Chapter 49

Philippine Dart

Terribly sorry to divert back to the main adventure BUT the main tail must flow on. Besides we didn't miss much for the boat ride was calm and relaxing. When they made it to the capital of the Philippines they realized that um… he was in the south of the country not north. Okay he was in Cebu but that's still further south and quite far when they asked Jack why he didn't go, he simply said that he wasn't allowed in the inlet waters of the Philippines. Fair but now it was a pain in the ass for the group. So they made there trek by ferry which took about a day to get to. When they came to Cebu it was daunting.

It didn't seem like a city Kai would live in BUT Tsu lives in a big city so no biggie. They began there venture and this time stuck together. They made it to a hotel he seemed to be living in and all looked up at it. It wasn't the tallest but it was tall, and showed age even. Kiralexia sighed and asked Midoriya and Bakugou to go in to find him instead. On why, Kiralexia gave his answer. Two people would fit in the rooms, not 40, as it didn't look like the rooms were large. Both sighed and Bakugou snapped at Kiralexia for this. When they entered Kiralexia told everyone to… well have fun as while they were hunting old members they might as well have fun on what could be seen as a big vacation. Aizawa however decided to follow Bakugou and Midoriya, for an adult would help them out. Kiralexia agreed and stayed around the area to wait for them while everyone else went out.

When Rasputin asked if he worried if they'd lose them Kiralexia relaxed him by saying they all had phones and could contact each other, like back in Korea. Rasputin agreed on that forgetting about it and decided to stay with Kiralexia to make idle talk with him.

Back in the Hotel the three were going up to the 5th floor to find the room the hotel clerk told them of. Thankfully the clerk was at least somewhat aware of why they were there and allowed them to do this. Reaching the room he was in they knocked, calling to him. Midoriya said he knew his Niece, as a way to ease him. No response. Another knocked, Aizawa said he was a pro hero and was requested to find him for a friend. No response again. Bakugou slammed the door open, breaking the lock it had and yelled for him to come out.

What they saw inside looked a bit drab. The room was rather worn but at least clean, with the sheets of the bed tossed around and a few empty bags around. Well alright not clean but cleaner then what they were thinking. They walked through and saw the kitchen and living room were connected, meaning yes this was one of those sofas that turned into a bed. The three could see signs of cooking in the kitchen, looks recent to, and the TV was still on. However where they looked showed no signs of Kaito Asui anywhere. The only real sign was the device the others had on the coffee table in the living room. The device pings to somewhere else and the locator itself was next to it. These where the only signs he lived here. The three looked to each other and realized what the TV was on when they heard the voice on it.

"Well honestly Vanelis I can handle but Kai? Woof that will be hard to talk with again."

"Come now, Kai will come out that building and give us his greatest hug he'd give."

"Sure but… you held a grudge against me, what if he's the same?" Kiralexia said from the TV.

Kai was watching this, perhaps not for long but at least a bit. This made more sense, the others would be watching to if for but just a moment. In that case, then where the hell is he? Either out shopping or…

"In a pool." Bakugou said with a bit of anger.

He held a note from Kai and it pretty much said he was at some pool nearby. But from the sounds of things, the place was probably closed. Meaning he has permission so he's out now swimming for exercise and relaxation.

"Lucky bastard, went all for nothing then." Bakugou spat upset at the whole ordeal.

"Not entirely true he was nice enough to write this so clearly he was aware of us coming."

"Or for the cleaning crew."

"True but hey this place seems close by so let's get going. Might be able to catch him before it's to late." Aizawa said walking out of the room.

The three then left and walked out to see Kiralexia speaking to Rasputin still. Vanelis also was there, though not earlier, and he just accepted what they could gather, insults to him. When the three got closer Rasputin waved at them and Kiralexia stood up more straight and got up to Aizawa confused. He was expecting Kai to be with them yet he wasn't.

"Where's Kai?"

"Apparently he may be aware of us being around and now he's at some pool in the area."

"*sigh* I feared this would be the case. Alright let's go to this pool." Kiralexia said clapping his hands together.

Thus the small group of people began there small venture towards the pool. When they got there, they saw the sign said it was closed, figured. However someone was at the till and reading a magazine. Kiralexia just chuckled and said they probably just put it up so he could have the pool for himself. Either that or it isn't open due to time, seeing when it was opened and the time it was now. Rasputin then began smiling and tried getting into the pool but Kiralexia stopped him right in his tacks.

"Hold it, last time I wasn't able to surprise Min-Jun I wanna surprise Kai. So let's stay out here and."

"AH!" A female voice cried from behind. Kiralexia turned to see it was Hina rubbing there head.

"Stop Hina from doing anything else stupid." Kiralexia said with a groan.

The three before just allowed Kiralexia to walk up to Hina and smack her head and scold her. Looks like she accepted it, better then her son in more ways once again. The three tried not to think about it and opened the door which was… unlocked for some reason and got the secretaries attention. She dropped her magazine and was about to tell them to leave until she saw Aizawa. She quickly became quiet and allowed Aizawa to speak.

"We're here looking for a Kaito Asui. Is he here?"

"Uh yes, in the pool, but I must warn you. We don't allow others to enter when he's here, liked the privacy."

"Noted, we'll make sure to respect what he's doing. Come on problem children let's get our frog." Aizawa said moving forward with Midoriya and Bakugou following suit.

They entered into a big area with a swimming pool and hot tub in one corner. Even a swim in bar with… okay what? Someone was there but Kaito likes privacy? Eh must be exceptions to the rule, considering they'd lose business FAST if they listened to just one person. In fact when the three were looking around while it was clearly nearly empty, especially in the pool itself, a couple was in the hot tub with someone sitting across from them. A few where even outside the pool just relaxing on chairs, far from the pool but still relaxing. In total about six people, how odd but they seemed to be minding there own business. When one of them noticed them they looked up then relaxed again before speaking.

"He likes the pool empty this is that exception you boys are thinking of. he's in it right now if you wish to speak to him." they said with the three noticing his form in the water.

He swam around with grace and speed from on corner to the next. The way he swam up and down and all around made it clear why he wanted privacy. Though if the Militia had such pools to, it was unclear right now. However the three went up to one of the pools sides and waited for Kai to surface. He wasn't pay much mind and surface up seeing the three clearly and getting startled. He sank back down before swimming up quickly again catching his breath.

"Oh god anyone teach you not to sneak up on people kero?" he asked clearly irritated and out of breath.

He wore just swim trunks and showed few signs of battle scars on him, which Midoriya was expecting at least one but no, nothing. His face definitely gave the impression of Tsu's uncle though as while he sounded irritated his face was more a somber neutral look eyes arched in a way to look sad. He noticed them realizing his facial expression and he rolled his eyes before giving his own remark.

"Yes complexion is very frog like Kero, so what? I still have a good expression in my voice, have to for others to know how I'm feeling Kero kero."

"Okay why are you doing that?"

"Doing what Kero?"

"THAT!" Bakugou stated with Kai suddenly realized what he was doing.

"Oh sorry, it's a bit of a reflex with high emotions or exhaustion kero. Ahem I apologize if you found it odd kero." Kai said sounding a bit flustered with his actions.

"Don't worry about him he's just been like that. And besides your niece is the same way. Just doesn't do it as often."

"Heh, ya I know, all us frog people have different frequencies I noticed. If you ever found my brother almost never ribbit's, only when he's content does he do it. Or asleep Kero."

"A huh, look we aren't here speaking about your niece or brother for that matter, we're here for an old friend."

"Ah right, don't think I never noticed where you came from. I know those costumes Kero, you're from UA, My little Tsu goes there. How is she?"

"She's fine but that's besides the point will you join us or not?"

"I dunno kero kero, why should I leave exile? Will Japan just arrest me and the others?" Kai asked clearly not trusting Aizawa's tone. Aizawa was getting more agitated and spoke through a sneer.

"I assure you you and the others won't be arrested now will you please listen?"

"Ya with tone I doubt it. So what about you young… wait what's your name greenie?"

'Oh I'm Izuku Midoriya and-"

"IZUKU! Kero kero, kero kero why didn't you say so!?"

"What do you mean?"

'I knew your father, a brave man if a bit hard headed and reckless. Oh do tell your mother I apologize for his absence."

"That's… I don't know what you mean by my father being like that but, I can assure you that Mr. Aizawa here's just annoyed and wants to get a move on. he's serious on you not being arrested."

"Oh I figured but still I… wait is Tsu with you guys?"

"Of course our whole class and a few others are with us. Do you not wish to join for her safety?" Midoriya asked with Kai just looking into the water and diving down.

The three were about to just give up and walk away when suddenly sprang from the water and landed right in front of them. He shook himself off a bit before sighing and looking at the three. He clapped his hands together and spoke.

"So, whose this old friend of mine?" Kai asked with a smile forming around his face.

The four then made there way outside the building and Kai put the closed sign back to open as a sign of good faith. They then saw Kiralexia still berating Hina Mineta on her actions and she just told him off on how he was acting to wish he just bonked her the head again.

"Ugh when will you behave Hina?"

"You know as well as I she won't Kero." Kai said with Kiralexia turning around to see Kai looking at him.

Kai then lunged forward with a frog hop and just embraced him with a big hug. Kiralexia accepted and laughed and smiled as Kai just began doing the same. The two looked like they were in bliss and the three were happy for them. Well Midoriya and Aizawa Bakugou was just irritated and wanted to get moving.

"Great to see you two like this but can we get going now? I'd like to get the fuck out of this damn place." he said in his usual tone and Kai and Kiralexia let each other go with Kai giving his own remark to the boy.

"Fine but first I have to find my Niece, I have to see how she's doing. I may not have been there for her for long but I want to show to her I care." Kai said with a bit of somberness to his tone.

"Ugh fine only because I'd rather not get beaten up by your friend here." Bakugou said sneering at Kiralexia who smirked.

"Alright give me a second." Kiralexia said pulling his phone out and calling someone. "High you went with Tsu right?- Okay I gotta ask where you guys are? Ya we found him, he wants to see her- okay we'll be there soon. Bye." Kiralexia then hung up and looked at the group. "She's at some candle shop with Uraraka and Toga, they said it was close by the hotel."

"I know that place. Nice scents they sell." Kai said and pretty much just became the leader for them.

It took them a few minutes to get to the store but when they did they saw it was ran by a nice middle age woman with younger people helping keep the place clean. Uraraka greeted the group when they got in while Tsu and Toga were giving each other candles to smell. Kai shook Uraraka's hand and spoke to her.

"I knew your parents before you were even born such nice people. I'm sorry for the financial issue they have. If I could I would help but well, bills to pay." Kai said with an attempt at a cheeky smile.

He then saw Tsuyu with Toga and his eyes began to swell with tears. He walked past Uraraka who got out of his way as he got closer to Tsuyu. Toga noticed and side stepped out of the way with a candle in her hand. Tsu was to busy smelling a candle to notice Kai next to her. He looked up the shelf and used his tongue to grab a specific candle. He then put it in his hand and put it towards Tsuyu.

"Have this, it's a lovely mix of lavender and Sakura." Kai said with Tsu looking over and just staring at her uncle.

She was frozen for a while unable to move as Kai just looked at her back. Kai then began to apologize for he absence as it was his way to keep her safe. Yet he could hardly speak when she suddenly lunged forward and hugged him tearing up with Kai following suit. Kiralexia began to tear up as well but wiped it up as Kai and Tsu just let each other go and accepted there return together.

"Well now that those emotions are done how about we go back to the hotel and rest for a bit?" Kiralexia suggested with Kai looking at him and laughing a bit before responding.

"Of course that was my plan, we can rest for the day and get going tomorrow for the next person."

"Works with me. let's get going I need to get some food anyways." Kiralexia said with Kai putting the candle back and everyone leaving the store.

A few hours later everyone made it to the hotel many of them in separate rooms again. Kiralexia, Rasputin, Hina, and Vanelis bunked up with Kai, Tsu, and Toga with Ashido following suit and Eri deciding to follow with her uncle. Kiralexia was doing handstands for some reason with Eri on his feet pretty much flying with Kiralexia doing little tricks with his tail for Eri. Ashido was doing Toga's hair with Tsu was leaning on Kai's shoulder with Vanelis and Rasputin on the other side of him. He had the device in his hand and was telling them how the years have been for him.

"I felt so empty here, sure I made friends but, it wasn't the same. I was lost and in a routine that was without a purpose."

"Didn't you swim for exercise?"

"Yes but what for? Honestly I am more then willing to go with you back but something tells me this journey is far from over."

"We are going for all Elites. Though if I am asked I'd say we should split up to get better ground."

"Hey I'd rather stick around before doing that okay?" Kiralexia said still hand standing and pretty much just doing push ups.

"Oh trust me I understand Kiri not wanting that again after being alone for so long.-"

"Whoa whoa whoa, did you just call Kiralexia Kiri?" Ashido stopped

"It's his nickname for me." Kiralexia answered with Kai nodding in agreement.

"Well anyways, the next person we'll get will be, interesting to say the least. Especially for Kiri over here." Kai said with Kiralexia perking up a bit at the notion. Rasputin grabbed the device and saw who was next his reaction was a bit realistic as we was expecting them later.

"Oh bod. Rose Dawn's next?" Rasputin asked.

"WHAT?!" Kiralexia exclaimed dropping to the floor with Eri falling on her butt next to him.

Everyone looked over at Kiralexia, whose face was in the ground and looked as if he just died. He then began getting back up rapidly and looked incredibly tense and on edge. His eyes darted around and legs shaked like mad. He cleared his throat and began speaking in a panicked tone.

"Did you just say Rose Dawn? Like the very same woman who I loved and were a THING with? This isn't a joke?"

"Nope the very same. I hope you remember her REAL name though. Does the name Kureha Kirishima rings bells in there kero?" Kai asked with Kiralexia's heart just dropping to the floor.

"OH that's the one, oh no oh god oh shit OH SHIT!"

"Calm down I'm trying to sleep." Min-Jun said muffled over the wall and Kiralexia darted his gaze to it and screamed.

"Piss off I have the rights to panic! I haven't seem Kureha in YEARS! God knows where she is now, and hell I ain't ready for THAT REACTION! What is she gonna do, what is she gonna do?! Oh oh oh I feel Wheezy oh lord oh I think… I think I need to lie down." Kiralexia said breathing sporadically and just plopping down to the floor looking incredibly on edge. Kai then just chuckled with Vanelis poking fun at him.

"Aw come on now Kiralexia I thought you LOVED her. what's the matter cold feet?"

"Don't you DARE play those games you unloving PRICK?"

"HEY I love just in my own way."

"Ya the douche way and it ain't cold feet it's TERROR! I don't think YOU realize Kureha's anger when her emotions are messed around with."

"I've heard the stories and I don't it's that bad." Vanelis said with Rasputin and Kai staring at him with worry. "What?"

"Clearly you haven't been in her way when it happened before. She almost cut my tongue up."

"And I almost lost my arm."

"It grows back."

"I'm NOT undead, nor have the healing factor to heal THAT."

"Alright alright, but come now how scary is she when that happens."

"Grabbed my tongue and through me into a wall. And let's not forget Shadowsmith's aftermath." Rasputin and Kai both shivered at the thought.

"The point is Vanelis is that unlike those times were I am away from the outcome I AM THE OUTCOME! And something tells me I might lose a bit of me."

"What and get is shoved up you."

"AHEM!" Ashido exclaimed pointing to Eri hearing all this happen.

"Never mind. Wait hold on, surely you could get it less bad then well I or even Kai here. Considering you two were a thing before."

"Ya that's what worries me. Might go easy might not either way someone's bleeding during this reunion." Kiralexia said with a sense of dread and content.

"Well let's not worry about if's let's just worry on getting there tomorrow. it's late and I doubt any voyages are made at this hour."

"Right let's just sleep it off perhaps in the mourning I'll be more prepared."

"Please I'm trying here." Min-Jun interjected from across the wall.

"Oh shut it and get some rest bitch I need some alone time anyways." Kiralexia said getting up and walking out of the room.

After that everyone decided to get ready for sleep as well. However Ashido seemed a bit worried, well more then the others. Kiralexia her blood brother had one hell of a panic attack. she's seen him like that before most of the time it involved Rose Dawn. She could understand the fears, afterall. She felt the same to another in the group only more on what she should say rather than actions. Her eyes dropped at the thoughts and she would not sleep well that night. Nor would Kiralexia mind racing with thoughts of his friend, his lover, his Rose Dawn. Whatever came by dawn, he'd make sure his mind wasn't playing tricks on him, no matter the difficulty.
