The following morning, Maria and Thomas had started work on their roller coaster which began in their backyard.
"Whoa, what are you two building today?" asked Suzzy who showed up with the others behind her.
"A roller coaster," said Thomas.
"Didn't your dads do that when they were younger?" asked Biff.
"Yeah, but we have new ideas to make the coaster even better," said Maria with a smile that worried everyone. Meanwhile, Isabella was over at Candace and Jeremy's place.
"I heard from some old friends the other day," said Candace while sitting a cup of coffee down before the other girl while they sat at the dining table.
"Apparently they had heard about Maria and Thomas dating and thought complaining to me was a good idea," she said.
"Oh no, what did you say to them?" asked Isabella.
"The truth, that their opinions don't matter to us," said Candace.
"Maria and Thomas are step cousins and were raised as good friends so there's nothing wrong with them being together and if they think there is a problem with that then they don't have to ever talk to me again," she said.
"And what were their responses back?" asked Isabella.
"Called me a freak and hung up, I then decided to block their numbers," said Candace.
"I just don't understand people and their want to hate on others, I mean neither of them are doing something illegal or hurting anyone by being together," said Isabella while shaking her head.
"This just in, a roller coaster built through the city is being praised as one of the best rides in years," said a news anchor on the TV.
"Looks like those two are up to it again," said Candace.
"I'm glad you don't freak out at this stuff any more," said Isabella.
"Mom and dad couldn't stop the boys, and you all encourage them so there's no point," said Candace before taking a sip of her coffee.
