The Krakken
A bright moon is lighting up the foggy forest below. A large lake, surrounded by trees and mist, stays undisturbed.
Cannonball!" Jen yelled.
Jen jumped into the lake, making a large splash. Jen pops up to the surface. She was in a green one-piece bikini. She was imitating a sports commentator.
"Judges score...yes! Perfect ten. Yeah!" Jen said, imitating crowd wooing. "The crowd loves her!"
Both Gwen and Nicoles were standing at the pier with a torch. Gwen was unimpress while Nicole was just giggling at Jen.
"Come on, dive in!" Jen said.
"...Please! Who knows what nasty, slimy things are slithering around in there." Gwen said.
Gwen shines a torch around the lake's surface to illustrate her point, landing the torch on Jen. Nicole was looking at Gwen and at Jen.
"I rest my case." Gwen said.
Jen stick out her tongue and looked at Nicole.
"Nicky...I know you want to get in with me." Jen said.
"Sorry, Jenny. I have to agree with Gwen. Less chances of getting sick for the summer." Nicole told her.
Jen huffed.
"What's the point in camping by a lake if you're afraid to get wet?" Jen asked.
Jen splashes the water from the lake onto Gwen and Nicole. The both of them just gasp as they were wet.
"Knock it off, midget!" Gwen said.
Gwen walks away back to the Rust Bucket but as she does, Jen begins to violently splash around in the water. Nicole just looked at her wet shirt and decided to take it off. Jen was looking at Nicole as she blushed at how the moon shrine bright off Nicole. Nicole rings out her shirt from the water.
"Whoa, so pretty." Jen said.
She shook her head as she went back to water and splashing.
"Hey! What's - Happen -?" Jen said.
She was getting sucked under the surface. Nicole put her shirt back on as she ran to the edge of the pier. She had a worry look on her face.
"Very funny Jen… I'm not failing for it." Gwen said.
"I don't think that she is playing, Gwen." Nicole said.
Gwen walks back over to shine a light on where Jen went under.
"Jen?" Gwen said.
The water bubbles and a giant green swamp=creature lurches out of it towards both Gwen and Nicole, growling at them. Both Gwen and Nicole scream in fright, falling over and dropping the torch, which rolls on the ground to shine on the creature, revealing it to be Jen's Four Arms transformation covered in seawood.
"Jen?" Gwen asked, annoyed.
"You two should have seen the took on your faces. Ah, Priceless." Four Arms chuckled.
Both of them got up to go back to the RV. Nicole didn't say anything while Gwen just glared at her cousin.
"You are so busted when I tell grandpa." Gwen said.
Four Arms was laughing to herself as she takes the seaweed off.
"I can't believe they fell for it. A monster in the lake! How dumb can you be?" Four Arms asked, but realize. "Maybe I went too far when I scared Nicky."
She sighed and hung her head in shame. The water bubbles and splashes behind Jen, causing her to turn and see a gigantic silhouette of a monster rising out of the water behind her, shocking her greatly.
Four Arms looks up towards the monstrous silhouette lurching above her. A tendril from the figure shoots out at her, grabbing and launching her across the lake. Jen pops back out of the water and looks around her for the monster. As she does, something latches onto her and drags her under. While underwater Jen gets a look at the monster's giant eye. Jen gasps and manages to break free of the tendrils to get back to the surface and the Rust Bucket. She busted into the Rust Bucket walking Max, Gwen, and Nicole out of breath.
"I was just attacked by a giant lake monster." Four arms said.
Gwen Lazily throws a pillow at Four Arms face.
"Hello? Current events? You already got us with that one." Gwen said.
"But I'm not kidding this time." Four Arms said.
Max yawned.
"Come on champ, the joke's over." Max said.
"...But I-"
"Get some sleep. Remember we have an early day tomorrow for our fishing trip." Max said.
Jen times out, transforming back into her human form, lying starfish-positioned on the ground. She was looking at Nicole in her sleeping bag. She looked over at Nicole fluffing her pillow.
"You believe me right, Nicky?" Jen said.
"I don't know anymore. I might not ever again." Nicole said.
She lay back down to get some sleep. Jen just sigh as she got some sleep like the rest of them were.
=== Next day ===
Jen, Gwen, Nicole and Max walk along the coast, Max with a fishing rod in hand.
"No, really. It was humongous with these red glowing eyes-!" Jen explained.
"I'm sure it was just some kind of big fish, that's all." Max reassured her.
"Yeah, so give the mega-fish story a rest, will you "Captain Dweeb'?" Gwen said.
Nicole just looked at Jen before walking off without saying a word. Jen wonders ahead, coming across a bucket of wriggling worms. Jen shoves a handful of worms up to Gwen's face.
"Ah!" Gwen screams.
"Breakfast?" Jen offered.
"Eugh-Jen, gross… What's with the bucket of slimies?" Gwen asked.
"I believe that is our bait." Nicole said.
"Good guess, Nicole." Max said.
Gwen looked at it with disgust.
"Yeah...Well, I think I'm gonna pass on the fishing thing, I'll stay here and catch some sun instead!" Gwen said.
"Okay, but you don't know what you're missing!" Max said.
"I'm pretty sure I do…" Gwen said.
"Come on, Mr. Tennyson. We're gonna lose some great fish." Nicole called out.
"Coming!" Max called out.
He turned to greet the man in the boat behind them.
"Captain Shaw?" Max asked.
'Who wants to know?" Shaw asked.
"I'm Max Tennyson, and this is my granddaughter, Jen. And our friend Nicole." Max said.
Both Jen and Nicole wave at the captain.
"We chartered your boat today for a fishing trip." Max said.
"Well, what're you waiting for, an engraved invitation? Get aboard, I ain't got all day." Shaw ordered.
Jen and Nicole excitedly move to get on the boat, though Max seems concerned. The ship sets off, down the lake. The ship sails slowly.
"Anything..interesting out there to catch today?" Max asked.
"More than you can imagine…" Shaw said, seeing Jen, with her head over the end of the boat. "Looks like your girl's using her breakfast as chum."
Jen? You feeling okay?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I'm just keeping an eye out for the lake monster. That thing's not taking me by surprise this time!" Jen said.
Nicole just sighed as she shook her head with disbelief. Seeing a monstrous silhouette in the water and gasping.
"There it is." Jen said.
The silhouette becomes clear as it passes, revealing just a collection of brambles and rubbish.
"Oh, my bad." Jen said.
"She's losing it." Nicole mentioned.
"Now, Nicole. Be nice. And now, Jen. This is a fishing trip, not a monster hunt." Max said.
"It's called 'the Krakken'." Shaw said.
"Whoa. you know about it?" Jen asked.
"It's my business to know about it." Shaw said.
He hands Jen a photo reminiscent of the 'Loch Ness Monster' photo.
"I've been on its tail for years. Folks say my rudder's not right." Shaw said.
"Why doesn't that surprise me?" Max asked.
Nicole was looking at Max and back at the water.
"Sightings go back hundreds of years, on this very lake. Some say it's a myth… not me! I could take you to a spot where I personally laid eyes upon the beast. That is, if you've got the stomach for some real adventure!" Shaw explained.
Jen looks up to a reluctant Max expectantly and smiling.
"I guess so…" Max said.
"Alright!" Jen said.
"Sonar, high-def video setup, ultrasound. I got it all. And I will find it. Mark my words, it can't hide forever." Shaw said.
Both Max and Nicole grabbed Jen to pulled her to aside away from Shaw.
"Jen, I don't want you to put too much stock in what mister Shaw says. I don't think he has both oars in the water, if you know what I mean." Max said.
"I agree. The guy is little screw loose." Nicole said.
"Why? Just because he saw the Krakken too?" Jen said.
Jen walks away in a huff, with both Max and Nicole saddened. The ship floats by, Shaw at the helm paying attention to the sonar, as he comes up against a blockage of buoys and tape. He read the tape.
"Do not enter"? What's going on?" Shaw said.
"Looks official. Maybe we should turn back." Max suggested.
Nicole looked off to the distant to see another fishing boat heading towards them. It pulled up alongside their boat.
"Fishing boat! Stop where you are. I am Jonah Melville, the founder of 'Friends of fish', we're closed this section of the lake for an environmental study. You'll have to turn your boat around." Jonah said.
"Suppose you make me, fish-hugger?" Shaw asked.
"Well, since I chartered the boat for the day. I believe I'm in charge. Isn't that right, Captain?" Max said.
Captain Shaw grumbles and reluctantly makes his way up the boat.
"But-what about the Krakken?" Jen asked.
Jonah chuckled to himself.
"The Krakken? Not that old fish story? Look, I'm a marine biologist. Anyone who tells you they've seen a monster in this lake, is casting without a hook." Jonah said.
Shaw's boat travels back to the docks, trailing behind the "Friends of Fish" boat. The ship's sonar pings, alerting shaw.
"The sonar! We've found something!" Shaw said.
Jen saw a shark-like fin pop to the surface of the water.
"Or something's found us! Look!" Jen siad.
"The Krakken?" Shaw asked.
The fin passes under Shaw's boat, revealing it's true size, and rocking the boat. Shaw panicked.
"It's heading for the docks!"
"That is the direction where we left…" Nicole said.
Nicole's, Jen's and Max's eyes widen.
"GWEN!" Jen, Nicole, and Max said.
The Krakken's fin rushed towards the docks at a high speed, unbeknownst to Gwen, sitting at the end of the pier rocking her feet.
"Ah finally a little sun, and with my big-mouth cousin nowhere in sight. I can just lay back and relax…" Gwen said.
The Krakken rushes towards land and Captain Shaw tries to warn the dock goers by ringing the ship's bell.
"How many times does that doofus think I'm gonna fall for this?" Gwen asked.
The Krakken rears out of the water, slumping back down and crushing the pier to pieces, sending the people standing on it into the water. Gwen pops back up to the surface and gasps.
"That's not Jen." Gwen said.
Shaw looked at the beast for a moment.
"I told ya!- It's real! The Krakken lives!" Shaw gloated.
"Sai now, gloat later." Max ordered, looking at both Jen and Nicole. "Someone's got to rescue those people."
Both Jen and Nicole ran and leaped off the side of the boat into the water. Priming the watches to transform.
"Ripjaws to the rescue." Jen said.
Jen dips below the surface and transforms with a green flash. But instead of Ripjaws, she got XLR8 as she came back up.
"I said Ripjaws, not XLR8 stupid watch!" XLR8 said.
"Maybe you don't need to shout out your transformation." Nicole said.
She didn't pay attention and dialed Crystal. She slammed her watch as she was transformed into Crystal. She was looking at her appearance.
"Well, I guess Crystal could do something." Crystal said.
She placed her hand on the water and it crystallized into a platform. She hopped on it as she placed her hand back on the crystal.
"Mind if I get a lift?" XLR8 asked.
"Hop on and hold on tight." Crystal said.
XLR8 got on the platform and wrapped her tail around Crystal's waist which caused her to tell XLR8's tail brush against her crotch as she shivered. She added her Diamonds to the platform to extend it out like a trail of Diamonds. (Image Iceman from X-men.) The Krakken dives, heading towards Gwen and the other civilians trapped in the water.
"Jenny, you need to get Gwen and those people out of the water. I'll deal with that Krakken." Crystal said.
"Well, here goes nothing…" XLR8 said.
Once they got low towards the water, XLR8 jumped down into the water and ran on the water's surface, almost slipping but reaching the people in trouble, snatching Gwen out of the way of the Krakken and to land.
"You okay?" XLR8 asked.
Gwen was coughing up water.
"I think so, thanks for the save." Gwen said.
Crystal was shooting a barrage of diamonds at the beast. Jen rushes and take the other people in need back to land with Gwen. Jonah was looking at Crystal in the air and XLR8 on land and he was looking at crewmates.
"Get us out of here!" Jonah ordered.
Jonah's crewmate, 'Duane' sails the boat away, with the Krakken taking notice and going after it, rearing up against it and rocking the boat greatly.
"Whoa!" Jonah said.
The Krakken rushes towards it again, but it is stopped by XLR8 and Crystal. XLR8 was creating a water tornado on the surface, scaring it back. Crystal shoots another round of diamonds at the beast. Jen jumps onto the boat. The Krakken swims to the front of the boat and tries to grab a crate off of it using its front tendrils.
"No you don't." Jonah said.
Jonah leaps. Hanging onto the crate to stop it from being taken. Jen decides to help by grabbing the Krakken's tendril and dragging it backwards to prevent the crate from being moved. Crystal shot at the beast in the tendrils but the creature uses its other tendrils to knock Crystal into the water.
Jen roots herself on the ship's ground, and uses her fast moving feet to kick the Krakken's jaw as it comes towards the ship. After being kicked in the underjaw, the Krakken reels backwards roaring and retreats. Crystal swam back up to the surface. She was looking around for the Krakken to see that it was gone. She swam back to the boat before her watch times out.
"Thanks for the hand, and the feet." Jonah said.
XLR8 hissing, and pealing back her mask.
"What's so important in that crate-that you'd risk your life for it?" XLR8 asked.
"Um...Our lunch." Jonah lied.
"You almost got munched for a few sandwiches?" XLR8 asked.
The Krakken jumps out the water and grabs the crate while they're talking, bringing it back into the water before it can be stopped. As it does, Jen's timer starts ticking red.
"Uh oh. Sorry, gotta run." XLR8 said.
Jen leaps off running towards Shaw's ship. She saw Crystal was heading towards the boat as well, but she zipped over to her and picked her up.
"What are you doing?" Crystal asked.
"Just returning a favor." XLR8 answered. "Almost there...I think we're gonna...aah"
Both Jen and Nicole times out, transforming back into humans, still moving with XLR8's momentum and getting skidded across the water's surface like a stone, landing right behind the ship, and getting spotted by Max. They both were looking at each other.
"-Make it." Jen said.
"Well, that was one way to get me into the water with you." Nicole said.
"Men overboard! Shaw, Jen and Nicole are overboard! Bring the boat around!" Max said.
"Next time you're in my sights, you won't be so lucky…" Shaw said.
The campers and dock-gears are all packing up and leaving as it gets dark. Jen, Gwen, Nicole and Max sit by a campfire, Jen and Nicole drying off.
"See, I told you so. That was the same thing that tried to munch me last night. Captain Shaw and I were right." Jen gloated.
"Just because he was right about the Krakken doesn't mean I was wrong about him. I want you to stay away from the guy. He's trouble." Max said.
"You're just being stubborn." Jen said.
"Yeah, don't you hate people like that?" Gwen mentioned.
"We'll leave this to the experts Jen, Like those 'Friends of Fish' Guys." Max said.
Experts? Who better to snag a lake-monster than the guy with the monster-buster on their wrists." Jen said.
"And beside, Mr. Tennyson, I don't trust those guys because something is very off about that Mr. Jonah. He was just about to be eaten by the Krakken because he was trying to save those crates. There is something he isn't telling us or the people." Nicole said.
"Yeah, he called those crates their lunch." Jen said.
"I'm afraid this just gonn have to be the one that got away, sweetie." Max said.
Then they heards something or someone heading towards them. It was none other than captain Shaw.
"...low-down no good fish kisser." Shaw complained.
"Captain Shaw, what is it?" Jen asked.
"The nerve of those 'enviro-punks'! They shut down the entire lake! Nobody tells me where to sail, and nobody's gonna keep me away from reeling in the catch of the century. Nobody." Shaw said.
"A ship sails across the lake, while the Rust Bucket sits nearby the pier. Gwen knocked at the bathroom door while Nicole was holding herself as she was jumping up and down.
"Come on Jen! What did you-fall in?" Gwen asked.
Max opens the door to reveal Jen not there." Captain Shaw sails the boat, but hears cluttering behind him coming from under a tarp.
"Hey! No stowaways on my boat, even if you are only a filthy rat!" Shaw said.
He uncovers the tarp to reveal Jen sitting there.
"Um? First mate Tennyson reporting for duty...sir?" Jen said.
"She's probably been chased deep by our 'fishy friends'. Only one way to flush her out… with a little live bait." Shaw said.
"Maybe I should go with you? Y'know, just in case?" Jen offered.
"No need. I've got my diving body right here." Shaw said, picking up a harpoon gun. "Wish me luck."
Jen loos towards a red dive-suit left on the boat. Captain Shaw dives through the ocean. He gets startled, but reaches the Krakken's nest without incident. Startling him again, Jen jumps out towards him, almost getting shot with a harpoon. Though Shaw misses and breathes a sigh of release, the two stay unharmed. Haw dives back up to the surface, seeing another boat alongside his. As he climbs up he's grabbed by a masked figure.
"Don't you know night diving is dangerous, old timer? Unless of course, you went with a friend."
"I work alone. I ain't got no friends." Shaw said.
"...And with a sparkling personality like yours?"
Jen pops up to the surface and spectates the confrontation.
"I haven't anything worth stealing either." Shaw said.
"Ah, but you us all wrong. All we want is information. Like, what did you see down there?"
"Nothin'. Same as always." Shaw said.
The masked figure punches shaw to the ground, knocking him out. He takes off the mask to reveal he's Jonah Melville.
"Well...I have to be sure." Jonah said.
Jen sees this, and looks to the watch to see if it's possible to transform, he's met with the device not working and though, it was still timed out.
"Come on, work!" Jen said.
"Take 'Ahab' here with us. Find out if he knows anything back at the Cannery. We'll come back later with a mini-sub to snatch the rest of the eggs.
Jonah throws a tracker into the lake.
"In the meantime, I think his boat just got lost at sea." Jonah said, placing explosive.
Throwing the explosive over into Shaw's ship and sailing off, it exploded behind them. The debris falls onto Jen, she dodges it and comes back up to the surface at a distance. Jen primes her watch, looking at the silhouette of Stinkfly.
"It's here time." Jen called out.
She slammed the watch down as she transformed into Stinkfly. She was flying towards Jonah's boat. One of Jonah's crewmen was getting his and the rest of the crew's attention.
"Is that a bird?"
"Nah. Looks like a plane."
Jonah squinted his eyes as he spotted Stinkfly.
"It's a bug! Man the harpoons!" Jonah ordered.
"Give it up! You are totally busted.
Jonah's crew fire lasters at Jen, with him able to dodge, then fire his slime, immobilizing them. Jonah unloads explosive barrels from the inside of the ship, some almost hit Jen, blasting a tree and knocking Jen out of the sky and landing into the water below.
"Aw man. My wing's are too wet for take-off." Stinkfly said.
Jen, unable to take off, is targeted by Jonah driving the ship towards her.
"Let's squish that bug, once and for all." Jonah said.
Jen, now spotlighted, slowly swims away as Jonah's ship barrels towards her. He reaches a hunk of driftwood and turns his eye-stalks to hee the oncoming threat.
"Aw, come on, come on! Dry off!" Stinkfly said.
Jen flaps her wings to dry them faster. Being closer, one of Jonah's crew stands with a turret, firing towards her. Curious, Jen looks around him for means of escape, he sees a hanging branch and spits a streak of goo, hitting it. As the ship is about the hit him, he slurps the goo, projecting himself up to safety, as the driftwood is blasted into bits after being hit by the boat.
Jonah was circling the boat and looking around with a spotlight, unable to find Jen hiding behind the branch, but seeing a fin in the water.
"It's getting too crowded around here. Dump the trash overboard." Jonah said.
Captain Shaw is thrown overboard as Jonah and his crew boat away. Stinkfly, hovering above the water's surface, grabs Shaw before he sinks. He flies towards land, seeing the Rust Bucket on the shore.
"Almost there!" Stinkfly.
The Omnitrix emblem on Stinkfly's face begins to flash red and sound an alert.
"Aw, not again…" Stinkfly said.
Meanwhile on shore, Gwen Peers through the binoculars, searching for Jen. Max came back with Nicole who was in Wild Vixen form as they both were trying to get Jen's scent.
"Any sign of Jennifer and Shaw?" Max said.
"Not yet…" Gwen told her.
Then Wild Vixen sniffed the air as she got a scent of a awful smell and she started growling and shaking from the smell.
"What is it, Nicole?" Max said.
"She must've got something." Gwen said.
The sound of Jen's Alien form timing out catches their attention, looking upwards at Jen, who soon after transforms back into a human and beings screaming as he and an unconscious Shaw Fall. The two land safely in the Rust Bucket's sun shade. Then Wild Vixen times out as she is transformed back to her human form.
"Aw, I hate it when that happens." Jen complained.
From inside the rust bucket, Jennifer talks as Gwen taps keys on her laptop. Nicole was placing a cold rag on Shaw's forehead.
"...and the Krakken's nest was full of eggs. No wonder she's been attacking everything. Jonah must be stealing her eggs." Jen said.
"See! I told you there was something off about that guy." Nicole mentioned.
"And I think I know who Jonah is. I did a little checking on "Friends to Fish" and found out it's not listed on any environmental website. But I did find this." Gwen said.
She turns her laptop to show her findings. Jennifer, Max, and Nicole were looking at the laptop for a moment.
"Jonah Melville isn't a friend to any kind of wildlife, he travels around the world poaching rare animals. Then crates them up, and sells them to private collectors." Gwen explained.
"Crates them up'?" Jennifer said, palming her face. "Oh man! I bet that crate, the Krakken took off their boat, had her egg in it."
"Looks like we were both, a little too hard headed." Max said.
"We've got to stop them. They said something about going back to a cannery." Jennifer said.
"All this talk doesn't change a thing. Mommy or not, that beast is mine. Let's go. I've a spare boat down at the docks." Shaw said.
Nicole and the three Tennyson exchange glances, then run to follow the exiting Shaw. Gwen clicked a button on her phone.
"It'll take a while until the police can get here." Gwen said.
Shaw unties the boat, about to get on, boat before he does so, the boat speeds off without him.
"What're you doing? Get back here!" Shaw called out.
"Sorry, captain." Jennifer said.
"We'll bring it back for you." Nicole yelled out.
"You two don't know what you're doing! A monster's a monster, and I know a monster when I see one!" Shaw called out.
The boat speeds off, leaving Shaw clenching his fist in anger. He shines a lamp around, seeing a much less glamorous rowboat off to the side of the pier. He takes a long, unbroken glare at it. A crane pulls up a mech suit holding an egg out of the water, setting the mech down on the dock. One of Jonah's crew was carrying the container. He was about to grab the egg from the mech but he almost dropped it.
"Careful, or you'll be cleaning up the world's most expensive omelet." Jonah said.
He watched as the egg was looking at the container for a moment.
"After we sell these babies to the highest bidder, we'll be kicking on a beach in the Bahamas." Jonah said.
The boat arrives at the docks underneath them. Both Max and Gwen were about to start climbing.
"See if you can find the eggs." Jen said.
"What about you two?" Gwen asked.
"We're gonna kick some Friends of Fish tail." Jen said.
"I'm with Jenny on this one." Nicole said.
They both looked at their watches for a moment as the silhouette started to land on aquatic creatures before they slammed down the cores. The void was split in two as the very similar transformations commenced. The watches sank into their wrists and their arms were covered in bluish-green/greyish-blue scales that traveled up their arms and their fingers turned to claws. They then grew anglers from their foreheads. They then grew gills from their neck as their teeth grew and sharpened themselves as the the scales finished covering their bodies and their hair turned into a green dorsal fin and a black dorsal fin running down their back. Their clothes changed into a two piece bikini to show off their feminine figure as they let out a roar.
Once their transformations were done, they both dived into the water. Jonah and his crew started to move the eggs as the Krakken appeared out of the water as she roared at them.
"The bigger the Krakken, the bigger the payday." Jonah said.
The mech started shooting at the Krakken as she was taking the hit. They continued their attack on the creature while they were moving her eggs. She tries to stop them by swinging her tendrils around to hit them without harming her eggs. The mechs just dodge her attack and continue to shoot at her. Jonah just grinned because of his greed.
He was launched into the air to get some distance where he could to an aerial assault. He was looking through his visor as he watched the Krakken going down. Then suddenly Ripjaws landed on Jonah's visor.
"You want to mess with a monster? Try us on for size." Ripjaws said.
"Us?" Jonah asked.
"Well, she is taking care of the other eggs for the Krakken and she should be up here right about….." Ripjaw said.
Then another creature came out of the water as she was like a mermaid. She landed the mech as she took a bite out to rip the eggs out of Jonah's grasp. Jonah was about to shoot Amphitrite, but Ripjaws used her jaws and ripped the gun right off of Jonah's mech. The egg was dropped but Amphitrite caught it. Ripjaw jumped down, but she was hit by Jonah. She crashed into Amphitrite and the egg container cracked open. The eggs rolled out and on the edge of the dock.
=== Max and Gwen ===
Max and Gwen were sneaking into the control of the docks. He peeked through the doorway and saw that it had two guards in there. He was looking at his granddaughter for a moment and doing some military sign language to tell her what to do. Gwen nodded her head as she got the message. He was about to make his move, but he was spotted by the guards as he pointed his gun at him.
"Okay son, you want to do this the easy way or the hard way." Max said, pounding his fist into his open hand.
The henchman smiled and backed them up. Suddenly, the Krakken's tail burst through the cannery and Max and Gwen were surprised by it as were the henchmen.
"Go high." Max said.
He and Gwen grabbed onto two of the latches for shipping the cans and swung forward as the floor was knocked out from underneath them, sending the first henchmen back into the lake. As they reached the other side, the other henchmen came out with the weapon. But before he could do anything, Max kicked the weapon out of his hands and Gwen kicked himunconscious.
"Is this the easy way or the hard way?" Gwen
Max shrugged as he chuckled.
=== Jen and Nicole ===
The Krakken took her eggs and Jonah went after them. Ripjaws and Amphitrite ran after Jonah.
"My eggs!" Jonah shouted.
He tried to go for them again, but the Amphitrite and Ripjaws grabbed onto his suit's legs.
"They aren't your eggs!" Ripjaws shouted.
"Nor they'll ever be!" Amphitrite shouted.
They both tackled him away and they each grabbed an egg and dove into the lake. Jonah scowled and released the crane's grip on his suit as He followed them as the pair followed the Krakken. Jonah then caught the both of them, and started brawling with them as they grunted from the quick punch from the mech.
"Rescuing babies. Very Heroic, but not very smart." Jonah said.
He then grabbed the eggs and controlled his suit to go back up with them. Ripjaws and Amphitrite scratched at their heads as they growled and swam back up. Amphitrite was thinking for a moment to get those eggs back.
"Rush from both sides?" Amphitrite suggested.
"Took the words right out of my mouth." Ripjaw said.
They both merged their legs together to form a tail as they both swam up as fast as they could. They both reached him and grabbed onto his suits from different sides and started to brawl their way back up as they eventually got the eggs out of his grip. Amphitrite caught them in her jaws as she was trying to find a safe place for the eggs. Then the Krakken came swimming up and used her tendrils to slame both of them, causing Amphitrite to lose her grip on the eggs as they went flying out of her jaw.
The Krakken then caught them in her tendrils as the both Ripjaws and Amphitrite recovered on the lake floor and gazed at Jonah who was going after her eggs, despites the flooding in his mech suit. The two of them nodded at each other and went swimming after him. Jonah then let loose a sonic pulse from his suit's claws, causing the Krakken to screech in pain as she dropped the eggs.
Jonah then gripped them again and tried to swim away before Ripjaws and Amphitrite tackled him into what remained of Shaw's boat. Amphitrite saw the anchor loose before she kicked herself up onto Jonah's suit's claw but he let out an electric shock which stunned her as she fell down and he tried to swim away.
Ripjaws then saw the anchor next to her dazed friend before she grabbed it, swung it around like a mace and threw it, managing to grip the suit, preventing it from getting any further as the Krakken swam in and chomped down on the chain of the anchor as the two of them were flung away as the three of them got into a tussle with the eggs as Amphitrite then suddenly swam in and grabbed the eggs in her arms and then went swimming for the Krakken's nest as the three of them went swimming after her.
As the Krakken reached her, she watch Amphitrite then placed the eggs down in the nest as the Krakken cradled them lovingly as Jonah came swimming up to them with a furious shout. But the Krakken then gripped the suit in her tendrils and ripped it to shreds, forcing Jonah out of the suit. Jonah then, in a last ditch effort, pulled a knife from his pant leg, only to have it break against the Krakken's tough skin.
The Krakken then screeched as it attempted to eat him, only for both Ripjaws and Amphitrite to block her way with their arms spread out, telling her to spare him. The Krakken reluctantly agreed as she went back to her eggs as Jonah shrugged at the both of them as they both gave him a left and right hook which knocked him out cold. The both of them swam back up to the surface and hung Jonah on a loose wooden plank as they glared at his unconscious body.
"Hang here for a while until the police find a nice dry cell for you." Ripjaws said.
They both saw the red and blue lights of the police boat as they sawm away from sigh under the water. Max and Gwen then saw the police pick up Jonah from the dock as Max scoffed.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish." Max said.
"Got them." Shaw said.
He came up in his rowboat with both Ripjaws and Amphitrite in his fishing net. Max and Gwen gasped to see that Shaw caught them.
"I finally got me not one but two Krakkens. The eggs must have hatched. Imagine these two mounted on my wall." Shaw said.
Then suddenly both watches timed out in a red flashes light. Max then chuckled at the sigh.
"I think your catch of the day isn't exactly as advertised." Max said.
Shaw turned his head to see the seaweeds move to reveal to be none other than Jennifer and Nicole who just smiled at him. Shaw just blush from embarrassment before taking off his hat.
"But I could've sworn." Shaw said.
Back under the lake, the Krakken cradled her eggs lovingly, thanking her heroes for saving them.
