"This is Xavier. Aka the Red Poncho. These are the puzzle cubes. Aka our map to the Heart of the Forest. Aka the magical entity that will grant any kid their wish for their deepest desires." Craig says as the group is in the stump watching him point things out on a board.
"Craig wait. Are you talking to us? We're like the only kids in the creek who already know this information." Kelsey says as Alexis nods in agreement.
"Well other than Xavier. Who we don't need to talk about right now. Sorry..." JP says as Omar growls in annoyance.
"Look guys I put hours into this presentation. So you're gonna sit there and listen." Craig says.
"We are listening Craig. We just don't see the point because we already know this stuff." Alexis says as she looks at Craig.
"Listen if Xavier finds the Heart of the Forest he could ask it to make him King of the Creek all over again. And then wreck havoc everywhere." Craig says as he covers the entire board in red marker showing where Xavier is gonna take over at.
"Man I can't believe I accused Maya of being the Red Poncho! Xavier is the one trying to get the puzzle cubes before us. And just when things are going so well with Maya. He just swoops in and ruins it! Again!" Omar says angrily.
"You're not the only one to blame Omar. We all had our doubts with Maya on this one." Alexis says.
"We'll find a way to make things right with her. But for now we have to make sure Xavier doesn't make it to the Heart of the Forest. And the only way to do that is if we find the rest of the puzzle cubes before him." Craig says.
*Timeskip*
"Alright. There are 12 more puzzle cubes out there. Let's go find them!" Craig says as the group comes out of the stump.
"And fast!" Alexis, Kelsey, JP and Omar shout as the group gets going.
*Timeskip*
"Well we've gathered a lot of good leads. According to our notes these mole kids might know something about the cubes. You guys seen anything?" Craig asks.
"Nope! Nothing!" Kelsey says as the group is looking around.
"Yeah no scent trail either." Alexis says she is walking around in wolf form.
"I don't know. They're supposed to be around here somewhere." Omar says.
"Oh boy. I hope this doesn't end with one of us falling into a hole!" JP says as he falls into a hole before the others fall into holes.
"Ow. Where are we?" Craig asks as a kid with a hat pushes Kelsey off him as he sticks his head above ground.
"What was that? Hey watch it! We don't appreciate you high lander's stomping near mole city." The kid says angrily as he looks at Craig.
"This is mole city?' Craig asks.
"Classic highlander. You only know the cities on the surface huh? Your crew just busted up Main Street!" A mole kid shouts angrily.
"Wait. This is the prophecy. This is the legend fortold. Your bird! You must be the sky kids. Come to unearth our secret treasure!" A kid says as he pokes his hand out of the ground in a sock puppet.
"Holy moly they are the ones fortold! Forgive my foolish your excellency. Come. We have prepared a sacred gift hidden under the x." The mole kid says as the group sees a x in the ground made of rocks with a shovel nearby.
"Whoa! Guys I bet that's where the puzzle cube is." Craig says.
"But first let us regail you with the legend of our people." The mole kid says.
"Say what now?" Craig asks in surprise and annoyance.
"It was years ago the King Kenneth came down from his throne above." The mole kid says as he goes on about the tale of the mole kids.
"Craig we gotta go." Kelsey says as she looks at Craig.
"Yeah I agree. This kid is gonna be going on for a while from the looks of it. No offense to him." Alexis says.
"I'll just go get it." Craig says as he goes over and begins digging before the mole kid notices.
"Wait. There's more to the story! Heads up!" The mole kid shouts as Craig digs up a box that flies into Kelsey's face.
"Nice catch Kels. Yes. One down and 11 to go." Craig says as the box has a cube in it.
"Wait. Don't you wanna hear our song and dance?" The mole kid asks sadly.
"Yeah no sorry. We're in a bit of a time crunch here. So bye!" Craig says as the group quickly leaves and climbs back to the ground above.
"So where to next Craig?" Alexis asks as she brushes the dirt off her pants.
"Hospital kids or cat kids?" Craig asks.
"Hospital kids first please." Kelsey says as she falls back onto the ground with the box still on her face.
*Timeskip*
"Nice thinking JP. How'd you know that would work?" Alexis asks as she, Kelsey, JP and Omar are sitting with two cat kids after getting their attention with a fake computer.
"My cat Goo loves doing this to my mom and sister." JP says.
"Yes! No! Guys the cube!" Craig shouts as he unrolls the next cube out of a yarn ball only for a toy truck to steal it before the group chases after it as it hits a tree sending the cube flying into a person's hand as they're waiting in the tree.
"Oh no!" Alexis says worriedly as the group sees the Red Poncho.
"The Red Poncho." Craig says.
"Hey! Red Poncho! That cube is ours! Hand it over." Kelsey says as she pulls out her sword.
"We're the ones who found it so drop it!" Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form growling.
"Yeah! And you can take off that stupid mask. We already know who you are." Craig says.
"Nobody knows who I am. I am the shadows when all hope is lost. I am a PB&J with the crusts left on." The Red Poncho says as Alexis rolls her eyes.
"Xavier cut the act. We know it's you." Alexis says.
"No way! Your face is Xavier!" The Red Poncho shouts.
"What does that even mean?" Craig asks.
"See here! If I was the handsome King Xavier I wouldn't even know what his birthday is." The Red Poncho says.
"We don't know that either." JP says before the Red Poncho growls and takes off his mask revealing to be Xavier.
"It's June 3rd! I was your King! It should be a creek wide holiday by now!" Xavier shouts.
"Uh no you weren't. Least not on our side. Even then you were no King. Not a true one anyway." Alexis says as she glares at Xavier.
"Whatever Wolfy. Though you're kinda cute when you're mad. Too bad we're on opposing sides." Xavier says as he smiles causing Alexis to blush before growling annoyedly.
"Don't call me that! Also not gonna happen whatever you got in that messed up head of yours." Alexis says as she snarls.
"Oh well. Guess my secret is out. I'm awesome now people! I'm strong, I'm tuff, I do backflips in my sleep! And on top of all that I've already collected four of your precious cubes. Oh wait! Make that five! And it's gonna be me! Xavier! Who's gonna beat you to the Heart of the Forest!" Xavier shouts as he gets away.
"Great. He got away." Alexis says.
"We gotta do something!" Omar shouts angrily.
"Look. Xavier beat us to a few cubes. We're just gonna have to deal with that later. But for now we've gotta get to the rest before he does." Craig says as Omar sighs.
"Okay." Omar says.
"Come on. Let's go to the next location." Craig says as the group gets moving.
*Timeskip*
"Welcome one and all to the greatest magic show in the creek! Can I have a volunteer from the audience?" A magician kid asks as the group is watching his performance.
"Ooh! Me!" JP says as the magician kid calls him up onto the stage.
"So I guess Kenneth really liked magic?" Craig asks as he looks at Alexis and Omar.
"According to rumor yeah. He came here a lot because of that." Alexis says before the group sees the magician kid letting JP guess where he ha the cube hidden on his body before Xavier shows up and knocks JP off the stage.
"How about I give this a try!" Xavier shouts.
"JP!" Craig shouts.
"Think you're slick huh? Behind the ear? Seriously? Sorry! Looks like I beat you guys to the punch again!" Xavier shouts as he grabs the cube from the magician kid only for Omar to knock him off his drones with an arrow.
"Nice shot Omar." Alexis says as she goes over to Omar.
"Thanks sis." Omar says happily before the two see Xavier's goggles break.
"My goggles!" Xavier shouts angrily.
"Consider that payback for sinking Craig's phone!" Omar shouts.
"Well consider this payback for your payback!" Xavier shouts as he, Alexis and Kelsey begin fighting with their weapons.
"You know Maya and I were finally becoming friends and then you had to come along and ruin it again!" Omar shouts angrily.
"Hey whatever y'all's problem is when I'm not around I can't claim that. But I can claim this!" Xavier shouts as he grabs the cube before jumping onto his drones.
"Oh no you don't!" Alexis shouts as she shifts to wolf form and tries to jump up and grab the drones but misses.
"Nice try Wolfy. I like a girl with a feisty spirit." Xavier says as Alexis growls annoyedly.
"Again no chance." Alexis says as Xavier laughs before leaving.
*Timeskip*
"So how many cubes have we gotten now?" Omar asks as the group is back in the stump.
"Yeah. Xavier has been grabbing a bunch. We don't need him beating us." Alexis says.
"After all our efforts our total number of cubes is now 15 out of 26." Craig says.
"Only 15?" Alexis asks worriedly.
"I thought we'd have way more than that by now. How many did Xavier take from us?" Omar asks angrily.
"Well there's the one he took at the frog pond, the ancient library, the magician." Kelsey says as JP names off some more cubes that got taken.
"Gah! We're hopeless! We're never gonna get all these cubes!" Omar shouts angrily.
"I hate to say it but we can't afford to let Xavier get anymore cubes from us. Even then how are we supposed to get the ones he has already taken from us?" Alexis asks annoyedly.
"Don't worry. We will get them all. We have to unless we want Xavier to become king again. But first thing we need to do is find out how many Xavier has." Craig says.
*Timeskip*
"Mom! Food's here! Pay the guy! Ah! Why are you here?" Xavier asks as he opens his door and sees the group.
"You know why exactly why we're here." Craig says.
"Yeah. You have my food order. Picking up some delivery work?" Xavier asks as he smiles.
"Man show us your cubes!" Craig shouts.
"And why would I do that?" Xavier asks.
"Because I think that we've gotten them all." Craig says nervously.
"Hmm. Show me your cubes first." Xavier says.
"Fine. We have 15. How many do you have?" Craig says as he shows Xavier his cubes.
"10." Xavier says as he shows the group his cubes.
"No way!" Craig shouts.
"Yeah way. Count them." Xavier says as Alexis counts his cubes.
"Yup. He's right. There's 10." Alexis says.
"See? Even your pretty friend is able to see I've gotten a bunch." Xavier says.
"Ugh." Alexis says as she rolls her eyes at his comment.
"So how did you get those last three cubes?" Craig asks.
"I do have a life outside of yours you know. I go on my own adventures. And plus this one was just in Kenneth's room." Xavier says as he and Craig talk back and forth.
"Guys focus. Aren't there only like 26 total? We have 15 and Xavier has 10. That means 25 have been found already. And that leaves only one cube left. Question is where?" Alexis asks.
"We've already searched everywhere. Who else would have a cube? Maya!" Craig says before he gives a nervous look.
"Maya?" Xavier asks as he gives a nervous look.
"Hey so I just remembered I got a call so I gotta go change my cat." Craig says nervously as he backs away from Xavier.
"Yeah, yeah! I gotta get back inside too! To uh vacuum." Xavier says before the group begins scrambling to beat him to Maya's house.
"I can't keep up with him in that thing no matter how hard I ninja run!" Omar shouts as the group sees Xavier drive past them in a toy car.
"I can't keep up either! That thing is fast for a toy." Alexis says as she is running in wolf form while panting.
"I know a short cut!" Craig shouts as the group jumps over fence as Alexis lands in a clothing pole wire with clothes on it and falls to the ground.
"Alexis!" Omar shouts as he stops and looks at Alexis as she is tangled up in the wire and clothes.
"I'm too tangled up! Go!" Alexis shouts as the others run on as she is struggling to get loose out of the clothing wire.
*Timeskip*
"Guys we're here! What did we miss?" Alexis asks as she, Kelsey and JP arrive at Maya's house where the others are.
"You know what!? You did accuse me and it was really messed up! But it doesn't matter. Because even if I did have your stupid cube I couldn't give it to you anyway." Maya says.
"Why?" Craig asks.
"Where is it?" Omar asks.
"I threw it in the creek." Maya says as the group looks at her in shock.
