New Wings pt 2
Okay guys. Decent response to chapter 1. On to chapter 2. Let's kick it up!
(Years ago on the planet Domino)
A young girl with blonde hair was happily running through the royal palace before she eventually came to large door. Pushing the door open, the girl looked in awe at the back of the room and was unable to hold back the impulse to walk further in to the room while reaching for something as her irises began to glow yellow.
"Young miss! Where are you?" The girl heard before pulling back, her eyes returning to their normal brown and she turned to the open door.
"Coming," The girl called before she ran out of the room.
(In the present day)
Within the reaches of the stars flew a large white humanoid robot with a horned head, boxy right arm, red left shoulder over the thinner arm with a yellow head on the wrist, blue Pegasus themed right leg, white left leg, red and pink wings, and a black and gold torso with a green window in the center.
"I'm just going to say it. Goldar clearly had the Gravezord in the back of his mind when putting this together." Timmy commented, Bloom giggling slightly.
"Oh yeah. You just know that if more of the Red Dragon was intact one of the arms of this baby would have the blade made from its tail." Bloom joked.
"That reminds me. Do you think we should have called Slayer for backup until we get these new powers?" Timmy asked.
"I talked to her last week, actually. Apparently, she's busy dealing with Babkanda's vampire army. Can't pull her away from that." Bloom explained. Sky and Brandon couldn't help but look at each other with the feeling of being out of the loop.
"So, it sounds like the two of you have been through a lot as Power Rangers." Sky pointed out.
"We sure have. When we have the time, I'll tell you about when Bloom and I switched bodies." Timmy said, getting a laugh from Brandon.
"Okay. I need all the details on that one!" Brandon said. Just then, one of the consoles beeped.
"Looks like we're coming up on Domino." Timmy said before looking over to Bloom. "Are you sure you're up for this?" He asked.
"This my be my home world. But right now I can't worry about how it is and how every other world if we don't stop the Trix." Bloom said, sharing a nod with the former Blue Ranger.
"Hey, guys. I'm new to these scanners. But I'm pretty sure I'm picking up... ship from Magix down on the surface." Brandon said before Bloom got a curious look on her face before she changed coarse to the location of the ship.
A short time later, Typhonis landed near a small ship before its wings lowered to and wrapped around its waste. The ships door then opened before four girls in arctic gear came out came out. One with strait blonde hair, one with navy hair with twin ponytails, one Hispanic looking girl with wavy brown hair, and one girl with her pink hair done in a pixie cut.
"What the heck they doing here?" Sky asked in shock at seeing Bloom's friends, the Winx.
"Let's find out." Bloom said as she got out of her seat and led the boys to exit of the patchwork Zord. Upon exiting the four were met by the Winx who quickly ran up to Bloom.
"Bloom, are okay? Faragonda told us you were attacked by the Trix." The blonde girl, Stella said, rapidly looking over Bloom to make sure she wasn't hurt.
"I'm fine. Thanks for coming." Bloom said, grateful to her friends.
"Hey. Where you go, we go." The Asian looking girl, Musa stated with a smirk.
"Wait. How did Faragonada get word about the attack?" Brandon asked.
"She and Zordon must know each other." Timmy reasoned out.
'Zordon?' The girl with the pixie cut, Techna thought before she decided to get down to business. "What I don't understand why we came here." She said before Bloom looked out at the landscape.
"The Trix took my magic. I need to be able to fight them to get it back. And the only way to that was to come to back here and become a Power Ranger." Bloom explained before the rest of the Winx gained shocked faces.
'A Power Ranger? Heh. She really aims high.' Musa thought before stepping forward. "Well, let's get going. The faster you get these powers, the faster you get some well deserved payback." She said.
"Hold on. Should Flora be coming with us? This place is a frozen wasteland after all." Sky noted before the tan girl put her hand up.
"Don't worry. Many plants can grow in snowy areas. So my magic will only be a slightly weaker here." Flora assured.
"Well, as long as you're sure." Timmy said before taking a small object and opening it to reveal a small screen. "Looks like the palace is about half a dozen clicks northwest. We'd better get moving." He said before the group began walking.
As the they continued on their travels, Stella was walking along with Bloom before the blonde looked back to Sky and Brandon.
"You should talk to him." Bloom said, not even needing to look at Stella to know what she was doing.
"It's not that easy. He lied to me and was a key part in absolutely humiliating you." Stella said with a forlorn look on her face.
"I get it. But you can still barely keep your eyes off of him. You should try when you're ready to." Bloom said, gaining a reluctant smile from Stella.
"Okay what about you and Sky?" Stella asked.
"Right now, I'm just trying to focus on beating the Trix and getting back my magic before they use it for something terrible." Bloom said, Stella nodding at her reasoning.
Eventually the group arrived at their destination. The massive doors of Domino's capitol palace.
"Dang. Those doors are completely frozen over." Sky noted as the group looked at the ice which had formed over the gates.
"Well luckily, it doesn't seem like the ice to thick. So, getting through won't be too much effort." Timmy pointed out, Techna pointing her hand out before a grid formed over her hand, allowing her to double check and confirm what Timmy was saying.
"Shall we?" Musa asked as she walked up next to Stella and gained a "Let's." from the blonde before the two of them raised up their hands to let out low blasts of their sound and sun magic respectively to cause the ice to crack before shattering all together. From there, it was a simple matter for Bloom and the boys to push against the doors and open them in to the main courtyard.
Bloom couldn't help but look around at the frozen remains of the place she was born and think about what might have been. Bloom had no regrets. She wouldn't have traded her life with her adoptive parents on Earth for anything. But part of her was curious.
As the group walked through the courtyard, a familiar feeling suddenly washed over both Bloom and Timmy before they stopped in their tracks.
"What's wrong?" Sky asked before Bloom and Timmy pulled out red and silver objects and spun and folded them in to handguns. Just then, several creatures.
"Ice Golems." Brandon said as he and Sky both pulled out their swords.
"They must have formed from the runoff of the curse that froze the planet." Techna reasoned out before looking to the other members of the Winx before nodding before pillars of light in yellow, red, purple, and pink each one of them had taken their fairy forms. Stella was clad in yellow and wore a top with one strap on the left shoulder showing off her stomach, a pair of gogo boots, and a pair of biker shorts, Musa was wearing a red outfit much like to Stella's, only with a miniskirt instead of shorts and a translucent piece of fabric over her abs, Techna was clad in a full body purple suit covering all but her face and unlike the others, her wings were two wired contructs which made and a grid patterned glider form out of them, and Flora was clad in a simple pink dress and a choker with a flower in it.
The Golems began to charge at the those still on the ground as Bloom and Timmy quickly responded by opening fire with the pink and blue blasts of their respective guns and provided cover for Sky and Brandon with cover as they began to slice at them. The two swordsmen were able to do quite well against the attackers until one of them broke through their defenses and managed to get Brandon on the shoulder and caused ice to form over it. Upon seeing this, Stella became enraged and blasted the creature to dust a before flying down to the brown haired boy and making her hand glow with her sun magic and made the ice on his shoulder melt.
"You okay?" Stella asked, getting a nod from Brandon.
"These things just keep coming." Brandon said as Stella helped him up.
"And anyone without magic will take way too much damage if they hit us." Bloom pointed out as she and Timmy got back to back to avoid getting flanked.
"Then we need those Morphers right now." Timmy said before he suddenly got an idea. "Techna! Can you give us a tunnel!?" He shouted up to the purple fairy.
"Coming rite up!" Techna called before signaling for Stella fly back up and she made a grid patterned tunnel around Bloom and the boys to the door at the other end of the courtyard.
"Hold the line here! We'll be back as soon as we can!" Bloom shouted up to her friends before she and the boys sprinted to the door where she and Timmy used their blasters to simply break through. Once inside, Timmy looked at his scanner which brought up a map of the castle.
"Alright. This way." Timmy said before the four began to run. Soon enough they arrived at the door. "Okay. This one we can't shoot through. Bloom. You're up." He saidm gaining a nod from the red head before she placed her hand to the door which then had a slight glow come to it before the door opened to reveal a large room with five brown hilted swords with the design of five insects on the hand guards lined on the wall.
"Okay. Five of those. Four of us. Who get's which one?" Sky asked.
"Well, the Morphing Grid energy still in my body is getting pulled to that one." Timmy said as he approached one of the swords.
"Sky. You take the one in the middle." Bloom said, Sky about to ask why until being given a 'Just do it.' look from the red head before he went to the sword as Bloom and Brandon stood before the ones on his left.
"So we just... take 'em?" Sky asked before the others shrugged and put their hands on the hilts of the swords.
Suddenly, the room lit up with color as Bloom's eyes flashed pink for a moment before switching to purple, as Sky, Timmy, and Brandon's eyes became red, blue, and black. As the energy surged through her body, Bloom looked to her right and her eyes widened upon seeing a ghostly hand reaching to for the final sword, becoming solid upon gripping it.
Back outside, the Winx continued to fight against the Ice Golems before five streaks of light arced from the castle and faded to reveal five Power Rangers. The suits they were clad in were more clearly armored than the average Ranger suits and each one had a cape of the left arm, a silver rectangular belt buckle, and each one with the exception of the black ranger had a black visor based off an insect, the Red Ranger being a Stag Beetle, Purple Ranger Moth, Blue Ranger Dragonfly, and Yellow Ranger Mantis while the Bee themed Black Ranger had silver wing designs over his forehead and an orange striped mouthpiece.
"Power Rangers! ExoKnights!" The five called together as they held up their weapons in preperation for battle.
Seeing that there were now targets on the ground again, the Ice Golems rushed towards the Rangers.
The Red Ranger was the first to enter combat with the Ice Golems, slicing through one before he grabbed another of them by the throat and through it directly in to a crowd of the others and he chopped down on them.
The Blue Ranger was next, his new Ranger Form affording him the speed to rapidly dart between the Golems and slice them down.
The Yellow Ranger rush towards the Golems and spun their sword around to cut through any of the Ice Golem that got even remotely close to them.
The Black Ranger used his enhanced senses well to his advantage as he stabbed through multiple Ice Golems without even looking before one of the them leapt at him only for him to switch to a reverse grip to stab that one as well.
Finally, the Purple glided through the Golems in elegant movements which made it almost look like she was ice skating through the Golems before she leapt in to the air and began to flew down to slice through the last of of the Ice Golems before taking off her helmet.
"I almost forgot what it felt like." Bloom said while she clenched her fist.
"I'm not sure how. This is amazing!" Sky said after he and the other boys took their helmets off.
"Yeah. I can't believe you used to do this all the time?" Brandon asked Timmy.
"Oh yeah and it is good to be doing it again." Timmy said with a smile before Stella thought of something.
"Uh. Wait a second. Only four of you went in. Who's the one in yellow?" The fairy of the sun asked before Bloom stepped forward.
"That would be my cue." Bloom said before gesturing to the Yellow Ranger. "Guys, allow me to introduce the crown princess of Domino and my big sister..." She began before the Yellow Ranger took off her helmet to reveal the face of a blonde girl who looked very much like Bloom. "... Daphne."
