Summary: It's a nice day at the Mushroom Kingdom, not only filled with a bunch of Mushroom Kingdom residents, but also fighters from other worlds. Preparations for the Ultimate tournament is almost done, and before the fighters can participate, something has been going on around the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach has been kidnapped, but by who? The Mario brothers must figure out clues from their fellow fighters/friends and prove to themselves they are still the best heroes in the Nintendo universe.

Chapter 1: Peaceful Day at the Kingdom

The Mushroom Kingdom, the heart of the Mushroom World. It is filled with thousands of Toads and Yoshis around the multiple towns. That's not the only thing, though. It's only a week until the Ultimate tournament begins, the 5th of the Smash Bros. competition. Fighters from other worlds have been invited to participate, and there's a lot of them staying at the kingdom until the fight begins.

Down at the crowded town, a man with a green hat walks out from the popular restaurant, Mushroom Steakhouse. His name is Luigi Mario, the younger of the Mario Bros. In recent years, Luigi is considered to be the lesser known of the brothers and not a lot of the residents do know him. He's usually a cowardly person, but he always tries to put on a brave face.

There are a few fighters who do know him and don't treat him very ignorant. One of his personal best friends since his debut during the brawl tournament is the famed champion from the Kanto Region, Red the Pokemon Trainer, and his three trusted Pokemon: Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard.

Luigi sees Red over at the garden near the town and the castle and decides to give him a greeting. "Heyo, Red!"

Red is training with his Pokemon to toughen them up at their best preparing to become the best at the Ultimate tournament. He is so excited to participate again after being absent previously. He is still training until he hears Luigi's greeting to him and notices him waving. "Oh, Luigi! How is it going?"

"Ah, I'm doing fine there, buddy. How is it going? Are you excited for the upcoming tournament?"

"Oh, you bet I am! It's been a long time since I used my Pokemon in the competition! I'm glad they also invited my girlfriend, Leaf as well. She's been wanting to participate as well, but she couldn't join during those Brawl days. I feel sorry for her then, but I'm glad she can join in!" Red said.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you're bringing in your girlfriend. How's the relationship going, by the way?" Luigi asked.

"Great. We're reaching our 1 year anniversary, and I'm taking her on a date to try out your restaurant here in the kingdom. Apparently your friends really like it, and enjoy the food themselves, so I'm taking Leaf there. What about you? How are you and Daisy doing?"

Luigi stops for a moment before he speaks up again. "It's been well." The middle aged hero looks up to the skies and thinks about Daisy for a moment. "Me and her have been dating for 5 years now, and I'm in love with her a lot, but…I'm scared to propose to her."

Red gives out a little gasp covering his hand. He turns over to his Pokemon and speaks with them. "Uh, guys, let me talk to Luigi for a bit. We'll continue training later." Red pulls out his pokeballs and sends back his trio into their balls. "Luigi, let's have another one of our best buddy talks."

Luigi and Red sit down at the nearby bench with the master Pokemon Trainer speaking to him for advice. "Luigi, are you scared by another thing in your life right now? I've heard of your adventures as a ghost sucking hero saving your brother twice. You're one of the coolest guys I know in this tournament, and you're afraid to marry your girlfriend?"

"Hey, Red. It's not as easy as it is for me, really. Daisy and I have always loved each other for a long time now, but my love life with her is not that easy. It's complicated. You and Leaf have been dating for almost a year now, have things been complicated between the two?"

This was easy for Red to answer. Sure, he also loves Leaf a lot, and it was easy for them to start a relationship with each other due to their continuous love and care for Pokemon, not to mention, countless battles they have for each other. "Nope. We've had feelings for each other for sometime now, and we just thought love is easy for us. We're just seemingly happy together now, along with all of our friends back at Kanto."

"Huh. I swear, it's been difficult for me, though. It's not very often that I go over to Sarasaland, just to hang out with her. I actually want to marry her, but I'm feeling afraid of her turning down the proposal." Luigi said, as he looked down to the ground.

Red gives him a pat on the back for encouragement. "Come on, Luigi. Just do it. Grab a ring over at the Mushroom Kingdom Jewelry Store, and be a man to propose to her. She loves you too, might as well give it a consideration."

Luigi smiles at Red, and gives him a thanks for cheering him up. "Thanks, Red. You always know what to do."

"Hey, I wouldn't be your best buddy now, would I? I'm the champion of Kanto, for Pete's sake! I stop bad guys stealing Pokemon, treat them in the best care possible, and save the world! All because of my best friend, Luigi who taught me to be the best hero I can be!" Red said, as he raises a fist in the air.

Luigi chuckles at Red's excited expression on his face. He is happy to hear that he's an inspiration to Red, and that their friendship will last as long it'll be, especially during the Smash tournament. The green hero sits up from the bench, and is ready to head off.

"Well, I'm leaving now. Got to see what Mario and Peach are up to! See you at the ceremony!"

Peach's Castle

Luigi heads over to the castle, but on his way, he meets some other fighters that he met in the tournament where no one remembers him. He passed by both Ness and Lucas playing catch together with Ness' baseball. A bunch of Game and Watches operating a taxi system, the Miis practicing some sports beginning with the bowling alley.

Luigi makes out in front of the castle and is granted access thanks to Toad as he walks in and finds Sonic, and the Inkling Boy and Girl, and Shantae watching TV together with past Smash fights Sonic participated.

"AH! How come you're the fastest thing alive during these fights?!" Shantae grumbled, crossing her arms together.

"Those people are just too slow. Hopefully you're not too slow for me, genie." Sonic teased the Half-Genie pointing his finger at her face while sticking out his tongue.

Shantae uses her signature hair whip to flick Sonic across the room to shut him up, but noticing that action, the speedy hedgehog runs away from her while still teasing her. Shantae's pissed enough to the point where she begins fighting against the hedgehog. Both of the Inklings watch them quarrel over each other while Luigi walks in the castle witnessing the brawl between the hedgehog and the genie.

"Ugh, Sonic and Shantae having another one of their fights? I swear, those two will never get along with each other.." Luigi thought as he headed up the staircase that leads to Peach's room.

Getting closer to the room, Luigi hears some noises of laughter and giggling behind Peach's door. "Oh, Mario, stop it!"

Luigi feared to think what was happening behind the door, but he decided not to be rude enough to interrupt, so he went to knock on the door to alert Peach and Mario.

"Oop! Just wait a moment!" Peach called out. Creaking sounds from the other side were heard, whispering noises that Luigi could barely hear, and finally, zipping noises that were in volume loud throughout the room. Afterwards, after waiting for 2 quick minutes, the door to Peach's bedroom opens.

"Oh, Luigi! I wasn't sure if it was you or not!" Peach said, happily letting in the green hero to her room.

"Heh. I think you know me too well, Princess. Just wanted to give a quick visit before the Smash ceremony tomorrow." Luigi said, chuckling. He sits next to Mario on Peach's bed, while the cheerful princess herself asks the two brothers to separate each other so that Peach can sit in between them.

"You know, it's great to have this tournament again, and with Peach by our side to start off the ceremony. You will have this first fight between me and Kirby, right, Princess?" Mario asked.

"Just like the old Brawl days, Mario. I just hope we can have a nice peaceful tournament for everyone and not have another big adventure with me being kidnapped again. I'm always tired of being the damsel in distress, just because I'm a princess." Peach said.

"Yeah. Zelda too, she was taken prisoner with you, thanks to Wario and Bowser. I just hope nothing happens with both of you this time, and even both Rosalina and Daisy are participating. You made sure no more villains can join in, princess?" Mario asked.

"I reached out to many of the other people from other worlds to join in and sent the invitations to Master Hand, and he agreed to bring them in, so we'll be seeing them tomorrow." Peach answered. "Bowser and Ganondorf may be able to participate, but I don't want either of them to kidnap me or Zelda. Just some good fighting action, that's it."

"That's good. Hopefully everyone should arrive tomorrow, and we'll get things started, but I do wonder about the new people that'll be joining in this time around." Luigi said, putting a finger at his chin to ask.

"Well, I already got Daisy to join in since I've been cosplaying as her throughout the years, so she felt bad that she wanted to join." Peach said.

"And we've met the Inklings recently during our karting days, so they decided to participate as well, though apparently, the Miis were wearing some costumes based on them previously. I'm not sure exactly why." Mario said, shrugging his shoulders.

"The Miis sure are mysterious fighters, but we're glad to have them to join in with their similar usage to other fighters." Mario said, raising up his fist.

"I tried to connect with R.O.B. seeing if he'll be joining in as well, but for some reason, I haven't heard from him, especially when the fourth tournament went to an end." Peach grows a bit concerned, as she looks out the window noticing a bunch of mushroom residents and fighters going about their daily life. "I do hope everyone arrives, because this is the first time I'm bringing everyone together. I even gave them various jobs to hold out making sure the kingdom is nice and peaceful."

"Ah, princess, you're doing a great job. I think you're bringing lots of people well and good at their own service. I mean, Wii Fit Trainer's doing the yoga exercise to all of the Toads, and Marth and Lucina patrolling the towns making sure crime can never happen overnight. If we have all these people staying in our world, then the kingdom will never be at its own downfall." Mario said, patting a hand on Peach's shoulder.

"Thank you, Mario." Peach kisses Mario's cheek as the red hero blushes furiously by the kiss. "You will always be my favorite hero that I always love. Saving me countless times from one of Bowser's hell castles. I love you so much, sweetie."

"Thanks, Peach." Mario shyly giggles as he scratches his head.

Luigi has some quick thoughts about Daisy again after witnessing Mario and Peach's love in front of them, but that ride of mind gets interrupted when the three hear a loud thudding noise coming from downstairs.

Mario, Luigi, and Peach all quickly run downstairs to the lobby to see that the fight between Sonic and Shantae is still in motion. Shantae used her magic powers to morph into a Elephant while Sonic uses his super speed run circle around the Half-Genie. Shantae stomps multiple times to stop Sonic's speed, but just as things were heating up between the two, Peach begins to scream which echoes around the room.

"ENOUGH!"

The Inklings stop their cheering, Sonic stops his speed, and Shantae morphs back into a human again, all staring at Peach's anger.

"Sonic, Shantae, this is the second time since you've come here to begin another one of your idiotic fights. What, are you two childish?" Peach asked, putting her hands on her hips.

"Princess, Sonic's 15, at least while being a hero, he's still running around on his off days being an immature hedgehog." Shantae said.

"Nuh-uh, you've told me that your best friend is Sky and she's the type of friend who's usually rude at being helpful. Taking selfies of herself in a bathing suit." Sonic says, as he crosses his arms.

"At least she's my girlfriend, though. Mr. Not-So-Romance!" Shantae bickers, pointing a finger at Sonic's face.

"Bitch of a genie!" Sonic shouted.

"STOP IT!" Peach shouted once more, grabbing the two's attention. She calms herself again before speaking up calmly to the two. "Look, tomorrow's the ceremony, and I want everyone to behave nicely. And I know if it's a fighting tournament, but why can't you two just get along? If you can't get along, then I might have to boot both of you out of the tournament and send y'all home. Understand?"

Both Sonic and Shantae slowly nodded, while looking down at the ground with disappointed faces as they apologized to Peach. "We're sorry, princess."

"Good. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to find both Red and Leaf so I can appoint them to look after the Pokemon that'll be staying in the kingdom. Mario, bodyguard me in the town. Luigi, look after the castle for me, please."

"Sure, princess." Luigi said.

"And the rest of you, I'd like for all of you to leave the castle immediately. We have a ceremony tomorrow, and you'll need some time to prepare, so please leave and have a good day in the kingdom." Peach said.

The Inklings, Sonic, and Shantae left the castle alongside with both Mario and Peach leaving Luigi by himself to look after the castle.

A few hours later…

It's been a few hours since Mario and Peach left the castle leaving Luigi on his own. He walks up back to Peach's room again giving himself some time to think. He looks at the Toad Town village, less populated than what the daytime was. There's only half a day left until the ceremony begins. He wanted to get along with some of the other fighters, but not a lot of people remember him.

He turns his head over to Peach's bedside drawer. A picture lays there, and it's a memorable one. He holds it while he sits down on Peach's bed, and looks at it. It's a picture of him, Mario, and Peach together celebrating yet another victory of the two brothers saving Peach from Bowser.

That was their recent adventure, 5 years ago, and they both haven't been on another adventure since then. Peach hasn't been kidnapped for that much time, and not many of the Toad residents have given their thanks to Luigi while he helped out his brother. He is definitely a third wheel to him and Peach. Luigi also never did go along with Mario when he traveled to Sarasaland saving Princess Daisy as well.

Luigi looks over at the window again and notices a large building that appears within the outskirts of Toad Town, a building with the words marked, "Nintendo", in a glowing red font. The green hero thought about what that mysterious building was. It showed up recently after some of the fighters arrived at the kingdom. It makes him wonder what the heck Nintendo is. Is it a company of sorts? What do they do? Card Games? What about toys? Then, it hits Luigi. A video game company of sorts. What if Nintendo makes video games of various worlds they tend to create? It makes him wonder if they'll make a video game starring him and Mario. They rescue Peach from Bowser in his castle while they go through a lot of lands in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Then, the next thought hits Luigi, what if it's not just about him? What about the other fighters? Do Nintendo know about them too? Mario and Luigi heard about Link's tales of saving Zelda from Ganon's clutches while solving a bunch of puzzles in dungeons. Imagine a video game like that. What would they call it?

He also has a thought about Kirby. What about him? Does Nintendo create a video game about Kirby's adventures in Dream Land where he travels through the mysterious worlds and defeats bigger threats than King Dedede or Meta Knight?

Then, there's his best friend, Pokemon Trainer Red. He can imagine this Nintendo company creating a video game about his adventures in the Kanto region becoming the greatest Pokemon Trainer in the world. He would think "Pocket Monsters" would be a great name for that type of video game.

Luigi looks away from the company building and sits back down on Peach's bed again to relax for a bit until his cell phone rings. The green hero is alerted by it and checks his phone, pulling it out of his pocket, and notices Daisy calling him.

"Daisy? What are you doing calling me at this time, late at night?" Luigi asked.

"Oh, come on, I can't just call my boyfriend whenever I feel like it, just because I love him?" Daisy asked.

Luigi blushes at the thought of hearing Daisy calling him boyfriend. The green hero just shows his own dedication of how much he loves her. "Heh heh. I guess I can slip that from my mind. You are my girlfriend, after all."

"I love you, Weegee. Anyways, I'm excited for the ceremony tomorrow. Do you have some time to stop by at my castle to hang out and maybe…spend the night?" Daisy asked.

"I can't. Mario and Peach left me to look after it, although it's getting late and they still haven't come back yet." Luigi responded.

"Wait, what have they been doing? I haven't heard from them since yesterday." Daisy asked.

"They said that they were finding Red and Leaf to appoint them as the trainers to look after all of the Pokemon that'll be staying here for the meantime." Luigi said.

"Well, I got an idea though. Sneak out." Daisy said.

Luigi's eyes widened upon hearing his girlfriend's words of idea. "Wait, sneak out? But, Daisy, Mario and Peach are trusting me to look after the castle in case any intruders come by. I don't want to break that favor."

"So what? My father's keeping me in the castle until tomorrow morning to see Peach at the ceremony. If Mario and Peach are not coming back for some time with some errands to do, then it's you and me for the time being to hang out. What do you say, Weegee?" Daisy said.

Luigi thought about it for a moment, and just half a minute later, he gives out an exasperated gasp as he speaks an answer to his girlfriend. "Alright, fine. But we're only going for 30 minutes please. I don't want Mario and Peach to notice that I'm away."

"Don't worry. We're just going by the Toad Town Park and laying down looking at the stars. I just want to be with my Weegee before the ceremony starts." Daisy said.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be there in a bit. Bye-bye." Luigi ends the call by putting his phone back into his pocket and begins his way to sneak out the castle. Luigi quietly opens up Peach's bedroom window and sees how large the fall is to jump down and sneak out. Luckily, as he remembers, Peach keeps a use of emergency ropes in her closet. Luigi quickly walks in there and finds one to his use where he drops one end to the ground and holds the other, tying it to one of Peach's bed legs.

Luigi gulps for a moment and walks out of Peach's window while holding onto the rope. Luigi looks down, noticing how high up he is. He decides to close his eyes and slowly climbs down the rope until he reaches the ground. Once his foot touches the ground, he opens his eyes again, seeing as he's at a safe spot now giving out a sigh of relief.

"I hope Mario and Peach don't find this when they get back.." Luigi whispers.

Toad Town Park

Luigi sits at the same bench that he and Red were at earlier in the day, as he whistles and twiddling his fingers waiting for Daisy to arrive. It wouldn't be until a few minutes later that she shows up, appearing right in front of him. "Hello, love."

"Daisy."

"Are you ready to relax a night under the stars?" Daisy asked, putting her hand under Luigi's chin.

Luigi blushes furiously with his eyes meeting Daisy's as he stammers a bit before responding. "Um…sure. Let's get this over with."

Both Luigi and Daisy lay down on the ground looking up at the skies together seeing many bright stars above them. To be honest, while Luigi did leave the castle disobeying Peach's orders, he's beginning to enjoy spending his time with Daisy. Luigi often loves Daisy with all of his heart, and there wouldn't be any better time for him when he spends time with her, and the same can be said for Daisy as well.

"Are you excited for me that I'm a fighter now in the upcoming tournament?" Daisy asked.

"Yeah, I'm glad Peach finally did this for you after many years. She did really feel bad for you not joining in." Luigi said.

"Yeah, but it also means that I get to spend more with my lovely green hero." Daisy whispers as she takes off Luigi's cap and throws it at the ground with the chipper, energetic princess ruffling her boyfriend's hair. "You know that you don't need that silly cap right now, do you, plumber? I didn't bring my crown."

"Hehe, but I'm not a plumber, princess. I'm a hero." Luigi said.

"You're my hero, Weegee. Even if you never saved me before." Daisy said, as she closed her lips onto Luigi's mouth which sealed in a kiss of theirs. Luigi blushes furiously by the kiss, but he really enjoys it knowing how good Daisy's flavored lips are.

"So…did you also notice that Nintendo building as well? Apparently, I looked out my bedroom window and I noticed a large building with the words, "Nintendo" on it. I'm not sure what it is about that building." Daisy said.

"I noticed it, too. But I think I may have a crazy lead." Luigi said.

"What is it?" Daisy asks, as she sits back up from the ground ready to listen to Luigi's words.

"They might be a videogame company." Luigi answered, with a whisper.

"Huh?" Daisy wondered, leaving herself confused. "What do you mean?"

"There's some sort of feeling, but it sounds like we're video game characters of our own, aren't we? That building just mysteriously appeared after some of the fighters arrived here in the kingdom. I feel like this company happens to make various videogames of us." Luigi explained.

"Oh, come on, Weegee. Please tell me that's nonsense you're saying. Us as videogame characters?" Daisy scoffed. "Why don't we just lay down and relax seeing the stars together? You know you wanted to get back to the castle anyways."

Luigi looks up away from Daisy and looks at the entrance of the park. He feels scared in both facial expressions and the pangs of his heart as he notices both Mario and Peach getting into a car being ridden by one of the Game and Watches.

"Um…Mario?" Peach pats on Mario's shoulder to grab his attention where he looks at Peach pointing at the park. Mario takes a look and notices Luigi and Daisy sitting at the grass area.

"Luigi?"

"Uh-oh. Daisy, I have to go!" Luigi said, as he attempts to run away, but plans are foiled with Mario's shouting hollering out to him.

"Oh no, you're not!" Mario said, as he is able to catch up to Luigi and grabs a part of his overalls to stop him.

"Luigi, aren't you supposed to be at the castle? Why are you here with Daisy?" Peach asked.

Daisy stands up to her feet and speaks to Peach directly. "Peach, I'm sorry. It's my fault, I asked Luigi to come here. My father's been keeping me at the castle and I'm just bored since the ceremony is tomorrow."

"Daisy, you know you're a ruler of your own kingdom. Whatever that your father says, then you must listen to him." Peach said, putting her hands on her hips for the second time of the day.

"Why? You don't have a father anymore since he passed away 5 years ago, and you're still the princess of this kingdom." Daisy talked back to her fellow princess.

"I'm a princess. I do what's best for my citizens and keep this kingdom down to the ground. Do you not remember how Zelda, or Lucina have done in their kingdoms as princesses?" Peach asked.

"Well, no—but I never got to—" Daisy begins to speak, before Peach interrupts her with a hand up to her face.

"Daisy, you've not done your princess duties in a while. Sure, it's been all fun and games when we play soccer, or ride in karts, or even play on a party board, but you know it should be serious business when it comes to being a princess." Peach said.

"Peach! You don't think that I take my job seriously around my kingdom? Some people don't even remember what it's like, and it's all forgotten in recent years. I'm starting not to care about it anymore unlike how your kingdom is infested with a bunch of Toads. And that's why I want to spend more free time with Weegee here." Daisy said. "I love him and he loves me, with all of my heart."

"Wait, the castle! What are we doing standing around here?" Mario begins to realize, as the rest of the group begins to gasp.

"Mario's right, let's go!" Luigi said, as he ran forward out of the park with the others following him.

Princess Peach's Castle

Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy arrive at the castle with the mushroom couple noticing the rope that leads up to Peach's bedroom.

"Luigi!" Peach angrily stomps heading towards the rope. "Did you take one of my emergency ropes?!"

"Peach, I…" Luigi begins to talk, but the pink princess interrupts him as well with her anger storming in.

"You know you were not supposed to leave the castle! Let alone use one of my ropes in case the castle is under attack! Why do you and Daisy have to be the less responsible ones than us four?" Peach asked.

"Princess! We're sorry, but we didn't mean to cause a mishap to happen right now!" Luigi said, quickly apologizing to Peach again.

"Um, guys? I hate to make things much worse, but should this clown car be here near the castle?" Daisy asked, pointing to the small variant of the clown car.

"Wait! That car…" Peach said. "You don't mean…?"

"BOWSER JR.?!" Mario shouted.

Laughter is heard inside of Peach's Castle, a very childish laugh that the four can recognize.

"He's inside the castle! Climb the rope!" Luigi shouted.

"No." Peach said, before she takes out a pair of shades from under her princess dress. "We barge in. It's time to kill a Koopa."

Inside the castle, a Koopa Kid, named Bowser Jr. is invading Peach's castle noticing the princess' disappearance. He begins placing around his Mecha-Koopas in the lobby as a surprise for Peach. "Heh heh, the princess will not know what she will expect after I get invited to the Smash Tournament. You may have invited my dad and me, but we will still take over the kingdom! HA HA HA!"

Bowser Jr. continues his laughter of pleasure before he hears the loud banging noise of the lobby door. "WHA?"

"Junior!" Peach shouted.

"OH! Umm…Princess…I didn't expect for you to come back so soon…" Bowser Jr. quickly gets a little bit scared of Peach, especially noticing the shades on her face.

"Yes, and I'm here to reclaim the castle back! Brothers, take out all of the Mecha-Koopas! Daisy, come with me."

"Yes, Princess!" Mario, Luigi, and Daisy all said in unison as they got to business on Peach's orders.

"Oh…um…what are you going to do to me, Princess? You know all of these Mecha-Koopas are around here ready to detonate in your castle!" Bowser Jr. said nervously as he backs up each step while Peach is moving towards him.

"Not for long. Mario and Luigi has stomped on every single one of your stupid toys, and let's not forget…" Peach moves closer to Bowser Jr's ears whispering at him. "I've defeated your father one time while I saved Mario. Don't ever mess with a princess like me. DAISY!"

"On it!" Daisy runs out of the castle and into the garden where she plucks up each one of her vegetables, except one isn't really a vegetable. In situations like this one, Peach has secured a secret Bob-Omb in her garden in case of emergencies when a threat comes to her castle. After plucking 5 vegetables, Daisy finds the secret bomb for use and runs back into the castle.

"Peach!" Daisy tosses the bomb at the fellow princess as she catches it in her hand.

"Say Goodbye, Junior. Peachy's got it." She throws down the Koopa Kid, does her infamous Peach Bomber move, and finally, tosses the Bob-Omb straight at Bowser Jr, effectively kicking him out of the castle and at the sky.

"WAHHH!" Bowser Jr. cries being defeated yet again with a twinkle at the night sky.

"Whew. That takes care of him." Peach breathes deeply as she takes off her shades. "You boys done with the Mecha-Koopas?"

"Yes, princess. We've stomped each one of them, and they've been turned off before detonation." Luigi says, as he tosses out the defeated Mecha-Koopas out in the courtyard.

"Peach, I'm sorry for all of this. If it makes you feel better, I'll call both Marth and Lucina and they can arrest Junior and ban him from the tournament." Daisy said.

"No. You've done enough for today, Daisy. Just please, go back to your castle. I'll do it." Peach said, waving a hand on Daisy's face. "In fact, Luigi, please go back to your house as well. Mario's staying with me for the night, and we gotta get ready for the ceremony tomorrow. So please, go home, and I expect for everyone to be on their best behavior, please. Now good night."

"Yes, princess. Good night." Both Luigi and Daisy exit the castle with disappointed looks on their faces.

"Good night, Luigi. I'll see you tomorrow at the ceremony." Daisy said, giving her boyfriend a peck at the cheek. "I wish we could have a better night than this one."

"Yeah, but Peach's right. We didn't do our best duties today. Let's just hope we can do a better job tomorrow at the ceremony, and hopefully trouble doesn't arrive again." Luigi said.

"Right. Good night, love." Daisy said, waving her hand to the green hero as she leaves back to Sarasaland again to her castle. As for Luigi, it's time for him to head back to him and Mario's house.

Mario Bros. House.

Luigi opens the door to his and Mario's home and walks to his bedroom. He lays down on his bed giving out a tired sigh and turns on his TV to watch for a bit until he falls asleep. Luigi begins to think how this day went so wrong today. First, he disobeyed Peach's orders, then sneaked off with Daisy, and finally, the castle was in danger with Bowser Jr. attacking.

It was good that the castle is safe again, but there could have been better days than that. Luigi lies down watching the news channel. But then, he gets a very fond memory of him and Daisy one night together. After hanging out with Daisy today, Luigi is still feeling scared of proposing to her. A flashback begins to play in his mind…

1 year ago, Sarasaland, Princess Daisy's Castle

Both Luigi and Daisy are cuddling with each other on the bed with some romantic music playing in the background. Both of them are not using their original attire as Luigi is in pajama wear and Daisy is wearing her orange polka-dot pajamas with their bodies being covered by the bed sheets.

"Daisy, are you sure you're comfortable with this? Have you even considered what will happen if we do this together?" Luigi timidly asked.

"Weegee, you know how this works. You love me and I love you. It's clear that we can kill time doing this, showing me how much we love each other." Daisy said, giving her boyfriend a wink in the eye.

"But, Daisy, you know you could get pregnant. Have you even thought of our future together? It's been 4 years since we started dating, are you sure you want to have kids? We're not even married." Luigi said.

"I don't care, all I want is my lovely green hero besides me." Daisy said, beginning to lean over to Luigi's body as the green plumber himself starts to gulp and covers Daisy's lips with his hand.

"I care."

Daisy becomes speechless while listening to her boyfriend.

"Daisy…I love you. I love you so much, but I want to do things right for us. I don't want to end this relationship up in jeopardy just because you love me as well and want to do things your way. I love that you call me a hero, but it's been 4 years since me and Mario's last adventure. I'm just a regular plumber. The kingdom has been very secure in keeping Peach safe from Bowser, but it's just not worth it."

"What are you saying?" Daisy asked.

Luigi sighs, as he speaks up to his girlfriend, brave enough to get out of his timid behavior. "I'm saying, let's keep things slow. Let's just have a peaceful night together and when the time comes for us doing any of this, then it's time."

Daisy thinks about it for a moment looking at her bed sheets before she speaks up to Luigi. "You're right. I'm sorry for pressuring you." The chipper princess leans over and gives Luigi a kiss on his nose. "Let's just go to sleep." Daisy leans off of him and lays down back, next to her boyfriend and cuddles with him as she closes her eyes.

Luigi closes his eyes and sleeps peacefully of what could be his true loved one.

Present Day, Mario Bros. House

Luigi ends his thought of mind of him and Daisy's date night together as he thinks about if now is the right time or not to propose to Daisy. Honestly, for him now, it has been 5 years since their relationship started, and he realizes how much he loves her too, it's the same kind of love she has. That's when Luigi makes his decision. "I'm proposing to Daisy, tomorrow."

Luigi turns his head back to the TV and listens to the news.

"And now, after the recent incident of Princess Peach's Castle being attacked by the mischievous Bowser Jr., we've been getting numerous reports from citizens about the mysterious building that recently showed up called, The "Nintendo" Building. What could that building be about? Let's go over to newly appointed Pokemon Day Care protectors, Red and Leaf." Toadsman, the Newscaster Toad announced.

"Oh, are we live?" Red asked, seeing that he's on camera. Leaf nudges him an elbow hit seeing he's embarrassing himself a bit on TV

"So, Pokemon Trainers Red and Leaf. Tell us about this Nintendo building. What do you know about it?" A Toad holding the news camera said.

"Well, actually, we don't know much about it. For some reason, it just showed up and we noticed it as we were getting the Pokemon into sleep." Red explained.

"Me and Red got into a little discussion figuring out what this building could be, but there's not too many leads of what we could figure out. It's just a mysterious building showing up here in the Mushroom Kingdom." Leaf said. "If anyone has any leads of what this building is, we ask for everyone here in the kingdom to head down to the police station and report this to Marth and Lucina. There'll be more on this developing story later, but we ask everyone to have a safe night and be prepared for the upcoming ceremony tomorrow morning. Thank you."

Luigi watched silently from that news report and the Nintendo thing got back into his head again. Honestly, he knows what it is, but no one around the kingdom will take him seriously, even if it is a game company. The green hero will have to worry about that later as he turns off the TV and heads into sleep ready for the next day to come.

The Next Day…

It is a shining bright day over at the Mushroom Kingdom. A bright sunlight shines over Luigi's window as he's still very sleepy from the previous night. It wouldn't be any much longer that he's in a deep sleep until he heard some loud banging noises which woke him up.

"LUIGI! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! SOMETHING HORRIBLE HAS HAPPENED!" Mario shouted as he barged into the home while Luigi rubbed his eyes, while having a tired attitude to his brother.

"What is it, Mario?"

"Peach…she's been kidnapped."

Luigi immediately turns into a shocked expression on his face as he has never heard those words in 5 years.

You may recognize that I have the other story, "Meet the Smashers", as the smash story that I wanted to write, but I've been thinking a little hard of how an adventure mode for Smash Ultimate can be besides World of Light, and multiple character interactions. But here, in this first chapter, there's a couple major plot points that will be following the story, such as Luigi and Daisy's romance, and the mysterious Nintendo building.

From one of Sakurai's directs, it really hits my mind to think of the characters being toys in reality, but in the Smash Bros. world, they're like us, or is it really? That's why for this story, the eventual discovery of them as video game characters will be revealed, especially that we know them for a very long time now.
