To Win The Heart Of The Amazon!
Everyone gasped in their confusion- eyes shifting between one another to see who the unlicky chosen was going to be-
But that finger pointed at-
"Bastion?" Connar's eyes shifted to the Ashy haired male with a slight smirk on his lips.
"Hmph..."Chazz pouted, though not without the notice of a pinkette shoorting daggers at him-
"What the?" Chazz blinked leaning in slowly toward the only other female in the group, "Hey Alexis? What's up with Connar do you know?"
The blonde sighs.
"I swear Chazz...you really are an idiot sometimes?"
The Raven haired male blinked his eyes in even more confusion-
What's with Her?
"Well...can't duel'em all." said Jaden, arms folded back behind his head as he walks off center stage-
"Hmph." Alexis huffed.
Boys...are so dumb!
"What is your name?" Tanya asked as her selection stepped foot to center stage.
"Bastion." he replied, "Bastion Misawa."
"All right pal! Go and get her!"
"And don't go easy because she's a girl!"
Jaden and Syrus started their cheer session while Chumley stood back trying to sort out his feelings on the matter
"Not like any that I've seen..." he muttered.
"All right, let's do this..." Bastion said with a firm nod, "The only question is which deck to choose?"
"Really? I have the same problem myself." said Tanya as she admired the revelation of the six decks strapped to Bastions chest, "I have the same problem myself." she stated, "You see? I have two decks." she smiled, holding one out in each palm, "One is of Knowledge- the other is of Courage." she smiled, "So I'll let you decide which of the two I use."
"Fine then." said Bastion, "I pick the Deck of Knowlege."\
"Nice choice~" Tanya hummed as she placed the deck in its holder-
"Thank you." said Bastion, "But it's not nearly as nice as the choice that I am making for myself." He stated placing his own deck in mount, "I select my earth deck!"
"Then let us begins~" Tanya sang," And don't worry~ This isn't a Shadow Game."
"Beg your pardon!?"
"Not a Shadow Game?" Connar questioned. the rest of the gathered flock seemed just as confused by this claim-
"You heard me, Bastion~" she cooed, "I don't want your soul! I want you Big Boy~"
"Say WHAT!?"
"It's like this-" said Tanya, "My Tribe is all women- so to marry? I have to shop around."
"Marry!?"
"That's right hon- now let's do this." she winked.
"Marriage? Yeesh...now I'm kinda glad I was shot down..." Chazz mumbled, "Not that I would lose anyway- but still."
"Marriage?" Connar whispered to herself, blue eyes narrowing.
But...she's a Duel Spirit- isn't she?
Can Duel Spirits mingle with people like that?
It was hard to determine- after all, standing in front of them, Tanya was as solid as the rest of them, and not whispy and transparent like the Spirits Connar has found herself being familiar with...
Perhaps some Duel Spirits were stronger than others?
Strong enough to manifest...though, she had no proof of this. There was just something inside of her that told her this...
Could that be what being a Spirit Caller is?
She remembered a long time ago...when she was younger and would often hide away from her uncle and her father in an old Card Shop...
The keeper there at that time, Yugi- most likely just running things while his grandfather did errends...would often tell her stories about Duel Monsters and spirits... and how they can sometimes Spirit people away into a world unknown. The Spirit World.
Is that what's gonna happen to Misawa if he loses this Duel?
she wondered to herself, as she watched the duel begin play out.

"All right it's my turn!" said Tanya, "And first, I'll summon The Amazoness Swords Woman in Attack mode:

DEF: 1600
"Then I'll place one card face down and end my turn."
"I'm on!" Bastion huffed, "And I summon to the field- Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus in attack mode!"

"And now, Magnet Warrior! Attack that Amazoness!"
Sparks flew when the monsters collided, ultimately ending in the Swords Woman's destruction-
Though, Bastion was the one who took the damage.
"Why did Bastion lose life points?" Syrus asked.
"Because of my Amazoness's ability." said Tanya,"Her opponent takes all battle damage that was dealt to her~"

"He walked right into that one..." said Chumley.
"Yeah...that's not like Bastion..." said Alexis.
"Nuh-uh- it's just like Bastion!" Jaden corrected, "Sure he may have fewer life points...but now she has fewer monsters." he explained, "Smart move."
"Yeah...until I play my face down card~" she said, "Pride of Tribe! This card activates when an Amozoness is destroyed~ So now I get to summon another one from my deck." she hummed, "So tell me, who here is the smart one now?" she teeters, "You miscalculated on that last move, after all now we have the same amount of monsters...but not the same amount of life points~"
Bastion gritted his teeth and heaved a sigh as he continued his turn.
"I'll play a card face down...and that will suffice."
"Oh my~ That will suffice? Say it again! It sounded so cool~"
The woman swooned her words like a giddy teenager in love causing more than a few cringes in the crowd-
"You know- I'm thinking it's been a couple of years since Tanya interacted with a guy..." Syrus whispered to his two friends beside him.
"Couple of years, Sy?" Said Jaden with a raised brow-
"Yeah, try a couple of decades." Connar huffed with her arms folded as she mutters to herelf.
"Tell me about it...this lady is man crazy..." Jaden agreed.
"I'm quite flattered~" Bastion hummed, "But I'm well aware of what you're trying to do- you're trying to distract me." he stated, "But I can tell you right now my dear, it's simply not going to work- I'm too focused."
"Oh, ARE you!? We'll see!" Tanya huffed as she took her draw, "I play The Amazoness Blowpiper."

"And I play my face down!" said Bastion, "Magnet Force Minus! When this card is activated, it can equip onto one monster- then who its equipped to, gets a negative magnetism, and becomes what's known as a minus Monster."
"Oh...?"
"And from there is where it gets interesting." he explained, "Two Minus Monsters- they're not allowed to engage in battle with each other- but a minus and a plus? If they're out- they must fight."
"So if Amazoness Blowpiper is a Minus Monster..."
"And Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus is a Plus Monster?" he grins, "It's on!" he smirks, "You know that old quote? Opposites Attract? Well- in this case, I'm afraid it's true."
"I know it." said Tanya, "After all- just look at the two of us~"
"Oh, stop it!" the Ra student huffed.
"Stop it? Why don't I just stop you from winning this battle instead!" said Tanya as she held up a reverse spell, "Go Amazoness Spell Caster~" she hummed, "Now one Amazoness and One Monster on the field exchange their attack points with each other!"
What!?
"This is bad!" said Syrus, "Now Alastor's Monsyer is going to be out matached!"
"Attack, Amazoness Blowpiper!"
And out matched he was- Magnet Warrior went up in smoke- and Bastion to a hit of damage dropping him down to 2700. But this wasn't the end of Tanya's wrath-
"And now The Amazoness Swors Woman will attack you directly!"

Already the Ra student was down by more than half-
"But how..." Bastion huffed, "That's twice now that she's been able to out-think me..."
"I guess we know where our kids are going to get their smarts from then~" she cooed.
"What!? KIDS!?" the man was getting flustered, "We are enemies! RIVALS!"
"During this duel we are~ but afterwards? We'll be betrothed to eachother~" she hummed, "Just think about it! You'll be Mister. Tanya the Amazon Woman~!"
Oh gag me...
Connar thought to herself. A sentiment shared by her comrades who all seemed to be making the same cringeing expression.
"You're relentless..." Bastion sighed,"Truly- are you that smitten with me?"
"I prefer in love~"
"YOU HARDLY KNOW ME!"
"Well...they got the bicker like a married couple role down." said Connar, agreed with Chazz's soft snickering.
"Yeah, or like you and Chazz-" Alexis teased.
"WHAT!?" they both frozem and glanced at each other, each one trying to cover for themselves in the matter-
"Er- What? PRinceton and Me that's-"
"We're so over that!" Chazz huffed.
"Yeah- Over that!" said Connar.
"Hey get your own jeer-"
"What I was AGREEING with-"
And they both stand corrected. With a Triumphant Alexis grinning in a small victory while the two immediately silenced themselves.
Though Tanya and Bastion's still continued-
"I know enough~" she cooed, "My little sugar booger~"
Okay- even Bastion had a twuinge of irritation at that one.
Keep your cool Bastion...she's just trying to distract you!
He thought to himself.
"Bastion sure is acting weird..." said Jaden.
"Love works in mysterious ways~" chimed Syrus.
"QUIET, I'M NOT IN LOVE!" the ra student huffed.
And I'll prove it by taking Tanya down!
"My Turn! I activate Magnet Conductor Plus!" Bastion declared, "This allows me to bring a plus monster from my graveyard to my hand!"
With that, he re-added his earlier Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus-
"However he won't be out for long because him and Magnet Warrior Omega Minus are going right back to the grave so that I can summon Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum plus minus!"
With an attack of 2700 Bastion now held the most powerful monster on the field. Especially when this monster's effect was to add half of the attack points of a magnet monster on the field to its own power- bringing it up to 3100.
"He's got her out matched now!" said Jaden.
It didn't take long for Bastion to blow the blowpiper away, droppi ng Tanya's own life points down a large margi,

"Next I place two face downs...and I think that will do."
"What a move!" the Amazoness beamed, "No wonder I love you! And sweetie- because I do~ I must beat you!"
She took her draw abnd grinned.
"And with Amazoness Swords Woman's special ability, where even if she loses, you take damage? I will!"
With that- she sent her monster in for a collision-
This is it!
Bastion thought to himself
I better think fast or this duel is going to be over fast!
"Sorry but I play a face down!" he stated, "Power off! Now my Conduction Warrior splits back into the two monsters that Originated him!"
"No Fair!"
"Tight move!" Jaden beamed.
"Yes, I agree..." Bastion sighed.
"Right on time too..." said Connar, because if he hadn't done that...he definitely would have lost-."
"Guess I'll just have to get you next term." said Tanya, "And with Amazoness Paladin now on the firled...you can be sure I will." she hummed, "Because my Paladin? She gains an extra 100 attack points for ever monster on the field that had the name Amazoness in it~"
With that- the monster whose attack was originally 1700- now jumped up to 1900.
"Next I'll place two cards face down...and that will do for now."
Well at least she's concentrating on her dueling instead of on me...
Bastion thought to himself.
"All right- it's my move now!"
"Speaking of moves, sweetie?"
Oh great now what is she on about?
Connar questioned in a clear discomfort over this cringe fest-
She was all for romance...but even she had her limits on how much forced and layered sticky mush could be layed out in front of her before she starts feeling awkward-
Especially on something that seemed very clearly one sided...
"I think...it's probably best if you move in with me." she stated, "You know? After we get married? Ooh~ We'll just have the coziest home sweet home!"
Again with this? At this rate I'm almost ready to just yell get a room and walk out of here...
"But should you do that- Ms. Connar- your friend Bastion might-"
"Yeah yeah, I got it." Connar sighed.
Of course Kaibaman had ever reason to be concerned...
...But still...
"Oh I'm sorry, honey~ Am I distracting you again with all this talk about how much I love you? and how positively handsome you are?"
Jeeze...at the very least can I at least duck behind the wall or something?
But then...Connar would hate to miss the rest of the duel...
"Oh~ There I go again~ I guess I just can't help myself~ I'm head over heels~~"
"Ah...yes...me too...Tan...ya..."
"YUCK! Are there barf bags on this flight!?" said Jaden
"My thoughts exactly..." Connar muttered in agreement
"Bastions getting all flushed..." said Syrus.
"Yeah...and all side tracked." said Connar.
"Not good..." Jaden gulped.
"All right! My turn!" said Bastion, "First off- I summon Magnet warrior sigma minus in attack mode!"
Magnet Warrior Sigma Minus
ATK: 1500
DEF 1800
"Next- I'll play my face down! I can activate this when I have a Plus Monster and a Minus Monster on my field!" he declared,"It lets me switch one of your monsters to attack mode and reduce that monster's attack points by 800!" he claimed, calling target on her Paladin, dropping from 1900 to 1100.
"All right! That's sweet!" said Jaden, "Now Bastion's got the monsters and the match up he needs!"
"Good..." said Connar.
"Now maybe we can finally have an end to this gag fest." stated Chazz.
"Yeah- this duel is totally in the bag!" said Jaden.
"I would think so too..." said Tanya, "Until I activate Dramatic Rescue!" she said, "it lets me return one of my monsters to my hand and then summon a different one to the field." she said as she throws out Amazoness Tiger in her Paladin's stead and gaining her Paladin's attack when it gains a 400 point boost upon its summon-
"And don't try catching this tiger by the toe- because she gains 400 attack points for each amazoness out on the field." she hummed, "And- when this car is out and about- you're not allowed to attack any other amazoness monsters but it."
Simple...
Bastion began his thought process.
I have three Magnet warrior monsters out... I'll use one to attack that tigher. Then I'll use another to attack her Amazoness Swords Woman...
And the remaining one to attack Tanya's life points directly- and win!
"Fun duel- but I'm afraid now it's over!" declared Bastion, "Go now- attack and tame that Amazoness Tiger!"
"Misawa- NO!" called Connar- though it fell on deaf ears.
"You must be distracted..." said Tanya, "Otherwise you would have seen that I have a face down out!"
The face down being Amazoness Archers-
"Sorry hon- but now all of your monsters are forced into attack mode, lose 600 attack points and are all forced to wage battle right this instant!"
"But if they do that- they'll HAVE to attack that tigher!"
"And she has more attack points than any of them!" said Jaden
"He walked...right into a trap..." said Connar wth a heavy heart.
"What was he thinking!?"
"That's just it, Chazz..." said Professor Banner, "With all that love talk- I don't think he was."
And so fell the last of Bastion's life points...along with Bastion himself...
And his key...
