AN: Hey guys. Just some short story. So as I was browsing through 23jk's DG and saw one of her RokuKai ship DG and thought to myself…"yeah why the heck not, Imma make one lol" and decide to write this short RokuShi fanfic. Also, I don't want you guys getting bored with the lack of story content in my Fanfic page too. Originally, I was thinking of incorporating the DG idea of the RokuKai ship in my Just You and Me SoKai story, but didn't end up fitting. So, I ended up with RokuShi instead. Enjoy guys!

PS: this takes place after my M rated RokuShi story, "The Nobody and the Puppet".

Roxas and Xion were walking along the streets of Corona. They were having their tryouts or fake "dates". They want to try and experience what a romantic date is like before they move on to the more real thing. The former nobody and puppet were still inexperienced with love. It made the others laugh at how cute it is and how cute they are. Coincidentally. the kingdom of Corona was having yet another lantern festival. Sora and Kairi urged the Roxas and Xion to see them. Sora also said that this was good for their tryout or fake dates. After taking the Gummiship with Axel driving the ship and dropping them off at Corona they were began to go around town.

"Roxas! Look!"

"Yeah?"

"It's little plushies! They're so cute!"

"Yeah."

"This one reminds me of you."

"Wait, really?!"

"Of course!"

Hours went by and before long, the sky grew a bit dark. It was time for the people of Corona to raise the lanterns.

"Roxas?"

"Hmm?"

Xion said nothing as she held Roxas' hand while intertwining her fingers with his. "Let's go."

Roxas smiled and nodded. "Of course. Where do you want to go to see the lanterns?"

"I'd say, the docks?"

"Sure."

The two began to walk to the docks hand in hand.

"Your…hands feel…warm Roxas."

"It is?"

"Yeah."

"I'm gonna make it warmer?"

"Hmm?"

Roxas then brough Xion's hand up to his face and kissed it, making Xion's cheeks flushed red. For a fake "date" this was quite an intense one. Finally, they arrived at the docks as they stared at the beautiful sky with the beautiful lanterns. Minutes then turned to hours.

"I gotta say, this place? It's really nice, great even," Roxas said. "I never thought going to the docks is a good place to see the lanterns."

"Yup!"

"I'd say, this is the best place to finally end our "date" for the day."

"Hmm…definitely. I enjoyed going on this "date" with you Roxas. We should do this again."

Roxas smiled. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind going on another one. It's gonna be a real one in the next."

"Our tryout and fake date isn't enough Roxy-poo?"

"Well, it was. I-wait…what did you call me?"

"Roxy-poo? Do you like it?"

Roxas' cheeks flushed red. "It's cute, Xi-xi. You know, this "date" of ours just made me realize even further that you're…" Roxas paused himself as he looked at Xion. What is he gonna say? Beautiful? Spectacular? "Pretty cool…no wait…pretty…awesome?"

Now it was Xion's turn to blush but smiled. She got one of her tip-toe and…kissed Roxas in the cheeks and…then the lips?! The former nobody widened his eyes in complete surprise. The new couple blushed even madly.

"You're…pretty awesome as well Roxas."

Roxas' surprised expression turned to a smile. "Awesome…"

"Like our kiss?"

Roxas laughed. "Yeah. You know, we could have saved that for our real date."

"Well, call this a warm-up then."

Roxas and Xion laughed as they continue staring at the beautiful lantern sky.

"You want to know one thing?" Roxas asked.

"What is it?"

"The lanterns…aren't as beautiful as you, Xion."
