Race Against Time Part 3
"How's that?" Henry asked Alan.
"Very good, Henry." Alan praised.
Alan saw Kaori's car stopping at the railroad tracks, so, he immediately did the same behind her.
Back at the hospital, the medical team was doing everything within their power to revive Anne.
Anne started having another vision about her mom while she was in her comatose state.
"Look how much you've grown! You've been doing very well, I see." Akiko exclaimed.
"Well, not too well, I couldn't even save a few kids stuck on an island." Anne sighed.
"But you did, they're perfectly fine." Akiko said to Anne.
"They are? Oh, I guess my memory's a little fuzzy from the freezing water." Anne said to Akiko.
"Yes, but don't fret. You'll be fine, let's talk about something else to lighten the mood." Akiko said to Anne.
"Well, since I'm here, did you know a kid today was using your legendary move, the Dragon Shot?" Anne asked her mother.
"Ah, my old secret weapon! Nice to know it's still popular after all these years." Akiko said to Anne.
" I'll say it is. Not to brag, but I've mastered it myself. Do you happen to know any more basketball moves you can teach me? You never had time to because... you know." Anne sighed.
"Don't mind if I do." Akiko chuckled.
Back in the hospital, the monitor started beeping with one long beep.
"The girl's heart stopped, Doctor! She has gone into cardiac arrest!" a female nurse shouted
"Quick! We had better try to start her heart!" the doctor ordered.
"Right!" the rest of the medical team said.
A few minutes later, Charlie and Kaori entered the hospital.
The doctor came out of the operating room.
"Are you Charlie Chan, the famous detective?" the doctor asked.
"Indeed, I am." Charlie answered.
"Follow me." the doctor said to the detective.
When he followed the doctor into the operating room, Charlie saw Anne lying on a gurney within a deep coma.
