It is a bright and sunny day. Since Khonshu decided to stop going back to Harold, he thinks it is time he enjoys his hard earned money. Starting with getting his own food. He believes that he should use it wisely and responsibly. Spending it right so it can last for a few weeks or two.

Unfortunately, those thoughts flew out the window when Khonshu passed a bakeshop with baked cinnamon buns on sale. Khonshu bought 2 cinnamon buns on impulse, saying that he is simply testing his now human taste buds and not wasting money.

Just this one time, then I'll have to….is that free ice cream?!

Khonshu was passing a newly opened desert shop when he noticed there were free samples. And the god child quickly became enamored by the bright colors. He asked for a spoon from the sample lady. It is the first time in a long time that he tasted ice cream.

The sample lady's eyes stared at the homeless kid whose eyes are literally twinkling like stars. She blinked at this, swearing that it may be a trick of light from the heat.

They can't be that good, Mcdonalds ice cream that tastes better than these. She thought to herself. But she is glad to finally have some more customers since they opened, she gets extra for each customer she brings.

"Would you like another one? We have more flavors." she politely asked. Khonshu ended up tasting all the samples and bought one to go.

As he finished his Rose Stawberry Yogurt Parfait, he promised himself that he would stop buying desserts and the parfait would be the last one. Only to forget about it when he passed another dessert shop. This cycle went on for 5 more times. He already has tried cookies, lemon sorbets, cheese-covered fries and bought a rather pricey shawarma for lunch. Then Khonshu realized his pocket is now almost empty.

Mother Fucking shit , He thought to himself as he sat down on the steps of a large office building.

At least the shawarma tasted amazing , He tried to reason that he isn't hungry anymore. But he traded one problem for another.

He stood up and rubbed his face, realizing he would need to find new jobs now. Khonshu could go back to Zeke and ask for money, but he refused to out of embarrassment, and pride.

So, he tried looking for one himself. Asking around a few stores but they declined. Some say that he is too young, or too dirty. Khonshu took great offense to that last one and committed the store's name in his memory.

After he was declined again, Khonshu felt someone approach him. He turned around to see a blonde woman wearing a light brown cardigan. She had a calm face and simple smile.

"Hello there, I can see that you are asking around for a job. Maybe I can help." She said in a pleasant and friendly tone, almost melodic. Khonshu though, felt something underneath her smile. There is a dark aura in her heart, the child god knows she has plans.

The woman seems to sense his distrust but didn't back-out, as if she expected this, "I don't want to hurt you big guy. My husband and I can help you. It's not a permanent arrangement so you can leave if you want." She said, trying to be as polite as possible.

"I appreciate your concern Madam, but I'm afraid I will have to decline your offer. Now if you'll excuse me." Khonshu said and turned around. The woman quickly pounced forward to grab his arm, but Khonshu ducked just in time and ran across the busy street. Nearly getting run over by cars as he tried to get away. The woman just looked flabbergast at the runaway kid.

Khonshu didn't stop though, he kept running and made a left turn in an alleyway. Stopping only when he reached the other side. He managed to memorize the woman's face, clothes and other details. Unless she underwent complete facial reconstruction, changed her height and body mass, Khonshu can easily know.

Now that he has got away, he still has his current problem. As long as he avoids the woman and other malicious souls, he should be fine. While passing by, he asked an old man sweeping the front of his pub. He first looked at Khonshu, a little unsure. Then he agreed to give Khonshu a small job.

"Here, just stand outside holding this and repeat these words. Make it as loud as you can. You think you can do this kid?" The old man said.

Khonshu assured the elderly and stood outside the pub holding a sign saying "2+1 special". He also yelled the words, trying to get the attention of passersby. After a few hours he thanked the old man for his pay and left. He found another task, helping a moving company lift some small things. "Thanks kid, we're a bit understaffed right now so your help is greatly appreciated." The truck driver says. Khonshu later learns that he is also the owner of the company.

While the child god was moving a box filled with knick-knacks, he dropped a wooden toy and it rolled under the truck. He ducked down to get it, and he noticed something was wrong with the gears. Khonshu then informed the driver, but he didn't believe the kid.

"Sorry kid but you're not a mechanic. Most gears look the same to you." The driver said. Khonshu then went on to a discussion about the parts of the truck, the faulty repair on which gear, and that it is damaging the brakes. The driver was a bit taken at the detailed explanation and had to look under the truck for himself. His eyes widened, and called a mechanic to confirm it.

"How the hell did you know about this?" The driver asked. Khonshu just said, "Thank my older sibling. He is into this stuff, and I had to listen to him go on and on about Mechanical Engineering. I practically know more about cars than normal."

The driver laughed at this, "Family, amiright?" The driver then pulled a 10 dollar bill from his wallet and gave it to Khonshu.

"Take this kid, it's not much but you practically saved my company from being bankrupt. Those rusty gears would have destroyed the brakes and caused the truck to crash" Khonshu thanked the driver and watched them drive away until they disappeared in the traffic corner.

Just as he turned his head away from the street, across him is a blonde woman wearing a familiar cardigan. The woman also recognizes Khonshu, her eyes widened at the same time.

The two are now staring at each other, the air tense while everything else seems to blur in the background. Khonshu just calmly put the 10$ bill in his pocket and walk away. But his eyes are still on the woman, daring her to move. His body is fluid and full of confidence on each step, as if the he knows that the woman will just let him go. The woman tightens the grip on her handbag strap in response but doesn't move.

Unknown to everyone else, Khonshu's god eyes can see the aura of her soul and heart. It still has the same dark hue, but now he can see a slight reddish tint of adrenaline, alertness, anger and pent-up energy. Like a predator still choosing if it wants to watch, to pounce, or to run away. Khonshu also knows that she is also not happy that he got away the first time.

Khonshu kept eye contact until he is a good distance away to turn his head forward, but he still walked calmly until he is sure the woman can't see him anymore. Khonshu started to walk faster, then he is sprinting. He suspects that the woman will try to follow him so he is trying to put as much distance between him and the woman.

When he finally stopped, Khonshu also realized he can't go back to the theater now; he will just lead her to Fran and Zeke. He hates to admit it, but he is very grateful to the two boys, and does not want anything bad to happen to them.

Khonshu looks up to see the sky is now slightly darker.

An hour before twilight , he thinks. He will have to find a place to sleep now, hopefully some place safe.

It took a while to search for one. He decided against open spaces like parks and benches. He tried hiding in alley ways but was shoo-ed off by the people who already occupying it.

As the day finally night, Khonshu can feel it sing to his soul. A Lullaby of the stars that he can only hear. But now, Khonshu can only hear an echo of it. As if it is kept behind layers and layers of invisible walls. This saddens him greatly.

Khonshu still kept in the shadows, but now his Godly senses have greatly increased, so much so that he can allows himself to have two sets of eyes now. One on his human face, and another in the sky. But there is only so much he can see without giving him a headache. And other problems.

Bam!

He was too busy looking down, using the moon as his metaphorical and literal eye in the sky that he didn't realize that walked straight to a wall.

Ouch…Motherf'cking, f'cker... Khonshu thought repeatedly as he touched his nose. He describes his new vision as having two extremely detailed images layered on top of each other. And they blur together so he needs to focus on one while disregarding the other to get a more coherent picture, than just a huge mess of colors and lines.

Let me try that again, Khonshu thought. Then focused, his eyes slightly glow as he changes his focus from the eyes on his face, to his eye in the night sky. Then in his head, he can see the whole city, the people and traffic. He focused again, zooming in until he could see the alley he was currently hiding and see himself leaning on the wall, staring at nothing.

Is that how I look like ? He thought to himself. To others it would look like any other homeless kid hiding in the shadows. He also realized his body is now vulnerable since it is just standing there.

Khonshu then tried to see if he can find the woman wearing the brown cardigan. He scanned the neighborhood around him and found her. On the block next to him, walking toward his direction.

For the love of Mut! He cursed to himself. Khonshu returned his vision back to the ground and looked around, trying to find someplace to hide but all he found was a large open dumpster. He looked once again at the main road, knowing that the woman is going to pass by in 3 minutes.

Desperate, the child god took a deep breath and climbed in the open dumpster. He decided to close the lid for extra security. But he is starting to regret it once he realizes the smell is trapped in with him.

Khonshu waited while also trying to not breath through his nose as much as he could. He decided to try and expand his vision to the sky again to see if the woman is close or not.

In his mind's eye, Khonshu can see the woman walk towards the direction of the alley he is hiding. He kept on watching but the intense smell of trash was starting to give him a headache and slowly lose focus. As soon as the woman finally passed and is 3 blocks away, Khonshu quickly stopped his clairvoyance, opened the dumpster lid and took a huge breath. He then clumsily dragged himself out of the dumpster, falling on his back and stayed there for a few seconds as he tries to get his bearings.

Ugh , He thought. Officially deciding that he despises the smell of garbage.

Khonshu finally got up and looked at the bright full moon. He knows that it's not scheduled for one, but the city does have the cult of his Other self anyway, so he just hopes that everyone will think it is the other Khonshu.

He went the other direction of the woman, trying to put as much distance as he could for a while. Once he felt safe enough, he sat down and decided to once again, expand his senses.

Up above, the moon faintly blinked for a very split second. This went unnoticed by practically everyone. But one man would have noticed this, if he was outside. Currently the man is dressed in black and talking to someone inside his clinic, oblivious to the slight change to the moon.

There is another one, but he is choosing to not notice, listen or pay attention to the moon as much as he can.

Back in an alley, Khonshu is once again, scanning the streets from the sky. He finally found the woman that tried to grab him, a good distance away from him too.

That's good, at least I won't run into her again. He thought.

Out of curiosity, Khonshu continues to watch her. She is just standing there, clearly waiting for someone. Then a bulky man approached her. He looks like your common thug that spends most of his time in bars. The two appear to be arguing about something. The woman becoming more aggressive as each second goes, then the man left.

Khonshu can't hear what they are saying, being limited to sight only. But he can still see their aura. Then another man approached the woman, but this time he is accompanied with a little girl, the amount of dirt on her clothes indicate that she is also homeless. The woman's body language changes to a more friendly one as she talks to the little girl. The same mannerism as when she talked to Khonshu. The little girl looks tense at first, but after a while she starts to be more relaxed. Enough that the woman is now bringing the little girl inside a car. The woman shortly talked to the man who brought the little girl, before she went to the driver's side of the car. Got in and drove off.

Where are you taking her? Khonshu thought. His first plan of putting as much distance between him and the woman is now put on hold.

Khonshu contemplated what to do next. He can't just leave now that he knows of the woman's intentions. If he tried to catch them later, it might be too late. Khonshu gritted his teeth as he watched the car drive off.

Khonshu knows he can't teleport now, and he really wished he could. He quickly lowered his clairvoyance and ran out of the alley. Looking around for anyone and noticed a police car driving down the road. Without thinking, he jumped in front of it. The car immediately swiveled sideward hard, trying to avoid hitting Khonshu.

"Are you crazy kid?! Do you want to be run over?" The policewoman yelled.

"I need your help; a little girl is being taken right now." Khonshu ignored the angry officer. The policewoman is still a bit pissed at the suicidal street kid, but she is quickly processing what said he is saying.

"What do you mean taken, like kidnapped?" the officer asked, now intrigued and alert. The honks on the cars behind her are getting louder. She realized they are still in the middle of the road and starting a traffic jam.

"No time, they are leaving right now." Khonshu said, running to the passenger side and trying to open the door. The officer debated on unlocking, skeptical that it might be a trap. She finally let Khonshu in, but now she is hit with a horrible stench of garbage.

"Christ you smell." The officer said.

"I was hiding in a dumpster but that's not important. Now drive. They are heading south towards Brooklyn." Khonshu said. The officer just looked at the smelly kid, but she made a quick U-turn.

"How do you know this?" The officer said.

"I saw a woman bring a homeless child in a car" Khonshu said, impatient. "And if you're wondering, I hid inside dumpster so she won't see me. That's why I smell like this." He spoke.

"Are you sure the woman is even kidnapping the kid, she might just be helping her?" The officer said as they drove off. Khonshu is getting impatient at these questions.

"The woman said the same thing to me but tried to grab me after I said no this morning. I got away. She has done this before!" Khonshu tried to explain as calmly as he could but he could not help but yell those last words.

"Calm down kid. It's standard protocol, I can't just believe everything you say right away without evidence." The officer said, Khonshu just glared at her.

That is one annoying and impatient kid, the officer thought.

"Okay, so the woman who tried to kidnap you. Can you describe her and the car?" The officer asked. And Khonshu did that.

"The car is a second-hand 2010 Black Toyota. License plate number 653BBC, it's slightly bent and may be fake so check the material of the paint. The car has a huge scratch on the left side and a statue of liberty sticker on the back window, a sticker of captain America's shield and Ironman's mask on the front window."

The officer side-eyes her passenger, "How did you know all of these things?"

"I have a photographic memory." Khonshu said.

"That's, too convenient." The officer commented.

"I have to officer, living on the road is not easy and I need to pay close attention to the faces of people."

The officer stays silent after that. She then radioed her colleagues, repeating everything Khonshu said.

"On it Grey"

A voice said, one of Grey's colleagues who happens to be in the area.

" Grey, I think I found the woman that matches your description. Her name is Catlyn Grace, 10-year residence of New York. Her past records look clean though. She also had multiple trips outside the country."

Grey's colleague then radio-ed that they found the car parked in a parking lot. But it's empty. They also confirmed that the license plate is fake.

"Don't you have some high-tech surveillance to detect faces or something like that?" Khonshu asked.

"I'm not Stark Kid. While we do have some equipment, it's never as advanced as the Avengers." Grey said.

"Go to the parking lot officer, there should be some clues left behind. We can still catch up." Khonshu said.

"Are you always this bossy?" Grey said but she drove much faster now.

"I was told plenty of times." Khonshu said.

As soon as they reached the parking lot, there was another police car already there. Khonshu also excused himself to go to a nearby portable bathroom.

"Maybe you should wash your, Everything." Grey suggested.

"This is not the time for that officer." Khonshu just says as he speeds walks. Grey scrunches her nose, now dreading that the kid is going to smell like trash for the rest of the night. And that she will need to clean the interior of her police car.

When Khonshu reached the portable toilet, he locked the door, took a seat on the closed lid and closed his eyes. Once again, expanding his senses to the sky and looking down on the city.

I'll have to be quick about this. He thought as he scans everything surrounding the now abandoned car. There is a problem he found; he can't look inside buildings.

Fuck, he thought. Usually, he would just materialize inside the building like an unseen ghost. It used to annoy him since it also keeps him from interacting properly with just about anything, but now it is something he wished he could do right now.

Then he saw something, on the window of a high-Storey building. Something moved passed by an open window, then another. It's only for a split-second, but it's enough for the child god to rewind it in his head, zoom in, and see the face. It is the girl, followed by Catlyn.

Khonshu quickly wetted his hands and returned to the police officers. There Officer Grey and her colleague are looking inside the car, trying to find clues. They explained that they found candy wrappers, tokens, coins and a torn cloth and oddly, multiple blank ID's. The passenger seat also has some dirt on it, but it is obvious whoever used it made sure not to leave anything suspicious.

Khonshu thought about telling Grey about what he saw, but then he will need to explain how he knows. The child god can tell that Grey is already suspicious of him, and this is only going to make it worst.

"Hey Kid, your back. The car completely matches what you say, but the woman is gone now." Grey said.

"We'll look into the surveillance camera's around here and ask people if they saw anything." Her friend said, holding a flashlight inside the black vehicle.

Khonshu eyed the gun on their belt. And he realized that he has no such weapons to defend himself if Catlyn fights him.

I should have searched for knife in that dumpster, He thought.

"Officer, you should look at that high rise building next." Khonshu said, pointing one a few blocks away. Deciding he should just tell them.

"Why?" Grey slowly asked.

"The woman, Catlyn and the little girl may be inside." Khonshu said, trying to be as simple as he can be.

"I mean, why should I believe you. Your just saying things out of nowhere now." Grey demanded.

"I was right about the car and the woman." Khonshu said, then in the last minute he added. "I have this ability, like clairvoyance."

"So, your psychic?" Grey's colleague asked.

"Fine, I'm psychic." Khonshu played along, "So we please go now?" He spoke.

"Lead the way since your the only one who apparently knows anything there. And this is Jerome" Grey said as Jerome waved a small hello. Khonshu lead them to the large 10-storey building, but he suddenly stopped when they were close.

"We can't go through the front, someone might see us." He said.

Grey and Jerome didn't look so sure but they agreed to walked around it. They found the emergency door in the back. And as they approached it, Khonshu felt something was off on the floor.

He kneeled and saw what looked like a string. A simple and clean red thread. It was so thin, and it looked almost invisible. Khonshu also realized it goes around the entire building, and some spots have dirt over it. Like they are trying to hide it.

An attempt to make a protective spell? He thought. Just to be sure though he asked his two companions if they had a sharp knife with them.

"I have a knife, why do you need it? The doors open." Jerome said as he opened his pocketknife.

"I just need you to cut this string." Khonshu said, showing the thread to the officers.

"Um, okay. This isn't some magic mojo or anything like that?" He asked, but he bent down and cut the string.

Immediately, Khonshu felt a sudden disturbance in the air, like something was finally lifted.

It really is a spell. He thought.

"You okay kid? You look a bit pale for a minute." Grey said, she and Jerome are looking at him. Khonshu realized he dazed off.

"I'm okay." he said,

"So, it really is a magic mojo, God I hate magic." Jerome said to himself. Khonshu then lead them to the elevator and pressed the button for the 7th floor. The same floor where he saw the silhouette of the Catlyn.

"I have a feeling that they are on the 7th floor." Khonshu explained. The two officers look at each other, and at the kid.

One of them, Jerome, leaned towards the policewoman and whispered. "Are you sure we can trust this kid?" Jerome said.

"I'm not sure but his descriptions are way too accurate to be fake. He was right about the car and Catlyn." Grey whispered back.

Khonshu can hear it, but he doesn't care about that right now. He is more concerned about getting the little girl out in time.

By the time they reached the 7th floor. He directed them to a door and knocked twice. Nothing happened so he knocked again, louder and more aggressively this time. Still nothing happened so Grey tried again and said loudly. "Hello, Miss Catlyn Grace? We're just here to ask a few questions."

Then after a tense minute, footsteps can be heard, and the door opened a bit. Showing the face of a woman with black hair.

Khonshu quickly moved behind Jerome.

"Sorry but you got the wrong person. My name is Linda." She said. Grey continues to talk to her, trying to get Linda to open the door wide enough or show an identification card.

Khonshu quickly whispered to Jerome. "She died her hair black a few minutes ago, it's still wet with water. That is Catlyn Grace, I recognize that nose and voice anywhere." Jerome is a bit taken by the kid's sudden whisper, but he kept his face calm. Resisting the urge to look behind him.

Grey is still trying to talk to Linda to open the door more. But Linda is getting more defensive, making up excuses and threats about police invading her privacy.

This is taking too long , Khonshu thought and just moved out from behind Jerome. Linda's eyes suddenly widened at seeing Khonshu.

"Hello again. Remember me? I do since you tried to kidnap me earlier today." He said.

Linda quickly shut the door after that, clicks can be heard behind the door. Then Grey started banging the door down with her foot, it took a few more times before the hinges finally broke. And the three stormed inside, with Grey and Jerome bringing out their guns. They also heard Linda or Catlyn yelling at someone in the next room.

"You said this building is secure! How did two cops get inside?!" She yelled at her phone. On the bed is a sleeping girl, she is clean and just finished taking a shower. But she didn't seem disturbed by the noise around her.

Immediately the two cops tried to arrest the woman, but Catlyn pulled something from her bag. It looked like a grenade and she threw it. The grenade starts to release gas. Grey and Jerome quickly hid behind the walls. While they were distracted, Catlyn opened the full-size wardrobe, showing a hidden passageway. Khonshu managed to run ahead, holding his breath enough to grab the grenade and tried to throw it out the window. But the window glass was there so Khonshu grabbed the closest desk lamp and threw it out to break the glass, then threw the grenade. The open window will also get the gas to escape.

Khonshu quickly followed Catlyn through the still open passageway. He is a bit nauseous, his eyes and his throat now burns but he tried to stay awake. He saw Catlyn heading towards the balcony. Immediately he tackled her legs as hard before she could reach the window handle.

"Get off you brat!" She said when she fell on the floor. Catlyn tried to wrestle Khonshu off her legs, punching and pulling his hair, but the kid refused to move. She then pulled a small gun from inside her handbag and tried to shoot her assailant. The mortal god quickly moved to the side. The bullet hit his hip but he still maintained his death grip on the woman's legs. Catlyn then aimed at Khonshu's head.

At that moment, Grey ran through the wardrobe passage, followed by Jerome. The police officer saw Catlyn holding a gun toward Khonshu, and she didn't hesitate to shoot the woman twice. But the Grey now noticed that the kid isn't moving, there is also fresh blood coming from the bullet hole on his forehead.

"Kid!" Grey quickly pulled Khonshu away and checked his pulse.

"He's still alive! Jerome called reinforcements and get a towel. He's losing a lot of blood." Grey yelled. Jerome handcuffed Catlyn, who is also barely alive. Then he called radio-ed for help as he ransacked the room for a towel.

The emergency room of Brooklyn Hospital Center is used to people with bullet wounds, stabs, lost limbs and interdimensional injuries. Tonight is no different and their newest patient is rather ordinary compared to all the other stuff but still as important. A 13 year old child with 2 bullet wounds.

Immediately the doctors went to work, skills honed from years of experience.

As they work to keep the nameless kid alive, Officer Grey is being interrogated by her superior. An older serious-looking male.

"So your saying that this kid jumped in front of your car, nearly got run over and just told you about the kidnapping?" he asked. Grey nodded.

"He said that the woman tried to take him, but he got away. So it makes sense that he would be familiar with her face. Then he claim to have seen Catlyn take a little girl inside her car while he was hiding inside a dumpster." Grey explained.

"That would explain why your patrol car smell like garbage." Grey's supervisor said. The two looked at the door to the operating room.

"What were you even thinking Grey? Bringing a 13-year-old with you. You could just have left him outside the building" The Supervisor said. Grey became defensive, trying to explain that it was the kid who insisted on coming.

"He was the one who knew about where Catlyn is and lead us to her. I mean, everything he said is very detailed, down to the room number." Grey said

"He also claims to be psychic, Clairvoyance, was it?" Jerome added.

"And a photographic memory. Not to mention that red thread he found. He went a bit dazed after Jerome cut it, like he felt something. I suspect it was magic that can conceal what is inside since it encircled the whole structure. I don't know what to imagine if we got inside without cutting the string first." Grey finished.

"Yeah, well, this is not looking good. A 13-year old civilian, psychic or not, got shot in the head while you were on duty. It's a miracle he is still alive." The supervisor commented. Grey then thought about the other kid. "How about the other one, the girl." she said.

"She is in stable condition. The doctors say that she was under medication by the time you arrived. They are still flushing out the drugs, but she'll be fine. Better than the other kid." The supervisor replied. He glanced at the operation room door, then back to Grey.

"This kid though. I can't find any records about him. No images, no ID, even from other states. It's like he just appeared out of nowhere." he said.

This peaked Grey's interest. "Nothing?"

"No, there were some surveillance footages of him walking around the city, but it is only dated 3 months ago. Before that, nothing." The Supervisor said. The three are quiet after that.

"You think he could be an alien? From another country like a stowaway, or the space kind?" Grey asked.

"I didn't say that, but this kid is something else. We're just lucky that he seems to care about stopping crime than causing it. Granted his methods are what I call reckless and suicidal." The supervisor said.

"I just hope this won't be a problem in the future. It's beyond our jurisdiction to deal with aliens, magic or stubborn psychic kids." He added.

"Hey, we can always call the Avengers for that, or SHIELD." Jerome suggested.

"Ugh, don't remind me. I don't want to deal with their nosy ass right now." The Supervisor said as he remembered his previous conversation with Stark, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill.

"It's not our paperwork Sir." Grey said.

"No, it's mine and the paperwork is hell. Not to mention their habit of hacking our records all the time." The Supervisor said. "Anyway, I expect your report on this Grey. And about the kidnapper lady, she's in critical condition and can't talk right now." He finished.

"In my defense, she shot a kid in the head." Grey said. The supervisor looked at his watch, and then his phone.

"I better go and file my report. Take care of yourself Grey, you too Jerome. Have a good night" The supervisor waved goodbye as he left. The other two said good night to their boss.

"Quite a night Grey." Jerome said casually. "Didn't expect to be cracking down on a kidnapping case that have a hint of magic mojo." He said, but Jerome can tell that Grey is still feeling bad about the kid.

"Hey, he'll make it. He looks like a fighter, even took on the lady by himself" He tried to assure his friend.

"And got shot at Jerome. That's just stupid of him, he should have just left it to us instead." Grey said.

The two stayed in the hospital for another hour, sitting in the waiting area until the operation room door finally opened. The head doctor stepped out and approached the two officers.

"The boy will be fine. We had a few close calls, but he is stubborn in not dying..." He spoke.

Grey can tell that the doctor is not finished yet, she is familiar with them saying the good news first before the bad.

"But I'm afraid that he'll be asleep for a long time." The doctor finished.

"What do you mean, a long time?" Grey asked.

"He is still unconscious from the bullet would, he also has burns in his lung and parts of his eyes are irritated, but the bullet wound is the most serious. But we are not sure if he will even wake up after that. He will most likely be in a coma for now, the rest is up to him" The doctor explained to the two officers.

Grey felt horrible at this, she never liked the idea of civilians dying or suffering in her watch. Jerome can tell and once again tried to reassure his colleague. "What matters is that he'll live, and so will that little girl. And we managed to stop Catlyn Grace, if it is her real name." He spoke.

Grey just rubs her face, trying to stay focused. She still has that kidnapper lady, Catlyn Grace, to deal with. The police officer just hopes that the kidnapper will wake up soon, because Grey have some questions.

Inside a certain abandoned hotel, where a certain man made it his residence. There is a room he turned into a temple to a god he claims to not "worship". A certain Knight is not present, busy with his own case of punching malicious vampires. Leaving the room empty except for a large, lifeless Statue that seems to stare at your very soul.

Snap...

A small crack suddenly appeared on the statue's forehead. Then Another, and another. The tiny snapping sound echoed on the empty room as more cracks appeared, forming the shape of a deep hole. A hole that is the size of a bullet. Another similar hole also appeared on the left hip of the Statue. Red liquid starts to leak from the crack and eyes, staining the face of the statue with streaks of bloody red. This goes on until one drop falls on the carpeted floor.

Then just as fast as they appeared, the cracks started to disappear. The red blood also starts to fade away until the Statue is pristine white again.
