Lulu's POV

December 2008

Today was the day I was finally leaving this hell hole, I'd spent almost six months in Shadybrooke I was beyond ready to leave and get back to my normal life. They hadn't even let me go to the trial, I hadn't seen Johnny in about a month. Maxie had stopped by to see me almost every day, she had said that Johnny was doing okay. I understood that he might need space after everything that happened, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to be with me at all. I had put Johnny through a lot, he was definitely more than I deserved. Honestly, Maxie was the only constant in my life. Nikolas was my guardian but, Lucky and Nikolas hadn't really spent much time with me. I guess I was too crazy for them. My mother had passed away while I was in here, I had missed the funeral. I'm sure my dad was a wreck, I understood it's not that my dad didn't want to see me...it was hard for him to be here. I heard the door to my room open, I looked up and was shell shocked.

"JOHNNY?" I gasped surprised to see him, I couldn't stop myself from rushing into his arms. Johnny immediately wrapped me in his arms, kissing the top of my head.

"You have no idea how much I've thought about you. I'm so glad to see you, baby girl." Johnny pulled back to look at her.

"It's...our first Christmas together. That is, if we're still...us." Lulu wasn't sure what they were.

"Of course we are. I would have been by but, Claudia and Nikolas had different plans. I was held hostage for months, it was crazy. I have a newfound respect for Morgan. Jason's the only reason I'm here right now." Johnny sighed, Lulu noticed he looked exhausted.

"I can't believe they went that far...I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Lulu touched his face.

"I'm okay, we're together again despite everything meant to tear us apart. You're who I'm meant to be with, I love you more than ever. Let's get you out of here." Johnny smiled grabbing her hand as they walked out of Shadybrooke.

"I can't believe your sister was okay with you being held hostage. I thought better of Claudia. I know she hates me but, damn." Lulu muses, as Johnny opened the car door for her.

"Nobody was more shocked than me, but Claudia showed me her true colors. I don't want anything to do with my family, they took away my apartment trying to get me back. I'm not going back, though. I can't forget what they did to me." Johnny shakes his head, starting up the mustang.

"I'm never speaking to Nikolas again, I wonder if Lucky knew. Are you sure you want to walk away? I understand but, it's going to be hard because I know that your used to having a different lifestyle." Lulu wanted to make sure this is what Johnny really wanted.

"I know it's not going to be easy but, I want us. Your dad's opening The Haunted Star up again...he asked me to be his partner. I said yes. No, Lucky had no idea. Your dad didn't know until Jason found me. Maxie bought an apartment, she told me that if you go half on the rent you had a place with her." Johnny wanted to make sure Lulu knew everything.

"I'm really proud of you Johnny, you've come a long way since we first met. That's great, I'm so happy my dad helped you out. I wonder what Lucky thought about it. I can definitely go half on rent, that was really cool of Maxie.' Lulu was excited to start this new chapter of her life.

"I'm just trying to be a better man for you, Lulu. This is going to be a new start for both of us. I'm not sure what he thought, you'd have to ask him. I never thought the three of us would be friends but, things change. Let's go, your dad really wants to see you." Johnny smiled, driving over to the Spencer house.

"Aunt Lulu!!!" Jake Spencer yells meeting them in the driveway, Lulu scooped the young boy into her arms and hugged him.

"Jakey! I'm so happy to see you!" Lulu gushed, setting him down.

"You must be Lulu, I'm psyched to finally meet you." Lulu heard an unmistakable Australian voice call from the porch, she saw a male with a ponytail walking towards her.

"You look like trouble." Lulu chuckled, glancing at him.

"About as much trouble as Zacchara. I'm Ethan Lovett, while you were in Shadybrooke I discovered Luke was my father. So, welcome home sis." Ethan smirked as Lulu's mouth dropped open.

"Holly is your mother?? Omg, I have a new brother!!! It's so good to meet you!" Lulu gasped excitement bubbling up inside of her.

"Yeah, Holly's my mum. We really aren't that close but, she's still my mother. It's good to meet you, too." Ethan says, surprised that she hugged him.

"Lulu is very loving and welcoming." Johnny chuckled at his surprise.

"Yeah, Lovett and I have gotten to know each other pretty well. I think you two will get along." Johnny pats Lulu's shoulder, as she rejoined his side.

"Where's my dad? Is he doing okay? I know that he has to be hurting since Mom died...it tears me up that I couldn't go to her funeral." Lulu bit her lower lip, just thinking of Laura made her want to cry.

"I'm okay cupcake, better now that you're here." Luke Spencer stepped out on the porch, smiling with pride at his only daughter.

"Are you sure? I know Mom meant a lot to you, you can tell me and be honest with me. I won't judge you. Oh, I've really missed you dad! I'm giving you a hug!" Lulu rushed up the porch, throwing her arms around Luke.

" You're the best medicine there is, cupcake. You did one thing your mom could never seem to shake...you went to Shadybrooke and came back. I know you're mother wanted to but, I guess it wasn't in the cards. I know you were cheated out of time with Laura, for the record she loved you very much. Laura... would have loved to raise, you were our miracle. Never think that we didn't love you, because you and cowboy were our world." Luke got emotional as he pulled back to look at his daughter, tears lightly gathering in his eyes but he wouldn't let them fall.

"It...makes me upset that they wouldn't let me attend her funeral. I know you think you're a bad father for jetting off when Mom got sick but, nothing could be further from the truth. I couldn't have asked for a better dad." Lulu glanced back at him, they weren't the emotional type but this conversation needed to be had.

Johnny's POV

"They seem like a very loving bunch, I'm glad Holly told me the truth when she did. It's been great getting to know Luke and Lucky, I can't say I care much for Sir Cassadine but hopefully I won't have to see him much. I'm looking forward to getting to know Lulu better, I've always wanted a sister. Hell, I've always wanted a family. Holly pretty much abandoned me from the time I was little, she just threw me in foster care. The system didn't care about my well being, my foster family hated my guts...but I survived. If anything it toughed me up but, it would have been nice to grow up with lucky and Lulu." Ethan mused, we stood in the driveway talking deciding to give Luke and Lulu time to catch up.

"They are, Luke's great. Lucky doesn't care much for me but, I understand why. Lucky's just trying to protect his sister, I get it. I thought Nikolas was cool at first but, then he held me hostage for three months. I can't believe my sister knew and didn't do or say anything to stop it. I mean, do Claudia and Nikolas really hate the idea of us being together so bad that they just turn on their siblings? I literally do not get it. You and Lulu will get along, I know you will. Lulu's an amazing woman, she wears her heart on her sleeve and tries to see the good in everyone. I love Lulu to death, I'd die for her. I'm sorry about that man, my childhood was rough too. It's been great getting to know you, after what Nikolas did I really needed a friend." Johnny and Ethan had been getting to know each other ever since he'd been freed from the clutches of Nikolas Cassadine.

"Lucky can be overprotective I've noticed that about him but, it's because he cares. I'm still in shock about that whole situation, I just don't understand it mate. Lulu seems great, you seem to really love her. I hope that I can find that one day, I don't think I'm quite out of my playboy phase yet." Ethan nodded along with his words.

"She's out there man, the right one will come along when you least expect it." Johnny assured him, with a smile Lulu walks back over to the two men.

"I see you two have been talking?" Lulu rose one blonde brow.
