"Oh man. I think that's it. After all this searching. The last piece of Kenneth's puzzle cube. Ugh. It's just another block. How's the search going y'all?" Craig asks as the group is searching in the creek stream for the last cube.

"It's going." Omar says.

"Nothing yet." Alexis says.

"Oh my back. Alright let me see here." Kelsey says as she and JP are searching with no luck.

"This is getting us nowhere." Alexis says frustratedly.

"Alexis is right. Craig how much more of the creek do we gotta search?" Kelsey asks.

"Well the last puzzle cube could have floated anywhere thanks to Maya chucking it into the creek. So with what we've covered so far that only leaves us with about the whole rest of the creek to search." Craig says

"Are you kidding me?" Alexis asks in annoyance.

"This is gonna take forever. Maybe we should take a break?" Omar asks.

"Yeah. Mortimor's tummy has been growling for hours. He needs a snack." Kelsey says as she gestures to Mortimor.

"Yeah and something's been nibbling my toes for a while and I should probably check that." JP says worriedly.

"No! We can't stop now. I refuse to let Xavier become King again just because I'm a little tired or hungry. The creek needs us! And if I'm wrong then let the creek strike me down where I stand! No wait come back!" Craig shouts before it suddenly starts raining causing Alexis, JP, Kelsey and Omar to scramble away from him.

"Craig! It's raining. Come on!" Alexis shouts as she, JP, Kelsey and Omar get on the bank and see Craig is still in the water.

"Okay message received creek. I'm out." Craig says as he stops searching.

*Timeskip*

"Oh man. I've been excited for this movie for two weeks." Keun Sup says as he, Aggie and Jackie are at Alexis and Omar's house.

"Thanks Jackie. You can set them on the table." Alexis says as she sighs to Jackie before he nods and helps her place a bunch of food and drinks on a table.

"Think that's enough food?" Aggie asks as she smiles and chuckles

"Hey I just wanna make sure we got no reason other than bathroom breaks to step away from this TV once we start watching the movie. It's like three hours long." Alexis says as she smiles.

"Thanks again Alexis for inviting us over to your place to watch it." Keun Sup says as he translates for Jackie.

"No problem. You guys are my friends and I enjoy hanging out with you. I wish Omar could of been here to watch it with us but he's hanging out with JP." Alexis says before the group hears knocking at the door.

"Sounds like he changed his mind. Did you lock the door on him by accident?" Keun Sup asks.

"No. The door's always unlocked when someone is home. Oh hey Craig." Alexis says as she opens the door and sees Craig.

"Hey Alexis. I see you got company. Hey Keun Sup, Jackie, Aggie." Craig says as he sees the others.

"Hey Craig." Aggie says as Jackie and Keun Sup wave.

"Alexis it's stopped raining. So we can go look for the cube now." Craig says happily.

"Uh Craig I was kinda hoping to take today with Aggie, Jackie and Keun Sup so that we can watch a movie we've all been wanting to see. It just came out on DVD so we decided to watch it since my mom got it for us." Alexis says.

"What movie is it? I'll watch it with you guys. No reason we can't watch it together too." Craig says as he walks in.

"Vampire Hauntings 3! Well uh that's no problem. Sounds like a good movie." Craig says nervously as he sees the movie menu on the TV.

"Uh Craig you know that movie is a horror film. And you hate horror movies." Alexis says as she looks at Craig.

"What's your point?" Craig asks nervously

"Uh guys excuse us for a moment." Alexis says as she grabs Craig by his ear.

"Ow. Alexis easy." Craig says as Alexis pulls him outside and shuts the door.

"What the heck Craig?" Alexis asks annoyedly.

"What? I'm just trying to hang out with you." Craig says.

"Listen Craig please go home. I'm not trying to be mean but I want to spend time with Jackie, Keun Sup and Aggie alone for a few hours." Alexis says annoyedly.

"But why? What's wrong with me staying?" Craig asks.

"Craig my brother and I constantly hang around you, Kelsey and JP. I wanna spend time with my other friends sometimes without anyone else. So please respect that." Alexis says sternly.

"Fine. I'll leave." Craig says.

"Thank you. Look I'll see you later okay. Why not go see Kelsey or JP? Maybe they'll wanna hang out." Alexis says as Craig leaves before she goes back inside.

"What was that all about?" Jackie asks as he signs to Alexis.

"Sorry guys. Craig has just been acting a bit paranoid lately. Everything is okay though. Let's get to watching the movie." Alexis says as she smiles.

*Timeskip*

"See you later Alexis." Aggie says as she, Keun Sup and Jackie later leave Alexis's house.

"Bye guys. I better call Craig. He was acting really weird earlier. Hey Craig our movie is done. I thought I'd check on you. I'm sorry for earlier but I just wanted time with my other friends. Nothing against you. Yeah sure I'll meet you. Wait. You're where!?" Alexis asks as she calls Craig on her phone.

*Timeskip*

"Thanks for letting me in ma'am." Alexis says as Xavier's mother lets her in Xavier's house.

"Not a problem dear. They're down in the basement." Xavier's mother says as Alexis heads downstairs.

"Craig you better have a good reason for this." Alexis thinks as Craig notices her.

"Alexis! I'm glad you came!" Craig says happily before Alexis smacks him.

"What the heck Craig!?" Alexis asks annoyedly.

"Ouch. Alexis what was that for?" Craig asks.

"You know good and well what. You're hanging out with Xavier? What gives man?" Alexis asks.

"Well nice to see you too beautiful." Xavier says as he walks over and smiles at Alexis.

"And you where do you get off attacking us, stealing from us and then tricking Craig into coming here just so you can steal our cubes!" Alexis says angrily before Craig pulls her back.

"Whoa Alexis! He's actually been trying to help me." Craig says as Alexis looks at him in shock.

"I beg your pardon." Alexis says in disbelief.

"We called a truce so chill. We agreed to help each other find the last cube and then worry about fighting each other." Xavier says as Alexis glares at him.

"And yet Craig is here on his own. Typical of you to take advantage of someone like that." Alexis says angrily.

"Look you don't have to believe me but I didn't force or trick your friend into anything. He's here on his own. But why argue with you. You just see me like the others. So take it up with your friend not me beautiful." Xavier says as he walks away.

"Stop calling me that. Whoa someone's been reading a lot of comics." Alexis says as she sees a bunch of comics on a table.

"That would be your friend there not me." Xavier says as he sits in a chair.

"Listen Alexis I know we've had our issues with Xavier in the past but could you at least be friendly while you're here?" Craig asks as Alexis glares at him unamused.

"Are you serious right now?" Alexis asks.

"Please?" Craig asks as he gives Alexis puppy eyes before she sighs in defeat.

"Fine. But no calling me beautiful while I'm here. Truce or not I made no agreement with you and if you ever step I will smack you." Alexis says as she glares at Xavier before shifting to wolf form and laying down in the floor nearby.

*Timeskip*

"What are you doing?" Alexis asks as she sees Xavier set a can of soda beside her.

"Just trying to be nice." Xavier says.

"Why?" Alexis asks cautiously.

"Look accept it if you want or don't. I don't really care." Xavier says as he shrugs.

"No. I'll accept it. Just weird seeing you showing any kind of kindness. Even if it's offering me a soda." Alexis says as she shifts to human form and opens the can of soda.

"I made a truce agreement. I might be enemies with you two but I do try to keep my word on agreements." Xavier says as he sits next to Alexis with a bag of squishers.

"Surprisingly." Alexis says as she takes a drink from her soda.

"I see you enjoy gaming." Xavier says as he sees a flyer sticking out of Alexis's pocket before she takes it out showing it to be a game flyer.

"Huh? Oh that's a flyer for a game I've been wanting to try for weeks now. It's supposed to be out in-" Alexis then gets cut off by Xavier.

"Two weeks? I know. I got it on preorder." Xavier says as he smiles.

"Lucky. Well when we're not going at it for some reason you'll have to tell me about it sometime." Alexis says as she smiles kindly.

"I thought you didn't like me?" Xavier asks as he smiles.

"Don't push it." Alexis says as she glares at Xavier causing him to chuckle as he opens a bag of squishers.

"Couldn't help it. Just you've always been the one of the group who's hated me the most so couldn't pass up a chance to call you out on you being friendly with me back." Xavier says as he chuckles.

"As you said I made an agreement myself with Craig. I do good on my word. But long as you're being civil so will I." Alexis says.

"Whatever you say." Xavier says as he continues eating from his bag of squishers.

"Why do you find me so interesting for? You've always seemed to go out of your way to tease or pester me." Alexis says as she gives Xavier an annoyed look.

"You're interesting. You much like Omar didn't willingly want to follow me for candy. But you also tried to show me kindness when we first met. Back then you didn't know I was King until Omar found out." Xavier says.

"To be fair you still didn't act a whole bunch different when I didn't know. But I like trying to get to know people. Too bad you chose to go down the path you did. I would of stuck around." Alexis says.

"Really? You would of stayed?" Xavier asks curiously as Alexis nods.

"You've got a lot of work to do when it comes to making friends but you're not a cruel person at heart. I can tell." Alexis says as she puts the can of soda down.

"And how's that?" Xavier asks curiously.

"Your heart beat. I can heart it. I use that to tell if someone is being sincere or not. It gives off a different pace when someone isn't being calm and genuine in their actions. But you still chose to do what you did. So I didn't stay. Though for what it's worth I have liked being around you today." Alexis says as Xavier looks at her in surprise.

"I know we'll go back to being enemies after this and I just wanna say thanks. For letting us hang out here. You've got some pretty cool stuff." Craig says as he comes over.

"Yep. My best personality trait. That's basically the only thing anyone ever likes about me." Xavier says as he goes over to his computer.

"Craig didn't mean it that way Xavier. He just means it was nice hanging with you and getting to do some things with you for a change as something other than enemies." Alexis says.

"Trust me. I don't care. I'm used to it." Xavier says.

"What do you mean?" Alexis asks curiously.

"When we first moved here every kid at school wanted to come over to my house to hang out. I felt like the coolest kid in the cul-de-sac. But it didn't take long for me to realize what they were really coming over for. They like my snacks. They like my toys." Xavier says.

"But they didn't like you did they?" Alexis asks as Xavier nods.

"Unfortunately yeah. And it's been that way ever since." Xavier says as he pours himself a glass of soda and drinks it.

"Is that what it was like when you were King?" Craig asks.

"Don't get me wrong it was fun putting kids against each other for squishers but it was also kind of lonely." Xavier says.

"So why do you want to be King again if you feel that way?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Yeah. We assumed that's what you were gonna ask the Heart of the Forest." Craig says.

"I don't know. I guess I wanna be King again because having fake friends is better than having no friends." Xavier says as Alexis gives him a sympathetic look.

"I know the feeling. When I first came here back around when I met Omar I had no one. Even after his family adopted me it was hard for me to make friends. Especially when people saw my wolf side. But I kept trying even though it was hard. Then I met Craig and the others. And ever since people started coming around to me more. Craig and his friends helped me and Omar to open up more to people and they got to know the real us. It just takes time sometimes." Alexis says kindly.

"Alexis is right. If you let people get to know you I'm sure they'd come around." Craig says.

"I'm not like you Craig. Everybody wants to be your friend. And you Alexis are a kid who can turn into a literal wolf. That's something cool that the others admire about you. I've tried. I guess I'm just different. Being King is the closest I've ever got to having friends. So that's what I'm gonna ask for." Xavier says as Alexis feels hears her phone beeping and sees it's Omar.

"Guys I'll be right back. I should take this." Alexis says as she leaves the room.

*Timeskip*

"I'm back. Omar was just asking me how the movie was." Alexis says as she walks back into the room.

"We found it!" Xavier and Craig shout.

"Found what?" Alexis asks curiously.

"The cube!" Xavier shouts as the group runs outside and sees two drones holding the cube.

"Awesome guys! I don't know how you did it but amazing job." Alexis says as she smiles at Craig and Xavier causing him to blush.

"You know that was really cool." Craig says.

"Yeah, yeah. Like the comics, the squishers and the drones." Xavier says as he turns away.

"Well yeah. But also it was cool just hanging out." Craig says.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but I have to agree with Craig. You're not so bad when you wanna be. It was nice." Alexis says kindly causing Xavier to smile at her shyly.

"So who gets it?" Craig asks.

"You keep it. For now. Good thing you listened to me though. I told you we needed a truce." Xavier says.

"Now we just need everyone back at the stump to agree to one too. Come on! Let go!" Craig says as he and Alexis take off running before Alexis stops seeing Xavier isn't following.

"Xavier are you coming?" Alexis asks kindly.

"Yeah! Wait up!" Xavier says as he smiles and runs off with Alexis and Craig.
