Note: Glady you guys are enjoying this story! yes i love bringing Ryan and Carter into my stories. I know not much action but it will pick up in the next couple of chapters.
"Oh my heavens make it go away!" Cayleigh groaned as her blinds were ripped open and the sun poured in. "Tommy i hate you".
"No you don't now get up your being kidnapped today". He told her as she covered her head up with her pillow.
"That's a crime". She glared at him. She sat up and put her hair up. She tilted her head when her eyes noticed the white blanket and bear next to her. "Wait, Tommy where did this come from i have seen this in three years"
"You'll see". He led her to the living room. Cayleigh's lip trembled at who was asleep on his couch. "He got here late last night while you were asleep. He brought your blanket and bear to me and i had to tell him."
Cayleigh watched in silence as Ryan Mitchell was dead to the world. She shared an evil look with her brother. "How about a nice wake up call?"
"Cay your 17 not 6".
"So?"
"Fine".
Cayleigh ran over and jumped and landing her butt on Ryan's belly. "OOF!" He groaned.
"Morning sunshine, how are we this morning?" Cayleigh said amused.
"Funny." He rolled to his side causing her to land in the floor. "Gosh i missed you so much". Ryan whispered pulling her into his arms.
"I missed you to, so much you will never know". She told him as they pulled away. "But i'm home to stay"
"Good, now as much as i love the look you might want to go get dressed" Ryan laughed out.
She huffed and stoof up. "Excuse me but your breath is not exactly minty fresh either".
"Kids!" Tommy yelled. Cayleigh glared playfully at her brother and went to shower. Tommy groaned in amusment as the coffee he was drinking suddenly turned to ice. "Thanks Cay iced coffee was what i really wanted!"
"Your welcome" She called from her room. After twenty minutes she emerged from her room in capri's and a blue tank top.
"So what are we doing today?" She asked her brother.
"I am going to head to Blue Bay and get your stuff, i texted Cam and he said to come by. You are being kidnapped by Ryan for the day". He told her. "Its either that or i put you to work fixing up your room?"
"Ryan lets go!" Cayleigh called quickly dragging the veteran ranger out the front door. "Bye Tommy love you!"
Mariner Bay...
Ryan pulled up in his truck and parked it at the beach. "God i missed this place". Cay spoked getting out. "It never changes".
"No it doesn't, the family and i still come here every weekend and have a fire. Now that your back you can always join us. Cayleigh i know we're not blood but you are a huge part of my life and your part of my family". He told her wrapping an arm around her. "That will never change"
She leaned into him. "I know i wouldn't have it any other way.".
"I know you have been through alot. I'm here to listen if you ever want to tell me". He assured her. "Come on lets go have some fun"
After an hour of playing games Cayleigh sat on a bench with three bears that she had won. Ryan sat with two. They were eating cotton candy. "I swear those games are rigged". He complained.
"Or your age is playing a factor". She giggled.
"Very funny"
"Ryan i want to thank you for this. I needed it and i wanted to thank you for bringing my blanket back to me you have no idea what that means to me".
He smiled at her. "Come on lets go home".
Reefside...
Tommy was covered in aqua blue paint as he heard the door open. "Tommy you home?"
"Yeah Jase in here". Tommy called as his best friend joined him.
"I hope your just doing that colour for fun because i thought you were black this time around". Jason joked. Tommy swallowed. "Tommy are you okay?"
"Uh?" Tommy stuttered. "Jase"
Jason noticed something different. "Tommy has someone been staying here?" He asked the black ranger in the room. They both turned as they heard laughter enter the house.
"Tommy i'm home!" Jason shared a glance with Tommy at the voice.
"In here". Tommy called. Jason stormed out of the room and came face to face with the girl he thought he lost six months ago.
Cayleigh heard footsteps on top of the landing and locked eyes with the man. "Jason"
"You? your alive?" Jason managed. "This whole time!".
"Jason plea-" She tried but he cut her off.
"No" He looked as Tommy came out. "How long have you known?"
"Since yesterday Jason i swear" Tommy tried but he was afraid this would happen. "Its not her fault she hid".
"Cayleigh we mourned you! whatever you went though you should have known after all these years you could have come to us but no you were a coward and ran away. Like brother like sister i guess." He barked walking out the door. Cayleigh followed him.
"Jason please let me explain!" She cried.
"What could you possibly say to change this! Look i'm sorry you lost a friend but we lost a family member. Someone who held us together when times were tough but here you stand before me alive and well. The Cayleigh i knew would have came to us but the Cayleigh before me must doubt us and doubt us enough to think we would be ashamed of her."
Cay felt the harshness of his words tear through her like a knife."If you want to go then go i won't stop you but know this Jason i'm still the same girl. Everyone goes through a trial in their ranger life that impacts their ranger journey. I went through mine just like you did. just like Ryan and Tommy did. They accepted it so your also a coward for running from hearing mine" She stated as she walked to the backyard.
Jason got on his bike and sped away. Tommy shook his head and went to find his sister. He found her sitting on the back deck. "He'll come around".
She scoffed. "I don't care,if he says he cared for me like he always did he wouldn't have acted that way. Ryan's in the lab if you need him."
They got up as they heard a car. Conner, Ethan and Kira met them inside. "Hey guys, this is my sister Cayleigh. Cay these are the dino thunder rangers".
"Hey its nice to meet you all" Cay greeted with a smile.
Tommy led them down to the lab. "Here". He took his sister's left wrist. "Its yours now". He told her as she looked at the silver bracelet that held an aqua blue dino gem.
"Another blue awesome" Ethan cheered giving her a high five.
"Yes another girl!" Kira yelled hugging her.
"She really knows how to make everyone family doesn't she" Ryan whispered from the corner.
"She does, tis who she is". Tommy replied quetly with a proud smile.
POP!
They all turned as Naya busted Conner's soccer ball.
"Oh come on!" Conner groaned. Naya looked up and tlted her head. "Cayleigh why couldn't she have been a dog."
Cayleigh giggled. "Conner my friend you think this is bad, you have not seen anything, you don't seem afraid?"
"No when said you were coming after being in Mariner Bay, we stopped by and he told her who Naya was to you". Conner answered somewhat calm. "Also how cool is it you know the titanium ranger?"
"Pretty cool we have a history, i am close to alot of rangers Conner some more than others." She told him. Her mind going to Jason.
"Cayleigh i will have an ATV made for you but we haven't found your raptor rider egg yet" Hayley told her walking next to her.
"Thanks Hayley. Its okay if you haven't found it i might not need it" She told her with a grin.
"How will you keep up?" Kira asked looking at her raptor. They all shared a glance. Cayleigh rolled her eyes and led everyone outside.
"Stand back i haven't done this in awhile, see my animal spirt is an eagle. When i was possessed Moya her mind and body tapped into it so when i was me again i was taught how to use her powers as my own. I need a lift". Caylegih took a few steps back, she sprinted landing one of her feet in Tommy's hand as he lauched her in the air. "Spirit of the sky! IGNITE!" She called as two silver and blue wings appeared on her back.
"Wow!" Kira exclaimed as she watched her new friend twirl in the air.
"Show off" Ryan yelled.
Cayleigh landed with a giggle as her winds vanished. "I haven't done tnat in a long tme"
"Girl you rock!" Conner told her.
"Tommy do i have a zord?"
"No i haven't found it". He told her.
"Oh well i guess i will stay ground level" She said raising an eyebrow crossing her arms.
"its okay is used to it by now and now he won't be as lonely" Ethan joked ingoring the look his teacher was sending his way.
They burst out laughing as they walked inside. Tommy hung his head. "Ryan she's free for the taking anytime."
Ryan laughed running behind the teens leaving Tommy lagging. "Zordon give me strength to do this" He whispered as he walked inside.
"Cay i am going to head home but you are always welcome to visit" Ryan told her giving her a hug. "You all can come anytime. You need anything you call"
They all nodded at him as he left the house. The four rangers went and plopped on the couch. The two girls in the middle with the guys on the ends.
"Cayleigh i am going to order out since those three are here to". Tommy informed them. The four shared a glance.
"PIZZA!" They yelled in unison. Tommy grinned and left the house. They rolled their eyes as he locked the door behind him.
"Get used to it, rangers or not he was always protective like that. Tommy may have a hero complex but he really does have a big heart" Cayleigh spoke. "Most red rangers do".
Conner looked at her. "Do you know all the reds?"
"I know most of them, some i still talk to and there are some i don't. Conner i know you haven't been a ranger for long but every leader has doubts" She told him.
"I have never heard of that before". He spoke quietly.
"Its true, Carter Grayson the red lightspeed ranger had doubts because of something that happened. Look if you ever want to talk to him about it let me know". She told him patting his shoulder.
The door unlocked as Tommy came back with the food. "Help please". Kira jumped up and took the smoothies from him while Cay took the food.
They all enjoyed each others company as they ate. Tommy washed up taking in every laugh and smile the four teens shared.
