The panic and fear fell away as they discovered they where in deed in the Emerald Space Station.
"How did you know that would work?" wondered Rani.
"I reasoned the Dalek's would have no reason to lie." Luke replied.
"That's all!" she screamed.
The two began to argue when an Ood came over.
"Ah you have all returned." said the Ood, holding his orb.
"Yes and we wish to see the Doctor of Oz." said Clyde.
As they where brought though the halls of the space station they where more determined then ever, and as they came to the chamber the Ood tried to get them to enter one by one. But they where in no mode and pushed past him and where greeted with the Mr Smiths passive screen.
"Why have you returned?" asked Oz.
"We have come to claim our victory." said Clyde.
"We killed the Master, all be it she was a she." added Luke.
"And we've come back to claim our rewards" interjected Sarah Jane.
"So pay up." finished Rani.
Oz fell over their words as they struggled to find a reason to bring up as a rebuttal. Sky was called away as she felt a twinge in her mined, she was being called over to the back of the screen. Choosing to investigate wile the others where busy, they didn't clock on until she vanished behind a screen.
"Wait, where's sky." panicked Sarah Jane.
"Who cares." blurted Luke.
"She can't be far." reasoned Rani.
All of a sudden the screen shut down down and Sky came out pulling along the twelfth Doctor.
"Doctor." called Sarah Jane.
"Who." he replied. "I'm Oz. Or to say I use that thing to act as Oz."
"We want what we came for." insisted Clyde.
"Okay, and I'll grant it to you." he said. He clicked his figures and three Oods came in each one took hold of Rani Luke and Clyde.
"I thought you'd like your gifts." Reasoned the Oz "I mean, I saw you with out them and thought that's no way to live, but who am I to judge."
"Well we don't want what you gave us." said Luke.
"And so you will be taken away and what was given to you will be removed." he sighed and clicked his fingers and the Ood led them away.
"What about us?" asked Sarah Jane.
"Well it was only about you." said Oz "Your little friend here was never part of the deal, but sure, you can both have him."
"Who?" asked Sarah Jane.
"Your new dog, I noticed he didn't make it back so I got you a new one."
And in came a new K-9.
"He's just like the old one aren't you." smiled Oz.
"Yes master." he replied.
"No, I wanted to go home." insisted Sarah Jane.
"Oh, and here I thought you'd love the dog. Well I guess I can send you home if that's what you really want."
"Yes." agreed Sarah Jane.
"Okay, then you all better follow me."
Moving though the space station, the four passed a room where the operations where being carried out, Sarah Jane found her self peering in to see them. As she looked in she saw Luke had a patch removed that had a image of a brain on it, Rani had one removed with a heart, and Clyde had one removed with a fist.
"What are you doing to them?" asked Sarah Jane.
"The thing I did for them, I gave them patches in hopes of making them feel better but it didn't work."
"Is that all you do here, make those things."
"Yes, it worked for new earth, I thought it might be put to use here."
Sarah pulled her self back to look in only to see Luke became lifeless, Rani Attack and kill the Ood, and Clyde turning on her when she went for him. Sarah Jane tried to get in and help them.
"What did you do?" she snapped.
"What they asked, with out the patches, they don't have the reason to work together, the scarecrow has no leader to follow, the Cyberman reverts backs to her program of upgrading and you know the rest."
"You killed them."
"No, their hatred for them selves was their own down fall, now on to your return." he said leading them on.
Sarah Jane felt her self hung on the door before dragging her self away.
They soon arrived to a section that lead out side, they slowed down as the hall's windows had a view of the out side world.
"Here it is." said Oz opening the door, to the landing pad. "My Tardis."
Sarah Jane spun around and saw a hot air balloon.
"That's your Tardis?" she asked.
"Oh yes, it stand for Totally And Radical Driving In Style, or Tardis for short."
The Doctor climbed in and began to play with the sting to fire up the balloon, Sarah Jane made a slow crawl towards the Tardis.
"Come on you three." he said, calling them over.
Sky and K-9 joined in the basket as he swung open the door to let them inside, Sarah Jane was more hesitant but did join them in the basket.
"Now this part is a little bit more difficult." said Oz.
Getting on his knees he dropped to the floor and opened a small hatch and inside looked like a Tardis console room. But the hole lead to the walk way up to the console as if you would drop in and land of the floor on your rump. Looking over as Oz passed though he ended up standing up right as he landed on the floor.
"I know the gravity is a bit warped, but you should all be fine."
They watched as he moved about the console pressing buttons.
"You know what." he said "It's best you stay there, don't want to have the trouble of getting you in and out of the Tardis."
With a sound Sarah Jane knew all to well they where soon gone and where left the Emerald space station and where Travelling though the time vortex.
Appearing as if out of thin air, the Tardis re-materialised, Oz called out from the control room up to Sarah Jane, Sky and K-9.
"Okay you should be home." called Oz.
As they stepped out and looked around they took in their surroundings, the sound of the Tardis fading away filled the air and Sarah Jane looked back as it disappeared from sight and perception.
"Where are we?" asked Sky.
"This should be Earth." replied Sarah Jane, but as she looked around the realisation hit her. "We're not on earth, I don' think we ever left this plant."
K-9 wagged his ears and he studied the near by forest.
"Dam it Doctor." cursed Sarah Jane.
"Mum, I think I see something though the trees." said Sky "Maybe they can help us."
Sarah Jane came over towards the trees and looked past the spores floating in the light, she reached forward the light hitting her hand as she drew it closer to the shadow of the forest.
"Stop Mistress." barked K-9.
Sarah Jane stopped and pulled her self back, away from the shadows.
"The forest is made of Vashat-nerada trees."
"What?" asked Sarah Jane.
"Spores know to eat flesh of any living creature." reported K-9 "Said to only leave the bare bones behind."
Sarah Jane swung back to the forest and caught sight of a small dear like creature as it wondered in to the grip of the shadows forest, and in and instant the creature was eaten leaving it's skeleton to collapse to the floor in heap.
"Is there a safe way though?" asked Sky.
"Yes young Mistress, the Vashat-nerada can not enter the light. If you where to keep a good pace, you should be able to get though to the other side, as long as you stay out of the shadows."
"How dangerous would it be?" asked Sarah Jane.
"There are major risk factors involved."
"Is there no way around?"
"Negative, Mistress."
"Then we will have to be careful."
K-9 went first extending his nose as he slowly moved though unscathed. Sarah Jane and Sky tried to follow making sure to take steps in the light area's, as they moved though they tried to avoid the shadows moving. But the further they went the more the shadows closed in on them, forcing them to flee back the way they had come. Left back to starting point they where trapped unable to get though.
"How are we going to get though?" asked Sky.
"I lost my sonic and the safety device." explained Sarah Jane.
"Mistress." called K-9.
"My preliminary analysis of the spores shows they are weak to light."
"How can we get light, out here?"
"Maybe I can be of the some assistance." replied K-9. Making his way back though, before stopping in the middle of the forest.
As they watched him move though the stopped and form his eye a bright red beam shot out and he began to spin around. To their shock and surprise the shadows moved and created a clear path through the forest. In a hurried stint they made their way though trying to stay close and avoid any shadow they passed even their own. Coming out they soon found themselves clear of the forest and standing in fear of the growing shadows that loomed as K-9 exited as well.
Fleeing the growing shadows of the forest they soon came to a wall made of stone, and the shadows kept growing.
"We have to go up." said Sarah Jane trying to give Sky a boost.
Ounce she was over the wall, Sarah Jane jumped up to grip the stone as some gave way before she pulled her self up and over leaving K-9 behind. Landing on the other side both unknowingly had stepped in something as the rocks of the ground around broke and crumbled.
The very ground they stood on was made of red coloured volcanic rock, much of it seemed to house some sort of heat as a glow came form with in much of the rock that was strew around.
"What is this?" wondered Sky, looking over the strewn rock that was all over.
"I don't no." replied Sarah Jane, taking one step, she soon crushed something under her foot.
A small cry went out and Sarah Jane retracted her movements, a small set of stone creatures soon gathered and it all fell in to place. The random rocks weren't just throw around they were built like a city, they had stumbled in to town of tiny Pyrovile. The towns people thought up a uproar, as they gathered around them, then one came forward to speak to them.
"What are you doing in our village." they yelled.
"We where trying to escape the forest." Explained Sarah Jane.
"We didn't mean to…" started Sky.
They where cut off "No, you have shaken our ground and destroyed our homes, attacked our people, leave now."
"I'm sorry it was an accident." Apologised Sarah Jane.
"No, leave now and may you never return."
Sarah Jane took a few careful steps, as she led Sky though the fragile city, making sure each step was never taken with out careful thought of where they where treading. As they moved though the city they caught on to how their presence was a disturbance. Every step caused a small earthquake and when they walked they more or less crushed something in their path.
Having left the small city they kept going with no help or aid they where not better of then where they where in the beginning. As they mad their way over the land they soon came towards a great hill, as they came up towards it. Coming towards the base they soon where shot at, the shot was only a warning hitting the ground near their feet.
"What brings your all the way to our base of operations." came a voice.
Looking up Sarah Jane caught sight of a Sontaran, more soon came in to view all armed with weapons, poking out of the hill.
"We are looking for help, to get to Earth." said Sarah Jane.
"You have no claim here, leave or you will die on the honour of battle."
Sarah Jane put out a hand to protect Sky as she tried to back away. As they where backing up shots came down form the sky, in alarm Sarah Jane noticed the same Dalek's form the caste came down form the sky and began to fight, red Dalek's led the charge with the yellow one being brought up behind.
