35. The Duel Of Fate

Two kids were playing around in an old styled room, filled with action figures, comic books, a couple of Duel Monsters cards scattered around with decks that could be played for generations, a couple of DVDs filled with old styled shows like Ben 10 Classic, Teen Titans, the old Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry and a couple of old nostalgic anime like Pokemon.

But right now, the two kids were playing around with action figures with some being Ironman, Diamond Head and Superman, with the citizens being Lego characters.

One of the boys had long flowing white hair for someone so young with ocean blue eyes with a white jacket, red shirt and blue pants while the other had dark brown eyes and two shades of brown hair wearing a brown shirt and gray pants.

Their names were Aster Phoenix and Jaden Yuki and they were best friends ever since they were young when Aster's dad, Sean Phoenix, and Jaden's parents, Kenn and Jana Yuki, were friends before they were even born, so it was a decent idea for them to hang out and it was working really well.

And now, they were playing around, like any kids would, with one being the hero (Aster with his Diamond Head toy) and the other the villain (Jaden with his Superman toy), with the other being down for the count, the Ironman toy.

Jaden laughed like any type of villain would in a show, "Bwahaha! It's too late Diamond boy, your buddy Ironguy is down for the count! How are you going to beat me? My powers are through the roof" said Jaden as any two 5 year olds, they were creating the greatest Lore and story of all time full with twists and turns.

An hour before this, Diamond Head was betrayed by his best friend Raven and had to defeat his rival, Vegeta, but was thankfully saved by his sidekick Buster Blader as he and Vegeta were currently fighting.

"You are forgetting one thing, traitor! I have something you don't have!" Yelled Aster as he made his toy point at Superman.

"And that is?" Jaden wished the toy could move their eyebrows.

"The power of friendship! And while I know my junior is having a hard time with my rival, I know that he will win in the end!" Aster made his toy roar in power.

"Hah! Let's see how they handle this!" Jaden made some pew pew noises to indicate that lasers are coming out.

"You dummy!" Said Aster as he made noises that indicate that they bounced off of him. "Diamonds are immune to lasers so they bounce from me."

"Well, let's see how you like this!" Yelled Jaden as he flew his toy at Aster's as like they punched each other, but the toy didn't move.

"Heh." Aster and Diamond Head said as they smirked.

"How?! I have infinite strength!" Yelled Jaden.

"Well, I have infinite durability." He said simply.

"Wha- that is cheating!" He said, "you are cheating!"

"Nuh uh."

"What do you mean nuh uh?! You are cheating!"

"Am not!"

"Am too!"

While the two were playing with their toys and arguing if the other is cheating, Sean, Kenn and Jana peaked from the door to see how they are doing and smiled as they saw their usual shenanigans with Aster cheating his way out of situations and Jaden trying to prove that he is cheating.

But they knew that they would patch things up at the end, as they know that this friendship will forever las-

"Jay!"

"Jaden!"

"Earth to Jaden!"

"Hello, Coach J?! Are you in there?"

Jaden shook his head as he heard his friends trying to get his attention for the past minute or so. "Ahh, sorry guys, what's up?"

"What's up?! Jaden, you were blanking for the past 2 minutes!" yelled Celina as the boy's eyes widened for a short while, "What on Earth made you space out for two whole minutes?!" Celina asked.

Jaden rubbed the back of his head, "Oh nothing much, just… remembering something that I forgot." he said as he didn't really want to say what he really meant by that. They looked at him weirdly.

For some reason, after he heard that Aster Phoenix and Zane Truesdale are going to duel tonight, he began spacing out more and more, which confused them to no end, but maybe it was a good thing? They weren't sure.

It was a morning, a few hours before the duel between the Kaiser of Duel Academy and the duelist prodigy, and they had two important things to talk about and which was the reason why they had to get Jaden's attention.

The first is that Chazz' mini mansion was finally built today. As it turns out, the work for them to build the mini mansion that he specifically wanted was actually quicker than usual and it mainly was due to Chazz giving them an unusual amount of money that was a tad bit too much, but they did not complain, whatsoever. They were just more interested to know if they would get a promotion if they finished a few weeks before, which they did. Hoo boy they did.

Now the entrance was actually pretty dang interesting, and really big. The main room had two layers of room, with the top part being there for extra space and to hang some pictures and even a full own couch, with railing so no one could fall over and having a staircase so they could walk down.

The down part was much bigger than the top part, as it had a large floor with really good wood so they could stand on, a round black and green carpet, with a couple of couches and a large TV that was currently playing a game of football with the three popular football players known as Striker, Dempsey and Donovan Crossit.

And they are not even finished, as there were: a couple of guest rooms so they could sleep there if needed, a spa so people could use to ease up their muscles and they can relax, a bowling alley which Skye was excited because she liked bowling, a vending machine like the one that was inside of the building inside of Duel Academy and more. So, so much more.

"How much did this all cost?" asked Yusuke as all of them looked at Chazz.

"More than almost all of you could ever earn." said Chazz as he smirked when he said that.

"More importantly, how did you pay for all of this?" asked Sora as he was eating a chocolate bar that he was holding for about a week in his pockets.

"Two words: Credit. Card." he said as every second year 'ahh'ed.

"Knowing you, you probably stole it." said Skye.

"You have no idea," said Alexis.

Meanwhile, Slade was trying his hardest not to slap a customer as he was on the phone with them for over 2 hours. "Listen, I just don't know why it isn't working alright?! We are just as confused as you are!" he said.

Ever since he and Jagger were defeated by Chazz and were beaten up by his monsters, not to mention the divorce of his parents, Slade and Jagger were forced to work at customer service for their phones.

"Big brother! I have terrible news, again!" yelled Jagger.

"What is it this time?!" he yelled as Jagger showed the email.

"WHAT?! Who the flying FUCK bought a mansion with my credit card!?" yelled Slade as he had enough power to punch down to destroy an entire army of angels and destroy a Time God with it.

His eyes then widened.

"OH THAT MOTHERFUC-"

Chazz then remembered something important. He looked over to his pocket to see if he had forgotten something and then saw the spare keys which was enough for everyone to use, sans Syrus.

"What is this, son?" asked Hassleberry as he took the key from Chazz's hands.

"These are spare keys, Dino brain, so you could use them whenever you would like." he said as Bastion wanted to know something.

"Say, how are you going to hide your key if you aren't in there?" The Golden Eggwich Of Ra asked as Chazz looked at him like he said the stupidest thing imaginable. And he is dormmates with Jaden.

"Behind a plant or under a rock, idiot." he said as he shook his head.

"Hey, how come I don't have one?" asked the new Ra Yellow, Syrus.

"Because I don't like you, simple as that." he said simply.

"Alright, I think it is time to stop beating around the bush and say what is on everyone's mind," said Celina as she then turned everyone's attention to Skye and Alexis, "Why are you guys moving here so early?"

What Celina asked wasn't a bad question at all, as they see both Alexis and Skye holding on suitcases which they were originally thinking about going to Celina's room, but the idea has changed since it was the day that the mini mansion was complete.

Skye turned to Alexis as the latter sighed, "Well, Chancellor Crowler had an idea after your duel with Reginald, Syrus," the new Ra Yellow nodded, "and it was an idea to use us for a duel, but with a certain twist."

"What twist?" asked Ray with his eyebrows raised.

Skye opened her mouth, but closed it. "I am sorry, I don't know how to explain it."

"It's okay. It is better to show it rather than explain, I assume." said Alexis. Everyone else looked at them in confusion, but their expressions turned comical.

They were dresses, for Alexis it was red, but for Skye it was blue.

"Uhm… pardon?" asked Bastion as he didn't know what to say at this current situation.

"That's right, he wants us to duel with dresses on with them, so they would 'appeal' to everyone's eyes. I wish I was making this up." said Alexis as they looked at them with shock.

"Wow, I lost all of my remaining respect for that clown." said Chazz as everyone agreed with him, even Syrus.

"Yeah, not to mention, he wanted to sing during the entire crowd." their mouths dropped as they looked at Skye in shock, "I mean, I love singing as much as the next person, but even I think that is too much, during a duel of all places."

"Wow, can you imagine the imagery?" asked Hassleberry as Yusuke began to imagine Alexis wearing that red dress during a duel as she began to sing. He blushed as he looked away.

"Oh come on, Yusuke, we know she can't carry a tune." said Bastion.

SLAP!

Alexis slapped Bastion so hard that it left a mark on his cheek as he fell down on the floor.

"Overreaction, much?" asked Celina as she was shocked to see her friend doing that action to another.

"Like you are one to talk." mumbled Syrus.

SMACK!

Celina slammed her fist on Syrus' skull so hard that he was down on the floor with a massive bump on his head.

"Any other boys have opinions on our singing?" asked Skye as Alexis and Celina looked at them with clear murderous intent. The rest of the boys, sans Jaden, backed off as they held their hands to show that they aren't messing with them.

Jaden, the lone fearless man, said, "Oh come on, he can't be serious. You guys are right, I mean, who would like to see you in that, anyway?" asked Jaden as they all looked at him with shock.

"Uhhh, thanks?" said Alexis as Skye saw Pharaoh in the building and her attention was on it the entire time.

"Real ladies man," said Sora.

"Real smooth." said Chazz as the former Final Keeper looked at them in confusion.

"Anyways, Chazz, is it cool if we sleep here for some time? Not to bother you or anything, but we just know if you are alright with that?" she asked as the former Princeton nodded.

"Yeah sure, you can crash here, free of charge for anyone other than shortstack." he said with a smile.

"I am right here, y'know." Syrus said, but he was ignored again.

"Really? Thanks, Chazz!" she said. "Right, Skye?... Skye?" she said as they all turned their attention to Skye who was looking at the cute fat cat.

"Oh my god, he is so cute! What is his name? He is so puggy! I love him so much!" Skye said as she approached Pharaoh with no fear.

"Hah! Good luck there, buddy," said Celina, "But you need a lot of luck to get him to like right away! Trust me, it took me a ye-"

Pharaoh placed his head around Skye's hand as she began petting the brown cat. Everyone could hear glass break as Celina's face was now white as a ghost as she fell on her knees.

Meanwhile, two boys were in their dorm in Domino City going to a regular high school that wasn't Duel Academy as they shared a dorm so they could save money. One was looking at his phone while the other was on his bed.

"Hey, Theodore?" asked the blue haired boy.

"Yeah, Yusaku? What is it?" asked Theodore as he turned to his best friend.

"Do you think Skye is with other guys right now?" asked Yusaku as Theodore looked at him in confusion.

"Bro, how could you say that so casually?" the silver-red haired boy turned to his best friend.

"I mean, she is with other guys on an island, so it could be possible." he said as they both feel their phones vibrating.

Theodore looked at it and saw at least 10 photos of a fat cat saying things like "Le Chonk.", "I highly doubt that."

With Sheppard

Sheppard was currently taking a massive breather as he went through a massive hike through the Arctic that was known as North Academy for a certain project of his. Currently, the thing was working as he got a couple of new Pro Duelists coming in such as The Gore, which was a fantastic thing.

He did went to other Duel Academies, but Marik, Bakura and Viper all denied his request of sending their best duelists, Jim Crocodile Cook, Adrian Gecko and Axel Brodie respectfully since they are all busy with their school work, while he couldn't contact Leo Akaba if his son, Declan Akaba, could join in, which was a shame.

There was an upside. He did hear that Marik Ishtar was interested in having a school duel with his best duelist as they think that it would be interesting for them to duel Duel Academy instead of North Academy previously, which he did agree on.

But right now, he was in North Academy, "Take a break, my friend, I know this place is hard to get through, but you could've just asked me to get a submarine to get to you," said Foster as his best student, Jesse Anderson, was standing there with a worried expression.

"I know, but I wanted to make a surprise, you know? This is really important." said Sheppard as Foster looked at him and sighed.

"Well, mistah, with all due respect, frankly, that wasn't a wise choice." said Jesse as he crossed his arms.

"I know, I know, still this is interesting to know and it could be good for you Jesse." he said as Jesse widened his eyes.

"Really, how so?!" he yelled with stars in his eyes.

"Well, I will say it, but can you get me something to drink, I have been dying of thirst." he said as he scratched his throat. Jesse looked at Foster, who nodded at his friend request.

"Sure thing, mistah! One ice tea, coming your way!" Jesse yelled as he ran out of the house and towards a shop for the ice tea.

Sheppard chuckled as Jesse did remind him of a certain student that defeated Kagemaru in a duel, "He is a quite energetic fellow."

Foster chuckled, "He is, isn't he?" he asked as he snickered to himself as he looked at his friend, "Did you know that he can't stop talking about Chazz lately?"

Sheppard looked at him, "Really?"

"Yeah, I mean, he is talking to him on the phone at least once a week and talks about him a couple of times a week, and every time he does, it feels as due it is always with enthusiasm like a child talking about a superhero he loves." said Foster as Sheppard was surprised to hear that.

Now that he thinks about it, whenever he hears him talking to Jesse, it is always with more respect than he does with almost any other person that isn't Kite. Which is interesting to him.

"Well, I have to ask this question." Foster looked at his friend, "Remember the project I couldn't stop talking about when I was younger? The GX tournament?"

Foster nodded, "Yeah, it was an event when you want new duelists coming in, even a couple of students duel each other with medals and the last one standing gets any wish they desire, why?" he asked as he wanted to join him on this journey, but he was too busy with studying.

"Well," Sheppard chuckled, "I was thinking about doing it this year." Foster's eyes widened.

"You are kidding."

"I am not an old friend! And I want to have as many great and popular duelists as there are!" He said, "And I came here to ask if your best duelist, Jesse Anderson, would like to join this event."

"Are you kidding, Sheppard?! Knowing him, that is an instant yes and before you ask, yes! I approve of this! I want him to make us proud!" he yelled as he knew that even if Jesse loses, which he doubts, he knows that he will make it a worthy challenge.

"Great! Oh, and I wanted to inform you that your school won't be a part of the school duel." he said as Foster looked at him in confusion. "Marik said that he wanted to try this out, at least for a year, so I thought why not?"

"Ahh, I understand. I guess this will make Jesse finally hit the books." he said as Jesse walked in with an ice tea.

Jesse didn't ask about him hitting the books, but he did walk towards Sheppard, "One ice tea for you, mistah!" he said as he handed him the ice tea.

Sheppard nodded, "Thank you." Jesse nodded.

"Don't mention it." he said as he walked to Foster, "Now, what was it with me and something important?" he asked as Sheppard smiled at him.

"Well, there is an event I was thinking about for years, and with the permission of Seto Kaiba, I can finally make it come true," he said as he took out the GX medal, "Jesse Anderson, I was wondering. Will you be a part of this event?" That question shocked Jesse, but he continued.

"This will have popular duelists from all over the world, of all ages and even students like you, all in Duel Academy, dueling to their heart's content with the winner getting their wish come true, granted being something plausible. So will you be a part of this event?" he asked as Jesse was quiet.

This was weird for both of them as seeing him quiet, until he looked at both of them with stars in his eyes like he was Asta, "OF COURSE! I WOULD LOVE TO!" he said as he took the GX Medal, "This will be so fun! And I get to finally see Chazzy!" he said with a huge grin on his face.

"That's great to hear." said Foster he then saw Jesse running out the house, yelling to everyone about this event. They sweatdropped about this. "Well that happened." Sheppard nodded.

"Yeah, well, time for me to go," said Sheppard as he stood up.

"Hold on, don't go just yet friend," Sheppard looked at Foster, "You did come here exhausted, so rest until tomorrow, okay? I will use my submarine for tomorrow, so rest." he said as Sheppard nodded.

"Alright, I will." he said, "Hey, Zane is dueling Aster tonight, right?" he asked as Foster nodded.

"Yeah?"

"I was wondering, can we watch this duel tonight while I am staying here?" he asked as Foster laughed.

"Oh that? Don't worry my friend, Lucien is already setting up the projector while Clint is setting up the snacks." he said as Sheppard smiled.

"That's good to know," he said.

INTRO!

A bird was seen flying above the dark blue ocean of an island as it was going faster and faster.

Until we shatter the road of light and darkness

The bird flew higher and higher as it went upwards revealing the island to be Duel Academy as Jaden, Celina, Syrus, Chazz, Bastion, Alexis and Yusuke were standing on the cliff staring at the island.

Then a brief montage of their ace monsters appeared on the screen one by one as they were: Elemental HERO Flame Wingman, Lunalight Cat Dancer, Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill, Armed Dragon LV10, Water Dragon, Cyber Angel Amaterasu and Honest.

Yo guess who's back, everybody get down!

As then a brief montage appeared of a white background and black figures. The figures quickly revealed themselves to be: Bastion, Yusuke, Chazz, Alexis, Syrus, Kite, Dennis…

…Hassleberry, Sora Perse, Ray, Skye…

Hey, step up! step up!

…Zane and Celina, as then we get a close up shot at Jaden whose eyes turned to amber for a slight second as Aster Phoenix briefly shined in his eye.

As then a title card appeared by the name of "Yugioh GX: Rewrite - The Society of Light!" as series of moments appeared from the previous year, like Zane defeating Jaden, Syrus defeating the Tyler Sisters, Celina and Alexis dueling Jaden and Bastion, Chazz standing tall ahead of Jaden, Zane defeating Nightshroud, Celina defeating Camula, Alexis defeating Dennis, Bastion defeating Tania, Kite and Chazz dueling each other, Celina defeating Yuri, Jaden defeating Amneal, Jaden with amber eyes staring at the Sacred Beasts and then the graduation match.

Cursed by the twist of fate, I'm falling down!

As then we see a bright light appearing in motion as Sartorius was on the front with his eyes staring at the audience, which was then carried over to Aster's deck who had a grin on his face.

The song of harmony I played out with you

Then there was a line break in the middle as we see Celina in a white dimension that was that of an ocean as three dragons roared, while Zane was in a similar one, but with a black one with 2 glowing eyes staring at him.

Lies in the far-away past

Then we see the same line break having Jaden and Aster with their back showing to the other person as they raised their heads as their Heroes were shown respectfully, but the last one was a brand new one, with his arms crossed and above the two.

The scent of your strength still lies in my heart

Hassleberry's eyes turned into a dinosaur's one for a brief second as on the opposite end was a duelist from South Academy with a crocodile near the duelist who had a grin on his face.

And I can't shake it off

Sora and Ray were standing near each other with smiles on their faces, but then they were flashed with images that told a different story.

Eh, waiting just isn't enough anymore Yay Yeah!

Jaden was then standing on the cliff with a happy and excited smile as he got out his deck and readied his brand new duel disk as the rest of them did the same, as even Zane did the same time, but at a Pro Duellist circuit.

Jaden then slammed the card to reveal Elemental HERO Neos who stood tall against Aster Phoenix, which was then turned back for Hassleberry to summon out a Dinowrestler Pankertops against the duelist.

The roulette points to tomorrow

Then both Kite and Chazz were shown with smirks on their faces as Armed Dragon Kagerou Thunder and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragons were both on the field, as the side was then turned to Syrus having a Super Veichroid Jumbo Drill against someone.

Let the light shine

Then Alexis was standing proud as she held her Cyber Angel Amaterasu with Skye having her Trickstar Holly Angel on the field, as Yusuke held his Honest card near him as the monster was standing beside him with a smile with Bastion holding two decks in his hands with a confused look.

Make your escape from the dark maze

Zane was shown standing beside a rising Cyber End Dragon as dark flashes appeared on the dragon with wires all around it, as then Celina was shown with all of her Lunalights monster beside her, with flashes of 3 Dragons on her left and right side and even behind her.

La la la la la la la la la

Now we see Jaden, Celina, Syrus, Alexis, Chazz, Bastion, Yusuke, Skye, Hassleberry, Sora, Ray, Zane and Kite in one corner ready for a duel as their duel disks were ready, as on the other side we have Aster Phoenix with a shit eating grin, a brief, but visible outline of Sartorius with a void face, with Bonaperte and Crowler on Aster's side, but the latter had a conflicted face.

La la la la la la la la la (guess who is back!?)

Aster stood tall with a grin on his face as then two sets of Heroes appeared behind him ready for a fight as the Grand Jupiter stood tall behind them as Jaden's eyes flashed white for a second, but then turned into his regular brown colours.

La la la la la la la la la

As Jaden went closer and closer, brief images of Celina, Syrus, Alexis, Bastion, Chazz, Yusuke, Hassleberry, Ray, Sora, Skye, Kite and Zane flashed as then a hero appeared and charged towards Aster Phoenix.

Until we seize the hope in front of us...

Neos and Grand Jupiter raised their fists and as soon as they clashed, it created a massive explosion which then brief images of the Light of Destruction and Nightshroud could be seen, as then the explosion engulfed them as well as then the crew were then seen standing proud and tall, ready for a new battle.

YUGIOH GX: REWRITE - THE SOCIETY OF LIGHT!

(A/N: End Theme.)

The Fun Gang, sans Chazz as he went to the bathroom, were now walking to a classroom which Crowler made sure to set up so every student could watch it. Syrus and Bastion had to wear a bandage over the place where they were hit.

"Hey, Sarge?" The boy turned to Hassleberry, "I've been meanin' to ask ya', what deck does the rich boy play?" He asked as the others were interested as well.

"That is a good question, since Aster has stated that he has never played his real deck, so we are intrigued if you remember it." Said Yusuke as they looked at the brown haired boy.

"Hmm, give me a sec to remember." He said as he closed his eyes as he began to remember the best he could. As he remembered one time when they were dueling.

Both Aster and Jaden were on the floor, sitting criss-cross applesauce as they were dueling.

Jaden had his Elemental HERO Necroid Shaman on the field, while Aster had nothing on his field, but 3 cards in his hand.

"You may have more monsters than me, Jaden! But I still have enough to beat you!" He said as he placed a familiar card on the playmat, "I activate Polymerization! I fuse my … Hero Witch Raider and … Hero Dogma so I could…"

Aster sent those two cards to his graveyard as he then took from his Extra Deck a card, "...to Fusion Summon my … Hero Dangerous!"

Jaden then widened his eyes, "Heroes." They all looked at him weirdly, "He plays Heroes like me." He said.

"Really? Well that is not unique." Said Celina as the rest of the crew nodded with her.

"Yeah, but still, I have a rookie by the name of Koyo Hibiki playing Elemental HEROes in the Pro Leagues, so I guess it isn't too far fetched for him to play Heroes." Said Sora as he took out the lollipop in his mouth.

Right now, Chazz was quietly walking towards the classroom at his own speed. He knows the duel will start in around 15 minutes and there was no rush at all, which is why he was just walking casually.

He then spotted Yusho Sakaki looking at a single Duel Monsters card by the name of Odd-Eyes Dragon with a rather sad look on his face.

"Hey, Professor Yusho, I have a question." he said as Yusho looked at him.

"Yes, what is it, Chazz? Do you have a question about the subject that you didn't understand? Or do you need help with your homework?" he asked his student who shook his head.

"No, I am doing quite alright in those subjects, I just wanted to ask you something." he said as Yusho nodded.

"Sure, go ahead." he said with a smile on his face.

Chazz remembered when dueling his ex-brothers, and that they used several rare and powerful monsters, but he remembered a one that had about 2 copies and was made a whole archetype a month ago. "I have been meaning to ask you about this. About your Odd-Eyes, how do my… ex-brothers have it?" he asked.

Yusho was quiet as he looked down at his card, "I see, so you know about them having Odd-Eyes, yes?"

"Of course! I had to defeat them in a duel to save this school from being run down, but I was confused on why they have it." he said as Yusho nodded.

"Okay, I understand and that was a good thing to do that you dueled them to save this wonderful school." he said as he sighed, "Well, I guess I will tell you. My son, Yuya, and I both share a card that I made possible when I won a tournament to create a card of my choice for any deck, and Seto and Pegasus approached me of the idea of a card, and soon a new deck." Chazz nodded.

"So, I decided to make one for my son as he drew the monster all on his own which was a beautiful drawing if I say so," he said with a smile on his face, "And then, after a month or so, the card was created and I couldn't be more happier to see his reaction when he saw that card. He was so cute when he saw it." he said as he remembered the reaction of when he saw his son's reaction, which was before the school duel.

Chazz smiled at his new teacher's story, but then his smile fell the moment Yusho's fell, "But then, it all went horrible one day. When I was dueling at a tournament, after the first round, but before my duel against the Sledgehammer, I got a call from my wife, Yoko, that two men had stolen Yuya's card when he was crying in tears trying to protect it, but they took it."

Chazz's eyes widened when he heard those bastards stealing his son's card when he was just a tiny kid, "After that, I immediately went to my home and comforted him." he said in a solemn voice, "I had to explain to the world why I had to bail on the tournament and surprisingly, the Sledgehammer understood and even forgave me for not being a part of the tournament for long which was admirable." he said as he then looked at Chazz who had a shocked expression the entire time.

"Now, I don't blame you for this, I would never as I wanted to thank you for stopping them, but I am afraid that I will never see that card ever again." he said as he looked at Odd-Eyes' card.

Chazz was shaking in anger. How could they?! He knew that they were awful, but to steal a card from a child?! Oh, oh they are going to pay!

"Professor," Yusho looked at his student, "Mark my words, I will find those bastards and make them pay for what they did," he said as he gritted his teeth, "And when I do, I will return that card to you, so you could finally be happy that the card was returned." he said as he gripped his hand into a ball.

Yusho widened his eyes, but then dropped them with a smile on his face, "Thank you, Chazz, that was very thoughtful of you." he said as Chazz looked at him.

"Of course, those were my brothers, and thankfully, I have a new and better brother than them," he said as he smiled as he remembered Kite.

Yusho smiled at his student as he then looked down to see his watch and he then widened his eyes, "Oh dear, it looks like the duel between Aster and Zane is almost going to start. You should be going. I will be watching it as well." he said as Chazz realized what he meant and nodded.

They both began walking to the classroom as they were excited about this entire thing. This was Zane's first ever televised match and it was against the child prodigy known as Aster Phoenix. How couldn't they be excited?!

Sure Zane had dueled in the Pro Leagues before. Always winning and never losing, and the fact that he managed to get a draw against someone like Kite has to be admired.

Chazz walked into the classroom and walked towards his friends, and Syrus, as Yusho was on the wall waiting patiently for the duel to start.

Celina saw him, "What took you so long?" she asked him as their attention was on Chazz. He sighed as he tried to think of something, as he then thought about something that could work.

"I was on the phone with Kite." he said as they all 'ahh'ed as he sat next to Hassleberry. As they all saw the duel almost start.

At the Kaiba Dome, there were crowds of people cheering for the two duelists for their victory, as the person that was going to narrate the entire duel was going to be Zane's manager by the name of Nico Smiley.

Despite Nico being his manager, he was a popular manager that never showed signs of bias to one duelist as he was perfect for the job. Nico was a man that had short black hair which at the end looked like they were going up, as he had small eyes with purple and orange glasses with a massive 24/7 grin, as he wore a yellow and black jacket with a red bowtie.

"Welcome, welcome, duel fans from all over the world! Today, today, we have one special duel for everyone! In this duel, we will have Duel Academy's Number 1 Duelist and the Kaiser of Duel Academy, Zane Truesdale, and the child prodigy and one of the greatest duelists of all time, Aster Phoenix!" yelled Nico over the mouth as everyone watching the duel were hyped for this duel.

"In one corner, we have the duelist that has the power of the legendary, but mysterious, style known as the Cyber Style, the person who had the best win to lose ratio in all of Duel Academy, the up and coming star of the Pro League, Zane Truesdale!" he yelled as then from the floor came out a platform that raised up the new and upcoming star of the Pro Leagues, Zane.

Zane was sporting a new look, but it wasn't a huge one. The button on his Obelisk Blue uniform was changed to a Star as he also had a leather fingerless glove on his right hand. He looked at the stadium and smirked.

There was something off about him, but it wasn't how he looked, but rather he looked… nervous? They weren't really sure. It wasn't that he was being televised, no, but from what he has seen last night.

When he was coming from a cafe, he heard a thug being beaten up, so he ran towards him to help him, but the man sounded scared and he saw multiple scratches on him as he was begging for mercy, as when he looked up, he saw at what looked like a demon, but was gone the same second. It was strange.

But that won't get to him. Not here.

"And at the other corner, we have the duelist with many decks and with tons of skill! The duelist that has never used his true deck up until now! The duelist that is rumoured to be the next King of games, give it up for, Aster Phoenix!" he yelled as the same went with Zane, Aster's platform then went up as they then saw Aster Phoenix with a new duel disk.

This duel disk was actually unique as it slightly reminded them of he-who-shall-not-be-named. It's base was the same from Battle City, but the shape of that from Duel Academy as at the top it was more like a tablet for his life points and so he could know what cards were on his opponent's field, as when he duels, the slots appeared from it as at the leftmost duel slot was the field spell zone, as the colours of the duel disk was grey, blue and black.

He had a mission for this. His friend and manager, Sartorius Kumar, predicted that he will end with victory as the tarot card ended up with it being The Six Of Wands, which meant victory and success. He was told to defeat Zane and then go to Duel Academy and duel Jaden Yuki, which he didn't quite understand, but he had to listen to his friend as he heard that it was important for him to do so.

What confused him was Sartorius' reaction when he placed his deck in his palm and light appeared all over his hand, but for some reason it didn't work, which confused both of them, but Sartorius could feel… it was there, but not alot of it. More like a drop of it.

Zane looked at the man as he felt his chest slightly tighten, but he ignored it. He looked at Aster as he took out his deck from his deck box, "I heard about you, Aster, over 30 duels, no losses and even a couple of tournament victories. Not bad, if I say anything about it." he said as Aster grinned.

"Thanks pal and from what I have heard, you ain't half bad with no loses. Let's hope we have a splendid duel." he said as Zane's eyes narrowed as he saw his deck readied.

"Looks like this duel is starting off hot! Now, are the two duelists ready?" the two nodded, "Well, let the duel begin, and let me tell ya' audience, I am so excited that I might scream, so I think I will! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled as he snapped his fingers as the two duelists yelled out, "DUEL!"

Aster: 4000 lp

Zane: 4000 lp

Turn 1.

Both duelists drew the top 5 cards of their deck, but Aster was quick, "I think I will start this thing off!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck and looked at his hand. It was a decent hand, with a couple of combos for later, but right now, he has a move he would like to use.

"I will begin by summoning Card Trooper in defense mode!" he yelled out as then on his side of the field appeared a small robot that looked like it could move in space as the head had glass so it could protect itself from the coldness of space, as the torso and blasters were red, the shoulders and the part beneath the blasters were yellow and the bottom part was blue which allowed it to move with wheels covering by them. It was in an X position.

(Card Trooper: Level 3 - Earth Machine - Attack: 400. Defense: 400.)

"I will now activate his effect! I can mill the top 3 cards from my deck to the graveyard," he said as he took 3 cards from his deck and sent them to his graveyard and saw the cards being that of Pot Of Avarice, Mirror Force and Polymerization, "Not the best, but I could work with it." he thought as he turned his attention to Zane.

"So he could gain 500 attack points for every milled card until the end of this turn." he said as his robot glew red for a bit.

Card Trooper: 400 - 1900 attack points

"With that, I end my turn! Go ahead, pal, I want to see your combos." he yelled as Zane was surprised that it was all that he could use for one turn, but didn't say anything.

Card Trooper: 1900 - 400 attack

Turn 2. Zane - 4000 lp - 5 cards

"So you have one monster on your field in defense mode, you must be planing something." he said with narrowed eyes as Aster shrugged his shoulders.

"Maybe, how about you try and find out." he said with a small smirk as Zane returned it.

"Don't mind if I do! I draw!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck as he then looked at it. He then looked at his hand and saw a powerful combo that would help him in this turn and could help almost defeat him in one turn, which was great.

"I will start by activating my Spell card, Polymerization!" he said as he then took 3 cards from his deck, "With this, I fuse from my hand my two copies of Cyber Dragon and my Cyber Valley in order to create a new powerful monster for my victory!" he yelled as his ace monster appeared twice along with a small more advanced robot with 5 red orbs around the body of the newly summoned monster, as they were turned into red, green and blue data as they all began to swirl with each other and then they smacked each other to create a small explosion.

Zane then began to chant, "3 mechanical dragons of Light! Combine your strengths into one as to create a fortress whose defensive strength can not compare! I Fusion Summon! Appear, Chimeratech Fortress Dragon!" as then on his field appeared a powerful monster that Celina may or may not have feared seeing that monster, as the dragon's metal skin was that of light purple as it had set of pods that contained a dragon as there were around 7 pods as they were smaller and smaller with each one as there were purple spikes on each and every pod as the tail was sharper than most blades.

The monster gave out a powerful roar when summoned.

(Chimeratech Fortress Dragon: Fusion - Level 8 - Dark Machine - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

Duel Academy students were cheering for the newly summoned monster as the crowd went wild as it was the first monster summoned by the Kaiser in his first turn which was really impressive.

"WOAH! Look at that, duel fans! Zane busted out one of the strongest looking monsters ever seen on television. Folks, I don't want to say this to early, but it looks like Zane is in the lead!" Nico yelled as Zane smirked seeing this monster.

"Well, Aster, what do you think of this monster?" he asked as Aster shrugged.

"Ehh, 6/10." he said as Zane looked at him.

He smirked, "Well, I hope to boost that record with his special ability! These pods aren't there to shield my dragons, there are there so I can attack equal to the amount of monsters used for its summon!" he yelled as Aster widened his eyes hearing that. "So, let's start! Sonic Screech!" he yelled as the main head of the newly summoned dragon then shot a powerful blast of sound directly towards Card Trooper.

"I don't know if you are blind, but you should know that my Card Trooper has higher defense than your dragon has attack!" he yelled as Card Trooper tried to fight back, but the attack stopped right at its track, "HUH?!"

"It is true that my monster isn't as strong as yours, but it can negate it's own attack! But that is not all, whenever he attacks, you take 400 points of damage!" he yelled as Aster widened his eyes as he felt the powerful blast of air coming towards him as he held onto his stomach for a bit after that attack.

Aster: 4000 - 3600 lp

Zane: 4000 lp

The crowd went wild as Zane drew the first blood of the match, and from the looks of it, he was only starting this barrage.

"Don't forget, I get to attack 2 more times! So go! Sonic Screech - Round 2!" from the first pod next to the main head of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon came out a Cyber Dragon head as it then shot a beam of sound directly towards Aster as he took a step backwards.

Aster: 3600 - 3200 lp

"Sonic Screech - Round 3!" The Kaiser roared as then another body of the Chimeratech came out from a pod as it then shot the powerful blast straight towards Aster as he took another step backwards.

Aster: 3200 - 2800 lp

Zane: 4000 lp

Aster looked at him, "Nice move there, pal, but I am telling you that unfortunately, that you haven't dented my Card Trooper at all! So I don't think that was a smart play." he said as he saw Zane grin, which alarmed anyone that knew the Kaiser.

"You aren't half wrong, but that doesn't mean you are correct! I activate my De-Fusion!" he yelled as he took out a card from his deck, "I target 1 Fusion monster on my field and split him into the monsters used for the summon!" he yelled out as then his Chimeratech Fortress Dragon disappeared from his field as he then took 3 cards from his graveyard.

"So come out, my two copies of Cyber Dragon and my Cyber Valley!" The Kaiser yelled as he slammed the three cards on his duel disk as the three Light Machine monsters were then summoned onto the field with the Cyber Valley being in the middle.

(Cyber Dragon: Level 5 - Light Machine - Attack: 2100. Defense: 1600.) x 2

(Cyber Valley: Level 1 - Light Machine - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"Bring them all out, trust me, I can handle them." said Aster as Zane narrowed his eyes.

"Well, since you asked for it, Cyber Dragon attacks! Strident Blaze!" he yelled as from his mouth charged up a blue energy blast for a minute or so as the audience waited in anticipation as then the powerful blast of energy was shot directly towards Aster's only monster on the field.

"Not bad, but when my Card Trooper is destroyed, I get to draw 1 card from my deck!" he yelled out as he drew the top card of his deck and smirked at it. It was perfect for the next turn.

"That won't stop me from attacking you directly! Go, Cyber Dragon! Strident Blaze!" he yelled out as then another Cyber Dragon charged up a blue lightning attack inside of its mouth as it then locked on Aster for a second or two and then shot directly towards the gray haired boy.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but it actually does stop you from attacking me directly! By sending Swift Scarecrow from my hand to the grave," Aster said as he discarded the card from his hand as then a scarecrow appeared in front of him to block the attack, "So I can end the Battle Phase!" he yelled out, shocking everyone around him.

Zane sighed, "Well, at least I have one more move left," he took a card from his hand, "I set one card facedown and end my turn." a card was set behind the two Cyber Dragons and Cyber Valley.

Turn 3. Aster - 2800 lp - 5 cards

Everyone saw Aster drawing a card from his deck, "Now," everyone's attention was brought to Ray, "Let's see if you were correct Jaden about him playing Heroes because I get the feeling that you are about to be correct."

Aster saw the cards in his hand and smirked.

"I activate Double Fusion!" the card appeared on his field as a blue glow appeared Aster Phoenix, "I pay 500 life points for one special ability."

Aster: 2800 - 2300 lp

Zane: 4000 lp

"And that is to Fusion Summon twice in a row!" he yelled out, shocking everyone as he took two cards from his hand, "I fuse from my hand my Elemental Hero Clayman and my Sparkman in order to create one powerful guy!" he yelled as they saw two famous Earth and Light Heroes appear on the field, only to transform into red and blue data that swirled around each other as then they smacked each other to create an explosion.

Aster began to chant, "Hero of Lightning! Hero of Earth! Fuse in order to create a powerful thunderstorm of Justice! I Fusion Summon! Come out, Elemental HERO Thunder Giant!" as then on his field appeared one of his strongest Fusion monsters.

It was a monster with a blue vizor around his eyes with a white helmet, as the rest of the body were big as there were electricity coming all around the guy, as at the middle of his chest was a blue orb that had lightning inside of it, as around his chest, arms, shoulders, hand and feet was yellow, with around his shoulders were spikes, and around his hips were purple pants and around his arms were purple biceps.

(Elemental HERO Thunder Giant: Fusion - Level 6 - Light Warrior - Attack: 2400. Defense: 1500.)

"So you were correct?!" yelled out Skye in shock as the rest of the crew widened their eyes as well. Jaden thought that… this wasn't it or at the very least, wasn't his true deck, but he wasn't sure.

"Elemental Heroes…? Heh," Zane smirked, "I think I know how to counter your deck already."

"Oh please! You haven't seen anything yet," he said as he took two more cards from his hand, "I now fuse Burstinatrix and Avian in order to create one more Hero!" he yelled as the famous duo appeared on the field as their fate was the same as Clayman and Sparkman.

Jaden narrowed his eyes, but then he remembered something.

"Hey, don't cry." said the gray haired boy as he wiped the tears from his best friend, "I am just leaving for America, it isn't like I am going away from this planet." he said as they were in an airport.

"I know, but," Jaden sniffed, "I am sad that you are leaving." he said.

Aster frowned as then he had an idea, "Hey, how about this?" he said as he took out his deck and took out 2 cards from it, that being Flame Wingman and Shining Flare Wingman, "How about you take these two cards while my two Fusion monsters? That way we can remember each other! You take these two, and I take Phoe-"

He was snapped as he then heard his chant, "Hero of Flames! Heroes of Feathers! Create the embodiment of Justice! I Fusion Summon! Come out, Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer!" Zane's eyes widened. That name… he hasn't heard that name ever when watching the Slifer Red duel, but his appearance shocked him.

It was like… the demon he saw yesterday! It was a monster that had green feathers close his eyes, as his wings were like that of Avian, but were more slick and more pointy, as his claws were that from a saw weapon and from only one hand, as the skin was black and red with a wild physique as he had a dragon like tail.

(Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer: Fusion - Level 6 - Fire Warrior - Attack: 2100. Defense: 1200.)

"Now, hold ya' toot!" yelled out Hassleberry, "How come he didn't summon Flame Wingman because he had the perfect monsters for that?!"

"Well, I think I know why," said Yusuke as he began, "When you fuse two different monsters together, you either get a complete fusion of the two with those specific combinations, or you have a mishmash of that, but with Heroes, it is never one or the other, it is an almost perfect blend of both of them, so I guess it makes sense why he would summon Phoenix Enforcer."

"Yeah, that makes sense, which is a shame I don't have one, because those monsters look sick!" he yelled out, but they felt that he wasn't being fully truthful.

"WOAH! Are my eyes working, or have we just seen two Fusion Summons in one turn?! Folks, looks like this duel will be one to remember!" yelled Nico over the speakers.

"I haven't seen that Elemental Hero yet, so this might be interesting." said Zane as Aster smirked.

"You ain't wrong there cause he is much stronger than the regular Flame Wingman, but first things first! Thunder Giant's effect activates! When he is Fusion Summoned, one monster on your side of the field whose attack points are lower than his get vaporized!" he yelled out as he pushed his arm forward, "Go, Vapor Spark!"

As then, Thunder Giant placed his two hands together as then electricity appeared all around the powerful Light Hero with enough horsepower to make the city of New York have electricity for a decade as he then thrusted the powerful orb of lightning directly towards the Cyber Dragon on his left.

However, Zane won't let that slide, "Not so fast! I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Cyber Protection! This card negates any destruction of a Machine monster!" he yelled out as then a coat around the Cyber Dragon appeared which worked like a Lightning Rod and absorbed the lightning, "Not to mention, if the protected monster was a Cyber monster, I get to draw 1 card." he said as he did so.

Aster didn't seem to mind, "No biggie, I can still attack you with my monsters! Thunder Giant attack Cyber Dragon with Voltic Thunder!" he yelled as Thunder Giant then pointed his finger directly towards Cyber Dragon, but before any lightning could go from it, Zane moved.

"Oh, I don't think so! I activate Cyber Valley's effect! During the Battle Phase, I can banish it," he said as his Level 1 monster disappeared, "So I can end it, plus I get to draw 1 card!" he yelled as he drew the card from his deck.

"My, oh my, duel fans! It looks like they are evenly matched!" yelled Nico with a wide grin.

"You know, I thought this duel will be a walk in the park, but I have to hand it to you, you are doing pretty alright." he said as both of them smirked at the same time.

"Same here, but you surprised me." said Zane, but he dropped it, "But, I have an unfair advantage since I know how the Elemental Hero deck works."

"Oh trust me, I know, but let me tell ya', this ain't the regular Elemental Hero that you know, and I will show you soon enough. I end my turn." he said as he had no more turns left.

Turn 4. Zane - 4000 lp - 2 cards

Zane looked at his two cards and saw the potential combos ready for this turn specifically and he is going to wipe away Aster's entire board in this one simple move, "My turn. I draw!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck.

He looked at it and nodded. It could work for the next turn, but right now, it didn't matter. He placed it in his hand and took a card from his hand, "I will play my second Polymerization!" the crowd gasped, "I fuse from my field my two Cyber Dragons in order to create a much more powerful beast!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as his two monsters turned into red and blue data as they began to swirl around each other as then they smacked into each other to create a small explosion.

Zane began to chant, "Mechanical Dragon! Fuse together to rain down fire on your enemies with twice the strength! I Fusion Summon! Appear, Cyber Twin Dragon!" as then on his field appeared a new machine, as the base was that of the regular Cyber Dragon, but this time it had 2 heads with one head having an orange orb on the top while the other had a blue helmet which was interesting to see.

(Cyber Twin Dragon: Fusion - Level 8 - Light Machine - Attack: 2800. Defense: 2100.)

"I am really impressed with the quality of Zane's Fusion monsters," said Sora as he took out a bag of candies and began eating them like chips.

"I gotta agree with you there, pal." said a nodding Ray.

"Now, my dragon here has an effect. It can at-"

"Attack twice per turn?" he said as Zane was shocked to hear that, "I mean, come on. It has two heads and it's name is Twin, what else am I supposed to think what it does? One drinks while the other eats?"

Zane opened his mouth, only to close it. He made a really good point, "Good question, but here is a better one! Can your monsters survive this barrage!? Cyber Twin Dragon attacks both your Thunder Giant and your Phoenix Enforcer! Double Strident Blast!" he yelled out as then from the mouths of the two dragons, one shot out a purple beam of light while the other shot a green one.

The first one contacted Thunder Giant, as they heard a loud grunt and then a massive explosion happened, as the second one landed towards Phoenix Enforcer, but this time it was a small grunt and an equal sized explosion.

Aster: 2300 - 1900 - 1200 lp

Zane: 4000 lp

Zane stood tall, knowing full well that he destroyed all of Aster's monsters in one turn as he saw the dust fade away to show Aster all alone except with-

Wait, how is Phoenix Enforcer still there?! And he almost looked perfectly fine, except with a few scratches, but that is about it.

"To answer your question, yes, my Phoenix Enforcer can survive that barrage very easily as his effect is that he can't be destroyed by battle. Pretty neat, huh?" he asked with a smirk on his face as Zane narrowed his eyes.

He smirked, "I still have a long way from winning this. I end my turn by setting this card face down." he said as a card was then set vertically behind his Cyber Twin Dragon.

Turn 5. Aster - 1200 lp - 1 card

"Winning? Sorry, buddy pal, but that ain't going to happen when you are dueling against me. I am not saying that you are a bad duelist, pal, but I just want to say that you are not winning when you are dueling someone of my calibre!" he placed his fingers on the top of his deck as he then drew it, "I DRAW!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck.

He then flipped it as he saw the perfect card that would help him in this situation and possibly win this duel right here and now, "I activate the Spell Fusion Recovery! With this, I can retrieve a Polymerization," the Spell appeared from the graveyard slot, "and a monster that was used for a Fusion Summon like my Sparkman!" he yelled as he took the other card from his graveyard slot as he then took both of them.

Skye's eyes widened, "Wait, don't tell me, he is going to fuse them!"

Alexis narrowed her eyes, "Knowing the Elemental Heroes, that is a full possibility." she said as almost all of them knew what was going to happen.

"Wait a sec, how did Aster get his Polymerization from his graveyard if he hasn't used it?" asked Syrus as Bastion crossed his arms.

"My best guess is that it was milled thanks to Card Trooper's effect." he said with narrowed eyes.

"I will now activate my Spell card, Polymerization!" he yelled as his Sparkman appeared on the field, but with more darker colours, "I fuse from my hand my Elemental HERO Sparkman with my Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer to create a brand new Fusion monster!" he yelled as both of them turned into red and blue data as they began to swirl around each other as then when they smacked into each other, they created a small explosion.

Aster then began to chant, "Hero Of Lightning! The Enforcing Hero! Combine to show that no where can evil lurk with his shining power! I Fusion Summon! Come out, Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer!"

As then on his field appeared a brand new Fusion monster as the monster showed itself, as the monster's skin had a more tanned look, as he had silver steel around his feet, wings that were as sharp as blades, his head that was like a pineapple, but really sharp, around his hips and his arms, which had gray claws as he also wore a green tight skin suit.

(Elemental HERO Shining Phoenix Enforcer: Fusion - Level 8 - Fire Warrior - Attack: 2500. Defense: 2100.)

Zane had a poker face the entire time as he thought he would face the same Hero deck, but from the looks of it, this was a different deck entirely. The original Flare Wingman gained 300 attack points for Elemental Hero in their graveyard and can deal damage to you equal to the attack of the destroyed monster, but right now, he didn't know what effects this monster had.

The rest of Duel Academy were shocked to see that monster on screen as it looked like it could rival the likes of Jaden's strongest Heroes or even overwhelm them as they felt immense power from it.

Unknown to him, his Heroes appeared behind him as they looked over to Honest who was silent the entire time. Burstinatrix, Avian and Flame Wingman saw Phoenix Enforcer with a saddened look as they remember when they were comrades while Flare Wingman and Sparkman felt like they lost a good friend when the two boys separated.

"Are my eyes working?! Because we just saw a powerful Fusion monster being fused into creating a brand new Fusion monster never before seen! And from the looks of it, it dwarfs the power of the previous one!" yelled Nico as Aster raised his duel disk.

"You know, my monster's attack points have been lacking lately, so how about my monster gains some?! My Shining Phoenix Enforcer gains 300 for every Elemental Hero in my graveyard," Zane's eyes widened, but not for the reason they expected.

"Huh… it looks like it copied one of the effects." thought the Kaiser of Duel Academy.

"Hero Role Call!" he yelled out as then holograms of Burstinatrix, Avian, Phoenix Enforcer, Sparkman, Clayman and Thunder Giant appeared behind him with wild grins on their faces around their master.

Elemental HERO Shining Phoenix Enforcer: 2500 + 300 x 6 = 2500 + 1800 = 4300 attack points

"Sam Hill, that there monster has enough attack points to destroy Zane's monster and create a shish kebab!" Hassleberry was worried for the Kaiser.

"Oh please, my brother can handle that guy!" yelled Syrus.

"Now, I think it is time to show everyone the power of my new monster! Shining Phoenix Enforcer! Attack and destroy Cyber Twin Dragon! Shining Shoot!" he yelled as first things first, Shining Phoenix Enforcer began to light up as to show that it could exert heat in that specific area as the light traveled up to his extremely sharp claws as then his claws began to become more and more sharper as it then charged directly towards the Cyber Twin Dragon as it raised his claw so it could strike against this guy.

"Zane!" yelled Yusuke, Alexis, Celina, Chazz, Bastion, Hassleberry, Sora, Ray and Skye.

"Kaiser!" yelled Jaden as he shot up from his seat as did everyone else.

"Bro!" Syrus damn near had a heart attack.

"Not happening! I activate my Trap, Negate Attack!" as then a green barrier appeared in front of the Cyber Twin Dragon, "This card negates your attack and ends the Battle Phase!" he yelled as when Shining Phoenix Enforcer was seconds away from destroying the Light Machine Fusion monster, he pushed his claws directly towards the barrier which broke his claws on impact.

Shining Phoenix Enforcer screamed in pain as he then ran back to Aster, holding his hand in anguish as then his claws reappeared from his knuckles as he stared the Kaiser of Duel Academy with pure hatred in his eyes.

"Hmph. Man, just when I was about to destroy your ace, you have to show that." he said, but he didn't sound mad, but rather… annoyed, "Well, better luck next turn. You can go after I set this card face down." he said as a card was set vertically behind his Elemental Hero monster.

Turn 6. Zane - 4000 lp - 1 card

Zane looked at his only card left in his hand. Power Bond.

A card that helped him in many fights and in many duels, and even when he was at his lowest, this card always was with him as it is the Cyber Style speciality. So he knows that he can pull out a miracle. He knows that better than anyone, after all, "A duel is not over until the last card is played." he said as Aster looked at him funny, but that didn't stop him from placing his fingers on his deck, "And I still have a couple of moves left in me! I DRAW!" he yelled out as he pulled the top card of his deck.

Time seemed to slow down for Zane, as he then began to slowly, but surely reveal the card that he has in his hands and then he saw it…. he smirked. "I am not done just yet. I activate the Spell, Pot Of Greed!" the legendary pot appeared on his field.

"With this, I get to draw 2 cards from my deck!" he did so as he drew the top two cards from his deck as the legendary pot exploded. He looked at the two cards, then back at his hand. He grinned.

"Ho boy." said Sheppard as he was sitting next to Foster and Jesse while munching on some black licorice. "His ace is going to appear." he said as Foster gulped as he remembered when Czar was ultimately defeated by the Kaiser twice.

"Polymerization isn't the only copy that I have in my deck because look at this! De-Fusion!" he yelled out as his monster disappeared from his field as then on his side of the field appeared 2 copies of the same monster as they began to roar in power.

Aster was not the slightest bit impressed as he looked at it with indifference.

(Cyber Dragon: Level 5 - Light Machine - Attack: 2100. Defense: 1600.) x 2

"I don't get it," Crowler looked at the Vice-Chancellor of Duel Academy, "Why would he summon two monsters that were ultimately weaker than his Shining Phoenix Enforcer and rather chose his own Fusion monster?" asked Bonaparte as Crowler smirked at his French Chancellor.

"Well you see, Zane doesn't really do that kind of strategy. He would rather use his own monsters to create an even more powerful monster rather than use others for a quick victory, which is why, he didn't activate it on Shining Phoenix Enforcer." he explained as Zane then took a card from his hand.

"Now, I have to admit, it was fun dueling against you because dueling someone like you is a one time experience that I have to capitalize, and what better way than to defeat you right now!" he yelled as he showed his most powerful Fusion card he has as the crowd gasped as Sora dropped his candy, "I ACTIVATE POWER BOND!"

"WHAT?!" yelled Sora, Skye, Hassleberry and Ray all at the same time as did the rest of the audience while the rest of the crew stared at him in admiration, especially Yusuke and Syrus.

"He has that card in his deck?!" yelled Skye in shock.

"You bet," said Celina, "and if you think having 1 is enough, I am pretty sure he has 3 of them."

"You are not sure, you are 100% correct." said Yusuke.

"Due to Power Bond's limitations, I can only Fusion Summon Machine type monsters, but I will fuse from my hand my Cyber Dragon with my 2 copies of Cyber Dragon on the field in order to create my strongest! My Perfect! My Victory!" he yelled out as he closed both of his fist as he roared to the heavens as then a final Cyber Dragon appeared on the field, as then they turned into red, green and blue data as they all began to swirl around each other as then they all slammed into each other in perfect harmony as Zane then looked at Aster with a determined look.

He began to chant, "Spread your metallic wings of fate and destruction. Creating devastation with the 3 heads of doom. Watch as the ultimate machine is created for the perfect victory! I Fusion Summon! Descend, Cyber End Dragon!" he roared as then the monster revealed itself.

It was a monster that dwarfed Phoenix Enforcer by a mile as the three dragons all went around, with the two heads being that of arms while the middle one was that of the actual head, as it had a massive tail like that of a massive serpent as he had long metal wings with blue orbs around the chest and wings.

(Cyber End Dragon: Fusion - Level 10 - Light Machine - Attack: 4000. Defense: 2800.)

Zane then thrusted his fist, "That is not all, thanks to Power Bond, his attack points are now doubled!" he yelled as his monster glew in red.

Cyber End Dragon: 4000 - 8000 attack points

Aster, staring down a monster whose attack points could destroy any foolish duelist into battling against it, with double than the normal life points, and being it more powerful than his own monster, merely whistled in front of it, "Not bad, Zanny, that monster is actually a pretty decent monster if I say so." he said as they all look at him in shock.

"Is he insane?!" yelled Celina in shock.

"He must be!" yelled Chazz in response.

"You are staring down a monster that has more attack points and you just whistle at it?" he asked.

"Yup. It is cool, but I gotta admit, it wasn't worth the buildup, honestly." he said as he was discussing lunch.

Zane was quiet as he looked at him in pure shock as he tried to think about if he was serious for a moment, but he knew that if he doesn't attack now, he would lose all of his life points so this was an all or nothing gamble.

"This is it! Cyber End Dragon attacks your Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer with Super Strident Blaze!" he yelled out as all of his monsters then charged up a powerful beam of light, one purple, green and the last one being yellow as they then shot it directly towards the Elemental Hero, which the boy in the suit grinned at.

"You fell for it." Zane's eyes widened, "Gotta admit. You played a really wicked game, but I am afraid talk will get ya' two things: defeat and fate." Aster said as his opponent looked down at his trap.

"Wait, your Trap card!" he yelled.

"That's right! You fell straight towards my Trap! Equal Fight!" he yelled as everyone gasped, "When you declare an attack on my monster, my Shining Phoenix Enforcer's attack points become the same as yours!" he yelled out as Sheppard, North and Duel Academy all watched in shock at what will soon transpire.

Elemental HERO Shining Phoenix Enforcer: 4300 - 8000 attack points

"Both of our monsters have the same attack points…" grunted Zane as Aster smirked.

"Thank you Captain Obvious! How about I give everyone here a little trivia?! Shining Phoenix Enforcer has the same effect as his previous form, so he would be the last monster standing!" he yelled as their jaws dropped when they heard that.

Shining Phoenix Enforcer roared in power as he then looked at the up and coming attack from the powerful dragon. He moved his hand and then… he stopped it. He stopped the powerful clash of beams with one hand as then he jumped forward and raised his hand to deliver one final slash.

One to remember as an explosion happened that people had to cover their eyes from it.

After a minute or so, they saw two figures standing. Aster confidently with his Shining Phoenix Enforcer standing proud and powerful while Zane was shown with a distressed look on his face.

Before anything else could be said, Aster said one sentence, "Power Bond has a downside, right Zanny?" he asked as Zane took a breath.

"It does. During the End Phase of the turn it was summoned, I take damage equal to that monster's attack." he stated as everyone saw what they never thought would have been possible as he dropped to his knees.

Aster: 1200 lp

Zane: 4000 - 0 lp

ASTER PHOENIX: WINNER!

Zane lost.

Zane lost in his own turn, when he had the life point advantage and it was due to Power Bond's downside that was the reason for him losing his life points, which was unbelievable to see and what made it scarier?

Even Zane never once lost a single life point before this, it felt like Aster was just… playing around, without using his real deck, which was shocking to hear. Someone so powerful, someone that clearly showed to be stronger than even the likes of Yusuke, lost to him in such a way.

"Unbelievable folks! Zane Truesdale has lost! Despite having the lower life point advantage and mostly utilizing one monster, Aster managed to turn his strongest card into his win condition. Aster Phoenix is the winner!" yelled Nico Smiley as they saw something more shocking as the crowd went wild.

Zane dropped to his knees.

"How… how was that possible?" asked Zane as Aster chuckled.

"It is simple really, you can't hide from Destiny." he said as he began walking away with a smirk on his face as Zane's eyes widened.

"Wait a sec. That sounded like…" thought to himself Zane as he looked at Aster, "Are you The Demon from last night?" he asked as Aster stopped as he looked at him with a smirk, right before walking away.

"Maybe." he said as he walked away.

Everyone was left in thought the entire time. Zane as he felt the entire time, the entire duel, Aster was just playing around, like it was just a small game to him and not an important match while he pulled everything that he needed and still lost the duel, which was mentally destroying as he felt something dark coming around him… something sinister.

Sheppard was in shock to see his pupil, not only in the arts of Cyber Style and from Duel Academy. The star of the Cyber Style lost in such a way that was hard to see as he knew that has to hurt, and he doesn't know what to do at the current moment, but he can tell something bad will happen, something really, really bad.

The people from Duel Academy were left in a state of shock that the best student or classmate that has ever come in Duel Academy lost in a way that was just humiliating to sit through and it was horrible to see. They saw the Kaiser, Syrus' older brother, the person that never lost to several students, even those in the Slifer Red, the man that only lost to he-who-shall-not-be-named, on his knees after a defeat like that and how couldn't they be in a state of shock.

The TV continued to show Aster in a group of reporters, "Aster, my, that was one shocking duel! Tell us, what is your secret?" one of the reporters asked.

"Oh nothing much, like I always say to my fans. If you vision your victory, destiny will always have your back." he said with his eyes closed.

"Now, tell us about this new deck of yours, why did you use it? Were you inspired by someone? Or is it because it held sentimental value?" the reporter asked as Aster looked at the camera with a wide grin.

"No, none of these things, I just like playing them, but let me tell ya' something. Last month when I decided to go to a certain school, so I could see if it is up to my style and it could actually teach me something, some kid decided to copy my style and call it his own." he said as the rest of the crew narrowed their eyes at him.

"But before this kid could show up here, I had to show everyone my real deck! My strongest one so he doesn't take the credit and people think that I stole from them!" Aster said as the reporters began writing notes, "You see, this student, whom I won't reveal so I could spare the poor kid, has a little following among duel fans, and what I don't want is some upstart kid that thinks they are the bees knees for taking my hard work!"

"That settles it, I officially can't stand this bloke." said Bastion as the rest nodded with him.

"You and me, Bastion." said a nodding Celina.

"What an ass!" said Chazz as he then widened his eyes as he felt like he had a great idea, "Oh more like Asster Phoenix!" They, sans Jaden, looked at him funny.

"That is extremely childish, man," said Yusuke, "but knowing this guy, it is deserved."

"That isn't bad honestly." said Sora as Ray agreed with him.

"Now, I don't care if you like me or not, there is something that you can't disagree with." he said as he looked at the camera as like he can see Bastion and Celina, "That I am the best! I can't be beat! And to prove it, I am challenging this school boy!" he yelled as their eyes widened.

All of them did as they knew what was about to happen, but would he really say his name out loud, to the public? So whenever he gets outside, he would be known as the guy that stole his deck.

"Now, I won't tell you their name as they will be anonymous, but I will tell you this." he said with a complete and serious look on his face, "It rhymes with Shmaden Shmuki."

Oh that is how.

They would be lying if they weren't close to laughing their asses off when they heard that name if it weren't backed off by the threat of dueling him, most likely this night.

"Hear me Shmaden?!" Aster yelled as everyone snickered around him and in Duel Academy, even he chuckled a little bit, but quickly got his act together, "Yeah, you hear me Shmaden! You card thief! I am dueling you to show much of a rip off you are! Understand me, SHMADEN?!" he yelled out as the footage was cut.

It was definitely because all of the cameras lost all of their batteries and not because everyone in the scene was laughing their ass off when he kept saying that name. No, never. What makes you think otherwise?

The only one who didn't know what was going on was Jesse, "Wait a gosh darn sec'... who is he talking about?" Sheppard sweatdropped.

But right back at Duel Academy, the ones that weren't laughing their asses off aka Yusho, Crowler, Bonaparte and the crew were staring at the scene with wide expressions. Yusho was silent because he could feel that the reason why he would duel and understood the reason why wasn't because of fun, but for a different meaning.

Crowler and Bonaparte realized that the Aster Phoenix, the man that just defeated their best, could be their way of destroying the Slifer Red dorm for good, but the former felt like that wasn't the correct thing to do, but no. He shook his head as both of them walked off the room to wait for Aster Phoenix.

The crew were worried. For two people. Zane as they could tell that something wasn't right with him when he lost. Usually when he loses, he can take it pretty well and thinks about having a new rival, which results in him thinking about how to improve his deck for their rematch. Yusuke knows this as whenever he beats him and the rare occasion where Atticus beats him, he always shows that he wasn't bothered by it and shows good sportsmanship, but here it felt different, like he was almost getting possessed, but that couldn't be true.

That was impossible…

Why did Yusuke felt like he is going to eat his words later on.

The second person that they were worried for, and understandably so, was Jaden as he was quiet the entire time. For someone that is as loudmouthed as Jaden to be quiet was something that was really fishy as they knew that if he was quiet than they know it was for a good reason, and it was terrifying to see him.

They then saw him stand up, "Hey, Coach J, is everything cool?" asked Sora as the brown haired boy nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, Sora, I am cool." he said as Ray looked at him.

"Are you sure?" he asked as the Slifer Slacker nodded.

"Of course! I just need, uh, some fresh air if you don't mind." he said as they all made sure to give him some space so he could walk away from the room. After he did the group was silent.

"I will go to talk to him," stood up Celina as they all looked at her and without any objections, allowed her to pass so she could talk to him as she did.

When she left the room she saw Jaden walking away and then she began to follow him, silently as she saw him walking away, but it didn't look like he was running away from the duel, but something about having peace.

She saw him walk out the building, but stop as he looked at the sky, the night sky. Celina saw how calm he was, but he could tell, he was nervous about this entire thing.

"Hey, Jaden?" the boy turned to Celina as he looked at her.

"Oh, hey, what's up?" he asked her with a smile on his face as did she.

"Is something wrong?" Celina asked Jaden as he looked at her and then back at the sky.

"No, no, nothing is wrong, I promise, it is just so… weird you know?" he asked.

Celina didn't know how to answer this. Sure she didn't know their past since he never talked about it, but it had to be because of something, but she could tell that there was a good reason for all of this, "Yeah, it is. Seeing your friend from the past that is a pro duelist just show up an island, challenges you, leaves the island, duels the one person you couldn't defeat, beats him and challenges you on live TV. It is far from normal, but we should expect that from now on." Celina said as Jaden understood that. Better than anyone.

"You're right, but like… to see someone that you haven't seen in a long while, someone that I for some reason can't remember well, appearing in my life again, and then again for a reason that I don't even know, is just… bad." he said as she frowned seeing him like this.

"I understand that you aren't happy about this, but at least… be happy that you finally meet up with him, even if you don't know exactly why. It must be a good thing to see an old friend, I assume, but," Celina breathed in, "Be happy that you at least get to see your friend." she said.

"But that's why I am nervous, Celina," her eyes widened slightly. Him, nervous? This must be a special occasion if he is nervous here and not against some events in the past, "I am nervous that everything will go horribly and that we will end having bad blood between us and I don't want that. I don't want to be on bad ends with anyone, not even to my enemies. I want to be his friend again, Celina, I really want to be his friend like before, but I just…. am so nervous about this." he said as Celina looked at him with a sad look, but he continued.

"But at the same time, that is not everything that I am feeling. I am feeling happiness that I finally get to see my old friend again and possibly being on the same wavelength as before, sad that Kaiser lost his duel and then his reputation, excited to finally see him again with a duel, and nervous about everything else that I mentioned before. As I don't know how it would end, which is why, I guess, I have all of these weird emotions." said Jaden as he continued.

"Maybe, it is because I am kind of scared dueling him because I feel like he… wasn't being truthful with himself, which is weird to say even though I remember him using Heroes, but for some reason, he was using the Elemental Heroes. I just… don't know about this." he said as Celina looked at him.

"Jaden, I," Celina sighed, she had no idea how to approach this situation, but she wanted to at least try, try to at least calm him before the duel, "Understand where you come from," the boy looked at her, "I mean, not to this degree with an old friend challenging you on live TV, but to do something that you have no idea how to end is normal and we all have to get used to it, even if we don't have to. Plus it is natural for us to be scared about something out of our control, we are only humans after all."

Celina continued, "I understand that your emotions and those are the rightful ones to have due to this situation at your hand, to be scared, nervous, happy or more, is perfectly fine, but you can't just run away from this, we all have to do this wherever we like it or not, but you are not alone on this, I am here with you, we are here with you, all of us are here with you." she said as the Slifer Slacker began to smile slowly.

"And come on, you faced worse than this. Sure he may be a Pro Duelist, but I highly doubt that he would be able to take the opponents that you had as I am fully confident that you are going to win, I mean, hell, you drew with Zane and from what I have seen, we all have surpassed that to a certain extent, so you will be fine." Celina said as Jaden looked at her with smile, "What am I trying to say is, face him and do your best, which it will result in your victory." she said.

"Thanks, Celina. That… really meant a lot to me that you would say this." he said as Celina smiled at him.

"Don't mention, I just wanted you to feel better." she said as the two looked at each other in silence with smiles on their faces.

It was a quiet moment between each other as it was a nice feeling to be around someone you care about, even if you have to duel your old friend. It was something magical when the two were alone like this all alone that they couldn't explain it.

But then, they heard a notification from their PDA as they looked at it and saw it was from Dennis and Kite.

Number1YushoFan: Hey guys, why do I see a man skydiving close to Duel Academy?

Galaxy-Eyes: You are making that up, Dennis.

Number1YushoFan: Bro, I am not joking! Look!

Number1YushoFan: Sent a Photo, which was a man wearing a regular uniform with a parachute that looked like Aster Phoenix.

Galaxy-Eyes: What the hell?

Number1YushoFan: I know, right?

The two Slifer Reds turned their attention to the man in the sky to reveal himself as Aster as he wore the regular uniform that you go skydiving with a parachute that he opened up as he was currently in the air, holding onto it.

The two Elemental Hero duelists stared at each other as there was like a whole conversation going on from them as one was slowly going down. It was impressive how intimidating he looked even with the goofy look when the parachute landed on him.

The next few minutes felt like a flash, as no matter how much Jaden asked him why he was doing this and why he challenged him to a duel, Aster did not move a single muscle or tell the truth of the matter like it was the most important thing in the world.

Aster told him that they are doing this in a Duel Arena inside of the Duel Academy building and that the only people that could watch was his friends because he didn't want people getting information about his deck, which they had to agree on if they wanted a duel because there was no way he would duel otherwise, so the arena was privatized.

Currently, Aster, Jaden, Celina, the rest of the crew, Crowler and Bonaparte were in the Duel Arena as Aster stood there on the left while Jaden on the left with both of them having their duel disks on them.

"Aster, before we duel, I just wanted to ask you, why are you doing this?" he asked as Aster smirked.

"Buddy, I already told you 14 times that this was a private manner, but since you want to know, I will tell you this: I want to prove that I am the better Hero player." he said as everyone narrowed their eyes when he said that.

"Are you sure that is all?" he asked as Aster looked at him.

"Of course it is. Now, enough talking! We are dueling right here and now!" he yelled as he readied his duel disk.

"Right! Get your game on!" yelled Jaden as he readied his duel disk.

"DUEL!"

Aster: 4000 lp

Jaden: 4000 lp

Okay, that was a long 15k chapter that I had to do… in like 5 days. (I have no life lol.) So here we go! The long awaited Hero duel that I just can't wait to get started on! And I can't wait to show you guys the thing I have been cooking up!

Now for the story: Chazz got his mini mansion, Skye and Alexis move to it because of Crowler's horrible idea, Yusho and Chazz have a mini talk about how trash his former siblings and a possible rematch between the three brothers, the duel and the upcoming duel.

Alright, the long version, I have wanted to write the little subplot for Yusho, but I always forget to add it in my chapters, so I decided to do it here. I know Yusho won't duel a lot, heck from what I have remembered, he duels like once in the entire season, but he does play Odd-Eyes in this series with Smile World.

I wanted to add in the Sheppard scene with Foster and Jesse so I could hype the GX Tournament, and I wanted to make sure that you guys know that Jesse will be apart of it. Also, I wanted to make the school duel happen, but this time with a different school and opponent.

This little scene with Jaden and Celina wasn't supposed to be there when I first started writing this, but I still wrote it cause I think it is cute.

I didn't know how to approach this duel. Do I reveal the Destiny and Vision Heroes or do I make him play the Elemental Heroes, so I picked the latter. I wanted to make this duel into a slightly different way than the others in that Aster and Zane are both disrespectful and respectful between each other and not the other way.

The next duel is a whole ass duel chapter with Aster's backstory which would explain their friendship in the past, and two whole archetypes for Aster. Also think of this Aster as a composite version of Aster/Edo Phoenix. With the personality of the Anime GX, skills from the Arc V version, the manga cards and even the Planet monster from the Manga and the modern support of the live action duel from Last Year to show off their new Destiny and Neos cards.

I have 2 ideas for a one shot: The first one being that of Sasuke being in Endgame, helping out the Avengers because he is an Avenger, as the second one, Asta, Noelle Silva and Yuno Grinberryall being students from Class 2-a and 2-b as the Next Big Three of UA challenge Class 1-a in a match, but it is an actual one sided ass whopping.
