Teen Titans Beyond
Spoiler: This episode will have some references to "Stranded", but there will be more than a few differences. This will also focus on Beast Boy and Raven's relationship and have some touching moments between them. We will also see an old enemy from the past return with a few surprises that will foreshadow events in future chapters. Enjoy.
Interstellar
It was a bright and sunny day at Titans Tower and the Titans were assembled in the main room as Robin spoke to the others.
He showed a serious expression as he said, "Okay everyone, Blackfire is still out there plotting her next attack against us. We need to be stop her before she makes her next move."
Starfire nodded as she honestly said, "Agreed Robin, we must capture Blackfire before she threatens us and our friends again."
Robin pointed at Starfire and pounded his fist as he seriously said, "And we will Starfire."
Cyborg spoke up and curiously asked, "And how are we gonna do that?"
Robin looked at him with a serious expression as he said, "We'll go out and find Blackfire before she tries anything."
Beast Boy was surprised while he sat down on the couch and curiously said, "We're going into space again?"
Raven kept staring forward as she deadpanned, "Looks like it."
Robin looked at his team as he explained, "We'll go into space and see if we can find any trace of Blackfire."
Beast Boy had much doubt as he said, "Uh… Dude… How are we supposed to find her? There's a lot of open space out in space."
Raven glanced at Beast Boy with her arms folded while she skeptically said, "For once Beast Boy has a point, Robin. The universe is a big a big place. We can't just search every single asteroid until we find her."
A map of planets appeared on the screen Robin as he held a pointer and said, "No, but we can narrow are search a bit. I'm proposing that we search all the planets we've been to before and see if Blackfire is hiding on any of them."
Cyborg smiled as he eagerly said, "Oh yeah! Road trip!"
Beast Boy smiled happily as he said, "Sweet!"
Raven rolled her eyes with an annoyed expression as she said, "Oh boy."
Cyborg stood up and pointed his thumb at himself as he said, "I'll get the T-Ship ready!"
Robin smiled at their enthusiasm as he said, "Good. Let's get to work."
The Titans went down into the hanger and spent the next few hours getting the T-Ship ready for their trip. At one point Beast Boy was sitting in one of the pods while Starfire and Cyborg worked on a booster rocket. Beast Boy accidentally leaned on a button that ignited the booster rocket for a moment; Cyborg screamed and ducked when a short burst of fire came out and burned Starfire, covering her in ash. Beast Boy looked them with a nervous smile while they both glared up at him in anger as they gritted their teeth. Later, Robin and Cyborg were adjusting circuits, wires, and other parts within the T-Ship, while Beast Boy was a monkey as he went through some spare parts lying around inside. He then found a wire that was disconnected and plugged it in, accidentally zapping Cyborg as he held a different wire and knocking him down. Beast Boy reluctantly rose out of the T-Ship and looked down at Cyborg, Robin looked at him with an annoyed expression while the green monkey smiled sheepishly.
Later, Starfire was helping Raven as stood on the floor and motioned her arms for Raven to bring something closer to her while she looked up. Raven held her hands out as she encased the T-Ship in her black energy and moved it over Starfire while she continued motioning her arms. Beast Boy was walking by when he spotted a computer terminal with a big red button, which he pushed out of curiosity. An alarm sounded which startled Raven, causing her to lose focus as her black energy holding the T-Ship vanished, and the T-Ship fell on top of Starfire. Beast Boy turned off the alarm and screamed in shock before looking at Raven, who glared daggers at him with her eyes glowing white. He chuckled awkwardly as he backed away and left them alone; later Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire were putting the finishing touches on the T-Ship. The had it in the launching bay, attached to the booster rockets, ready for lift off and they all smiled proudly as they stared it. Beast Boy also smiled when he accidentally leaned on a button on a terminal, causing the booster rockets to ignite a bit and make a bunch of smoke come out, filling up the room.
The soke cleared and the others looked at Beast Boy has he chuckled and said, "My bad."
The room was on fire as the four of them glared at Beast Boy and furiously yelled, "BEAST BOY!"
He cowered in fear as he said, "Sorry!"

Raven was walking through the halls of Titans Tower with Beast Boy, and she was still frustrated about all the mistakes he made.
As they walked Raven glared at Beast Boy and said, "Okay, Cyborg is running some final diagnostics on the T-Ship and then we'll be ready to launch. This time don't touch anything!"
Beast Boy held his hands up as he said, "Okay, okay! No need to get touchy!"
Raven kept walking as she stared forward with an annoyed expression as she said, "I don't want anymore of your screwups today."
Beast Boy looked a bit offended as he asked, "Can't a guy make one mistake?"
Raven stopped walking and leaned toward to him as she floated over him, glared, and angrily said, "One mistake, sure. But when you make a whole bunch of stupid mistakes in one day you need to learn to look before you leap!"
Beast Boy was surprised as he looked up at her and said, "I said I was sorry!"
Raven kept floating over him as she glared and impatiently said, "Sorry doesn't fix any of the things you broke!"
Beast Boy looked up at her as he held his palms up and honestly said, "Alright! I'll try and be more careful!"
Raven landed on the floor and took a deep breath as she calmed down and said, "Just try not to mess anything else up."
Raven then sunk into the floor in a field of her dark energy as Beat Boy watched her disappear from the room.
Beast Boy let out a sigh of relief and started walking down the hall as he said to himself, "Raven needs to learn to chill!"
Raven then appeared in the main room of the Tower as she rose out of the floor in a field of her black magic behind her friends. She joined Cyborg, Robin, and Starfire as they were looking at the monitor as it showed the diagnostics about the T-Ship.
Cyborg smiled as he looked at the others and happily exclaimed, "Alright y'all! The T-Ship is ready for launch!"
Robin smiled as he said, "Good. Now we can start searching."
Raven had her arms folded with an annoyed expression as she tediously said, "Then we should leave Beast Boy here, to keep him from flying us into the sun."
Starfire looked at Raven a bit stung as she said, "Raven please, do not be so harsh on our friend for his accidents."
Raven glared into space in frustration as she said, "He's a headache just waiting to happen!"
Cyborg looked at Raven with disapproval as he advised her, "Come on Raven! Forget about it. Just let it go."
Raven rubbed her temples with a stressed expression as she vented, "I wish I could but he's driving me crazy."
Starfire shrugged her shoulders as she reasonably said, "Beast Boy has been faltering much of late, but we all make mistakes. We must forget and forgive."
Raven looked at Starfire with her eyes narrowed as she annoyedly said, "He's been messing things up for us all day. He's becoming a real pain."
Robin looked at Raven with an understanding expression as he said, "Raven, everyone has an off day once in a while."
Cyborg agreed as he shrugged and calmly said, "Yeah Rae, I know BB can be a screwup sometimes but give him a break."
Raven expressed further frustration as she said, "I'll give him a break when he gives me a break from his stupidity."
Robin held his palm out as he calmly stated, "Raven, I know Beast Boy's no rocket scientist and he may cause trouble now and then, but he means well."
Raven unfolded her arms as she blew off steam and said, "He may mean well but he's always causing problems for us. He never thinks before he does, he never learns, and he's always sticking his nose where he shouldn't."
While she said this, Beast Boy walked in behind her with a smile on his face and his eyes shut, but then he opened his eyes and listened to Raven curiously. The others saw Beast Boy behind Raven and frantically made gestures to try and warn her to stop talking but she didn't pay attention. Cyborg frantically waved his hands around with a very nervous expression on his face as he tried to get Raven to stop. Starfire nervously put her finger over her mouth and showed her teeth as she desperately mouthed "shh". Robin frantically moved his left hand across his neck, motioning for Raven to immediately stop talking. Raven still did not pay attention to any of their gestures as she kept talking, unaware that Beast Boy was standing behind her.
She kept blowing off steam as she said, "Beast Boy's such a screwup that he's pretty much a liability to the team. He can't do anything right. We're going to have to put up with his mistakes for the rest of our lives."
Behind her, Beast Boy looked deeply hurt while Raven looked at the others in front of her as they stopped doing their gestures. Cyborg face palmed himself while Robin sighed in exasperation and Starfire stared at Raven nervously.
Starfire pointed her finger behind Raven as she reluctantly said, "Um… Raven…"
Raven's eyes widened with realization as she said, "He's right behind, me isn't he?"
They all looked at Beast Boy as he sadly said, "Yeah, I'm here."
Raven looked at him with regret as she apologetically said, "Beast Boy, I…"
She hesitated to say anything else while Beast Boy glanced down the hall and said, "If anyone needs me I'll be in my room, but no one will probably need me."
He walked down the hall as he slouched sadly, Cyborg glared at Raven as he sarcastically said, "Nice going Raven."
Raven turned to Cyborg as she honestly said, "I didn't know he was listening."
Starfire put her hands together as she looked at Raven and sadly said, "Perhaps, but you still hurt Beast Boy's feelings."
Raven looked at the others when she held her hands out and said, "I didn't mean to."
Robin showed a bit of sympathy as he said, "It doesn't matter Raven, you shouldn't have said all that stuff."
Raven showed regret as she said, "Now I wish I hadn't."
Starfire floated in the air and said, "I shall go comfort Beast Boy."
Robin looked at her and raised his finger as he said, "Good idea Starfire, and tell him that we're ready to launch."
Starfire nodded and then flew down the hallway, when she was gone Robin said, "A long trip away from home might help him feel better."
Cyborg pointed at Raven as he said, "Maybe, but you gotta apologize Raven."
She let out a sigh of exasperation but did not argue as she showed more regret for hurting her friend's feelings. Sometime later, they were all in the T-Ship, preparing to launch as the silo doors opened up and they were all in their pods.
Robin was in his pod at the front of the T-Ship as he looked back at the others and said, "Is everyone ready?"
Raven looked at him as she said, "Ready as I'll ever be."
Starfire spoke proudly as she said, "I am ready to begin our journey."
Cyborg smiled as he said, "Ready."
Raven looked at Beast Boy out of the corner of her eye as she said, "Beast Boy?"
Beast Boy spoke with a depressed expression as he said, "Let's just go."
Cyborg and Starfire looked at each other in their pods before looking at Beast Boy with sympathetic expressions. Raven turned to Beast Boy, who only stared forward with a depressed expression and didn't even look at her. Raven showed a guilty expression as she turned from him and looked back up as they were preparing to launch.
Cyborg spoke into his headset and said, "How you feeling B?"
Beast Boy was still depressed as he said, "I'll try not to mess anything up."
Raven tried to be nice as she said, "We appreciate that."
Beast Boy kept staring forward sadly and Raven sighed in regret for what she just said, then they all turned their attention to the sky.
Robin stared at the sky with a determined expression as he said, "Prepare to launch."
Starfire pushed a button as she said, "Guidance system online."
Raven showed a serious expression as she said, "Oxygen tanks full."
Cyborg narrowed his eyes as he said, "Defense systems on!"
The T-Ship rose out of the ground in front of Titans Tower with the booster rockets on the bottom as it was ready to launch.
Robin then exclaimed, "Titans launch!"
They launched the T-Ship and left Earth's orbit as they flew off into deep space and explored some planets they knew about. A map showed the T-Ship moving between some planets with a white line behind it as the Titans traveled to planets they visited before. First they went to the blue planet of aliens that somewhat resembled anteaters, but none of them knew anything about Blackfire. They went to the red planet of red people with white tusks in their necks, but they had not seen Blackfire either. They went to the large green planet of small green aliens, but none of them had seen Blackfire or knew anything about her. The T-Ship left the large green planet and flew off the map as the Titans moved on to search some other planets.
The Titans flew the T-Ship through space and Starfire was disappointed as she said, "Thus far our search has been unsuccessful."
Raven stared forward and spoke realistically as she said, "Well it was a longshot. We haven't been to that many planets."
Robin stared out at the universe as he said, "Maybe, but there are still a few more planets we haven't checked yet. Even I if we don't find any sign of Blackfire we can at least make sure she's not doing anything."
Cyborg looked out into space before looking at Beast Boy's pod in front of him, noticing that he was still sad. He then showed an expression of sympathy as he thought about how Raven accidentally hurt his feelings earlier. Raven also couldn't help but look at Beast Boy with concern and guilt, she didn't have to be an empath to know how depressed he was feeling. Robin and Starfire were also concerned by Robin thought it was best to leave him alone for a while, and Starfire was waiting for a chance to comfort him. Beast Boy hadn't said a single word to anyone since they left Earth; usually he was more talkative, which the others found annoying sometimes. But now they all wanted to hear Beast Boy say something to let them know how if he was feeling any better yet.
Cyborg glanced around reluctantly before he looked at Beast Boy and curiously said, "Yo Beast Boy, what do you think about this?"
Beast Boy leaned his left elbow on the side his seat and held his head up in his hand as he sadly said, "Who cares what I think? I'm probably not right."
Raven turned to Beast Boy's pod and tried to be kind as she said, "Maybe you aren't, but you can still tell us."
Robin agreed as he sincerely said, "Yeah. Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
Beast Boy just stared forward as he sadly said, "No. I won't bother. It's not like what I think matters anyway."
Raven was surprised by his words as she said, "That's not true Beast Boy."
Beast Boy kept staring forward as he moped, "Yeah it is. My brain's not good for anything. I'm never right and my ideas never work, so I'm done trying."
Starfire spoke sincerely as she said, "Friend, you should not keep your thoughts to yourself simply because you may be incorrect."
Beast Boy slumped as he sadly said, "Sorry Star. I'm not messing things up for you guys by sticking my nose where I shouldn't."
Raven glanced at Beast Boy as she felt guilty while the others showed sympathy for their depressed teammate. They all hated seeing their friend so sad and depressed, especially Raven, who also felt extremely guilty for causing this. She wanted to do something to make Beast Boy feel better but she wasn't sure what she should do. Despite being an empath, she wasn't very good as making people feel better, certainly not as good as Starfire or Cyborg.
Suddenly a machine beeped in Cyborg's pod as he looked at a screen and said, "Hey guys I'm picking up something. A lot of something heading our way."
Raven turned and stared out straight ahead and her eyes widened in fear as she said, "I think I know what it is."
They all looked out and were frightened as they saw an enormous asteroid belt heading straight for them. The asteroids were of many different sizes; some were small, some were large, an some were enormous. The asteroids encompassed a vast area of space in front of the T-Ship and many of the asteroids were in close proximity to each other.
Cyborg stared at the asteroids as he nervously said, "Oh boy."
Beast Boy gaped in terror as he screamed, "Dude!"
Starfire gasped in fear as she yelled, "Asteroid belt!"
They could not turn around and soon some of the asteroids had them trapped as the T-Ship kept flying with a big one heading straight for them.
Beast Boy was terrified as his eyes bugged out and he exclaimed, "There's no way we can make it through that in one piece!"
Robin showed a serious expression as he said, "Maybe not one piece, but how about five? Titans, separate!"
The T-Ship then divided into five smaller pods as each one transformed to better equip themselves for solo flight. Each Titan flew in different directions as they quickly flew around the giant asteroid and into the asteroid belt. They all twisted and turned through the asteroid belt to avoid crashing as they flew between them and made their way through. Robin showed a serious expression as he flew around and narrowly avoided some smaller asteroids that came hurtling toward him. Robin saw a small asteroid flying straight toward him but he pushed a button his yoke and fired laser blasts that destroyed it.
Beast Boy was flying his pod when one asteroid came hurtling at him as he frantically exclaimed, "Incoming!"
Cyborg narrowed his eyes as he flew over one asteroid and tilted his pod to avoid two smaller ones that came at him.
He tilted his pod and avoided the asteroids and kept flying as he happily exclaimed, "Booyah! Who says I can't fly?!"
His smile vanished and he showed a serious expression as he noticed a big asteroid hurtling toward him at high speed. He made a sharp right turn and then flew between two giant asteroids that were moving closer to each other. He used a boost to move forward and narrowly avoided being crushed as the two asteroids crashed into each other behind him.
He smiled proudly as he kept flying and boasted, "On Earth or in space, no one can beat my driving skills!"
Beast Boy narrowly avoided two smaller asteroids that came at him as he frantically flew his pod around them.
He then spotted a big one heading for him as he yelled, "Incoming!"
He made a sharp turn to avoid crashing into it but then he had to fly through a bunch of smaller asteroids and yelled in fear as he turned to avoid them. Starfire made several turns through the asteroid belt and narrowly avoided getting hit by several smaller asteroids.
As she kept steering, she urgently said, "This is most strenuous."
Robin flew every which way through the asteroid belt as he showed a serious expression and said, "We can do this Starfire. We just need to stay calm."
Over his headset Beast Boy screamed in terror as he steered his pod every way to avoid crashing into asteroids.
Beast Boy started to panic as he exclaimed, "Dude, these space rocks are everywhere! We're never gonna get out of here!"
Raven flew under one asteroid and glanced at Beast Boy's pod as she urgently said, "Beast Boy calm down!"
Beast Boy frantically steered his pod up, down, left, and right to avoid asteroids as he exclaimed, "Calm down?! I'm trying to avoid getting turned into space dust!"
Raven narrowly avoided a couple asteroids as she stared forward and said, "I know it's hard but you need to not panic! You have to stay focused!"
Beast Boy flew every which way as he desperately tried to avoid more asteroids as he said, "I'm focusing on not getting crushed!"
Raven narrowed her eyes as she concentrated and said, "You're flying around too frantically. You need to pay attention to where you're going."
Beast Boy did not listen to her as he kept steering his pod while screaming in terror, then he ended up flying closer to Raven's pod.
Raven saw him coming and fearfully yelled, "Beast Boy watch out!"
It was too late, Beast Boy accidentally crashed his pod into hers and then he screamed, "Oh no! Not again!"
Their pods both flew through space out of control as they started spiraling while the others watched them.
Starfire showed fear as she yelled, "Beast Boy! Raven!"
As she watched them, she did not pay attention to where she was going as a smaller asteroid hit her pod and sent her flying out of control as well.
Robin watched in horror as he exclaimed, "STARFIRE!"
Cyborg saw Robin's pod and yelled, "Yo Robin! Look out!"
He was too late as a smaller asteroid hit Robin's pod and sent him flying out of control in the same direction as the others. Robin's pod ended up crashing into Cyborg's pod and knocked him out of control as they all ended up flying in the same direction. All five pods flew out of the asteroid belt but were caught in the gravitational pull of a nearby purple planet.
Robin urgently spoke into his headset as he said, "Titans, report!"
Starfire stared forward at the purple planet as she said, "We are out of the asteroid belt but we have been caught in that planet's gravitational pull!"
Raven spoke urgently as she said, "All of our pods are damaged and we've lost control!"
Cyborg held his control yoke in fear as he exclaimed, "We're going down!"
Beast Boy expressed regret as he shouted, "Sorry guys!"
All five of the pods flew in different directions and started to burn up as they entered the planet's atmosphere. They all held on for their lives as their pods kept burning up as they headed straight for the planet's surface. Their pods crashed down in five different locations on the planet as Raven desperately held onto her control yoke. Her pod came crashing down into a jungle as it hit a bunch of trees before finally hitting the ground and then everything went black.
Commercial break
Raven woke up in a daze as she groaned and found herself inside her pod, which was stuck in a tree, in a jungle, on an alien planet. Remembering everything that happened, she opened the pod and flew out, she floated high in the air and observed her surroundings.
She searched for any sign of her friends as she called out, "Robin? Starfire? Cyborg? Beast Boy?"
She heard no response and did not see any of the other pods nearby, nor did she see any of her friends anywhere.
She sighed in disappointment as she said, "I'd better find them before they get themselves into any more trouble, especially Beast Boy."
She flew over the forest and began her search as she looked down for any sign of her friends or anyone else. Meanwhile, Starfire awoke in her pod and forced the windshield off the cockpit as she flew into the air and searched around.
She was worried as she cupped her mouth and yelled, "Friends? Robin?"
She suddenly heard Robin's voice shout, "Starfire!"
She flew as fast as she could in the direction she heard her boyfriend's voice come from and then she spotted him standing on a cliff.
Robin saw her coming and smiled as he waved at her and said, "Starfire over here!"
She did not slow down as she flew at him and he looked nervous as suddenly she flew straight at him and snatched him off the ground.
She hugged him tightly as he cringed in pain while she happily said, "Robin! Thank Tamaran you are unharmed!"
Robin kept cringing but forced a smile as he said, "I'm glad you're okay too Starfire. Could you please let go before you break my spine?"
Starfire immediately calmed down and gently set him down as she smiled and said, "Forgive me. I am just thrilled to see you are alright."
Robin stared her in the face with a loving smile as he said, "Yeah. It's good to see you too."
They looked like they were about to kiss when Cyborg smiled slyly and said, "You two having a nice romantic moment?"
They looked at him, Robin glared with an annoyed expression while Starfire smiled and said, "Cyborg! It is glorious to see you too."
Cyborg then showed concern as he said, "You too Star, but I don't suppose you've seen Beast Boy or Raven anywhere?"
Starfire shook her head in disappointment as she said, "I am sorry. I do not know where they are."
Cyborg looked around and curiously said, "Where are we anyway?"
Robin showed a serious expression as he said, "I don't know. This planet wasn't on our list. We have to find Beast Boy and Raven and get home. But be careful, we don't know anything about this planet."
Cyborg and Starfire both nodded before they started searching; meanwhile Raven was still flying over the jungle as she searched for her friends.
She had her hood up as she cupped her mouth and said, "Beast Boy, are you there?"
She heard nothing and then thought out loud as she said, "At least his powers will help him survive in this jungle world."
Suddenly an alien creature flew out of the trees and flew after Raven to hunt her without her knowing it was there. The creature had a body like a pterosaur but its head resembled an ugly lizard and it had a long flexible tail with a three-digited claw on the end. It flew at Raven from behind and shrieked, Raven heard it and dodged it as it tried to bite her and then flew past her.
The creature turned around and flew back toward her while she said, "If you're looking for an easy meal you're out of luck."
Her eyes glowed white and then she fired a beam of her dark magic at the creature, but it swiftly dodged it while it kept flying at her. It spit some slime at her, which disgusted Raven, then it grabbed Raven's torso in the claw on its tail and dragged her behind it as it kept flying. The creature then lashed its tail and threw Raven down to the ground, sending her crashing through the trees. She hit the ground and tried to get up but the creature landed on top of her and pinned her down as it shrieked at her. It stared her in the face and prepared to bite her when suddenly it was tackled and knocked off of Raven as another creature attacked it. Raven sat up and saw a green Martian Pit-Rex standing in front of the creature as it moved its tongue around.
Raven recognized it as she said, "Beast Boy!"
The flying creature then attacked Beast Boy with its tail but Beast Boy moved his hairlocks like tentacles, grabbed the creature, and slammed it to the ground. The creature stood on its wings and shrieked as it attacked Beast Boy, but he spun around and swung his tail at it and knocked it down. It got up and looked at Raven standing behind Beast Boy and it shrieked as it moved closer to her. Beast Boy then transformed into the Tamaranean guard dog creature and roared ferociously at the creature, terrifying it as it flew away scared.
Beast Boy turned human and watched the creature fly away, then Raven came behind him as she smiled and said, "Good job."
Beast Boy turned to her with a gloomy expression as he said, "Thanks Raven."
Raven was surprised by his demeanor as she said, "Are you okay?"
Beast Boy ignored her question as he asked, "Do you know where the others are?"
Raven was still surprised as she honestly answered, "No."
He sighed in exasperation and then started walking while he said, "Great. Well let's start searching before anything else goes wrong."
Raven then realized that he was still upset about what she said about him earlier and showed guilt as she followed him.
Meanwhile, Robin regrouped with Starfire and Cyborg near his crashed pod as Starfire said, "I cannot locate Raven or Beast Boy."
Robin looked at his Communicator as he seriously said, "And I can't get a fix on either of their locators."
Cyborg looked at them and then pointed at Robin's pod while he said, "They're probably out of range. This is a pretty big planet. They could be anywhere. Let's see if we can fix the T-Ship, then we can work on locating Rae and BB."
Robin looked at Cyborg and agreed as he said, "Good idea Cyborg. We'll have a better chance of finding them with the ship's tracking devices."
Starfire looked at them both as she curiously asked, "But how are we to repair it in these unfortunate circumstances?"
Cyborg smiled confidently as he pointed his thumb at himself before pointing his finger at her as he said, "No problem Star. I got it covered. First, you bring back the pods so we can get the T-Ship back in one piece again."
Starfire nodded and quickly flew off, and a moment later she flew back as she carried her pod over her head and then set it down in front of Robin's. She then flew away again and came back with Cyborg's pod, and she put it down on the ground near the other two.
Cyborg smiled happily as he retracted his right hand and made a blowtorch come out of his arm as he said, "Nice Star. Now let's get to work."
Meanwhile, Raven was floating through the jungle while Beast Boy climbed through the trees as a monkey. Raven stayed close and showed concern for Beast Boy; he had not spoken to her since they reunited and she could still sense his sadness.
She floated closer to him as she said, "Beast Boy, will you please talk to me?"
Beast Boy stopped and looked at her with surprise as she admitted, "Yeah, I can't believe I just said that either."
Beast Boy turned human and showed a sad expression as he said, "What do you want to talk about? How I'm so stupid and useless?"
Raven spoke honestly as she said, "You're not useless."
He turned away from her and started walking away as he sadly said, "That's not what you said at the Tower."
Raven followed him as she sincerely said, "Beast Boy, I was just blowing off steam. I didn't know you were listening."
Beast Boy stopped and then turned around to face her as he asked, "So you don't think I'm such a screw up?"
Raven glanced around as she reluctantly said, "Well… I… Uh… I…"
Beast Boy turned back around as he sadly said, "Yeah, that's what I thought."
Raven followed him with a guilty expression as she said to herself, "I really wish Starfire was here."
Meanwhile, Starfire was still with Robin and Cyborg as the three of them continued to work on fixing the T-Ship. Cyborg used some tools in his arms to fix some parts inside the T-Ship while Robin and Starfire sat on a boulder and watched him.
While he worked Robin looked around and then smiled at Starfire as he said, "This place may be dangerous, but it's not so bad. It reminds me of the last time we were stranded on an alien planet. Remember that?"
Starfire smiled lovingly as she blushed and put her fingertips together while she said, "Yes Robin. This world does return memories of our time on that hostile planet together."
Robin scooted closer to Starfire with a sly smile as he said, "Remember how mad at me you were at first? And then when we were alone in that cave?"
Starfire blushed brightly as she happily said, "Yes. It is a moment I will never forget."
They smiled at each other lovingly and leaned closer to kiss until Cyborg stood up and said, "Alright, I got these three pods fixed up, now we need work on getting the other two. Starfire, go out and see if you can find BB and Rae's pods and bring them back."
Starfire stood up and smiled eagerly as she said, "Yes Cyborg."
Robin watched as his girlfriend flew away and when Cyborg turned around Robin glared at him with an annoyed expression. Meanwhile, Beast Boy and Raven were still making their way through the jungle of the planet when they came to a cliff.
Beast Boy pointed his left finger at smoke in the distance and said, "Look! Smoke means fire. You think it's the others."
Raven stared out at the smoke as she honestly said, "Could be, or it could be something else. Either way it's worth a look."
Beast Boy turned into a bird as he and Raven flew toward the smoke and came to a small village of tribal aliens, the smoke came from a large bonfire in the middle of the village. The people of the village looked like purple humanoid simians who wore hardly any clothing and had spears and other primitive weapons. They were approximately eight feet tall, they had bright purple skin and dark purple fur that covered certain parts of their bodies. They had dense patches of fur that covered their torsos, their groins, their cruses and feet (except for the toes), and their forearms and hands (except for the fingers). They had feet like a gorilla's and had long monkey-like tails that had more fur on them, and they had faces that looked like an ape's. The males had thick beards while the females only had hair on their heads, braided in long pony tails; the males were more muscular while the females had thinner girlish figures.
Beast Boy and Raven landed on the edge of the village as Beast Boy turned human and sadly said, "Looks like I was wrong again."
Raven glanced around the village as she said, "Yeah but maybe these people can still help us."
Some of the alien tribals spotted the two teens and pointed at them while making noises that sounded like an animal. One of them pointed at Beast Boy and Raven and then he and a bunch of other natives approached them with spears.
They stood in front of the two teens as Raven nervously said, "Um… We come in peace."
The purple alien natives pointed their spears at them while the leader of the tribe came, wearing a large hat and necklace, and carrying a staff in his right hand. The leader looked down at Beast Boy and Raven as he made animalistic grunts and growls with a suspicious expression.
Raven stared at their spears as she said, "Um…"
Beast Boy then got an idea as he transformed into a green version of their species, which shocked and frightened them. Beast Boy looked at the leader as he made noises identical to theirs as he started to communicate with them. Raven watched with interest as Beast Boy communicated with the chief of the tribe while moving his hands around.
Beast Boy turned human and Raven curiously asked, "What did they say?"
Beast Boy looked at her as he held his palm up toward the chief and said, "They want to know who we are and what we want."
Raven looked at Beast Boy as she said, "Tell them we crashed here on this planet and we're looking for our friends. Ask them if they've seen them."
Beast Boy turned into a green version of the alien species again as he started communicating with the chief again.
He turned back and told Raven, "They haven't seen them anywhere."
Raven then said, "Ask them if they'll help us find them."
Beast Boy once again changed into a green version of their kind and spoke with the chief before turning back and saying, "They're not sure they can trust us."
Raven looked up at the purple fury people as she said, "Then we need to find a way to earn their trust."
Suddenly the ground started shaking beneath their feet and Beast Boy asked, "Whoa! What's going on?!"
Suddenly a large alien worm rose out of the ground and looked down at them and roared, showing all its giant teeth. The alien natives all made noises of fear while Raven floated up in the air in front of the giant worm.
Her eyes glowed white as she held her hands out and chanted, "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
She then shot bolts of magical black lightning at the worm and made it scream in pain before it tunneled back underground and retreated. The purple natives cheered in joy and excitement while Raven floated back down, Beast Boy turned into a green version of their species again and spoke with the chief.
Beast Boy turned human and told Raven, "They're thanking us for chasing off that worm thing."
Raven then said, "Ask them if they'll help us now."
Beast Boy changed to his alien native form again as he communicated with the chief, when he was done he changed back and said, "Not yet. They want us to help them with something else."
Raven then asked, "What?"
Beast Boy briefly pointed up at the sky and said, "Every night when the moon is high some monster comes to their village and takes one of them away, never to be seen again. They want us to drive it away for good."
Raven understood as she looked up at the alien simian people and said, "Okay, we'll do it."
Seemingly understanding her, the purple alien natives raised their staffs and spears in the air as they made noises of celebration.
Beast Boy looked at Raven as he sadly said, "You'll do it by yourself."
Raven was surprised as she looked at Beast Boy and said, "What about you?"
Beast Boy walked away as he sadly moped, "I'll sit this one out. I'll just get in your way and mess things up."
He walked into the village as he hung his head in sadness while Raven watched him with guilt and sympathy. She glanced up at the sky and saw the position of the moon, and she knew that they had time before the monster came to attack the village. Sometime later, Beast Boy was sitting on a log by the bonfire as he held his head in his hands and sulked. The villagers were getting ready for when the creature would arrive, as a precaution, and Raven could only think about her depressed friend as she stared at him.
Raven came up behind him as she said, "Beast Boy, we need to talk."
Beast Boy glanced up at the moon as he said, "Raven, shouldn't you be getting ready? That monster's gonna be here soon."
Raven spoke sincerely as she said, "I know, that's why I'm here. I need your help."
Beast Boy glanced at her and sadly said, "You don't need me. You sent that worm packing just like that."
Raven looked a bit urgent as she said, "We don't know anything about this monster that's been taking their people. It could be something much worse than that giant worm. I need your help."
Beast Boy stared down at the ground as he sadly said, "No you don't. I'll just screw it up. It's all that I'm good at."
Raven sat down next to Beast Boy as she sincerely said, "That's not true."
Beast Boy stared forward as he sulked, "Yeah it is."
Raven shook her head and honestly said, "No it isn't. You used your powers to talk to these aliens and reason with them. If it weren't for you, they might've attacked us without hesitation."
Beast Boy glanced at her before turning looking around as he sadly said, "I just caught a lucky break. Just one moment. All I ever do is mess things up for everyone else. It's my fault we're stuck here in the first place."
Raven briefly glanced to the side as she honestly said, "True, but you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. There were asteroids everywhere. Even a great pilot would have trouble getting through that. We might've crashed down anyway, or worse."
Beast Boy kept sulking as he said, "I panicked and crashed into you, and everyone else crashed because of me too."
Raven did not hold it against him as she said, "It was a dangerous situation. It could happen to anyone. We all make mistakes. I have a few regrets of my own."
Beast Boy looked down at the ground again as he sadly said, "Not as many as me. You were right. I'm just a screwup who can't do anything right."
Raven sighed and then solemnly said, "Look, I know I hurt your feelings but sulking won't solve anything. If we're going to stop this thing and find the others I need you. I want you. For better or worse."
Beast Boy was surprised as he looked at her, then they heard one of the alien natives blow a horn and they looked up to see the moon directly overhead.
The villagers went into their huts to hide and Raven pulled her hood up as she said, "Looks like it's time."
She and Beast Boy stood up and stayed close to each other as they looked around for any sign of the creature that was scaring these people. Suddenly they turned their heads as a creature dug its way out of the ground and let out a loud roar as it climbed out. Beast Boy and Raven looked at the creature and were shocked as they recognized the creature, it was the Cironielian Chrysalis Eater.
The Chrysalis Eater spotted Beast Boy and Raven, recognizing them as she angrily said, "You!"
Beast Boy pointed at her accusingly and said, "Hey! You're that alien bug/crab thing that tried to eat Starfire!"
The Chrysalis Eater glared at them as she furiously exclaimed, "And you are the children who stole my meal!"
Raven stared at the Chrysalis Eater as she said, "But I thought you were eaten by that carnivorous alien plant."
The Chrysalis Eater walked sideways around the two of them as she explained, "Almost. After that plant swallowed me whole, I tore my way out of its stomach and escaped. I wandered the galaxy alone for days before finally arriving on this planet. I've had to survive by feeding off these fury savages ever since."
Beast Boy stared at the Chrysalis Eater as he smiled nervously and said, "Well uh… Nice catching up with you."
The Chrysalis Eater smiled evilly as she leaned forward and said, "But now that you pests are here, I shall devour you two instead!"
Raven glared daggers at the Chrysalis Eater as she defiantly said, "Sorry. You're gonna have to go hungry tonight."
She then shrieked as she charged at them, Raven floated in the air and avoided her as the Chrysalis Eater jabbed her claws at her. Raven flew away and then the Chrysalis Eater turned to Beast Boy and tried to grab him with her claws, but he turned into a hummingbird and dodged her. She tried to grab him twice but he avoided her, then she tried to eat him but he avoided her jaws and flew behind her. She turned around to see Raven floating in the air with a large boulder encased in her black magic, which she hurled at the Chrysalis Eater. The boulder hit the Chrysalis Eater and smashed against her body as it forced her back, but she stayed on her feet and then jumped at Raven. She came at Raven with her claws out but Raven disappeared in a field of her black magic and the Chrysalis Eater hit the ground instead. She shrieked in frustration and then Raven reappeared behind her and hit her with a beam of her dark energy. She knocked the Chrysalis Eater back but she hissed and charged at Raven again and swung her claw at her. Raven swiftly avoided her claw as she floated up above it and then she flew over the Chrysalis Eater. She turned around and saw Beast Boy standing in his human form, then she came at him and jabbed her claw at him.
Beast Boy changed into a weasel and ran away while the Chrysalis Eater swung her claws down at him three times, trying to scoop him. Beast Boy was too quick as he dodged her claws while running away until he came to a boulder and looked up at her. The Chrysalis Eater looked down at Beast Boy and pulled her right claw back as she prepared to smash him with it. Beast Boy turned into a monkey and dodged her claw as she dug it into the ground, then he climbed up her arm and started moving around on her body. She moved around and snarled as she tried to get the green monkey off of her but he was too fast for her to grab him. Beast Boy jumped off her when another boulder was hurled at her by Raven and knocked her back, but the Chrysalis Eater got back up and hissed at Raven. Raven threw her hands out and launched a blast of her black magic at the Chrysalis Eater, but she swiftly dodged it and charged at Raven. Raven quickly held her hands out and formed a barrier of her black magic, but the Chrysalis Eater jabbed it with her claw and made Raven cry in pain as it knocked her down.
Raven looked up at the Chrysalis Eater as she stood over her and Raven said, "Beast Boy, a little help please!"
The Chrysalis Eater hissed until a glob of venom was spit at her from behind and she turned around to see Beast Boy as a Dilophosaurus. He hissed at her with the fan on his face out and then the Chrysalis Eater angrily charged at him and prepared to attack. Raven then flew at the Chrysalis Eater from behind, but she turned and saw Raven and then squirt a purple web at her from her abdomen. Raven was trapped in a cocoon of purple webbing that knocked her to the ground, with her head sticking out of the cocoon.
Beast Boy watched in fear as he turned human and then yelled, "Dude!"
Raven looked at the purple web cocoon trapping her with an annoyed expression as she said, "Okay, this is just gross."
Beast Boy looked at her as he urgently yelled, "Raven! Are you okay?!"
She struggled but could not escape as she looked at Beast Boy and said, "I'm fine but I can't get out! I didn't know she could do that!"
The Chrysalis Eater walked and stood over Raven as she smiled and gloated, "Oh I can do much more than that my dear."
Beast Boy promptly narrowed his eyes and started running toward her while he yelled, "Get away from her!"
He then morphed into a rhino and charged at the Chrysalis Eater, but she turned to him and grabbed him with her claws, stopping him in his tracks. She lifted the green rhino up and threw him away but he morphed into a Pteranodon and flew at her and picked her with his beak. She was mildly irritated as she swatted him away, then he landed and turned into Velociraptor and sprinted toward the Chrysalis Eater. He jumped at her but she swung her left claw at him and knocked him away, sending him crashing to the ground. He got back up and changed into a kangaroo and jumped at the Chrysalis Eater, then while moving through the air he turned into a sasquatch. He slammed his fists down on top of the Chrysalis Eater, but she barely moved as she grabbed him in her claws and threw him away. Beast Boy landed on the ground and reverted to his human form as he groaned in pain and started to get up on his knees while the Chrysalis Eater came to him.
She looked down at Beast Boy and smiled as she gloated, "Pathetic green creature! You are weak and stupid! No match for me!"
Beast Boy glared up at the Chrysalis Eater and then transformed into a Martian Pit-Rex as he roared ferociously and jumped at her. He grabbed her upper body with his hands and wrapped his hairlocks around her arms as he stared her in the face and roared with his tongue out. The Chrysalis Eater then grabbed him in her claws and pried him off of her before throwing him away, sending him crashing into the nearby jungle as he hit a few trees. Beast Boy was knocked out as he reverted to his human form and groaned before finally losing consciousness.
Raven, still trapped by the purple webbing, watched in fear as she yelled, "Beast Boy!"
The Chrysalis Eater stared in the direction she threw Beast Boy before walking back to Raven while she evilly said, "Such a weak morsel! Not enough for my taste or appetite! You, however, may be a satisfying meal for me."
Raven looked up at the Chrysalis Eater nervously as the Chrysalis Eater picked her up and held her in her claws.
She smiled evilly as she stared Raven in the face, then she stared at the horizon and said, "Let us return to my nest, so that I may eat in peace."
She walked away with Raven in her claws while the purple simian natives of the village came out and watched her leave. Some of the villagers went into the jungle and looked down at the unconscious Beast Boy laying on the ground.
Commercial break
Beast Boy woke up in the village when the purple alien natives splashed water in his face and shocked him awake.
He then sat up and looked around as he said, "Huh?! What?! What happened?"
He looked up to see the alien natives looking down at him then Beast Boy remembered everything that happened.
He frantically looked around, back and forth, then looked at the natives as he said, "Raven! Where's Raven?!"
The chief made his animal noises while pointing in the direction that the Chrysalis Eater took Raven earlier.
Beast Boy seemingly understood as he said, "She took her, didn't she?"
The chief nodded and Beast Boy sulked and looked down at the ground as he said, "Now I really messed up."
The chief seemed to show sympathy as he made soft animal noises, but Beast Boy kept looking down as he said, "No, Raven's gone and it's my fault. She needed my help and I couldn't give her any. I let her down."
The chief showed a serious expression as he growled, roared, and made other noises while clinching his fist and moving his hand around.
Beast Boy narrowed his eyes as he stood up and said, "You're right! I gotta save Raven! Screwup or not, I'm not gonna let that space spider eat my friend!"
He then morphed into a green version of the flying creature that he saved Raven from earlier and he flew off in the direction the Chrysalis Eater took her.
Meanwhile at the repair sight
Cyborg was still working on fixing the T-Ship while Robin sat on a boulder with his arms folded as he waited for Starfire to return.
Cyborg started to grow impatient as he glanced around upward and said, "What's taking Star so long with those other two pods."
Robin eyed Cyborg as he lectured, "Take it easy Cyborg. She has to find them first and that could take a while."
Cyborg's expression softened as he looked at Robin and said, "I guess, but I wish she'd get here already so we can get the T-Ship flying again."
Robin showed a mildly concerned expression as he said, "I do feel like she should've been back by now. Maybe we should go look for her."
Cyborg smiled confidently for a moment before being practical as he said, "Relax Rob. Your girlfriend can take care of herself. Besides, you and me can't fly."
Robin looked down as he said, "True."
Suddenly they both looked up as they heard Starfire happily exclaim, "Friends! I have returned with our remaining pods!"
Cyborg smiled as he clinched his fist and said, "Yeah!
Robin simultaneously punched the air as he happily exclaimed, "Great Starfire!"
She floated in the air as she carried the T-Ship's two remaining pods, stacked up as she floated down and landed before setting the two pods down.
She held her hand out as she explained, "I could not find Raven or Beast Boy, but I was able to locate their empty pods."
Cyborg smiled as he looked at the two pods and explained, "No problem, Star. With these I should be able to get the T-Ship fixed up, then we can find Rae and BB and get home."
Starfire smiled happily as she put her hands together while floating and said, "I am most joyous to hear that Cyborg."
Robin walked up to her with a congratulatory smile as he complimented, "Nice work Starfire! You're amazing!"
She blushed with a big flattered smile as she affectionately said, "Thank you Robin. You are most flattering."
Robin smiled as he grabbed Starfire and pulled her close as they kissed on the lips and then smiled at each other.
Cyborg interrupted them as he said, "Yo! Sorry to spoil your little romantic moment, but could one of you give me a hand with this."
Robin and Starfire both showed annoyed expressions before going over to Cyborg to help him fix the T-Ship.
Robin shot Cyborg a small glare as he complained, "You know, you can really be a third wheel sometimes."
Cyborg smiled as he shut his eyes and shrugged before getting back to work on the T-Ship while Robin and Starfire helped him.
Meanwhile in the jungle
The Chrysalis Eater had already brought Raven to her nest, which was a dark creepy area in the jungle, near the bottom of a cliff, littered with bones from her other meals. Raven was still restrained by the purple cocoon she was trapped in with only her head and face still visible. The Chrysalis Eater had already put her in what looked like a giant purple spider web made between two tree trunks. Raven was about five feet above the ground as she squirmed and struggled in the web but could not escape. She couldn't even move her fingers at all so she couldn't use her powers to free herself in any way, as the web had her completely trapped. The Chrysalis Eater then descended down and hung in front of her from a web coming out of her abdomen.
The Chrysalis Eater stared Raven in the face as she sadistically said, "Revenge is the most delicious meal of all!"
A second smaller mouth came out of the back of the Chrysalis Eater's throat on a tube as she prepared to eat Raven alive.
Raven stared at the Chrysalis Eater's second mouth in both fear and disgust as she said, "I never thought I would miss Trigon."
The Chrysalis Eater stopped when they both suddenly heard a loud shriek and they saw Beast Boy fly down and land on the ground in the nest.
He then turned human and pointed at the Chrysalis Eater while he fiercely said, "Hey! Raven is not on the menu!"
Raven smiled down at Beast Boy gratefully as she said, "Way to take your time, but better late than never."
The Chrysalis Eater lowered herself down to the ground and stood in front of Beast Boy as she said, "Foolish boy! You cannot hope to defeat me!"
Beast Boy clinched his fists as he said, "Well I can try."
Beast Boy then transformed into a Gigantopithecus and roared as he swung his fist at the Chrysalis Eater and knocked her away. She crashed into a tree but got back up and roared as she charged at Beast Boy while he ran at her, still a Gigantopithecus. He raised both arms in the air and tried to slam his fists down on top of the Chrysalis Eater, but she grabbed his arms in her claws. She then threw him over her shoulder and turned around to slam him into the ground while hissing. Beast Boy got up and turned into a mammoth as he rammed the Chrysalis Eater and forced her back, but she grabbed his tusks and held him in place. She then pushed him back and knocked him into a tree trunk behind him, prompting her to smile evilly at him. She then charged at him and jabbed her claws at him, only for him to change into a bird and fly behind her. He transformed into a Stegosaurus and swung his tail at the Chrysalis Eater, knocking her into another tree trunk. She got on her feet and glared at him before she looked down and used her claws to tunnel underground. Beast Boy stared at the hole she dug cautiously, but then she dug herself out of the ground directly under him and knocked the green Stegosaurus down.
Beast Boy turned into a Therizinosaurus and stood up as he slashed his claws at the Chrysalis Eater, but he did not hurt her much. She swung her left claw at him and knocked him down, but he got back up and charged at her as a Triceratops, ramming her and sending her crashing threw three tree trunks. She stopped and slid on the ground by the bottom of the cliff, then she got back up and saw Beast Boy charging at her again. The Chrysalis Eater turned around and walked up the side of the cliff, like a spider, and Beast Boy stopped as he looked up and watched her go up. He then transformed into a Quetzalcoatlus and flew after the Chrysalis Eater as he approached the side of the cliff. He came close to her and pecked her with his huge beak, but she jumped off the cliff and grabbed Beast Boy, sending them both crashing to the ground. Beast Boy reverted to his human form as he groaned in pain and then the Chrysalis Eater tried to bite him, but he rolled out of the way. He then transformed into a T-Rex and towered over the Chrysalis Eater as he roared ferociously at her. He then grabbed her abdomen in his mouth and shook her around like a chew toy before throwing her at a tree trunk, knocking it over. She got back up and saw Beast Boy charging at her while he roared, but she jumped at him and swung her right claw at his face. She knocked the green T-Rex to the ground and Beast Boy reverted to his human form again as she stood over him while he groaned in pain.
He desperately got on his knees as the Chrysalis Eater glared down at him and gloated, "Weak little pest! You are worthless!"
Raven, still trapped in the purple web, watched as she desperately said, "Don't listen to her Beast Boy! You can beat her! You're not worthless, you're strong!"
Beast Boy looked at Raven with a touched smile, then the Chrysalis Eater smiled sadistically as she said, "First I shall devour you, and then I will have your friend for dessert!"
She tried to bite him but Beast Boy dodged her teeth and glared daggers at her as he fiercely yelled, "I may be a screw up, but I'm gonna screw up your big dinner plan!"
He turned into a camel and spit in her face, then she shook the saliva off her face and angrily swung her claw at him. He turned into a fly and avoided her claw as she missed and smashed it into the ground, making a large hole. Beast Boy flew behind the Chrysalis Eater and then turned into a Titanoboa and slithered toward her and then tried to wrap his body around her. She was too quick as she jumped away from him and then grabbed his tail with her claws and lashed him at a nearby tree. He then turned into a lion and jumped at her but she swung her right claw at him and knocked him away as he hit the ground. He got up and jumped at her again and turned into a gorilla as he tried to slam her with his fists, but she grabbed his arm in her claw and held him up. Beast boy escaped her grip as he turned into a hummingbird, but then she lunged forward and seemingly ate him. She smiled until her mouth was forced open and Beast Boy climbed out of her mouth as an octopus, he stretched his tentacles out of her mouth and pulled himself out. She spit him out to the ground stood over him as she watched the green octopus start crawling with his tentacles
She glared at him as she arrogantly gloated, "Surrender stupid child! You are no match for a beast like me!"
Beast Boy turned human and glared at her as he fiercely said, "Then I'll fight fire with fire! Let's see how a beast does against another beast!"
He then transformed into his most powerful form of all, the Werebeast, and roared ferociously as he clinched his fists.
Raven watched in awe as she said, "Oh boy."
The Chrysalis Eater smiled arrogantly as she tried to grab Beast Boy with her claws, but he swiftly dodged them and then punched her in the face. He sent her crashing through a tree trunk and then jumped at her and slashed his claws at her face, knocking her down again.
The Chrysalis Eater got up and glared at the Werebeast as she angrily said, "You think yourself vicious? I will show you vicious!"
He stood on all fours when the Chrysalis Eater came at him and tried to bite him, but he jumped over her and then slammed his feet down on her back, pounding her into the ground. She got back up and managed to grab Beast Boy in her claws and then threw him at the side of the cliff, but he flipped through the air and pressed his feet against the cliffside. He then launched himself at the Chrysalis Eater and punched her hard in the face and sent her crashing through three tree trunks.
Raven smiled as she kept watching and happily said, "Go Beast Boy!"
The Chrysalis Eater got back up and glared at as she saw Beast Boy running toward her on all fours as he roared viciously. She then jumped at him with her claws out and grabbed him as she pinned him to the ground, stared him in the face and snarled at her. Beast Boy roared at her as he broke free from her grip, grabbed her, and lifted him over his head as he stood up. He then threw her down to the ground and then slammed both his fists on top of her, prompting her to cry in pain. She looked up at him as Beast Boy raised his fists over his head and prepared to slam her again, but she squirted a purple web from her abdomen at his face. The web covered his eyes and Beast Boy yelled in rage as he stopped and then the Chrysalis Eater got back up and knocked him away with her claw. Beast Boy crashed through a tree trunk and landed on his back when he hit the ground, he got back up and managed to rip the purple web off his face. He could see again as the Chrysalis Eater charged at him and tackled hi as she kept running and then slammed him into the bottom of the cliffside. Raven watched with concern as the Chrysalis Eater clamped her claws onto Beast Boy's upper arms and pinned him against the cliffside.
Beast Boy struggled and gritted his teeth in rage while the Chrysalis Eater stared him in the face and gloated, "You are a pathetic creature! Now meet your doom!"
She then bit Beast Boy's right shoulder, prompting the Werebeast to let out a loud cry of pain as she sunk her teeth into his fury shoulder. He looked and saw Raven still in the purple web as she watched with a fearful expression and then Beast Boy gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes fiercely. He glared at the Chrysalis Eater as he kicked her with both his feet and forced her off of him as she stumbled backwards. He got on his feet and glared at the Chrysalis Eater while she hissed and came at him again with her claws out. Beast Boy then fought with much ferocity as he repeatedly slashed his claws at the Chrysalis Eater's upper body several times. He then tackled her and they tumbled across the ground before he got up and threw her at a tree trunk, knocking it down. She got back up and jumped at Beast Boy, but he dodged her and then slashed his claws at her face and made her stumble back again.
She jabbed her claw at him but Beast Boy dodged it and then bit her upper arm and made her scream in agony before hitting him and making him release her. He slid backwards on his feet and then jumped over a hundred feet in the air and then came crashing down as he tried to slam his feet on top of her. The Chrysalis Eater jumped back and avoided Beast Boy as he smashed his feet into the ground and roared at her. She then hit him with her right claw and knocked him back, but Beast Boy spotted a fallen tree and then saw the Chrysalis Eater charging at him. He then lifted the tree in the air with his superstrength and swung it like a bat, sending the Chrysalis Eater flying through the air as she screamed. She went hundreds of feet into the air and Beast Boy watched as she plummeted down onto a mountain that was miles away, still screaming.
Beast Boy then let out a beastly howl of triumph, then turned to Raven as she smiled and said, "I'm glad you're on our side."
Beast Boy calmed down and then changed into a bear as he walked to Raven and used his claws to cut her free from the web.
She floated down to the ground and Beast Boy turned human as he asked, "You okay?"
She smiled at him as she kindly said, "Yeah. Thanks to you."
Beast Boy smiled with a bit of pride as he said, "I guess I finally managed to do something right, huh? Not bad for a screwup."
Raven smiled at him as she happily said, "Way to go Garfield."
Beast Boy showed a flattered smile as he looked at her and she kept smiling back at him with gratitude and appreciation.
Later at the village
Beast Boy and Raven returned to find the purple simian people gathering at the edge as they looked at them curiously.
Raven looked up at them all as she pointed her thumb at Beast Boy and said, "Beast Boy defeated the Chrysalis Eater. She won't terrorize your people anymore."
They all smiled and raised their arms as they made animal sounds of joy and celebration while Beast Boy and Raven smiled happily. Some of the alien natives went to Beast Boy and smiled as they patted him on the back, seemingly congratulating him as they made more noises.
Beast Boy seemed to understand them as he said, "You're welcome."
Raven smiled at Beast Boy with respect as she said, "You did great today Beast Boy. You saved me and saved all these people."
Beast Boy was flattered as he said, "Thanks Raven."
Raven kept looking at him with a heartfelt expression as she sincerely said, "Listen Beast Boy, I'm sorry about what I said about you back at the Tower. I didn't really mean it. You're not such a screwup, not all the time."
Beast Boy was surprised as he asked, "I'm not?"
Raven smiled as she listed things on her fingers and pointed her thumb at the village while she solemnly said, "No. You mess up a lot but you also help out a lot and come through when we really need you. You helped the Titans West beat the Brotherhood of Evil. You helped Terra overcome herself and rise against Slade. And if it weren't for you the Chrysalis Eater would still be terrorizing this village. You're not a screwup, you're a Titan. You're a hero."
Beast Boy smiled in amazement as he said, "Really?"
Raven smiled proudly as she sincerely said, "Really. You drive me crazy sometimes, but I'm glad you're one of us."
Beast Boy was touched as smiled and hugged Raven with his eyes shut, while she stared forward awkwardly and blushed.
Raven then looked at Beast Boy and awkwardly said, "I'm glad you're feeling better, but you can let go of me now."
Beast Boy pulled away from her and smiled sheepishly as he said, "Sorry."
Just then, the T-Ship flew down and hovered in front of them as Cyborg smiled and happily said, "Hey y'all!"
Beast Boy and Raven smiled up at them all while Beast Boy happily exclaimed, "Dudes! You're okay! Sweet!"
Raven kept smiling as she said, "Glad you all made it."
Robin noticed the village and all the natives as he curiously asked, "Are you guys okay? What's going on here?"
Raven smiled as she glanced at the village and said, "It's a long story."
Sometime later
The T-Ship was parked just outside the village and Beast Boy introduced Robin, Starfire, and Cyborg to the natives. He used his powers to communicate with them and explain that they were their friends who they'd been looking for. After they introduced them Robin, Starfire, and Cyborg sat by the bonfire while Beast Boy and Raven explained everything that happened to them.
Raven smiled as she held her left hand toward Beast Boy and said, "And then Beast Boy defeated her and freed me from the web."
The others were very impressed as Cyborg high-fived Beast Boy and happily said, "Oh yeah! Way to go BB!"
Starfire put her hands together as she happily said, "Yes! Bravo Beast Boy! You performed most heroically!"
Beast Boy had his wrists on his hips and a smug grin on his face while he proudly said, "Just doing my job."
Raven smiled as she rolled her eyes, glad to have the old Beast Boy back with his confidence and self-esteem restored.
Robin smiled at Beast Boy, glanced around, then pointed his thumb at the T-Ship while he said, "Great job Beast Boy, but I think that's enough space exploring for one day. What do you guys say we head home?"
Beast Boy smiled happily as he said, "Yes!"
Cyborg simultaneously exclaimed, "Yeah!"
Raven followed them to the T-Ship as she said, "Thought you'd never ask."
They got in the T-Ship and the purple alien natives waved "goodbye" to them as they started to take off and then flew into the sky.
As they flew Starfire looked at the others from her pod as she thought out loud and said, "Perhaps it was good that Beast Boy caused us to crash on this planet."
The others were surprised but then Cyborg thought and said, "I guess if we didn't come here that alien bug thing would've kept taking those guys."
Robin thought and stared forward as he honestly said, "It was a pretty big mistake, but have to admit that something good came out of it. Coming to this planet wasn't a complete waste of time."
Beast Boy smiled proudly as he glanced around at the others and said, "Guess I'm not such a screwup after all, huh?"
Raven turned her head and smiled snidely at Beast Boy as she said, "Maybe, but let's not make a habit out of this."
The others smiled and laughed as they flew the T-Ship higher into the sky, unaware that they were being watched. The Chrysalis Eater was standing on the mountain Beast Boy knocked her to earlier as she watched the T-Ship fly away.
She watched the ship with an angry expression as she said, "I will have my revenge on you young morsels!"
Suddenly Blackfire came and flew down behind her and the Chrysalis Eater turned around and looked at her curiously.
Blackfire had a sinister smile on her face as she deviously said, "You want revenge? I can help you with that."
Later at Titans Tower
It was nighttime and the Titans had already eaten a late dinner and talked about when their next trip into space would be. Robin agreed to hold off on anymore searches for a while, but did not want to give up their search to find Blackfire. After their short meeting they all decided to go to bed and get some sleep, for they all had a big eventful day. Raven was walking through a hallway by herself as she headed for her room to get some rest.
Suddenly Beast Boy came and joined her as he said, "Hey Raven! Wait!"
He walked with her as she looked at him and curiously asked, "What?"
Beast Boy walked with her as he curiously asked, "Did you really mean all that stuff you said to me on that planet?"
Raven stared forward as she honestly said, "Of course. You may be a pain in the butt but you're still my friend."
Beast Boy had a flattered smile as he turned to her and said, "Thanks Rae. That really means a lot coming from you."
Raven glanced to the side as she honestly said, "Maybe I'm a little too hard on you sometimes, but I do appreciate all that you do to help out around here."
Beast Boy was surprised as he smiled and said, "You mean it?"
Raven briefly glanced at him before looking forward while she kept walking as she honestly said, "Yeah. You may be a headache sometimes but you're still a valuable member of the team and you're a good friend."
Beast Boy felt very flattered as he happily said, "Dude! I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me."
Raven stopped and Beast Boy looked at her curiously as she said, "I know I don't show it a lot but I do care about you and I hate seeing you so sad, especially when it's my fault. You get on my nerves but I'd never do anything to hurt you. Honestly, there are times when you're stupid jokes and cheerful attitude actually make me happy."
Beast Boy was touched as he smiled and said, "Awww!"
Raven then glared at him and pointed her finger as she firmly said, "Don't ever tell anyone that I said that!"
Beast Boy smiled as he complied and zipped his mouth shut and Raven said, "Good. Now let's get some sleep. Goodnight."
She walked away and Beast Boy smiled as he said, "Goodnight."
He turned around and started walking to his room with a big smile on his face as he started to blush at what Raven said.

Author's note: So we see sparks starting to burn between Beast Boy and Raven, this foreshadows events of my future stories. I could definitely picture this happening, where Raven accidentally hurts Beast Boy's feelings and she has to try to make him feel better. I decided it would be good to give Blackfire a small role in this chapter. We will see the Chrysalis Eater again and next time I will have her demonstrate even more of her powers. She's not much of villain though, more like a vicious alien beast, but you'll like what I have in mind for her. Please review.
