampire named Yue, and the boy's name being Hajime Nagumo. He was sitting there with one of his wives, using ancient magic to view the many worlds the infinite reality had to offer. While traveling worlds connected to the world tree of his universe, he discovered it was not the only tree, as the tree of his world was only one of many in a garden that endlessly expands. When he discovered this, his chuuni ambition to see multiple worlds reeled back its head and he could not wait to view these worlds. Despite how serious he became in his journey in Tortus, somethings remained burried within that can never go away.
"Hey Yue, what worlds do you think we might see today?" asked Hajime as Yue was in the kitchen, working on cooking a meal for their household. She shared cooking duties with Hiyori and the two often battle to see who can cook better. "Maybe another fantasy world, or a science fiction one" said Yue as she took a tray of lasagna out of the oven. Yue wanted to expirament with Earth food and particularly like western dishes like lasagna. She cut out a piece for her husband and sat down with a piece of her own as she gave him his piece.
Hajime then began to cast spatial magic and began to view different world trees. He went through the garden until he saw a huge group of trees at once that he particularly felt drawn to, be it by his own desire or some other instinct. As their sight neared the trees, their vision changed as they enetered one of the worlds on the tree branches. It was a world that reflected their own earth, but in the 80's so to speak. Hajime began to search the world for something interesting. As Hajime searched with his wife, he found a part of the world hidden from the normal front. It was a world that had a certain feel for it, and Hajime knew what it was when he saw a woman in a purple cloak transfigure a toad into a walking stick.
Hajime immediately could tell it was magic, his right eye told him so. Though he could not indentify an energy signature that fuels the magic, meaning this magic might not rely on the mana he is familiar with, not even ki is being detected. Hajime wanted to examine further but Yue wanted to see what city they were in so Hajime put it on the back burner. As he zoomed out of the magical place, he came upon the big ben, which indentified the place he was in, London. Hajime has only been to London once, and that was to check on the Earth branch of the world tree. As he began to travel towards a different place on this alternate Earth, Yue dripped her head down, and Hajime looked over in worry.
'Help me, please!' heard Yue as thought she was hearing a prayer. After the defeat of Ehit and the banishment from Yue's body, she gained different abilities from the mad god and one was the ability to hear prayer. She heard the cries of a child and used spatial magic to view where the prayer came from. It came from a house, 4 on private drive and it was centered in a cupboard. Yue was filled with dread at what it seemed to indicate, and when she told her feelings to Hajime, his own face seemed to revert back to the seriousness he gained from his own life struggles.
"If this feeling of yours turns out to be true, then I will have some words with the residents of this house" said Hajime. Yue then peered into the cupboard and found a 9 year old boy laying on a worn cot. He had dark black hair, green eyes, and a thin physique too young for a child his age. Yue could also see vague bruises near his wrist and somewhat near his head. Yue covered her mouth in horror at what this revealed and tears began welling in her eyes. Hajime felt livid at both the action inflicted on this young boy, and the fact his wide burst into tears at this act. Both seemingly filled him with righteous fury, and it seemingly made him do something he never though he would do. He used spatial magic to step directly outside the house. He used creation magic to open the doors and stepped inside. He went to the cupboard and unlocked it as well, and he now layed his eye on the boy and saw his condition in person.
Hajime's face was now caked with rage as he went up stairs and opened doors quietly until he found the ones with the supposed 'parents' of the young man. He also came upon another child that unlike the one downstairs, was very fat and almost pig-like in nature. He stared at the adults and began to use a spell concocted from spirit magic to give them terrible nightmares and gruesome torture. Their screams never escaped for their sound was sealed with the room. He then went back down stairs to see his wife. "Hajime, I can sense something special within this child" said Yue as Hajime joined her side.
"what is this gift you speak of?" asled Hajime as he awaited his wifes answer. "I fell he has an affinity with the ancient magics" said Yue. Hajimes eyes widened in surprise at this revelation. Having an affinity to abilities outside your world is crazy. "I don't see why that matters" said Hajime. He already did alot more than he usually did and wanted to leave quickly to go back home. "Well, maybe we could..." Yue said but never finished as Hajime cut her off. "We are not giving him ancient magic Yue. For one, the difference between our worlds may mean he cannot use it and 2, why would you want to give him this power?" asked Hajime waiting for an answer.
"Well, I can feel familiar blood in him, the blood of an atavist" said Yue which made Hajime widen his eyes. Though his stance has not easily changed, even if the situation was extraordinary. "So?" said Hajime, his face somewhat remaining stoic but somewhat faltering under his wifes eyes. "But I feel a connection to him, a blood connection" said Yue as Hajimes face falters. "So please let me bring this one relative I have left under our care and raise him as our child, I am begging you!" screamed Yue as Hajime backed away in surprise. He never saw his wife act this way, and he seen her do stuff pretty out of the norm.
Hajime wanted to remain firm, but he eventually broke. "Fine, we will take him with us and we will raise him with love" Hajime said as he looked over at the boy. He did feel pity at the boys situation but wanted to leave it be as it already interfered with their lives enough. But when Yue gave her heart out to this boy, the last blood relative that she might have, and he gave into her pleading. So he took the boy and left with Yue, not knowing the consequence of their actions on the wizarding world.
