A/N: I wanted to wait for the weekend but I'm too excited, so enjoy this.

After they were all evaluated by the hospital therapist, they were all discharged. Emily decided to call her father, she knew he wouldn't be able to rest until he heard her voice. Not even after two rings, he picked up.

"Hi Dad"

"Emmy? Baby are you okay?" She could hear the crack in his voice, Wayne is a man who is always in control of his emotions...being military and all, but when it came to Emily all that goes out the window.

"Physically? I'll heal " he was one of the few people she was always open with.

She didn't need to add the mentally part for Wayne to know "Just remember, you're safe now. You have Ma and Alison"

"I know" she said, looking at the two women packing their stuff.

"Emmy, promise me one thing" He sounded serious.

"What's that?" She listened very carefully.

"Do not shut them out, I don't know what you had to endure in that bunker…-" that made her flinch " but promise me that you won't push them away, you won't push me away" Emily went silent.

"Emily Fields" He said in his military voice.

"Yes, sir" she could hear people calling him in the background.

"Another thing, don't be stubborn like your old man, let them take care of you every now and then"

"Yes, sir"

They stayed on the phone a little while longer as Alison and Pam were still packing.

"I don't want her to feel like I'm being overprotective or anything, but could you check in on her every now and then?" Pam asked while packing the blankets.

"Of course, Mrs. Fields"

Pam stopped packing and turned to face Alison "...and stop with this 'Mrs. Fields' none sense, you can call me Pam"

"Pam"

Everything went smoothly. Hospital to the car. Car to the house. At first they wanted to order something to eat but Pam insisted on cooking because no daughter of hers is gonna come home from the hospital and have take out for dinner.

When they got home, Emily embraced herself because she knew what was coming, as soon as they opened the door, there he was. Her black bulky Pitbull, who usually would wait on Emily's command but didn't this time. He kept yelping, he was almost talking of how excited he was to see his owner. He couldn't stop jumping up and down and licking and sniffing Emily.

"Hey big guy, I missed you too"

They were gonna help Pam make dinner but Pam would not allow it. She insisted that they go relax in the living room.

Alison grabbed two glasses of water and sat down next to the brunette "He misses you... You're mom called me in a panic one time cause he wouldn't eat, drink or leave your room" She said looking at Tito who was sitting near Emily's feet.

"Poor guy" Emily said while leaning down to scratch his head.

There was a comfortable silence between them for a few minutes. Until Emily spoke up "You remember the first time I made you watch football with me?"

"That was the first time in my life that I actually got pissed at a sport" Alison said remembering the amount of hate she had that day "Didn't I throw the remote and break it?"

"First of many remotes we had to buy" Emily said, chuckling.

"Well If the coach managed the team well I wouldn't have thrown it…I'm pretty sure your mom could manage that team better than him" Alison stated.

"She would probably bake them so many cookies that they wouldn't last five minutes on the field" They both chuckled.

"Did your parents ever find out about that hole in the wall?" Alison asked, looking at the canvas, covering the hole she made after throwing another remote.

"Nope, it's still there" both looked at each other and started laughing.

After thirty minutes, Pam called from the kitchen saying dinner was ready.

Emily tried her best to be present. Her body was there but her brain kept bringing her back to the bunker. She could hear her mom and Alison talking but she couldn't make out what they were saying. All she could hear was the screams of her friends getting tortured. All she could smell was burning flesh, all she could taste was blood.

Alison noticed the distance in her eyes, she also noticed her leg shaking up and down, she knew it's one of her signs that she was anxious and so she placed her hand on her knee, taking Emily out of her head for a moment. The brunette gave her an appreciative smile.

She rubbed her head with her free hand, Pam noticed.

"Are you ok, sweety?"

"Yea, I just have a bit of a headache" Which wasn't a total lie, she did have a headache. One of the side affect of being concussed.

"Do you have your medicine?"

"In my bag, I'll go get them" Emily said, about to get up but Alison beat her to it and was half way in the living room already.

"One out of ten, how bad are they?" Pam asked.

"A five, but I'm sure a good night sleep would help"

"Stay here tonight"

"I appreciate the thought mom, but I wanna go home" Emily said. As much as she loves her mom, she knew her mom was gonna hover the entire night.

After everyone finished eating, they all went into the kitchen to help clean up. Pam washed the dishes, Alison dried it and Emily put them in their places.

Emily said goodbye first and went outside to call a cab, after a few minutes Alison was outside and called Emily an idiot and insisted she'd drive her to her apartment. They buckled Tito in the backseat.

"Since when did you get a car hammock? Do you have a dog?" Emily asked.

"I got it for Tito…after you …- you guys were..uh- "Alison was having difficulty finding the right word "- uh taken…" She looked over but Emily gave her a nod to say she was fine, so she continued "After I dragged his ass out and went for a hike, well let's just say my car was a mess afterwards… so hence a dog hammock"

"You? Alison DiLaurentis went for a hike?" she said shockingly. The brunette couldn't even imagine the blonde in front of her out in the wilderness where there were bugs.

"Hey! To be fair your dad got me into it" Alison said smiling. There were a lot of people she bonded with during those months but the one she bonded with the most was definitely Wayne.

"I'm glad you guys had each other"

The rest of the car ride was silent. Except for a snoring Tito in the back seat. Ten minutes later they arrived at Emily's apartment. As they were unbuckling Tito from the back Emily turned to Alison, a little nervous to ask.

"Hey Ali, why don't you stay the night? It's already 10pm" She was isolated from her friends for months and the last thing she wanted was to sleep alone.

"I will take the couch" She took the leash from Emily "Go shower while this one does his business"

Emily nodded and walked to her apartment door, luckily her apartment was on the first floor. As soon as she opened the door she could see someone had been maintaining her apartment. Everything was clean. It even smelled like cinnamon.

The apartment consisted of two bedrooms, one was turned into an office and two bathrooms. A living room and a kitchen. The brunette wasn't by any means rich but she did live comfortably.

She walked into her bathroom and showered. She could see all of her scars. Even though they were healed she could still feel the pain...

Blade cutting through her skin...

She could still smell and taste the blood...

She could feel her skin on fire...

She could smell the burning of flesh...

The room started getting blurry, she could feel her breathing becoming shallow. She knew it was a panic attack. So she tried splashing water on her face, but it didn't work. She could still hear her voice. The voice that haunted her for years.

She tried to snap out of it, which worked for a minute until she heard a door slamming and then suddenly she was back in the dollhouse.

It's been almost five years since she died and yet the brunette could and probably would never forgive herself for letting her die. She always thought if she was a bit faster she could have saved her.

It was about a month into their kidnapping when Emily's delusions started getting the best of her. Making her see and hear people who were not there.

It was her week to be deprived of any kind of sleep or rest. Anytime she would nod off, a loud alarm would go off. The only thing she had was water.

So on the fourth night with no sleep, she started hearing whispers through the walls.

"Emily, are you there?" The voice said.

"Who's there?" She answered whispering.

"Why…-?" Emily could hear this person's voice breaking "Why did you let me die?"

She recognized the voice "Ma…-Maya? How?"

"I thought you loved me Em"

"I did! Maya I did love you" she could hear her own voice cracking.

"Why did you leave me? You left me to die alone"

"No…- Maya..- that's not…I was trying to get you help" She could hear her voice cracking.

"You left me Em, I was alone and scared and you left me"

"Maya, I am so sorry. You have no idea how much I regret doing that" She was in tears at this point. She cried so much that she started feeling light headed. As she placed her head on the pillow and closed her eyes, the loud alarm went off, making her jump out of the bed.

She didn't have it in her to scream at the speaker, she was too tired. So she just sat there with her arms wrapped around her knees just rocking back and forwards. After the encounter with Maya, she started hearing everyone's voice. Her mom, her dad and even Alison. She thought for sure she would have a complete mental breakdown.

After a week of being sleep deprived she had her first of many seizures. Only after that the person behind the speaker phone let her sleep, fed her and placed phenytoin for her seizures, after all this person didn't want them to die. It was a game, a game this person was enjoying.

The person gave her exactly one week until they started one of the many games they would play with them. They would put her in a cold steel chair. In front of the chair there would be three buttons, each having a face attached to it. Hanna, Aria and Spencer.

They would give her a choice. She would have to choose who gets to go in the play room and who doesn't and if she didn't choose, they would all be tortured. Each time she chose someone, she would vomit.

Each time she chose someone, the tv in front of her would turn on and she would see how this person would torture the one she chose.

In the four months they were held captive, they only saw each other three times and by then they already knew about the "choosing game" as the voice would call it.

So by the third time they saw each other, Emily made them promise that whenever it was their turn to choose, they would always choose the tall brunette. No matter what. At first they didn't wanna listen, but by the end of it they all agreed. Emily and her eyes.

She didn't realize she was on the floor with her arm around her knees, rocking back and forward until she heard Alison's voice and felt her touch.

"Hey, it's ok. You're ok Em" Alison had her arms around Emily's shoulder.

After the brunette settled down a bit, Alison got up to grab some tissues and handed them to Emily.

"How long have I been like this?" She asked, wiping her tears away.

"I'm not sure, I got here about 5 minutes ago. What happened?"

"I uh…- I heard a door slamming hard and everything just went black" Emily said, still trying to catch her breath.

Alison made a mental note, no loud noises.

"I'll go make us some tea" she helped Emily get up, but before she could walk away, Emily pulled her in for a hug, which she gladly accepted. Alison could still feel her shaking, so she held the brunette a little tighter than usual.

She made two cups of tea and waited for Emily to return. A few minutes later Emily came into the living room. Wearing a big shirt with shorts under it. Alison could see all the scars more clearly, she had to hold back her tears from falling.

"I tried putting some of this aloe moisturizer on my back but there are some spots I can't really reach, do you mind?" Emily asked, handing over the cream.

"Of course, lay down"

Alison got up so Emily could lay on her stomach. As soon as Alison lifted up Emily's shirt, she could see all of the scars. She had to fight back her tears. There was one going from her neck going all the way down, it was thick, it was healing but it was still very visible. There were other scars that looked recent.

After shoving her emotions down, she squeezed a little bit of cream and gently put it on the scars. As soon as Alison laid her hands on Emily's back, she felt her flinch and pulled back immediately.

"I'm sorry, are you ok?"

"It was just cold, don't worry"

Alison hesitated. Last thing she wanted was to hurt the brunette even more.

Emily sensed her hesitation "Hey, it's okay, they don't hurt as much" Emily said, looking back at a very disheveled blonde.

Emily kept getting goosebumps every time Alison touched her. Alison's fingers, gently applied the lotion to each scars. When Alison finished she stayed on the floor, letting the cream dry. She leaned with her back at the end of the couch, near Emily's face.

"You know you can talk to me right?" Alison asked

"I know… just not tonight"

A couple of minutes after the cream dried, Alison got up "You should get some rest, Em"

"I am kinda tired, can you help me pull out the bed" When Emily got this apartment, she knew there were gonna be times when her friends were gonna sleep over so that's why she got a sofa bed.

When they finished making the bed, Emily got in, leaving Alison confused. She got in the bed and laid next to the brunette. She wanted to be close to Emily, so she didn't question it. They laid facing each other.

Emily's doctor gave her doxepin to help her sleep. Sometime during the night they subconsciously reached for each other's hands.

It was around three or so in the morning that Emily got woken up by a noise in the hallway. She looked over at Alison, who was softly snoring. God she's so beautiful.

She quietly got out of bed and waddled towards the front door and checked to see what the noise was but there was no one there.

She quietly made her way back towards the living room. For some reason she started to feel anxious, even more than usual. Something felt out of place, then she saw it.

The black figure in the corner, holding a knife to Alison's throat. The black figure spoke up.

"I told you Emily, I told you I would find her. I told you I was gonna make you watch her die" The black figure put more pressure on Alison's throat drawing a bit of blood.

"Stop..- don..- don't hurt her" Emily could feel her voice trembling, she took a step forward but stopped when the black figure put some pressure on the blonde's throat.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you"

Out of instinct and adrenaline, Emily just launched towards the black figure, ignoring the jolting pain in her ankle, all three of them went down. The black figure still had the knife in their hands, they started throwing it around trying to stab anything and succeeded, they grazed Alison on her face.

When Emily heard Alison screeched, she went into a full rampage mood but was unsuccessful. The black figure got the upper hand and launched her through the window.

As Emily was falling, she thought it would be like in the movies but in reality, it happened in a matter of seconds. As she hit the ground, she couldn't feel anything, her whole body went numb. The last thing she saw while she was dying was the black figure holding Alison and slicing her throat. She could see the life draining out of her eyes.

Sorry I couldn't protect you Ali. Sorry I let you down. I'm so sorry Alison. You deserve so much better.

Tears filling her eyes. She could see Alison saying something.

"Emily, wake up"

She looked at her confused. It got louder.

"Wake up"

She jumped and head-butted Alison.

"Oh god Ali, are you okay?" She asked while Alison was holding her nose.

"I'm okay" Alison said, still feeling a little dazed, hell of a way to wake up. "I'm okay, are you okay?"

"I'm not the one who got head budded" She said cupping Alison's face, making sure there was no bleeding or bruising.

"No, but you were the one who was screaming in her sleep" Alison replied, wiping a drop of sweat off of Emily's cheeks.

Alison got out of bed to grab a clean shirt for Emily, since she was drenched in sweat, and handed it to her.

She looked at Emily and smiled "I'll make us some tea"

"Thank you"

"No need to thank me every time, Em"

"I meant thank you for staying with me, thank you for looking out for Tito and my mom"

She put on the kettle and turned to face Emily who was still on the bed "You would have done the same thing for me"

Moments later she returned with the cups of tea and sat next to Emily and stared at her.

The brunette could feel Alison staring at her "It was just a nightmare" she tried to put the blonde at ease.

"It was based on a true event though…-" she hesitated before continuing "you still blame yourself for Maya's death don't you?"

"How did you know it was about that?" Emily asked.

"You kept saying 'I'm sorry Maya' in your sleep"

Emily thought to herself, well there's no use in denying it now.

"It was my fau…-" She was cut off by Alison.

"It was not your fault, Em," she gently grabbed the brunette's chin to tilt her head up "Emily, look at me" She looked up at Alison who looked serious "Maya's death was not your fault, okay ?I will spend the rest of my life telling you that. It was not your fault"

"But…" was all she could say before Alison cut her off again.

"Emily Fields, don't make me call your mother" giving her a warning finger.

"You wouldn't" Emily was calling her bluff.

Alison grabbed her phone to show her she was serious.

"Okay okay fine" Emily said, giving up. After a few seconds of silence she spoke up again "That was dirty play, threatening to call my mother"

After that they both laughed and fell back asleep moments later. Emily was still tossing and turning but luckily there were no more nightmares.

She went back home after that morning, she didn't wanna hover over Emily. It was only midday when the brunette called and asked when she'd come back. Of course she didn't think twice before coming back.

Alison ended up staying more than one night. They were constantly bickering back and forth. The blonde kept bitching in Emily's head about her medications she was given. To the outside world it looked like they've been married for years.

"I'm gonna run by the house and pick up some work stuff and stop by the grocery store for some food, I'll be back" Alison said, getting her purse.

"Did you hear that Tito? We're gonna get some peace and quiet" Tito had no idea what was being said but his tail was wagging.

"Shut up and take your medication" Alison said, before heading for the door.

"Yes dear" Emily replied.

Alison rolled her eyes and walked out.

Emily went into her office and turned on her computer. She didn't have to return to work until she was ready but she also hated sitting around doing nothing. She had about thirty mails she had to reply to, so she decided to start on those. As she was about to start, she heard a knocking at the door, she looked down at the sleeping Pitbull and said "It hasn't even been ten minutes"

She opened the door with a smile on her face, expecting it to be Alison "Ali, this is why I said we should make a key for you" As she opened the door, the smile she had on her face disappeared. She never thought she would see this person again.

Last time she heard, this person was in California, exactly 2.730 miles away from her.

The brunette felt frozen in time. All she wanted to do was close the door in this person's face.

"Hi, Emily" the person said.

"Paige"

What? My first cliffhanger? Is it even a cliffhanger? Let me know
