Set in the "Hogwarts Legacy" universe, but will be slightly AU to the game as certain things will happen differently or at different times to the games (as the characters are in Seventh Year).
Main character in this story is not MC from the game. MC from the game will be part of the story, just not the main character of this story.
"Lady Calliope, your corset is not tight enough. Please let me lace it up for you before we begin to prepare your wedding dress." One of my husband-to-be's servants gasped as she rushed over to me.
My light eyes immediately flashed onto the painted portrait of the Queen that hung proudly on the wall of the small room.
At least you were happy on your wedding day, and didn't mind who you were marrying. I thought bitterly as I narrowed my eyes at Queen Victoria. I suppose the downside of that was that the death of the former Prince Consort had thrown the Queen into a depression that had lasted decades. If my husband-to-be dropped dead right now I wouldn't be too concerned.
"Oh, that beautiful headpiece that was gifted by Lady Fitzgerald was left outside on a table in the church. Would you mind getting it for me?" I piped up, taking a step back from my fiance's servant. My corset was certainly already tight enough, judging by the fact I could barely breathe. I did not need it tightened any further.
"Certainly, Lady Calliope. I will return." She said as she whisked across the room and disappeared behind the large wooden door, quickly closing it behind her to hide my modesty in my undressed state.
The second I heard the thud from the door I sprang into action. I grabbed my wand which I had hidden in a drawer and pointed it at myself. Without even muttering a word with a swish I was able to fully clothe myself.
I then rushed over to a creaky cupboard in the corner of the room where I had hidden the only two belongings I needed: my broom and my Gladstone traveling bag.
I mounted my broom, making sure to securely attach my bag to hang off the end of the broom. Then with another swish of my wand I used a disillusionment charm to conceal myself (and my belongings below me) as well as I could. It wasn't as fool proof as an invisibility cloak, but it would hide me from any muggles who happen to look at the sky during my journey.
"Three, two, one." I whispered to myself, giving myself one last debate on whether I was doing the right thing.
The thought of the old wrinkly fifty year old man outside there, and his six children I was expected to cook and clean for (and others I was expected to bear) was enough. The second the thought hit my head I threw open the windows and kicked off, zooming outside into the fresh air. The wind whipping around my body felt like a wonderful reminder that I would be free from the life my parents tried to force me into.
I had just under three months to travel back to the motherland to ensure I could get there in time to start my seventh year at Hogwarts. Sounds easy, but not when you consider I have to travel all the way from the Colony of Victoria in Australia. Not only did I have to travel back to the home land by boat, but I also had to trek across Australia to get to the Colony of Western Australia's ports in order to do so.
But I wouldn't focus on my journey ahead for now. I had escaped that horrid man and a horrid life ahead of me. I was free and that's all that mattered.
