Angel's Light

Chapter 22

AN: Hello all, it's been a while. Firstly as always thanks to everyone who reviewed, followed, favorited and sent messages concerning this story. My focus has been elsewhere recently and I hadn't even realized it's been so long since the last update for it. I'm currently working on A Foxes Tale and have found myself stuck so this update has been a welcome distraction from that frustration. Anyway that's all I have for now so here's the new chapter.

P.S: I've put a few casting choices at the bottom

Start Now:

The Avengers had assembled, though unlike their usual gatherings they were neither in Avengers Tower nor within a S.H.I.E.L.D base. In fact most of them didn't even know where they were just that it was a bunker and they were not the only ones present as Fury, Hill and Coulson were also in attendance as were James Rhodes, Sam Wilson and Doctor Strange. Of this group all but Strange and Thor were currently dealing with massive headaches and while Thor certainly had one it was minor compared to the last major headache he had. Instead he could be seen seething with lightning visibly flaring from his eyes and crackling about his form as he stood doing his best to hold in his rage.

The reason for this was rather simple, Strange had offered to gift them with the memories of their future selves which resulted in their current headaches. Already prepared for this Strange circled the room and gave each of them a vial of Pain Relief Potion which all of them downed quickly ignoring the taste and focusing on the immediate relief they felt.

"When you told us the future was bad you really undersold it." Said Fury scowling.

"No, you just didn't have the context with which to grasp the situation fully." Said Strange

"Where's Wanda?" questioned Clint his eyes hard as he glared at the sorcerer.

"Currently attending class at Hogwarts. I've seen to it that she led a very different life than last time through." Said Strange causing the glare to diminish.

"Hogwarts, with Harry?" questioned Natasha.

"Indeed, in fact she is a fifth year Gryffindor, so they are in the same house." Said Strange

"That would make her what 15, she should be older." Said Tony.

"Time is actually quite malleable for one who knows what they are doing." Said Strange.

"What about her brother?" questioned Clint.

"Pietro, currently attending a high school in New York. He lacks magic so he couldn't attend Hogwarts, but he's also surrounded by people that are like him." Said Strange.

"Xaviers?" questioned Fury.

"No, though he is in the vicinity and his father took some convincing, it helps that Erik knows he can trust Charles."

"Wait, I thought the twins were orphans." Said Bruce.

"They were last time through. Their mother died in childbirth and their father was murdered soon after. They were adopted by one of their mother's cousins and her husband only for them to be killed due to the troubles in Sokovia when the twins were children. In this time I spoke to their father, and he agreed to move his family out of that area. Being who they are they needed a lot of open space and privacy, so I set them up with a farm in Kansas."

"Wait I thought they got their powers from the scepter." Said Bruce

"A reasonable assumption based on the knowledge you all had at the time. Wanda and Pietro are mutants, the experiments with the scepter unlocked their powers though not fully."

"So the twins are safe, what about the kid?" questioned Tony

"Currently a student of West View Junior High." Said Strange.

"Coulson put eyes on Parker, no interference but when he comes into his powers make contact with his aunt and uncle." Said Fury getting a nod.

"What are you up to?" questioned Tony.

"His parents were S.H.I.E.L.D, primarily they were scientists, but they were also trained field agents. They left when they decided they wanted to start a family, but we look out for our own." Said Coulson surprising the group.

"Good. If you want the best outcome for him when his powers come in he should start training under Steve and Natasha. He'll already fit well in with your current plans Stark." Said Strange getting a nod.

"What about T'Challa, should we reach out?" questioned Steve.

"The only one who can do that safely at present is Thor. If anyone other then him tries to make initial contact things won't go well."

"I'll make contact in a few days." Said Thor.

"I have memories from him and Shuri." Said Strange getting a nod from Thor.

"What about Lang?" questioned Sam

"Scott Lang is currently in prison; he's not scheduled for release for a couple more years. I have a plan to get him out early." Said Strange

"Right then, let's talk about the big problem." Said Cap.

"Tell us about these Skrulls." Said Tony.

Penelope Clearwater walked the grounds of Hogwarts like she owned them, which technically speaking she actually did and thankfully she'd received the position of Head Girl before anyone including her was aware that she as the Ravenclaw Heiress and as such no one could claim she hadn't earned her position. By this point she and the rest of the 7th years were no longer on an isolated time track which meant the entire school had caught up to where they were meant to be in both magical and non-magical studies and as such the students and staff alike were not fully integrated.

Because of this she had also finally been told about the job Harry had been reminding her about since the school year began though she hadn't been prepared for what it actually was when the offer was finally made. The job which she had accepted was as Remus's assistant in his role as the Potter-Black Steward. This was just the beginning as after she graduated Harry would sponsor her for any university she wanted and help her get her Mastery.

When she was done with school and appropriately educated she would be taking a role in Marauders Incorporated, a company that was still in its planning phases with a board was so far composed solely of Lords Black, Greengrass, Longbottom, and Potter once Harry came of age. Specifically she was meant to become the C.E.O of the company, and as such was pretty much in training to become the next Pepper Potts who at this point was one of the most powerful women in the world.

She hadn't told anyone but her parents the full scope of what she was being offered, she'd been around long enough now and experienced enough blood bias to realize such positions, even assistant level positions were usually reserved for purebloods and as a muggleborn she'd have never even been considered if it were anyone else. She knew her parents worried about her over the years and had even cautioned her against taking the job stating things that seemed too good to be true often were. Learning that it was Harry that offered her the job and why had caused them to relax though.

This had given her the opportunity to get to know Harry and those in his close circle better. While she'd gotten to know the younger group during the summer when she'd received the surprising invitation to attend Harry and Neville's birthday trip she was now considered part of the group and something of a mentor/older sister figure to the lot. That was something she hadn't been expected but she had come to quite enjoy the role.

At the moment she was actually on her way to meet up with Harry who for once wasn't working on one of his many projects. Granted she'd been more than a bit impressed with his completed projects and stunned by his current one, but she was glad someone had gotten him to take the time to relax as well. As a Ravenclaw she was all for studying and doing research, but she'd seen more than a few of her Housemates burn out over the years from overdoing things.

She found her quarry at the driving range with a group that consisted of Neville, Ron, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Prince William, Prince Harry and the Weasley twins. Because it was Saturday there weren't any classes which is why they could be outside playing around so early in the morning. Prince Harry, Haz, she reminded herself mentally, spotted her first which wasn't much of a surprise as he always seemed to know when she was around. If he was older and she wasn't dating Percy she would find his obvious crush more than just a little cute.

"Good morning Penny." Said the prince getting the group of boys to turn and see her approaching.

"Good morning everyone." Said Penny

"Think you'll make it back in time for the movie today?" questioned Neville.

"We should." Said Penny not surprised he knew that they were leaving.

Thirty minutes later and she was standing within Grimmauld Place preparing for the upcoming meeting. Harry was with Sirius in the office doing his own final preparations while she did a final check of the house. The magical portraits had all been frozen as their guests were No-Maj's which is also why she was currently dressed like an office secretary in a black skirt that went passed her knees and a light blue blouse while her blonde hair had been styled into a bun on the back of her head.

Finally there was a knock at the door and after taking a breath to compose herself she moved to open it. Standing outside were three people, two women and a man. One of the women was a stunningly beautiful brunette wearing a white business suit, with a skirt rather than pants. The second woman was also beautiful though in a more down to earth manner with blonde hair who was dressed professionally in a black skirt, blue top and a black blazer. Finally there was the man who wore a blue suit, white shirt with a slim black tie.

"Lady Lara Croft, Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Elena Drake correct." Said Penny getting nods from the three of them.

"Please." Said Penny stepping aside to allow them entrance before closing the door once the last person, Mr. Drake, entered.

"This way, my boss is in the office." Said Penny motioning them to follow her down the hall.

"Excuse me but can you tell us who exactly we are meeting, the letter we received didn't say." Said Mr. Drake.

"For good reason, he likes his privacy. You'll understand in a moment." Said Penny before turning and walking down the hall.

It wasn't long until they reached the office and Penny knocked on the door being granted permission to enter almost immediately. Opening the door revealed Harry seated behind the desk with Sirius flanking him, looking out the window and Remus sitting on a couch on the left side of the room. Three chairs were placed in front of the desk though there was a small gap between one chair and the others.

"Thank you all for coming, please take a seat." Said Harry.

"You're Harry Potter," said the blonde woman in shock.

"Yes, I am. It's a pleasure to meet you, all of you, your legends proceed you as well." Said Harry as the three sat.

"Now as much as I'd like to gush about what I've heard of your work, let's talk about the jobs I'm offering." Said Harry picking up two folders and handing one to the brunette Lady Croft before handing the other to Mrs. Drake.

"The job for the Drake's will be more time consuming so I'll start with Lady Croft if you don't mind." Said Harry getting nods from the Drake's.

"Countess the job I have for you shouldn't be that dangerous for one of your ability, however it is very important." Said Harry prompting her to open the folder.

"The Eye of Odin, it's real." Said the woman in surprise causing the Drake's to go wide eyed as well.

"Indeed. Contrary to the legends my grandfather didn't sacrifice it in a bid to gain wisdom. He lost in battle during the war between Asgard and Jotunheim, the Realm of the Giants. I'd like you to find and retrieve it. You are quite the famed Archaeologist so I thought this would catch your interest." Said Harry.

"It definitely does. I'll take the job." Said Lara having quickly read through the folder, though she'd do so again.

"Now the second job as I mentioned will take longer. Mr. Drake according to S.H.I.E.L.D you're the perfect person for this job. El Dorado, Shambhala, Iram and Libertalia shows you have a knack for finding lost places. There are five particular lost places connected to this realm, I just want you to find one of them. Lady Croft I'd like you to join them on this job as well, Mr. Drake has a habit of destroying places and I'd like to avoid that." Said Harry.

"Is there anyone else looking for these places?" questioned Nathan.

"Yes and no, these places are so old they pre-date everything we know about human history. My father before he was reborn as a god lived in one of these places, the village of Konoha. Since that time he and a few others reborn from that time have had a competition going to see which sponsored mortals could find the place. This group consist of nine people including my father and as of now every other sponsored team has failed. Like I said the job is to find just one of the villages. To give you some idea of what you'll be uncovering my Uncle Remus will give you a set of books, they're classified as fiction but are in truth completely true stories from my fathers time as a mortal. Read the books and once you've chosen a village you'll get a starting point. So are you interested?"

"I'm definitely intrigued." Said Nathan.

"D&F Fortunes has been doing quite well in the archaeology space, but doing this successfully will really put on the map, Mrs. Drake you can even use this opportunity to brush up on those journalism skills of yours." Said Harry.

"What's the level of danger?" questioned Elena.

"If you're not stupid and check for traps, low from what I understand. Every other team failed because they didn't check for traps, you've got more experience in this field than they had though." Said Harry.

Fenrir Greyback was growing increasingly frustrated. Things had changed significantly since the last time he was in the UK, before the damned Lycans ran them out. As much as it rankled his pride leaving had been for the best, his pack had been nearly destroyed by that point with more than he'd like to admit jumping at the chance to become Lycans. Still it had forced him to grow, he could no longer afford to be reckless or wasteful with his forces. The attack on the Dunbar party had served its purpose, he'd gotten his hands on a Hogwarts schedule and gotten to eat his fill.

The Ministry thought he was going to Hogwarts, which was par for the course for those fools to be wrong. Going to Hogwarts was suicidal and he knew it, thanks to the presence of the Founder's Heirs the wards would be at their highest level of protection meaning he'd be completely incapable of accessing the castle. That meant he'd have to make his move either in Hogsmeade Village or in the valley between the castle and the village.

Normally such tactics would be viable, but he knew the place would be crawling with aurors and even worse several Lycans called the Hogsmeade Valley and even the village itself home so once again going there would be suicide. Thankfully the schedule he'd gotten his hands on was the yearly schedule meaning he knew not just the class times, but the times the students would be in Hogsmeade, the days they'd be going home and the days they'd be taking school sanctioned trips.

Unfortunately his target was proving to be incredibly elusive. He didn't use the Floo or portkeys which meant his contacts in the Ministry couldn't track his travel. He apparently had several different living areas as well since he'd not been back to San Francisco since the attack on his home by the American Death Eater cell and had since that point been living in Avengers Tower. That was another suicide area as the last thing he wanted to deal with was that giant green rate monster they called The Hulk or worse Thor. Everyone knew Potter Manor had been destroyed some time ago so he couldn't retreat there which meant the boy was in a Black property.

He remembered that the Blacks actually kept a place close to Kings Cross, the current Lord Blacks childhood home. His employer had been able to use his own contacts inside the Ministry to get the address and he'd had his people watching the place since December. For the longest time that was looking like a dead end as well as such when he got word that the place was active a bloodthirsty smile came across his face.

'Finally I can put this ridiculous hunt to an end.'

The court-martial trial of Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross was in full swing and had been for two days already. While military trials were usually public matters, Fury had pulled some strings and gotten a Presidential order that all of Ross's records were declassified in order to find anything else he'd been hiding not just the things he'd done in the time since Bruce had become the Hulk but going back even before that. Of course Tony had also gotten in on the act and after a few calls had gotten it so that the trial would be televised and streamed.

Those in the know realized quickly that Ross had picked a fight with the Avengers and rather than fight them off the government was letting Ross deal with the consequences on his own. Already it had been revealed that Ross had violated the Geneva Conventions multiple times and as such committed several war crimes in his pursuit of creating super-soldiers. The reveal that he'd used captured terrorists in his Bio-Tech Force Enhancement Project in his first go at creating super-soldiers had rocked the courtroom and those watching the broadcast on television or online.

The presence of the Attorney General Robert Decker meant that the president was taking this seriously and as such JAG was not holding back even on a man many amongst them considered a hero before the trials began. Now even though it was only the first phase of the trial it was clear that Ross was going down, now it was just a matter of exposing all that he'd done. As day 3 of the proceedings got underway none were prepared for the fact that Lt. Colonel Steve Rogers was the first to be called up, surprising many that one he was there and secondary that Captain America wasn't actually a ranked Captain.

"Sir, we have on record that you were the one who brought General Ross's actions to the attention of General Elliot essentially kickstarting the entire process. Can you tell us how you came upon this information." Said the man.

"After Manhattan the Avengers were expected to go our separate ways, we didn't. In the following days I approached Dr. Banner as I had questions for him as I'd read his S.H.I.E.L.D file and things weren't making sense. The man that I'd met and fought alongside was nothing like the file indicated. He was non-confrontational and seemed to possess infinite patience the way he dealt with Stark. Anyway he told us the story of his accident, how he essentially became the Hulk and why Ross had been chasing him since." Said Steve.

"Accident, his file indicates that he injected himself with an experimental super soldier serum." Said Decker frowning.

"True and he was brought on to develop that serum. He never finished it however as he was redirected and placed on a team developing a Gamma Bomb which he only joined because he understood how dangerous that could be." Said Steve.

"Did he tell you the name of this project?" questioned Decker.

"Project Twilight is what he called it. Originally Ross called it Project Dominance." Said Steve.

"Why did you wait so long before going to General Elliot with this information?"

"I went to Director Fury. S.H.I.E.L.D was already aware of what Ross was actually like but according to Fury he was too connected to go directly against him. After the HYDRA situation I felt like this needed to be taken care of as well and was given the opportunity to bring it up during my meeting with General Elliot." Said Steve

When Steve was dismissed the next to be called up was General Elliot. He explained what Steve had told him regarding the interactions between the Hulk and Ross then went on to say that he'd approached General Copeland regarding what he'd learned and that together they'd decided to open the investigation. Rather than conduct an internal investigation they'd handed it to Army C.I.D (Criminal Investigation Division) and once they'd gone through the information they decided to push through with the court martial. Basically everything was done by the book and to the letter meaning there was no way to call the proceedings a farce.

They took a break after this during which time a very fast project search was run. When they returned the news was relayed that Project Dominance did exist and Bruce Banner was the lead on the project which was scrapped and buried after the accident. They even found audio logs including on the testing day where Bruce could clearly be heard telling Ross over the phone to stop the test as the containment unit weren't ready to be moved only to be ignored, the resulting explosion killed everyone but Ross, who had been offsite and Banner. After that rather startling revelation they called for another witness and Bruce Banner himself came forward.

"Doctor Banner can you tell us how you first came to work with General Ross." Said Decker

"At the time I was engaged to his daughter, Doctor Elizabeth Ross. The General approached me one day about working on Project Rebirth, trying to crack the code and create a new Captain America. At the time I didn't feel like we needed super soldiers much less another Captain America but the idea of cracking the code that no one else had been able to figure out was too tempting to resist."

"So according to the files before you were able to create a serum." Said Decker

"I was, but I was never able to test it. I do know it wasn't correct though." Said Bruce

"How so?"

"Ross used my serum on Emil Blonsky causing him to become the abomination I had to deal with in Harlem, so I can say with confidence Gamma Radiation is definitely not the secret." Said Bruce

"Speaking of can you tell us places other than Harlem where you had encounters with Ross and his men?"

Bruce did so and by the time he finished he'd named places across the globe, small towns, cities you name it. When he revealed that Ross had actually engaged him on a college campus without evacuating the place Ross found himself on the end of hostile glares all over the room.

The floo of Grimmauld Place had rarely seen use since Sirius Black had returned and claimed the mantle of Lord of House Black. In times passed it had been used quite often but the house was no longer a primary residence for anyone as those who did spend time within the place were spending most of their year now at Hogwarts both as students and teachers. Despite the lack of use it had seen the flare of green flames showed no hint of it to Penny as a figure stepped through them. That figure was one she recognized but only just, it was Professor Dumbledore though the majority of his famous beard had been cut and his usual robes had been replaced by a tailored 3-piece suit and a bow tie.

"Hello Professor, welcome to Grimmauld Place." Said Penny.

"Miss Clearwater, it is good to see you in good health." Said Dumbledore with the gentle smile he reserved for the students that had been in his care.

"This way please." Said Penny motioning him to follow.

He followed without protest, marveling internally that another rather impressive witch had slipped past his gaze. Lily Potter nee Evans had been bad enough, but to know that the Heirs of the Founders had all been in the castle and he'd not known had taken him aback. From the letters he had exchanged with Minerva he knew it was because the castle, or rather the spirit of the castle had found him wanting, unworthy of the knowledge that she contained.

It was a rather humbling thing to learn and at the time if not for the calming influence he received from Fawkes over his bond he would not have come to accept the fact that it was a result of his own actions that caused it. In seemingly no time at all they'd come to the door of the office and only a few seconds after the knock they were allowed to enter.

Stepping into the office he realized it had been decades since he'd been within its walls or in any place were he would be in a place of lesser power, where wards did not his to command. Sirius Black was sat behind the desk, the mirror image of his grandfather Arcturus in his prime and it saddened him that a man who'd been a comrade during the war with Gellert's forces had grown to mistrust him as much as he did by the end, nor was Arcturus the only one.

An immaculately dressed Remus Lupin stood behind and to the left of Sirius while young Harry sat on the couch both part of the meeting and not at the same time. The greeting he received was tense, cordial, and formal, not one that was given to a friend or ally, but not one given to an enemy which was more than he'd been expecting honestly.

"The ICW has reviewed your proposal and as things stand there is a high likelihood that it will be accepted." Said Dumbledore

"Is there anything to worry about?" questioned Sirius.

"There is a sentiment that following such a plan will give the muggles unnecessary influence over us."

"It will, but the same works in reverse. A check for both sides if you will." Said Sirius

"That is the conclusion I came to as well. It will force us to learn more about them and them to learn about us." Said Dumbledore.

"Ignorance is a problem that must be dealt with. People fear what they do not understand, give them that understanding, and the fear will begin to diminish." Said Remus.

"True but muggles are also greedy and power hungry. What they cannot claim for themselves is often considered dangerous and to be destroyed, that is what drove us into hiding in the first place." Said Dumbledore giving them both looks they'd received many times as students in their youths.

"This is a dangerous road we've been set on and I cannot help but wonder what Strange's endgame is." Said Dumbledore

"It's quite vexing having to play a part and not have all of the information you'd like isn't it." Said Sirius

"It is indeed, I fear I owe many apologies to many people, results of a curse honor requires it."

"Minerva told us you were operating under a curse but hadn't been able to tell us much else." Said Sirius.

"A final trick of Gellert's. He and I were of a like mind in our youths though quite different in our philosophies and principles. Gellert felt that any sacrifice was necessary for the Greater Good of the Wizarding World. I agreed that we should not be hiding from the muggles but be allies, he felt that we should rule them. During our final battle he placed a curse on me, a slow acting but powerful one that ensured that my actions going forward would be towards the greater good and I would see no wrong in any of it. Arcturus and Charlus both noticed the change but even they could not discern why. They saw the danger I represented to them, however and made sure to keep their distance from me.

"How'd you break the curse?" questioned Sirius.

"I didn't. I received a letter, one delivered by Fawkes by Harry Potter, Head of the DMLE. He informed me of the curse, that it affected not just me but Fawkes as well. It was at his urging that I resigned my positions as Chief Warlock and Headmaster. After a few weeks without the magical power of Hogwarts and the Round Table flowing through me the curses effects weakened and my mind cleared. Strange came to me and told me his plan to break the curse a few weeks later, something I'd have refused at any point earlier." Said Albus.

"How'd did he break it?" questioned Remus.

"He took me to a place of which I am unable to say and stopped my heart. According to him I was dead for nearly three minutes before he restarted my heart."

"That's scary." Said Harry breaking his silence.

"It is. According to him there is another more complicated way to break such curses, but it hasn't been invented yet and he would not steal the discovery of another doctor." Said Albus

Sirius was about to comment on that when he froze his head snapping to the right with his eyes widening in shock. He leapt from his seat and was at the door in seconds snatching it open.

"PENNY IN HERE NOW!"

The urgency and panic in his voice was heard by all of them which is what prompted her to run into the room from across the hall before Sirius slammed the door behind him.

"Hold on."

Before anyone could even think to comment there house was rocked by an explosion the force of which sent Penny flying into the couch pinning Harry to it which Dumbledore's chair pitched forward his head slamming into the edge of the desk. Sirius himself would have gone flying if Remus hadn't been there to catch him and both of them ended up slamming into a wall.

"…arry, Harry!" the call of his name finally roused him and had Harry looking into the concerned face of his godfather.

"What happened?" answered the boy with a groan.

"No time, I need you to take Penny and Albus back to Hogwarts. Straight to the Infirmary wing and stay there."

There was a command in his voice that he knew instinctively was Lord Black addressing his ward and heir, one he'd be unable to disobey.

"What about you?" questioned Harry.

"Moony and I will be fine. These bastards wont know what hit them."

Looking to Remus he could see his honorary uncle was absolutely furious with the entirety of his eyes now cobalt blue telling Harry he was fighting back his transformation.

"Harry go!" the words snapped him back into focus allowing him to realize Penny and Dumbledore were both in the crooks of his arms and both were unconscious the sight of which and worry for had him vanishing in a flurry of orbs.

"Alright Moony, we have uninvited guests to deal with.." Said Sirius

Standing to his feet he and his oath brother shared a look before Sirius he opened the door once more. As he stepped out of the door of the office a figure lunged at him from his right only for it to be caught in midair and held in place. Sirius regarded the figure only for a moment before his left hand came up and in a single motion of his fingers a cutting curse leapt from him and took the figures head clean off. Dropping the body carelessly he shared another look before they split with Sirius heading across the hall, through the dining room and the kitchen before entering the basement level. Neither believed he'd find any trouble down there, Kreature would kill anyone attacking the house especially if they entered that space but Sirius was heading down to restore the wards.

Remus for his part checked the ground floor and finding no other assailants headed up the stairs to the first floor. He'd barely cleared the stairwell before a figure was rushing at him with a knife and scoffing he caught their arm before breaking it with a quick palm to the elbow and using their arm and hand to stab the knife into their throat.

"2 down.' Thought Remus.

A wandless usage of the Revelio Charm showed him that there were only five more all of whom where on the next floor searching the bedrooms. Ascending the stairs he came up to an empty hallway and stopped.

"You all should know by attacking this place any mercy you may have normally received has been forfeit." Said Remus calmly, his advanced hearing detecting all movement in the rooms stopped before those inside them came out of the rooms, his eyes focusing on only one of them.

"Greyback."

"Lupin. Boys this Remus Lupin, the man responsible for the Lycan plague that ran us out of our homes." Said Greyback.

"No, that was on you. I was only four at the time, my only involvement was having the misfortune of you visiting my home, murdering my parents and biting me. I had no idea that William Corvinus would stumble upon me that night, that he would take me into his home nor seek vengeance on my behalf." Said Remus.

He felt the man coming up behind him and shifted so his attack missed, grabbed his arm to pull him in front of him and snapped his neck in but the blink of an eye.

"You think that just because you outnumber me that somehow gives an advantage? As your friend here has just belatedly realized it doesn't."

Four snarls were the only response to his words before another came at him, a larger man wearing brass knuckles with what he quickly realized were silver spikes protruding from them. At the same time another smaller man made his move leaping to the hallway wall and using it to rebound to Remus's other side. That was his intention at least, one dashed as Remus sent a cutting curse his way bisecting him at the waist causing both halves to fall to the ground.

The big man chose that moment to throw his first punch which Remus dodged before his own hand darted out causing the big man to freeze. Looking down his eyes widened seeing Remus's hand actually inside of his chest and that was as far as he got before the hand was ripped out with his heart held within it. Looking up he was not surprised to find Greyback gone, Fenrir Greyback was a coward at heart why else would he target children. Still he'd left one of his people behind and unfortunately for him Remus wouldn't allow him a quick death.

When Harry appeared within the infirmary with both Penelope Clearwater and Albus Dumbledore unconscious on top of him Poppy immediately descended upon him. Before long all three were on separate beds with screens between them and being seen to by the three staff healers. Whatever happened with Dumbledore must have been bad as he saw orbs descend in that curtained off section meaning a Whitelighter had been called in. His aunt Prue was giving him but less than two minutes after he got settled on the bed Tonks and McGonagall were suddenly there.

"Harry what happened, are you okay?" questioned McGonagall concern clear in the voice of his father's godmother.

"We were talking then there was an explosion. When I came to Sirius made me come directly here."

Tonks cursed before she spun and darted away lifting her badge to her mouth and calling for aurors to get to Grimmauld Place. His aunt must have slipped him a sleeping draught since he closed his eyes but when he opened them Hermione and Daphne were at his bedside and the room was much calmer. He had just shifted to sit up on the bed when Madam Pomfrey walked into his curtained off section and with a flick of her wand she raised the head of the bed so that he was in a reclined seated position.

"How long was I out?" questioned Harry.

"Not long, I only put you in a light sleep. You weren't hurt that badly, but it didn't hurt to check." Said his Aunt Prue.

"You just didn't want me to get up and leave." Said Harry but he smiled at her which made her relax slightly.

"I for one don't blame her, knowing you it wouldn't have taken long for you to orb out and join the fight." Said Daphne.

"I'm betting the only reason you left in the first place was that Penny and Professor Dumbledore were hurt." Said Hermione

"I can't leave, Lord Black ordered me to stay in the infirmary." Said Harry scowling.

"Good, that means he put your safety as his priority." Said Prue

"It also means Harry can't leave until he comes and personally lifts the order, the Black family magic won't allow him to disobey." Said Daphne.

At just that moment the wispy form of Sirius's dog patronus entered into the space before Sirius voice came from it.

"You can leave the infirmary once you get an all clear from a healer, but don't leave the grounds." Was all that was said before the patronus faded away.

"At least now we know their both ok." Said Hermione

"Hm, that worked." Said Harry as he felt the family magic release the hold of his prior orders before his expression turned serious.

"How's Penny?" questioned the boy.

"I can't tell you much, healer's oaths and all, but I can tell you that she will be fine." Said Prue getting Harry, Daphne and Hermione to relax.

"So were you able to take care of everything you needed to do?" questioned Hermione only to wince internally at the heated look Daphne shot her.

Daphne had been trying to drill into her head that there were some topics that shouldn't be discussed in public. Harry as an heir to several houses had a lot of business matters he would have to attend to and as she would only be the Lady of one of those houses she shouldn't ask those type of questions unless her opinion was sought after as those questions could pertain to a house that wasn't her own. She had been doing better at reining in her curiosity especially with the aid of the extra years that time compression had given her, but she was still working on it.

"Almost, I still had another meeting, but I'll have to reschedule that one most likely." Said Harry

Madam Pomfrey chose that moment to enter the area ending the conversation while she ran some tests. While his aunt was a Doctor her focus was on the mind not the body, but she knew enough to work on patients in emergencies. Apparently Harry had gotten lucky, his bone density had increased enough that while he'd hit his head quite hard the impact hadn't done any damage to his skull. His ribs were a bit sore from Penny's landing but if it had happened even as little as two months ago he'd have cracked at least one rib, maybe more. She gave him a balm to rub into the skin where it was sore and told him he would be fine in a few days.

Unfortunately Poppy wouldn't allow him to check on Penny but told him they'd let him know when she could have visitors. Stepping out of the infirmary but not leaving the wing he pulled out his Stark phone which was actually a satellite phone and not a cellular like he initially thought, meaning he could actually use it to make calls. There were only actually a few numbers programed inside it and after going through the contacts he found the one he was looking for.

To say Penny's dad was upset was an understatement, he was happy she would be okay and understanding when Harry informed him he didn't actually know what was going on since he hadn't been updated since returning to the school, but he did promise to update him once he knew what was happening or have Sirius call whenever he made it back. One thing he did learn was that the news was already reporting on it as a bomb going off but there weren't any details available, and Harry doubted there would be until the auror's completed their investigation or S.H.I.E.L.D if Sirius called them in again.

Once off the phone with Mr. Clearwater they made their way to the Great Hall for an early lunch as it was only barely 11. He ate lightly taking a piece of bread and using it to make a sub sandwich. When they were finished eating he and the girls headed down to the Chamber of Secrets where they were met by Professor Gordan. The professor was Hermione's chief instructor when it came to training with the Witchblade and had recently taking to helping Daphne train with a spear. Leaving he girls in the professor's capable hands Harry made his way into his newly created lab space, as after learning what he'd been up to Professor McGonagall wanted him in a place where people could keep an eye out most for his safety and Professor's Wong and Mordo hadn't minded looking in on him every once in a while.

His lab space was actually pretty much just an empty room at the moment. His last active project had been the magical shielding and he was now back into research mode. As such the lab currently looked more like a study as it was full of books and scrolls, his current research was on video and sound quality. His current goal was to improve the quality of the cinema and Gryffindor tower's entertainment level. Unfortunately he had to pretty much start from scratch as he needed to come up with a method that would appear to be completely magical in nature. He already knew the method by which he wanted to deliver the picture and sound, getting there was proving to be the biggest issue though it was also the fun part. Thankfully for his project his grandmother approved him borrowing from Asgard's library to work on his project, as it had information he wouldn't find in any muggle or magical source.

He'd been intending to simply sit down with one of the books that had been provided for him when he stopped short seeing someone actually standing in his space. This someone was a woman and he'd almost greeted her as a professor until she turned and he saw her face, which was not that of any of his professors. Thankfully he recognized her rather quickly so he didn't panic which in his state would have meant spells would start flying.

"Lady Athena." Said Harry in shock.

"Hello Hadrian, this is quiet the collection you have." Said the goddess.

"I can't take credit, most of it is borrowed." Said Harry.

"Indeed, there's no way you'd have gotten your hands on a book concerning Krypton's crystal technology in any library you have regular access to." Said the goddess causing his eyes to widen.

"No your spell on it hasn't failed, any mortal who sees it will still ignore it." Said the goddess causing him to relax.

"That is not why I've come to visit you. Diana tells me you are dabbling in Enchantment and have created glasses that allow you to read any language." Said Athena causing him to frown.

"I don't know about that. I designed them to read messy handwriting for my teachers, so they'd be able to understand what's written."

"Then they work better than you predicted. Regardless I'd like for you to create 120 of these glasses.." Said Athena

"And by what means did you intend to pay for such a service." Came a voice from behind causing Harry to jump in surprise his wand snapping into his hand only for him to turn and see his uncle Loki standing there.

"I am willing to bestow a blessing upon him." Said Athena.

"It would leave him as soon as he returns to Asgard." Said Loki causing her to frown thoughtfully.

"Then in what form do you propose I pay for such a service; drachma would be useless in this instance as well."

"Education, tutor him in the art of warfare, the strategic side." Said Loki

"Is this an acceptable form of payment to Hadrian?" questioned Athena.

Harry however was frozen his mind going over all that he had learned he would face in the future, the Tri-Wizard Tournament, Voldemort's guerrilla war culminating in the Battle of the Ministry, the Horcrux Hunt, the Battle of Hogwarts, the numerous battles against the muggles that culminated in the deaths of Hermione, Ron and Neville and finally the war against the demons and other dark forces after the Avengers had fallen. Unknown to him with his unguarded mind and the panic such thoughts induced in him the two gods picked up on his thoughts easily, the images coming so vividly he may as well have been screaming his thoughts. Finally he banished the thoughts and looked at the goddess.

"Yes, I'll accept such a form of payment.

Bruce sighed as he got the last of his things packed away. Things at Ross's trial had gone well and everyone could see that not only was the man's career over but he was undoubtedly looking at a lengthy prison sentence. A 5 star general had publicly apologized to him for what Ross had put him through and told him that he would make sure that his record was not only cleared but that he would receive backpay with interest for all of the time he'd spent on the run. Coulson had been there and quietly offered him the job to run S.H.I.E.L.D's science division and he'd turned him down informing him he would be leaving as he and Hulk had a few things to take care of and he might be out of contact for a while.

Steve, Tony, Clint and Thor had all wished him well as all of them knew what he would be up to as he hadn't hidden it from them. Natasha hadn't been there for the trial, she'd wished him the best after the meeting that morning but stated she had a mission she was in the middle of before she was brought there. Most everything he needed, including the books on Potions and Alchemy that Harry gifted him were packed away within bags with expansion charms that Strange had given him.

"Bruce are you ready?" came a voice breaking him from his musing.

Turning to it he was greeted to the sight of his cousin Jennifer. She had recovered well from her injuries she had her long brown hair in a ponytail with a backpack on. Standing beside her was Betty, also recovered and wearing a backpack. While they both were recovered they were not the same as before as both had inherited the powers of the Hulk. Of course there were differences Jennifer who was 5'7" shot up to 6'7" when transformed with greenish-black hair. Betty who was 5'10" was a few inches taller when transformed standing at 6'10" and had light green skin with hair that the girls claimed was tea green. Both of them were muscular in those forms with obvious enhancements to their feminine attributes as well.

"You know you two don't have to come with me." Said Bruce.

"Maybe not, but I'm going anyway. I've still got a lot to learn from you." Said Jennifer.

"I think the two of us have spent enough time apart." Said Betty.

"So you're all going then?" questioned Strange.

"Seems like it." Said Bruce.

"Very well. Just so you are all aware time moves differently where you are going. For you it will be years but only months will pass here, I wish all of you the best."

With that and a single motion he spun a portal into existence impressing both Jennifer and Betty. Nodding to strange Bruce took the hands of first Betty and then Jennifer before the three stepped through the portal and onto the surface of the planet Sakaar.
