High up in the mountains lie two villages born from very different creatures. I'll first look to the Village of Light. The Village of Light was made around the Legendary Xerneus. This village is considered the more civil of the two. They do not worship their god nearly as much as the Village of Darkness. More to come on them later on in this explanation.
The Village of Darkness is a village based around the Legendary Yveltal. This was the origin point of Yveltal since the beginning of time itself. Yeveltal was once free and able to move to various corners of the world as he pleased but after the events that went down on the Water Continent in 2001, he has since been locked away and confined to the village in a dormant state. All of the Society leaders had come to a mutual agreement to keep him here and in that state for as long as possible to avoid another catastrophic event.
Over the years certain types have flocked to the Village of Light and the Village of Darkness. The types that came to inhabit the Village of Light were those that resembled light and life, such as grass, water, and fire types. The Village of Darkness attracted those of hate and supernatural force. Exclusively housing dark, steel, and electric types.
Now you may be wondering what significance Xerneus has in being in the Village of Light. Xerneus is also in a dormant state but is still suppressed as much as Yveltal is. So what Gives?
Back in the year 1873, a great war broke out between these two. They battled for years, never wearing down. They stayed in the Fierce Range area, occasionally bringing the fight to forests and plains, but rarely. That's when the REDACTED stepped in and released Zygaurde. With it released, it broke the fight up and the two legendaries were moved by REDACTED to the villages that are known today. Back then there was nothing to keep another fight from breaking out. So in 2000, Yveltal escaped the area, secretly working with dark matter till 2001, when they acted on their attack.
Since then REDACTED has made it so the legends contained within the villages and the inhabitants are unable to leave the villages. Due to this, the Borealis Guild has set up supply teams full of normal types that are considered neutral to the village's inhabitants. Each supply is to be sent out every two days, failure to deliver within a day of the expected delivery will result in termination of guild status and a black listing from re-joining. This is an important job, and we at the Borealis Guild and REDACTED have taken a no-risk policy on this matter. Therefore these motives are in place to ensure Guild members get the job done In a timely manner that does not cause aggravation to the members of the Villages.
