"Silverkit! Silverkit! SILVERKIT WAKE UP!" she could hear Fawnkit yowling in the distance. Silverkit slowly got up on her paws and trotted towards her littermates, Fawnkit and Twigkit. "Why did you wake me up! I was dreaming about being an apprentice and catching prey!" Silverkit mewed, annoyed by their disturbance. Twigkit rolled his eyes, "You don't need to dream of becoming an apprentice anymore! We are going to be apprentices tomorrow." Silverkit felt like her heart had skipped a beat, she had totally forgot that the apprentice ceremony was tomorrow.

"Why don't we go into the apprentice's den! We can get used to our new den!" Fawnkit announced.

Silverkit, Twigkit, and Fawnkit raced to the entrance to the apprentice's den and as they got there, they saw the two apprentices coming out of the den, Stonepaw and Mudpaw. Stonepaw looked at them with a confused expression on his face and Mudpaw snorted as he said "let me guess, you want to explore our den." he flicked his tail " haven't you already seen it?" Silverkit's fur stood on end as she snapped "It's gonna be my den too, starting tomorrow, THANK YOU VERY MUCH." Mudpaw just glared at her, clearly he didn't expect her to get that annoyed, but then again what else would she say? Luckily Stonepaw was there to break up the tension as he stood between us. "Come on Mudpaw, we have to go to the training hollow, Cloudfrost and Mossfoot will be waiting for us there," he mewed. Mudpaw looked alarmed, he really didn't want to get in trouble with Cloudfrost. "Okay…" He mumbled as he and Stonepaw walked out of camp.

Fawnkit suddenly leapt forward. "Come on, let's go!" she meowed. Silverkit and her littermates ran into the apprentice's den excitedly. I hope Stonepaw and Mudpaw haven't claimed the middle yet. "I call the middle!" Silverkit meowed. "Stonepaw and Mudpaw are already sleeping in the middle," Twigkit pointed out. Both Fawnkit and Silverkit had just realized the moss in the middle of the den, "Come on" Fawnkit's words echoed Silverkit's own thoughts. Twigkit padded over to the corner of the den, not paying attention to the two littermates complaining. "This looks like a good place to make a nest." he mewed. Fawnkit glared at him, "Why do you have to be so boring," she sniffed.

"Fawnkit! Silverkit! Twigkit! What are you doing!? I have been looking for you." Silverkit heard Finchtail yowling from outside the den. I don't want to take a nap, Silverkit thought as Finchtail stormed into the den. "Come on" Finchtail hissed as she picked up the now protesting Fawnkit and Silverkit and Twigkit were chasing after her. "No! I'm not going to take a nap. We are going to be apprentices tomorrow! We shouldn't take naps anymore." Fawnkit meowed. Finchtail suddenly started mrrowing in amusement. The three kits looked at their laughing mother with confusion. "You kits are so funny! Your apprentice ceremony is today! I need to wash you before it happens so you look like apprentices." Finchtail mrrowed.

Silverkit and her littermates were more cooperative after their mother said that. I can't believe we thought it was yesterday! Silverkit thought. Fawnkit and Twigkit were whispering about it behind her.

"Let all cats old enough to hunt gather around the ledge!" Swiftstar yowled from atop the ledge. Finchtail started licking them furiously, but Silverkit had other plans. "Hurry up!" she mewed as she raced to the dark ledge. "Fawnkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Fawnpaw. Your mentor will be Thornleaf. I hope Thornleaf will pass down all she knows on to you. Thornleaf, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Oaktail, and you have shown yourself to be brave and loyal. You will be the mentor of Fawnpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." Fawnpaw looked at Thornleaf excitedly and then touched noses with her.

"Silverkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw. Your mentor will be Dewclaw. I hope Dewclaw will pass down all he knows on to you. Dewclaw, you are ready to take on another apprentice. You have trained Mossfoot and you have shown yourself to be passionate and clever. You will be the mentor of Silverpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Silverpaw." Silverpaw padded up to Dewclaw as he touched noses with her " I expect you to do great things," he whispered.

"Twigkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Twigpaw. Your mentor will be Ivyheart. I hope Ivyheart will pass down all she knows on to you. Ivyheart, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Frogfoot, and you have shown yourself to be cunning and strong. You will be the mentor of Twigpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." Twigpaw then touched noses with Ivyheart.

"Fawnpaw! Silverpaw! Twigpaw! Fawnpaw! Silverpaw! Twigpaw!" The clan called out their new names and she was soon surrounded by her congratulating clanmates. As she looked over all the warriors and saw Amberpaw, Stonepaw and Mudpaw's littermate, staring at her. What is she thinking, Silverpaw thought, but her thoughts disappeared when Fawnpaw and Twigpaw came up to her and they congratulated eachother. Whatever, it's probably nothing, Silverpaw decided as she padded away to her new den to take a good long nap.
