Chapter Two: Sweet Melody
Jake's POV
As Izzy and I entered the studio, to get ready for our first day of rehearsals I see... matured woman. Is he and I are now confused and I look at everyone else and everyone else has the same expression and I am not really sure on what's going on right now.
"Ziva, ziva, ziva!" The woman said.
That's when Peter Pan walked in.
"What are you guys doing? Why aren't you guys warming up?" Peter wanted to know.
"Oh yeah, that's because we're watching the old lady dance. You know what Peter? I think she's possessed. I don't know." Finn told him.
"Hey, she's not old nor she is possessed." Peter corrected him.
"Oh. Then what's she doing here?" Finn exclaimed.
Peter's POV
"Coralie!" I called as I walked over to her.
"Hi, Peter!" Coralie said.
"Anyway everyone, Coralie it's going to be our new head choreographer." I explained.
"Namaste!" Coralie said.
"Thank you so much for coming to our rescue you're really saving us." I told her.
"No problem Peter,
"Anyway, when I got your call, I was actually saving dolphins. And I was like "you know what? There's enough people here saving the dolphins I needed to save you" I will grow into love each and every one of you. I'm sure but probably not as much as I love dolphins so..." Coralie explained.
"Now, that we have met Coralie officially, I want to talk about The Challenge. Is that challenge is open to those who have made it to Nationals. But, two of the 12 dancers are alternates so really only 10 people will be competing." I told the group.
"I don't mind some competition." Finn said.
"No, I think we should stick to this team." Owlette exclaimed.
"Actually everyone, my girlfriend and I have discussed it and we thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and do The Challenge." Jake told his team.
"Yeah, I mean if we do the challenge guys will have the best national team ever. And I know how competitive Nationals is." Izzy exclaimed.
"Okay, so all in favor of The Challenge please raise yo
Most of the team raises their hands.
"Okay, I guess we're doing The Challenge." I announced as Jake and Izzy high five.
"I will send wire out to all of the studios to let them know, that The Never Dance is holding auditions." I told them.
"Oh this is exciting, I just love challenges. I remember my first challenge. I got cut." Coralie said has everyone was silence just looking at each other.
Cubby's POV
As my crew and my wonderful girlfriend Stormy were walking around the mall, we will all walk in towards the staircase. But as we were walking, we over here Hook yelling at Marina. Which is kind of strange because because the only people he yells at is his pirate crew Peter Pan and basically us.
"Is that Hook we hear?" Stormy asked.
Captain Hook's POV
"I'M THE CHOREOGRAPHER, I GOT TO THEM THERE! GOOD JOB WAS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE'S READY TO WIN! YOU'RE THE DANCE CAPTAIN!" I yelled as Marina started crying.
"Can I not just have another shot?" Marina wanted to know.
"HELLO, OF COURSE YOU CANNOT HAVE ANOTHER SHOT. I DON'T EVEN WANT YOU ON OUR TEAM WHAT AM I THINKING? I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU IN MY STUDIO AGAIN! NOW LEAVE!" I shouted.
Jake's POV
After what Cubby, Stormy, Izzy and I witnessed, way quickly walked away.
"Maybe like three and four." Coralie told me.
"Okay that's good, yeah." I answered her.
"Then a back kick!" Coralie said.
"Nice." I exclaimed.
Coralie's POV
I wanted to run my choreography for the challenge by Jake just because he's a dance Captain.
"It's like rebound one and two." Jake exclaimed.
"One, and two." I told him as we then both high five each other.
The phone rings*
"Oh! I'm going to go get that." I told him as I left.
"Sure, thing Coralie." Jake said.
"Okay, thanks Jake." I thanked him.
Jake's POV
"You're welcome Coralie." I said as a boy came walking into the studio.
"Hey!" I said.
"Hey." The boy answered.
"Uh, the auditions aren't till later on sir." I told him.
"Oh, i know. I was just...I'm actually here looking for someone." The boy told me.
"I'm so sorry, but I didn't quite get your name." I said.
"Oh I'm sorry where are my managers. I'm Ryan." The boy named Ryan introduced himself as he was holding his hand out.
"I'm Jake, pleasure to meet you, Ryan." I exclaimed.
"Anyway, I'm the dance Captain here. Sorry you said you were looking for someone?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm looking for my girlfriend." Ryan told me as I was a bit confused.
"Maybe you know her. Her name is Stormy." Ryan said as I was shocked.
"Wait, wait, wait a minute you mean Stormy with that mermaid tail that can change into legs? That Stormy?" I wanted to know.
"Yeah, that sounds like her." Ryan answered.
"Your girlfriend?" I exclaimed.
"So Stormy, doesn't know you here?" I asked.
"No, she has no clue." Ryan told me.
"Actually, I'm going to help you out. You see, there's this place called Urban Culture. It's in the same building just right downstairs and on the dances kind of hang out and mingle there so it would be great for you to go you know surprise her" i explained.
"Thank you, Jake." Ryan thanked me.
"Yeah." I exclaimed as Ryan them left Studio A to go to Urban Culture.
Cubby's POV
As my girlfriend stormy and I were in the Urban Culture talking, Stormy started to have a conversation with me.
"Okay, cubby dinner at the hideout yesterday was so hilarious." Stormy said.
"Yeah, I don't know how you got is it in Jake to act so normal. Like they won't even arguing." I told her.
"Wait really?" Stormy wanted to know.
"Well yeah." I answered.
"Why do you say that Cubby?" Stormy exclaimed.
"Because I've never seen them acting not arguing once. Also another reason because when you're not around, they argue. With each other they just keep on saying to me "stay out of this Cubby." I explained.
"Maybe they just don't want you to be in there arguing moment." Stormy said.
"Okay, that could be true. But, I'm the best friend and it's my job to stop them from arguing with each other or else they're going to break up and I don't want that to happen to them. Just to let you know it was my plan to get them together anyway." I told her.
"Really cool!" Stormy said
"I should probably become more often than." Stormy told me.
"Yeah you should. You can be there arguing counselor. Because when they argue they can go and stop them and then set them down on the chair and talk to them about their arguments haha." I explained.
"I'll bring my briefcase." Stormy exclaimed.
That's when, Owlette, Bart Izzy, and Jake walked over to us.
"Hi, guys!" Owlette exclaimed with her usual smile.
"Aww look at you two love birds. You guys are so adorable together.
"Storm-Cubby." Bart said.
"You two are so cute." Owlette told us.
" I think this is the happiest I've ever been." I said as I held Stormy's hand as she started to blush.
"Oh!" Bart exclaimed.
"It's going to be a really good day." I said.
"Never Dance's going to represent though." Owlette told us.
"Oh, but of course." I answered.
"For sure." Owlette exclaimed.
"Obviously, Peter knows." Izzy said.
"Yo!" Jake called us all.
"What's up Jake?" Owlette asked as he motions his head to Marina standing over there in the Urban Culture. As we all then turn our heads around to Marina standing there.
"Right." Bart said as Marina walked away.
"What is she doing here, and who invited her?" Owlette exclaimed.
"I did!" Stormy answer as we all looked at her.
"Why would you do that?" Jake asked while Stormy got up and walked over to her sister.
Stormy's POV
I want to help my big sister to prepare for the challenge because I feel really bad for her after what hook did to her, in front of everyone at the mall. Look, I know she can be mean a lot but she has feelings.
"Hey Marina what up!" I called her name and she turned around.
"Oh, hi Stormy." Marina said.
"I really need to talk to you about auditioning and I'd rather talk somewhere else." I explained as we both went somewhere else to talk.
Izzy's POV
"We need to get that under control." Owlette whispered as we all notice a boy looking lost in urban Culture.
"Hey guy! You auditioning for The Challenge?" Cubby asked.
"Yeah." The boy answered.
"Yeah?" Cubby questioned.
"My apologies, yeah I am auditioning." The boy answered.
Owlette's POV
"Where the Never Dance, I'm Owlette, that's Jake his girlfriend Izzy and that's Cubby and Bart." I introduced myself and my friends to him.
"Hey, guys, I'm Ryan!" Ryan introduced himself to us.
"Nice to meet you Ryan?" Everyone said.
"Actually, Ryan and I already met upstairs." Jake told us while Ryan nodded.
"Well, Ryan welcome to Never Dance. Mi casa est tu casa." Cubby exclaimed in spanish.
"Uh, Cubby since when did you learn to speak Spanish?" I wanted to know.
"You don't know everything about me, Owlette. But someday you will, my little owl feathered friend." Cubby said.
"Cool, actually can you put that in writing?" I wanted to know as everyone laughed.
"Thanks." Ryan answered as Cubby and Ryan started to do a handshake.
Izzy's POV
As Peter, Coralie and I were in Peter's office, Coralie started to speak.
"I heard this whole Cubby AMD Stormy thing that's happening." Coralie said as I was now confused on what she just said.
"Huh? Where did you hear that from, Coralie?" I wanted to know with my arms crossed.
"Oh, I uh don't like to reveal my sources I don't think that's fair." Coralie told me.
"... Peter, told me Izzy." Coralie answered as I looked at Peter with a mad look on my face.
"PETER?! IF YOU WERE JAKE RIGHT NOW, I WOULD BEAT YOU UP! Amway, why would you tell Coralie about Cubby and Stormy?" I wanted to know while trying to calm myself down.
"I'm sorry." Peter apologized.
"You know that's not your information to tell someone about someone else's relationship." I said.
"Anyway, with that aside, I just wanted to know how you are Izzy?" Coralie wanted to know as I was confused again.
"Oh, uh I'm fine." I answered.
"Your left eye is not saying that you're fine." Coralie said.
"Well, my right eye is..." I hesitated.
"No, it's not. Your right eye actually is telling me that you need a hug." Coralie told me.
"I only hug Jake, ma'am." I answered.
"Sure you do." Coralie exclaimed.
"Maybe you just hug Jake, but I'm going to hug you." Coralie told me.
"No, you're not."' I demanded her not to hug me.
"Yeah, I am." Coralie answered.
"I'm just...I'm not really a hugger unless I'm with Jake."
"I don't like to hug." I said as she hugged me I didn't hug her back.
"Sh-sh-sh--sh-come here baby, feel free to cry." Coralie said as I was confused on what's going on as I then looked at Peter confused as he just gave me a smile.
Stormy's POV
As I walked Marina to Peter's office she didn't want to go in.
"Stormy, I don't want to go in." Marina told me.
"Just wait here. Okay?" I asked.
"Of course I'll wait here." Marina said as I went into Peter's office.
"Hey guys!" I said with the happy smile, but with a little worried in my voice.
"Stormy! Is there anything you want to tell us?" Izzy wanted to know.
"Actually I do." I told her as Marina walked in.
"Book izzy, I really want it to. Is it okay if I audition for Troupe A?" Marina exclaimed while Izzy folded her arms and scoffs.
"Izzy, look you know what it's like to be a dance captain and you end up doing things that you're not exactly proud of." Marina told her.
"Okay I'm confused." Izzy exclaimed.
"Izzy, everyone deserves a second chance. Even Marina." I said.
"I just really want to dance." Marina told her while begging.
"I think that's a great idea, and we would be pleased to have you auditioned Marina." Peter told her as I was happy for her.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Marina thanks Peter as she ran over and Hudson as she continued crying.
"Okay, clearly the three of you already have your heart set on this, so I am not going to stand in the way." Izzy exclaimed.
"I'm just going to go get ready. Okay? I won't get in your way." Marina said.
"Okay, dear." Coralie exclaimed.
"Okay, I'm just going to go on the record here now saying this is a bad idea." Izzy told us.
"Listen here Izzy, Marina has been suffered enough by Captain Hook she doesn't need to be suffered more about you. Please please just for once please show some sportsmanship." I said as I left.
Jake's POV
As we were warming up for The Challenge, right now, we're just warming up in Studio A, just getting ready for the challenge.
Song: "We Are One by Alex and Co.
This audition, is much different and much harder because all of the best dancers in the region are coming to audition.
There's a few J Troupers which is really cool. And they're amazing
Finn's POV
"How nervous are you for today, Owlette?" I asked.
"I am really nervous, there's so many good dancers." Owlette exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know." I said.
John's POV
As I saw a girl waving at me, I waved back as I then turned around to Lisa.
"Hey Lisa?" I called.
"Yeah, John what's up?" Lisa wanted to know.
"Do you know who that girl is." I asked whole pointing at the girl who waved at me.
"Actually, I don't sorry. Why?" Lisa exclaimed.
"Do you know what studio she's from?" I wanted to know.
"No I don't sorry once again." Lisa answered.
"John, are you okay?" Lisa asked.
"That girl over there who just waved at me, is trying to psyche me out." I told her.
Lisa's POV
"How is she trying to psyche you out?" I asked.
"She waved at me." John answered.
"Listen John, one thing I learned from last year is you need to focus on yourself, don't worry about anybody else." I said.
"Or, I just have to make sure I look better than her right?" John exclaimed.
"Or that." I agreed.
"How are you guys, welcome to the audition for Nationals Troupe!" Peter said as he and Coralie walked in as we all then clapped our hands.
"We have some amazing dances here in this room, like Luke!" Peter said as we all clapped.
"We have Tess!" Peter announced as well e clapped some more.
"I saw Jacquie in here somewhere..." Peter exclaimed while looking around as Jacquie raised her hand.
"Ahhh, there she is!" Peter said while we all clapped again.
"Tess, and Jacquie, they're really great dancers and they're really strong." Peter told us.
Jake can't wait to see them audition.
"And of course, we have the beautiful Skye auditioning." Peter announced as Skye did curtsy.
Skye, which Jake does know because her Studio actually went to Nationals a few years back, and you know that could come in handy.
"And, I saved the last person, some of you may remember Marina from Mer dance." Peter said as no one clapped.
"Boooooo." We heard Cubby say as the room was noe silent.
"Oh come on you guys, yes." Peter said as we slowly clapped our hands.
Jake's POV
Okay, I just found it really ridiculous that Marina is auditioning. As a matter of fact, I feel it's ridiculous that she gets to audition. Great that means more drama is coming for us.
"Great! Okay, I would love to explain to you how this audition is going to run. First, everyone will perform their solos, from there, we will narrow it down to 20 dancers. Then those 20 dancers will then return tomorrow to the next round of auditions. Which is the choreo round.
"Really tough." Coralie said.
"Exactly really tough." Peter said.
"Because from there we won't choose the 12 dancer that will make up our Nationals team." Peter exclaimed.
"Yes, and we have Jake and Izzy helping us to decide which dancers will make it through." Coralie explained.
All of a sudden, Ryan picks up Stormy and spins her around.
Ryan's POV
"Yo, I haven't seen you in so long, Stormy." I told her as I put her down.
"Wait just a coconut second, the two of you know each other?" Cubby asked.
"Yeah, she's my girlfriend." I responded.
Cubby's POV
"Yeah, she's my girlfriend, my girlfriend, my girlfriend." I heard Ryan's voice in my head repeatedly saying what you just said to me as I looked at stormy while being confused and...upset.
Stormy on the other hand stayed silent while looking at me as we both don't know how to handle this situation.
As it was still in awkward silence between stormy Ryan and I, Ryan started to speak again.
"Yeah, Stormy Is YOUR girlfriend? what's going on?" Ryan wanted to know.
Stormy's POV
"Hey Peter, may I please borrow your office for 2 minutes?" I asked.
"Please go ahead." Peter said.
"Thank you! I sent him as I took Ryan's hand and walked him into Peter Pan's office.
I really need to talk to Ryan. Especially in private because he has no idea, what's going on in my life now.
"Stormy, it's really good to see you." Ryan exclaimed.
"Yeah, it's really great to see you too but what are you doing up here?" I wanted to know.
You see, Ryan and I have a lot of history and we danced together when we were really little in the lagoon. And then we kind of liked each other before I left but I am just don't really know why he's here.
"I wanted to surprise you. I figured that since I'm up here, we can dance together just like all the times, and we can pick up things where we left off." Ryan explained.
That's when Ryan started to grab my hand and hold it.
Cubby's POV
"Hey Cubby, how you holding up about...that?" Finn exclaimed.
"I'm all right, I'm just stunned." I told him.
"Yeah, well." Finn said.
If I lose stormy again, I have no idea what to do after that. I wouldn't know if I could handle seeing her everyday. I would just be lost and lonely and upset while trying to fall asleep in the process.
Stormy's POV
"Wait wait wait, I just thought that when I moved up to Neverland, I thought that you'd would get the hint that I'd be moving on with my life." I explained.
"I am also surprised that you think of me as your girlfriend, I mean come on Ryan, after all this time it's been a really long time." I said.
"But now, that I'm here, we can start our relationship back up again." Ryan exclaimed.
"Ryan, get this through your head I've fallen in love with someone else I'm sorry. We can be friends all right that's all we're going to be is friends that's it we're keeping it as that."
"Ryan, you're a great guy, but I can't help how I feel about Cubby. I'm sorry I got to go." I told him as got up from the chair and left Peter's office.
Izzy's POV
As Jake and I saw stormy and Ryan walk out of Peter Pan's office and walk over to the rest of us, we were both confused on what is going on. But right now we need to focus on auditions.
Owlette's POV
"Hey Bart." I said.
"Oh hey what's up?" Bart exclaimed.
"So, um I am kind of actually worried about this whole Curry story and John and drama and now there's Ryan Ryan drama too." I told him.
"Yeah, also think about if Marina makes it in Google how much more drama she's going to make." Bart added.
Jake's POV
As Izzy and I walked over to have a conversation, about the love triangle of Cubby, Stormy, and Ryan, I also started to talk about Marina auditioning for Nationals as well.
"Okay this doesn't make sense why would ryan, come here and tell me that he's here here to see Stormy saying that he's her girlfriend and everything? I for one think that cubby and Stormy should be one. Not Ryan, and Stormy he's just probably going to do bad things to her." I said.
"Yeah and don't forget about Marina auditioning for Nationals. She is just going to cause drama as well. I mean she already did that with me so she can get closer to you Jake, remember?" Izzy asked.
"Yes, I remember. " I answered.
