After having fun on their roller coaster, Maria and Thomas had gone to get ice cream.
"Danny will get sick if he keeps this up," said Thomas while watching their cousin go by on the coaster with some others.
"Yeah, four rides may be pushing it," said Maria.
"Ew, I can't believe you two would actually show your faces in public," came a girl's voice from behind them which instantly made their expressions sour upon hearing her.
"Leave us alone, Emiley," said Maria while turning to look at a blonde haired girl.
"I'm not doing anything," said Emiley.
"Except for calling two freaks out for dating each other when they are cousins, I mean how disgusting can your family be to allow this?" she asked.
"We don't share any blood connection and our parents are fine with it, that's all that matters to the two of us," said Thomas.
"Then your family is made of nothing but freaks," said Emiley.
"Why you," said Maria as she went to get in the other girl's face but was stopped by Thomas grabbing her hand.
"She's a dog barking for attention, she's not worth the time," said Thomas.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" asked Emiley. Neither Maria or Thomas acknowledged her while getting their things and leaving, Thomas still holding onto Maria's arm as they walked away.
"Hey, get back here!" she called after them.
"Why did you stop me back there?" asked Maria while she and Thomas walked down the street.
"Because I knew you were going for the portal remote in your pocket," said Thomas while moving her arm to reveal that she had already grabbed the remote.
"We don't need the legal problems that will bring," he said.
"True," said Maria as she put the remote back in her pocket.
