Four new students from the countryside transfer and sit in front of the class to compensate for the class shortage. After lunch, Tetsuo is the first new teacher to teach History in the afternoons. His looks resemble a specific Gold Saint BBs used to know. Seiya shivers, leading a confused Tetsuo to ask if he's okay. Back at the dorm, the BBs wonder if the rest of the new teachers will be like this. If so, they'll brace for what's to come.
The weather for today is sunny and cloudy.
[May 14, Monday - week 3]
Midterm exams are over, but class must resume. Students take their seats as homeroom teacher Haruka prepares his speech.
"Settle down! I understand coming back here seems sudden, especially after midterms and a student demise, but we must continue. As the director said on Friday, new teachers have been hired to teach today. Thus, one will be here at the end of your lunch period. Be sure to welcome the new teacher, okay?"
Haruka hands to each student the new class schedule.
"This is your set schedule, so be sure to memorize. Losing it doesn't excuse forgetfulness."
KNOCK, KNOCK!
"Ah, yes!" Haruka promptly opens the door, and four new students enter, two boys and two girls wearing the school's uniform. "We have four new transfer students coming in today. Introduce yourselves."
"Hi! My name's Jun."
"Yo! The name's Katori."
"Hey, guys! I'm Setsuko!"
"I am Ichina. Nice to meet you."
"These four," Haruka says, "are childhood friends from the countryside, and this is their first time in the city. Make them feel welcome."
One student raises his hand. "What happened to the four that were here?" The student refers to the four empty seats at the front of the class.
"They transferred away for personal reasons, and we had a shortage so that's when those four come in." Haruka then tells the four new students to sit at the empty seats in front of the class and delivers the schedule.
"Wow! Eight transfer students. I never had that much during my years as a teacher. I've always had one or two, but never eight. This will be interesting. Anyway, let's begin with today's lesson."
After morning class ends, lunch begins. Seiya notices one of the new four transfer students staring at them.
"Can we help you?" Seiya asks.
"You look familiar somehow," Katori says.
"I think I've seen you before... on TV," Ichina says.
"Is that so?" Shun asks.
"That's right! Galaxian Wars! I'm such a huge fan!" Setsuko exclaims, rushing towards BB's desk with a notebook at the back of the class. She enthusiastically opens a blank page. "Please! Sign your autograph!"
"Wait a sec! Hold on there," Hyoga objects.
The other three new kids show up at their desks, too.
"I knew it! I never thought you'd be here!" Katori says.
"What brought you here in the first place?" Ichina asks.
"Why would we explain? We're and that's that," Seiya says.
"Don't be rude, Seiya," Shiryu says. "We're here because of obligation."
"Is that so? Regardless, I'm so happy to finally meet you!" Setsuko says.
"I don't mind giving my autograph," Shun says as he receives Setsuko's notebook and signs the blank page. He returns it to her.
"Thank you so much! I can't wait for the others!"
"Really, Shun?" Seiya asks with a raised brow.
"I don't see why we shouldn't." Shun smiles.
Seiya rolls his eyes. "Fine..."
Seiya, Hyoga, and Shiryu do the same. But Katori also wants their autographs, and the BBs comply as well.
"Us transferring here was last minute, and because we come from so far, we must live in a dorm," Ichina explains. "Do you live in a dorm?"
"Of course we do," Seiya responds.
"Really? We didn't see you," Jun says.
"We live in a special dorm just for us," Shiryu clarifies.
"A dorm just for you! That's amazing!" Katori says.
"Wow! I'm so happy for you. A dorm for celebrities," Setsuko says.
"Is it true you're transfer students too?" Ichina asks.
"Yeah, we've been here for a month but we started on the second week," Hyoga explains. "So technically we're transfer students too."
"We don't mind you becoming friends with us," Shun says.
"Hanging out with celebrities would be a bit awkward," Setsuko says.
"Yeah, it's best for us to do our own thing," Jun says. "We're childhood friends who can stand on our own."
"But we can greet every morning. How about that?" Shiryu asks.
"Fine by us," Katori agrees.
"That we have no problem," Ichina adds.
"It's nice to see you," Setsuko says.
The lunch period ends with the sound of the bell, prompting students to hurry to their desks while waiting for the new teacher to arrive.
"This must be the classroom," a voice says. Students look up to see a young male teacher enter the classroom with paperwork. He arrives at the teacher's desk, laying the papers as he introduces himself.
"Hi, my name is Tetsuo, and I'll be your History teacher on Monday afternoons according to your schedule. Nice to meet you!"
Students are amazed by his entrance, but the BBs remain frozen, especially Seiya, who's been staring at the new teacher since his entry. To the BBs, his appearance is shockingly familiar to another Gold Saint they knew, except he wears an open cardigan and eyeglasses. Tetsuo's hairstyle is like that specific Gold Saint but with a lighter shade of brown.
"Can I help you?" Tetsuo asks.
"Are you talking to me?" Seiya asks.
"Yeah, you've been staring at me since I entered."
Seiya stands, fidgeting. "Please, don't mind me."
"And you are…"
"I'm Pegasus… I mean, I'm Seiya. Nice to meet you."
"Same here. Are you okay? Do you need to see a nurse?"
"Not at all, Aiori- I mean, Tetsuo-sensei! I'm not sick. I'm perfectly fine as you can see." Seiya fidgets even harder, complete with sweat.
His friends glance at him, concerned for his well-being.
"That's good. I won't force you, but you're making me worry."
"Sorry about that... I'll sit." Seiya returns awkwardly to his seat.
"Anyway, today we'll be going over the topics that we'll discuss during the year. Here's a handout."
As Tetsuo hands the syllabus to each student, Seiya's friends glance again as they notice Seiya's legs trembling under the desk.
Back at the dorm, the BBs gather at the lounge. Shun offers a full cup of water to an anxious Seiya, who seems to have calmed down.
"Here you go, Seiya," Shun says.
"Thanks, Shun." Seiya drinks the cup.
"He looks oddly familiar," Hyoga says.
"If you're referring to Leo Aioria, you're right," Shiryu says. "I think I said about the possibility of overreacting, but I didn't expect this too soon."
"Damn it! Even after I said we should be prepared," Seiya says.
"So we'll overreact no matter what? That's concerning."
"Let's still go. Maybe the rest would be different."
"I hope you're right, Shiryu," Seiya says, sighing.
"With that said, let's have dinner," Shun adds.
To be continued...
