A/N: Back again for a few updates. Nothing like reading some good fanfic to get the mind clicking again. Can't stay long, but I'm working on it. (Anybody hiring?)
In the meantime, the long story I was working on until I lost my fistful of 3x5 cards? I found them. Then we had to move, so I put them and some other important stuff in an ottoman marked URGENT STUFF! MAKE SURE THIS IS IN THE FRONT OF THE STORAGE BIN, RIGHT BY THE DOOR!
You know what happened.
Yeah, it's in the bin. Somewhere. Not by the door, that's for certain.
In the meantime, I haven't seen a new episode of NCIS in years. So I am still muddling around in my little AU universe. Come on in, the water's fine.

If You Have the Facts on Your Side, Pound on the Facts. If you Have the Law on Your Side, Pound on the Law. If you Have Neither on Your Side, Pound the Table.
-old law school adage
Lily wandered into the kitchen wearing a befuddled look on her face. "You look kinda lost," I said.
"I… did…"
From the breakfast table I heard a mild chuckle from my dearly beloved. "You still are," he pointed out kindly.
"No… no…" She sat carefully, still half in a dream. "I had absolutely no intention of saying yes to Charlie working at Target… but I did."
"Wore you down?" I laughed.
"Or wore you out?" Ducky added.
"Out—outmaneuvered, outgunned, outflanked. Every point I had, she carefully, logically shot down in flames. Never give up, never surrender? Fat chance." She grabbed a still warm brownie and took a hefty bite. "She could convince me the sky is green with purple polka dots. I guess this is what comes form letting her take Debate last year."
Ducky snorted faintly. "This is what comes from the girls watching the Babylon 5 DVDs." He pointed a finger at Lily and she blinked at him. "My dear…you have a Minbari ambassador in your midst."
Ohhhhhh, I hope Lexi didn't take notes.
