Author's Message: My apologies for the message without a new chapter—something I try not to do—but a major change is happening. I wrote myself into a corner with Artoria to avoid her creeping on a too-young Shirou and was not sure how to resolve it, but an unexpected solution occurred when I was trying to find a solution to something else entirely.
Because so much of the story became disjointed, I am going to split this story into the main story and a separate fic called Fate Recast: Side Stories that has elements that are less essential(such as Tachie and Kaleidostick Ruby) but are still canon and part of the worldbuilding. Many of the things that would have happened between now and when Shirou turns 13 would fit under the Side Stories banner. As there will no longer be a large number of chapters in the main story before the next timeskip when Shirou would turn 13 and Artoria 15, it is appropriate to discard the amnesia aspect entirely and simply rework the last two chapters.
Artoria Lily will still exist and much of the story will remain the same, but her mind will be a full merging of Saber and Lancer instead of being amnesiac. I only regret not finding this solution sooner.
