Paimon and I were walking through the Court of Fontaine…when we heard a familiar voice.
"Ms Nice Lady!"
"Wait a minute", Paimon started. "That voice sounds familiar. Isn't that…"
Before Paimon could finish…a familiar face rushed up to us.
"Ms Nice Lady, Ms Nice Lady", he said excitedly. "You're in Fontaine too!"
"Teucer", Paimon exclaimed in shock. "What are you doing in Fontaine?! How'd you even get here?!"
"I wanted to see my big brother", Teucer replied. "One day, I saw a ship that was going to Fontaine, so I got onto it!"
"Teucer", Paimon scolded. "Didn't your brother tell you not to do that?!"
"I know", Teucer said, as tears started forming in his eyes. "But…my brother's been gone from home for a long time now. I missed him."
After Teucer said this, Paimon and I looked at each other…before sighing in defeat.
"Well", she started. "He's already in Fontaine, so there's no point in scolding him now."
"I agree", I said.
Then, I looked down at Teucer, before holding out my hand.
"Come on, Teucer", I said. "Let's go find your brother."
…
We had arrived at the Northland Bank, and when we did…we found the person we were looking for.
"Brother", Teucer exclaimed before rushing up to him.
"Teucer", he said in shock. "What are you doing in Fontaine? How did you get here?"
"He stowed away on a ship just like last time", Paimon revealed.
"Teucer", Childe started with a sigh. "Didn't I tell you not to do that?"
"I'm sorry", Teucer apologized, before tear's started forming in his eyes again. "It's just…you've been away from home for so long. I missed you."
After hearing this, Childe sighed in defeat.
Then, he kneeled down next to Teucer.
"Well", he started. "Since you're already here, why don't I show you around the Court of Fontaine?"
"Yay", Teucer exclaimed excitedly.
Then, he turned around to look at me.
"Paimon, Ms Nice Lady", he started excitedly. "You guys should come too!"
"Huh", Paimon said in confusion. "You want us to come too?"
"That sounds like a good idea", Childe stated. "So, what do you say, traveler?"
After Childe said this, I smiled.
"Okay then", I replied.
I then looked at Paimon, who sighed in defeat.
"Fine", she said. "But you'd better not stick us with babysitting duty again, Mr Money Bags!"
"I'll try my best", Childe said. "Now then, let our tour of the Court of Fontaine begin!"
…
Since it was right outside the Northland Bank, the first stop on our tour was Leschots Clockwork Workshop.
"Greetings, traveler" Livre greeted when he saw us. "Oh. Hello there, Mr Childe."
"Wait a minute", Paimon started. "Childe, you know Livre?"
"I do", Childe replied, before giving me a playful glare. "Apparently, somebody told him that I was the greatest toys salesman in Snezhnaya."
After hearing this, both Paimon and I giggled.
Then, I decided to take advantage of the fact that Teucer was here.
"Well", I started. "You are, aren't you? Right, Teucer?"
"Yeah", Teucer replied excitedly. "My brother's the best toys salesman in Snezhnaya!"
Hearing this made Paimon and I giggle some more, and Childe gave me a playful smirk.
"Wow", Teucer said as he looked at the clockwork toys. "These toys are so cool! They can move by themselves!"
"That's because they're clockwork toys", Livre revealed. "They have mechanisms inside them that make them move."
"That's so cool", Teucer exclaimed. "Hey Mr, can you make a moving Mr Cyclops?"
"Mr Cyclops", Livre asked in confusion.
Then, Teucer held up his Mr Cyclops action figure.
"Is that…a Ruin Guard action figure", Livre asked in shock.
"No, it's Mr Cyclops", Teucer exclaimed. "I got it as a souvenir from the institute of toy research!"
"Institute of toy research", Livre repeated. "I didn't know such an organization existed! Mr Childe, when you have some free time, I would love to learn more about this institution!"
After hearing this, Paimon and I had to hold back our laughter.
Then, I decided to mess with Childe even more.
"Oh, you definitely should", I added. "Perhaps the institute of toy research could collaborate with Livre to make Mr Cyclops clockwork toys?"
"That would be so cool", Teucer exclaimed, before looking at Childe. "Are you gonna do it, big brother?!"
After being asked this, Childe shot me a playful annoyed look.
Then, he seemed to get an idea.
"Tell you what, Mr Livre", he started. "Why not start off with this? I'll commission you to make a clockwork toy version of Mr Cyclops. What do you say?"
"Of course", Livre replied. "I'd be honored, Mr Childe!"
"I'm gonna get my own moving Mr Cyclops", Teucer asked excitedly. "Yay!"
As Teucer jumped up and down with excitement, I saw a gentle smile on Childe's face.
When I saw this…a smile came to my face as well.
