Spider-Man: LOUD Season 2 Chapter 6

"8 plus 8"

Spider-Man flips over one of Doc Ock's arms that swung toward him, running close to the ground he tapped the side of his head once more, "Lucy come in!"

Lucy was currently laying in her bed reading a Princess Pony comic with her earbuds blasting music, unable to hear her brother's voice on the comms.

Spider-Man put up two arms in front of his face and chest to block a strike from one of the tentacles, once making contact it still makes him stumble back a bit, "Dammit!" He exclaims.

Doc Ock brings one of his tentacles from above, Spider-Man flipping out of the way and webbing it to the ground, leaping to a water tower and jumping onto Doc Ock. He cocks back his fist and punches him in the face, causing the doctor to stumble backward, off the building.

Quickly latching onto the side of the building with his tentacles, Spider-Man sticking to the side of the building after following him down.

"What do you want from me?!" The teen shouts.

"What do I want from you?" He restates, "I want you to die, to fall to the mighty hands of Doctor Octopus!"

"Who do you work for? Norman Osborn?" Spider-Man asks.

Doc Ock shoots one of his arms toward Spider-Man, the teen dodging it by side flipping across the building, "You think I'd just give away who I work for just like that?"

"Not gonna lie dude, you kinda just confirmed that you do work for Norman Osborn." Spider-Man shoots two webs in front of Doc Ock and pulls himself toward him, landing on his hands and springing up, kicking him in the face, shooting another web down and pulling himself down, cracking the older man in the face, before landing and rolling to a high spot on the building.

"What does Norman want from me?" He shouts, "Why send you after me?"

One of Doc Ock's arms flies toward the teen, catching it with both arms, his Spider-Sense goes off, looking to his left he sees another arm swinging towards him. Bracing himself, the arm hits his side, knocking him slightly off balance, wrapping his own arm around the metal tentacle to prevent it from moving, looking forward once more he sees one last tentacle coming towards him, grabbing him by the chest and pulling him towards the doctors face, Spider-Man struggling to get free.

"What do you guys want from me?" Spider-Man asks, "All I wanted to do was help people!"

"And that's exactly the problem." Doc Ock states, bringing the masked teen closer to him, "The more people you help the less money Oscorp makes. People don't need help feeling safe when you're around."

Spider-Man narrows his eyes toward the mad doctor, "So that's what this is all about? Money? Power?"

Doc Ock grins, "You should just be happy that people are safe!" Spider-Man shouts.

"You see Spider-Man, I've found you out already, you can't bear to see people get hurt." Doc Ock states.

"Not if they don't deserve it." Spider-Man grunts out.

"What about that Lucy girl?" The doctor asks, a maniacal grin spreading across his face.

The hero's lenses widened, expressing his shock, "What did you just say?"

"Don't be stupid, you think just because you're a few dozen feet away from me I can't hear you talking over your intercom?" Doc Ock boasts.

"If you so much as touch a single hair on the top of her head…I will make your life a living hell." Spider-Man threatens.

"Oh please, look at the position you're in. You've barely even been able to get past my tentacles, let alone even hit me." His grin continues, "May I remind you of our first encounter?"

Spider-Man grabs at the base of the claw, "I think I'd better show you a lesson in not underestimating your opponent!" He shouts.

With a quick flick of his wrists, the entire claw end of the tentacle holding the hero rips off, Spider-Man flips back, discarding the claw.

Doc Ock stumbles backward, a shocked expression on his face, "That's…that's not possible! These arms were built to be indestructible!" He shouts, slightly panicked at his opponent's new found power.

"Guess you gotta go back to the drawing board then…" The teen quipped.

Doc Ock grunts as he throws another one of his arms at the hero, he dodged to the side slightly. The arm scraped against his side, ripping up the fabric of his costume and causing him to bleed.

The arm caused him to spin around slightly due to the force of the hit, but once he faced the direction he was earlier he lifted his arm and shot a web at the villain, webbing him in the face. Desperately tearing the webbing off he's greeted with Spider-Man punching him in the face.

The doctor grabs Spider-Man's ankle with one of his tentacles and slams him into the side of the building before throwing him off.

Spider-Man rebounds quickly and turns around shooting two webs at Doc Ock, attaching them to his chest, he connects with the building and hops backward, yanking as hard as he could, causing the villain's tentacles to rip out of the side of the building.

Pulling Doc Ock close to him as they fell, Spider-Man landing another punch to his face, another punch to the gut, and kicked off his chest to then knee him in the chin, just before the two collided with the pavement below.

As the dust settled, the two stood up, "I…I won't let you win…" The mad doctor said exhausted.

"Too late…" Spider-Man retorted, holding his cut up side.

Doc Ock shot out one of his tentacles, grabbing the teen and throwing him down the street, Spider-Man quickly grabbed a light post and swung around, the doctor gasped in surprise and was then kicked in the chest, sending him flying back into a car, being knocked out cold.

The hero kneeled on the ground, still holding his side in pain, looking in the direction of his defeated nemesis.

"Call me an ad on an adult entertainment website…because doctors hate me." The young hero quipped.

Lucy sat on her bed, continuing her reread of the Princess Pony books. Currently on to book 14 out of 35. A huge smile on her face, wearing her comfiest pajamas that consisted of white black striped pajama pants, and a loose black long sleeve shirt.

Suddenly she heard a knock coming from her window, turning around she sees Spider-Man.

Getting up and opening her window, he climbs through, "Y'know, you could've just come through my door right?"

He takes off his mask and ruffles his hair to poof it back up, "Yeah but…that's boring."

"So, how'd your dinner with Jordan go?" She asks, holding onto the bottom hemline of her shirt, hoping for good news.

"It went well…we had dinner, talked a little…it was great. 10 out of 10 would do it again." He replied, a little out of breath.

"So…nothing happened between you two? Just…dinner and a talk?" Lucy asked, a little disappointed that her older brother didn't manage to even snag a kiss or a confession.

"No…It's gonna take time…things like this don't just happen." He replied, finally getting caught up with his breathing, "I mean, what about Silas? Anything happen between you two?"

Lucy blushes slightly and looks away, "No…we figured we'd be better off as friends…I realized a little bit ago that I'm not into goth guys…"

Lincoln cocks an eyebrow, "Huh? But you're goth."

Lucy looks back up to her brother, "Yeah but…I found out that I'm more into normies when it comes to stuff like romance…"

Lincoln pointed a finger gun to Lucy, "Like Rocky?"

"Balboa? The boxer from those movies Lynn likes?" Lucy asked, now the confused one.

Lincoln waved his hands side to side, "No no no! Rocky, Rusty's little brother. Remember?"

"Oh, him…yeah…he was alright…he was just kinda a one time crush I had. Plus he kinda disappeared after that. Never saw nor contacted each other." She said.

"That's a good point…I should really ask Rusty where he went…" The teen pondered, putting his fingers to his chin in a thinking gesture.

"I don't really think we need to worry about that right now. Besides, if Rusty hasn't worried about it, then we don't need to." The goth points out.

"True…true…" Lincoln says.

A silence falls between the two. Neither saying a word for a good minute.

"Well, I think I should head to bed. Lots of fighting crime to be done tomorrow…" Lincoln says as he walks backward toward the bedroom door, "And school…lots of school as well…"

"Yeah…you have kinda been neglecting that ever since Herman and Doc Ock showed up." His little sister responds.

"Yeah…now that they're both taken care of I can finally relax for a few days…hopefully." The white haired boy states.

"You took down Doc Ock?" Lucy asked.

"Oh yeah…just tonight actually. I was on my way home from Jordan's and he attacked me…I gave him the good ol' one two, y'know?" He joked, putting his arms up in a fighting gesture.

"Nice, so…what's next for us?" She asks.

"I don't know…just depends on what lunatic decides to destroy the city next…you can still keep me company on patrols if you want…" The teen confirms.

Lucy nods, "Good night Lincoln…"

"Night Luce." He responds.

Opening the door behind him and stepping out, slowly closing the door behind him, he takes two steps down the hall before hearing a creaking door coming from behind him.

Lana steps out of her bedroom, eyes groggy from having just woken up from her sleep.

Rubbing one eye, walking down the hallway with no one in it, she walks down the stairs to go to the kitchen to fetch a glass of water.

Lincoln is seen sticking to the ceiling above the stairs, "Note to self, change out of your costume before entering the house next time." He whispers to himself.

The next day at school a girl shuts her locker, having just retrieved her books from it. The girl had dark skin, she wore a blue hoodie and gray sweatpants, her hood over her head.

She turned to walk down the hallway before a particular red headed boy stood in front of her, "Hey Max, how's it goin?"

The girl named Max sighed, "It's going fine Chandler, now if you'll excuse me, I need to get to chem." She said, going to walk around him.

Just as she stepped to the side, so did Chandler, "Hey come on, we haven't talked in so long!"

"That's because you pick on me anytime I'm so much as in your presence…" She mumbles to herself.

"What was that Max?" The boy asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Nothing…listen, unless you actually have something to talk about, I suggest you get to class as well, the bell's about to ring any minute." She said looking down at the ground.

She attempted to side step to walk past him again, only for him to, once more, step in front of her.

"Listen Max, when I wanna talk, we talk. Okay?" He says in a commanding tone, knocking the books out of her hands and grabbing her hoodie and pulling her close to his face, "I know you love that freak Spider-Man okay? So don't go and act all high and mighty because you're in love with a freak of nature." He whispered to her, "Nobody walks away from me, when I wanna talk to em, alright Max?"

Clearly scared, she nods her head understandingly, "Good" Chandler says, throwing her to the ground, "Make sure you clean up your mess before getting to class." He mocks as he walks away from the scene of the crime.

Max sighs, crawling over to her books to pick them up, only for another hand to pick one up, looking up she sees a white haired boy lifting up one of her books and handing it to her.

Helping her up and handing her her books, he greets her, "Hey, saw that you needed some help."

"Yeah…thanks…" She says looking up at him, "Who are you?" She asks.

"Oh, sorry, I'm Lincoln Loud. And you are?" The teen replies.

"Oh, I'm Max…Max Dillion." The girl replied, hugging her books to her chest.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Max Dillion." He puts up his hand to offer a handshake.

The girl accepts and shakes his hand, he leans in slightly and whispers to her, "Hey, don't let Chandler get to you, he's been picking on me since the 5th grade."

Her eyes slightly widened, "Really? But you're so nice. At least, from what I've seen so far…why would anyone wanna pick on you?"

"Same reason he bullies anyone here, he sees certain people as easy targets, and being nice to people to him means you're a pushover." The white haired teen replied.

"Oh…I'm sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." She said, looking down slightly.

"Don't be, I've had a great friend group to help me get through it.." He says.

A slight moment of silence passes between the two teens, before Lincoln's eyes light up, "Speaking of my friends, would you maybe wanna have lunch with us today?"

The girl is flabbergasted, "I…um…yeah, I wouldn't mind having some company for once…" She says nervously.

"Cool, I'll meet you in the cafeteria at lunch then!" Lincoln starts to walk backward, waving goodbye at the girl.

The girl waves back at him, before he turns around and sprints down the hall to catch his next class.

She stands there for a little bit, her mind still going over what just happened, before the bell rang, snapping her out of her daydreaming.
