Chapter 7

He needed a distraction after that.

The conversation with Toshi… didn't go quite as planned in Sukuna's mind. In fact, he has remained silent on the notion that he could tell Toshi was not too interested in the notion.

It's understandable, but at least it was an option.

Now, he has to find Calypso. He promised her lessons as well… also Chusi keeps doing follow ups with that child to see if he HAS been teaching her anything.

He did eventually find the young dragon. When she saw him, her eyes lit up. "SENSEI!" she called.

"Just… Sukuna is fine," he insisted. "We need to get your lesson plan up and running once more, do you have time now?"

She nodded. In fact, that child rushed home grabbed her notebook and came back within a five second time frame.

Damn dragons.

"We will continue where we left off from the last time, we need to go outside of the domain for this." He happened to have his mask ready. Once on, he escorted her out of the domain and to one of the various fields that he would find rare herbs from. But today… he took her to the Tooru graveyard.

He explained to her what this place was, however, before even stepping into it. The child froze. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"This… is a final resting place for the souls… we shouldn't be here." She said gently.

Sukuna smirked. "Child, if you know the Toorus as well as I do. If there is something here that can help someone later on, they don't mind if their grave is stepped upon." He walked into the resting site unhindered and without fear.

Calypso was a little more conservative; she closed her eyes and uttered a prayer before stepping in. But, once she did. She started to see what grew here. "Wait, isn't that… and over there… that's… but… it shouldn't be growing here?!"

"Some of the rarest herbs are found here." He explained. "Part of the reason why the family picked this place to bury their dead. The uncle who I learned from, who taught me what I am teaching you now, rests here. It appears some of the more rare plants followed him and picked this place to rest themselves. If anything, even if they are gone, the family still takes care of their own."

She was taken aback by his words. Calypso merely nodded as she began to make notes. She drew everything, the name of the plant, properties and how to cultivate it for use. Sukuna went into great detail with her so she understood what the plant did, how much to harvest and how to collect without killing the plant entirely. "The uncle explained that even the side leaves can be used…"

"Cleaning up around here again?"

He paused and sighed aloud, turning his head he saw Six Eyes lingering, smiling as Sukuna was on his knees and being gentle with flowers.

Of course a picture was taken of that.

"This doesn't concern you, Six Eyes!" he snapped back.

"But, I want to learn too!" he said sarcastically. "Like, what's that?!" he pointed to a random patch of grass.

"Grass," Sukuna said in an annoyed tone. "Look, Six Eyes, mock me later. I'm in the middle…"

"What's that?!"

He peered over. "Weeds!"

"And that…"

"GET LOST!" Sukuna roared. His voice echoed in the mountains, it made the ground shake and yet, Six Eyes could care less. In fact, he got into Sukuna's face and smiled.

"Or… what?" he asked curiously.

BASH!

"OW!" they both shouted. Somehow, their heads clashed together.

"What the hell!" he roared at Six Eyes.

"What's your issue!" he snapped back.

But, Sukuna's blood ran cold when he heard someone brushing their hands with satisfaction. He peered over and saw Chusi with the biggest smile on her face. "There, that should do it!" she decreed.

"Do what?!" Six Eyes demanded.

Sukuna on the other hand, prostrated before Chusi! "I'm sorry! Please undo this!"

"She didn't do nothing!" Six Eyes protested. Yet he turned to Chusi. "Right?"

She only smiled…

It was just as wicked as Sukuna's when things go his way… when he's about to do something so vile, it makes humans fear him… this was the feeling Sukuna was getting now.

"Come talk to me tomorrow, and see if I did… nothing as you said." Chusi said in a challenging tone.

"GET ON YOUR DAMN KNEES AND BEG FOR FORGIVENESS YOU ASSHOLE!" Sukuna roared.

"Oh, he's beyond forgiving. In fact, Ryomen he snapped at me today when I asked him if he knew where his children were… did you know how he answered me?" she asked in a rather chilling tone. Of course he shook his head, not even Six eyes would be that dumb to say something inappropriate to her… right?

"He said at least I HAVE children." She said and glared at him. "You of all know how hard it is for a Tooru to have a child… even more so with Ryomen due to my state of being… but don't you DARE throw your children at me like they are chips in a verbal duel. You have no right to speak of your children as such either, Satoru Gojo."

He didn't understand the gravity of the situation. "She's just messing with me," he decreed.

Chusi took her leave, six eyes followed shortly after that. Sukuna on the other hand felt as if his days just became numbered.

"Sensei… I saw what she did," Calypso whispered.

He paused. "You did?" he asked.

She nodded her head. "I don't think she is doing this to punish you or anything, you did not upset her. This is aimed towards Satoru Gojo." She said gently. "Do… do we continue our lesson?"

He sighed but nodded. "Just in case I am incapacitated at some point, Come over here, some of the rarer herbs grow by Mother Tooru's shrine." Sukuna spent the rest of the day with Calypso who took notes and in great detail.

When they were finished, neither one spoke as they traveled back into the domain. "The Tooru family… meant a lot to you, didn't they?" she asked.

"They did," Sukuna replied bluntly. "And yet, I'm the one who destroyed the clan…"

"Not everyone," Calypso said gently. "Grandmother always said, one is beyond redeeming if they truly follow through and take everything from the one they targeted, however, if they do not take everything, and then try to rebuild and replace what they took, there is still hope for them."

"I don't need a pep talk," he said bluntly. "Why speak of such a thing to me?"

She smiled once more. "Sometimes, grandmother's words just slip out of me. Most of the time, I speak them when it doesn't matter. But when it does, the words are already given to those who need to hear them." She began to walk on ahead of him. "Thank you sensei for the lessons, I look forward to more in the future." Her head lowered as she went back home before him.

Sukuna on the other hand was dreading what Chusi did. But the fact remains; Six Eyes didn't see anything happen. So did anything occur? She threatened him that he would notice by tomorrow morning…

"Why do I even bother trying to figure her out…"
