Dawn had won the Floaroma Contest and her friends were very proud of her. Kenny admitted that she did a good job and hoped to go against her again at the next contest.
After the Pokémon contest was over, the gang could continue their journey. But first Ember had something to do. She had been thinking about evolving Philotes (Togetic), Morgana (Misdreavus), Kirlia (Lancelot) and Dolan (Murkrow), and she phoned Prof. Oak about it.
"[I think it's a good idea to evolve those three Ember,]" Prof. Oak said,
"[Philotes, Morgana, Lancelot and Dolan are strong and ready to evolve.]" He called Philotes, Morgana, Lancelot and Dolan over so Ember could talk to them.
"Hey Philotes, Morgana, Lancelot and Dolan," Ember greeted, "I want to ask you three if you wish to evolve to Togekiss, Mismagius, Gallade and Honchkrow?"
Prof. Oak showed the Pokémon pictures of Togekiss, Mismagius, Gallade and Honchkrow.
Philotes, Morgana, Lancelot and Dolan took a look and said that they did want to evolve. So Prof Oak sent them over to Ember, while Ember sent over Hana (Budew), Sora (Staravia) and Silas (Turtwig). Then the call ended.
Ember sent out Philotes, Morgana, Lancelot and Dolan. Then Ember took out her Dusk and Shiny stone out from her backpack. First, she touched Philotes with the Shiny Stone, and then Philotes glowed and evolved into Togekiss. Then she touched Lancelot with the Dawn Stone and evolved into Gallade. Next Ember touched Morgana with the Dusk Stone and Morgana evolved into a Mismagius. Then at last Ember touched Dolan with the Dusk stone and he evolved into a Honchkrow.
Philotes, Dolan, Lancelot and Morgana were happy that they evolved. Then Ember returned them, sent them back to Prof Oak and brought back Sora, Silas and Hana.
"Well now that's over let's start heading out for Eterna City." Brock decided.
"Hold on a minute," Dawn interrupted, "There's something I want to do first."
Dawn explained she wanted to go to the Valley Windworks. The Valley Windworks was a power plant east of Floaroma Town, where they made electricity with wind power. "Once a week a swarm of Drifloon ends up flying there and it gives trainers a chance to catch them," She said, "and the swarm will be here today and I want to get one."
Ember looked at Drifloon on her phone:
[Drifloon, the Balloon Pokémon. Drifloon is filled with air and can either expand or shrink to express its feelings. It also likes damp weather.]
Drifloon were purple with two small black eyes, a yellow cross on the face, hair that looked like a cloud and it had two tentacles with yellow heart shapes at the end. It also looked like a balloon.
"Wow, I want one too." Ember said.
Alain and Brock wanted to check it out too, so the first stop was the Valley Windworks.
When the gang arrived, the owner of the power plant welcomed them. He kept an eye on trainers when they turned up to catch a Drifloon, and he made sure that no one caught more than one, especially a whole swarm. The rule was to catch one Drifloon per week. It wasn't long till the swarm of Drifloon turned up and Dawn used her Piplup to catch a Drifloon and Ember used Tesla. Dawn and Ember were happy with their new captures. Satisfied now that Ember and Dawn captured a Drifloon each from Valley Windworks, the gang could now start their journey for Eterna City.
