The Ultimate tournament is underway, and Princess Peach has prepared a ceremony that will begin the tournament. However, on the day of the ceremony, Peach has been kidnapped! Mario and Luigi figure out the truth of Peach's disappearance with the help of the other fighters. Meanwhile, mysterious creatures began invading other worlds. Could this be the long-awaited return of Tabuu?

Peach's Castle (10 years ago)

Another day at the castle, and Mario is relaxing on Peach's bed, thinking of her as she was away for a few errands. Laying up staring at her ceiling before she walks into the bedroom.

"Mario! I have some more exciting news!" Peach cheered.

"Oh? What is it, princess?" Mario asked, sitting up on the bed.

"I've been in contact meeting up with a mysterious hand in space, and we came to an agreement about this Smash Bros. thing." Peach said, clapping her hands together.

"Oh, that sounds good. What did you decide on with it?" Mario asked.

"12 fighters. 10 stages." Peach answered. "Now we've talked about which fighters to join, but I'm sure you know one of them, Mario."

"Luigi?" Mario questioned.

"Well, yes, but I'm actually talking about you!" Peach said.

"Me?!" Mario said, in shock.

"Yes." Peach giggles. "You were the first person I thought of, since you always come to my rescue and save the kingdom from Bowser's clutches. Of course, you're the first fighter to join this thing. I love you so much."

"Oh…Peach. Thank you. I love you too." Mario said, as he leans over to kiss Peach's cheek.

"You're welcome, Mario. I love you too, but you're not the only one along with Luigi who I invited." Peach said.

"Who else?" Mario asked, in curious.

"Well, I also invited Donkey Kong, and Yoshi as well. I'm not inviting Bowser for obvious reasons since he could take over the kingdom again, and I know you just hate Wario as well, so he's out of the game. But I also invited other people from other worlds that Master Hand brought over."

"Who?" Mario asked.

"Link from the kingdom of Hyrule, Samus from the faraway planets and galaxies, Kirby from Planet Popstar, Fox McCloud from the Lylat System, Pikachu and Jigglypuff from the Kanto region, Ness from a small town called Onett, and Captain Falcon from Port Town." Peach answered as she goes through the list of names of who she invited.

"Wait, wait, wait. What about you? And Daisy too? Can't you guys participate?" Mario asked.

"Well, I would, but the next time we have a meetup like this, I'll invite myself and maybe Daisy too. She can get on my nerves whenever we match up with one another." Peach said.

"So, are they coming soon?" Mario asked.

"Actually, they're in the kingdom right now. I just have to make the announcement to the citizens of the kingdom and introduce the very first match of the day. All you have to do is take DK, Yoshi, and Pikachu on a walk together and kick Yoshi in the foot." Peach instructed.

"What?! Princess, I can't just kick Yoshi like that, he's my friend." Mario said, worried.

"Don't worry. Yoshi knows about this tournament. If he's getting to the introduction of having to fight against other people, he should know that you're the person that'll start it. He won't be angry at you." Peach said, putting her hand on her hero's shoulder. Mario looks at her bright smile until he speaks out.

"Okay. I'll do it. If this will get our kingdom to welcome strangers from other worlds, then so be it." Mario said.

"Thank you, Mario!" Peach said, kissing her hero multiple times on the cheeks. Mario blushes lightly by the many kisses his girlfriend was giving him.

Secret Abandoned Facility

A vent door opens from above a roof, as a woman, in her thirties begins to crawl down the ceiling. This woman has blonde hair in a ponytail, blue eyes, and wears a blue power suit making her figure look pretty attractive to any man in the galaxy.

This woman is Samus Aran, one of the renowned bounty hunters of the galaxy. She is the fourth fighter to join the Super Smash Bros. competition, and the first ever woman to join. During the 64 tournament, many of the fighters thought she is a man, mainly for her power suit in the way of her human figure.

However, Princess Peach and Master Hand came to an agreement of adding in her Zero Suit form when the third tournament came around. Many of the fighters definitely saw her as a woman then, but a very attractive one. Hell, even one fighter did happen to begin having a crush on her.

"Pssh! Snake! Coast is clear!" Samus said, whispering.

Coming down the ceiling, is a man, around Samus' age with short hair and a bandana around his head. He wears gray and black military uniform with black boots. This is Solid Snake, the soldier that stops terrorist organizations from launching nuclear weapons around the world. He is the very first fighter of the tournament that isn't in the Nintendo universe.

Snake's first time in the competition was an experience, for sure. With knowing data from all the other fighters, he figured that the Super Smash Bros. competition was surely up in his alley, with all the weapons he has in his disposal, like motion bombs, and grenades. It's too bad that Peach and Master Hand couldn't allow him to use a gun for some reason.

Snake is also the one fighter in the competition who apparently has a crush on Samus. But, he's lucky again to join in the competition, teaming up with Samus as they were given a mission thanks to the Colonel.

"Ahh…that vent was getting stuffy for me." Snake said.

"Okay, so your friend, the colonel, said that trouble is being caused around the Mushroom Kingdom and he detects threats around this secret facility. Our mission is that Pikachu and Pichu is found here being captured by those threats. We must rescue them." Samus explained.

"Yes…I suppose it's been some time since I returned to the competition. Crazy enough to hear the Princess' disappearance as well. Mario just couldn't keep an eye on her every single second, couldn't he?"" Snake retorted.

"Excuse me, soldier. This is a mystery that needs to be solved. I'm no detective, but if we're going to do this, we'll need to search out here and figure out who did this and pair up with the other fighters. Understand?" Samus asked.

"Fine. Now that Pikachu, it's the same Pikachu that we faced during the Brawl tournament, correct?" Snake asked.

"Yes, and that Pikachu also belongs to a young boy from Kanto, Ash Ketchum. Apparently, as of now, Ash is a fan of the competition and roots for his Pikachu in these tournaments. He also has a girlfriend, Misty who lives in Cerulean City who's a gym leader to water type Pokémon."

"That kid better not think weren't not harming his Pikachu for this tournament." Snake said, rubbing his beard.

"Nonsense. Ash has seen the competition for sometime now. He knows what it's about, even though he never met us in person. Remember, I'm the hottest bounty hunter in the galaxy, and you're the slickest soldier in existence. He'll be proud enough to meet us for our heroic nature." Samus said.

"But that Pichu. We never met it, and it's a Pokemon that runs around amok. This is the first time I'm seeing this Pokémon in the competition." Snake said.

"Technically, I faced it during the second tournament with my power suit. That thing always harms itself during battle, and it still harms itself now." Samus said.

"What type of fighter hurts themselves during battle? That seems really ridiculous." Snake said.

"I don't know. This is who Peach invited during the tournament. Is there anymore that your colonel partner knows about as well?" Samus asked.

"Colonel also mentioned one more thing, he also mentions a mysterious Nintendo building around in the kingdom as well." Snake said.

"Wait, what's that?" Samus asked.

"Well, actually, I've already heard it from Otacon. He said it's a video game company, and apparently, we're video game characters ourselves. Though, it seems like I don't belong to Nintendo anyway. A company called Konami."

"Video game characters, really? Is that what I really am? All of my adventures of killing those space pirates to avenge my parents…on a bright TV screen?" Samus asked.

"Seems like it." Snake said.

"Well, no matter what, character or not, our job lies here. Let's get to some searching." Snake said.

"Right." Samus nodded. The two begin walking through the quiet room of the facility. "I also need to find my power suit again like last time during the subspace war. I just hope I don't encounter…him."

"Who?" Snake questioned, confused by Samus' sentence of who she's referring to.

"The space pirate that killed my parents. You know who I'm referring to." Samus said.

"Oh…that him." Snake realizes who Samus is talking about. "I know how much you hate him."

"Come on, let's search around." Samus waves her hand signaling 'let's go.'

Both Samus and Snake open a facility door leading them to another room. Inside, the room is filled with a bunch of enemy soldiers, guarding the area around for intruders.

"Ah. Enemy soldiers, of course. They probably know something about this area." Snake said, as he gets into his codec system and calls the colonel which picks up soon after.

"Snake, what's going on out there?" Colonel asked.

"Colonel, I'm with Samus and we just walked into a room filled with a bunch of soldiers around. What are they doing here? I thought this place was quiet of enemies." Snake explained.

"I thought they were…unless…" Colonel said.

"Unless what?" Snake asked.

"Intel shows me that they're here to secure a robot that's inside of a secret room. Perhaps one of your friends in the competition." Colonel explained.

"R.O.B.? He's secured up in here?" Snake asked.

"Actually, a fellow smasher you haven't met yet. A blue robot from the years of the 21st century. You and Samus must take down those soldiers and make your way through the rooms. The blue robot's name is Mega Man and he'll gather information around the parts of the facility to help you find both Pikachu and Pichu. Don't let your guard down, Snake!"

"Got it." Snake closes out his codec call.

"So, what did your commander say?" Samus asked.

"He said that these people are here to guard another fighter that's around here too, Mega Man. Do you known him in the tournaments while I was away?" Snake asked.

"Actually, yes." Samus responded. "He joined the last tournament and he's a robot from the futuristic place. He takes out other robots that exist in his world and gains their powers to take out an evil scientist named Dr. Wily."

"Interesting. 2 robots in the competition. Well, I'll be glad to meet him and he can help us out." Snake said.

"For now, let's take those enemies out. You know how you can kill them, right?" Samus asked.

"Of course. I've spent years in the military training with a bunch of sneaking tactics. Trust me, this is in the bag." Snake begins to crawl down to the floor in hiding making sure no other enemy soldiers take him out.

Samus watches the soldier making his way to one enemy soldier from behind. "The galatic federation would be very pleased if they hire a soldier like him. He does look handsome enough to join the team." She smiles for a distance.

Snake begins to stand up and, much of a surprise to the enemy soldier, he grabs him to the neck and chokes him to death. An alarm sounds out with the other soldiers noticing Snake.

"It's him! Get him! He just killed one of our units!" One soldier shouted.

🎵 Encounter - Metal Gear Solid (Brawl Remix) 🎵

Snake grabs a few grenades from his pocket and tosses them around the ground up to the soldiers. A few of them made their impacts onto them which causes them to be exploded and dead on the ground.

Snake then continues to grab a few soldiers that were coming right into him and chokes them to death too alongside kicking them out with his feet.

One enemy soldier looks around and notices Samus from above on the higher level of the room. "Guards! He's not alone! There's a woman up there! Attack her!"

"Don't worry! We'll shoot her out of existence!" The guard shouted.

Samus makes a smirking smile on her face as she readies her taser gun and whispers to herself. "Ready or not, men. Get ready to know how it feels to be pummeled by a hot galactic warrior like me."

The guards aim at her with their guns, and within the last second on a swift movement, Samus flips out of the higher level and the guards miss her as they stare in amazement of her movement as she lands safely on the ground with her taser gun intact. "Now, who wants a taste? Because you're mine for defeat!"

The guards grumble in anger and both Samus and Snake ready their weapons at full speed to the rest of the soldiers. "You ready, soldier?" Samus asked.

"It's showtime." Snake answered.

One by one, both Samus and Snake are easily taking out the soldiers with any of their weapons at their disposal. Samus uses her taser gun to stun a soldier that was coming right at her and kicks away that soldier into the wall.

"OW!" The soldier groaned. "Damn, that woman has great kicks, and a fine back of her body…" The soldier then passes out into unconscious mode.

Snake also uses a bunch of his weapons of use too. While stupid enough, some of the soldiers catches his grenades, but by any second, they explode causing them to be injured. Then, Snake also defends himself by continuing to grab the soldiers at their neck and choking them to death, along kicking them in a similar fashion like with Samus.

Then, a glowing aura suddenly appears between the two together. Yellow eyes form in their faces and their voices were given to be deeper. This was the final smash aura that they consumed.

"Ready to finish this, soldier?" Samus asked.

"It's showtime!" Snake tosses a flare grenade at the ground with smoke emerging from it. Samus jumps high up and her Gunship appears. Two crosshairs appear right at the remaining soldiers left on the floor. Seconds later, a bunch of missiles flies into those soldiers along with a large energy shot from Samus being shot straight out of her arm cannon.

From those large impacts, every single soldier remaining is dead, and both Samus and Snake claim victory as Snake uses his codec.

Cue Metal Gear series victory theme

"Otacon, mission accomplished!" Snake said.

"Good job, Snake. Now head into those rooms and find Mega Man. That was some good fighting that you and Samus did." Otacon said.

"Wait! Otacon, do you have any idea where Samus' power suit may be? Is it still in this facility?" Snake asked.

"It should be. Let me check…" Otacon proceeds to do his job for a minute until he warns Snake of something.

"Uh-oh…" Otacon said.

"What is it?" Snake asked.

"Snake, you and Samus are in a big load of trouble later. I'm detecting levels of danger throughout the facility. Three, in fact!" Otacon warned.

"Which are?" Snake asked.

"I can't tell! You and Samus have to be on the lookout for those enemies! Whatever you do, stay safe, Snake!" Otacon shouted.

"Don't worry, Otacon. This mission will be fully accomplished once we get out of here and save Pikachu and Pichu!" Snake said as he closed out the codec conversation.

"So, what did your friend say?" Samus asked.

"He said there's 3 threats around here while we're saving those friends of yours. We have to be careful on our toes for what's next in the facility." Snake answered.

Samus immediately goes into her thoughts with realization of who Snake is talking about. "Oh no…it can't be…him. There's no way…"

"I hope no one from my world is here. Liquid was killed during that mission. There's no way he's coming back alive from that hellish afterlife he's spending." Snake thought.

"Should we move?" Snake asked, looking at the bounty hunter.

"Yes. Let's go." Samus said. The two walk into the next door awaiting for what surprises that could be thrown into them next in hopes of saving Mega Man, Pikachu, and Pichu.

Mushroom Kingdom Outskirts

Outside of Toad Town, both Marth and Lucina are practicing their sword skills in the grassy plains of the kingdom. Both of them dash forward, protecting each other with their swords. Both of them were at that position for a moment until Marth slashes away Lucina with his Falchion.

Pushed away, Lucina lays at the ground and seconds later, Marth holds out his hand to the princess of Ylisse with a charming smile on his face. Lucina grabs his hand as she gets back up on her feet again.

"You're still a sharp swordsman as ever, prince." Lucina said.

"You too as well, princess." Marth said back to her.

Both of them begin to sit down on a bench in front of them to begin a nice conversation between each other.

"You know, it feels good to be back on the scene of the Smash tournaments. I'm surprised enough to see you back here as well, knowing that you have all of my moves." Marth said.

Lucina chuckles at Marth's sentence, which she could easily joke that she stole his moves despite being a descendant of him. "Well, you know, it seems like the princess of this kingdom somewhat enjoys us fighting against each other."

"Maybe the hands, most likely. Master Hand has probably seen our pasts of war together. Me saving my kingdom of Altea, and you saving your kingdom of Ylisse from a doomed future." Marth said.

"Hey, I still took your name and identity just to protect my loved ones." Lucina smirks at the blue-haired swordsman.

"Even to your husband, Robin? How does he feel when you two fight against each other?" Marth asked.

"Oh, please. Robin still loves me whenever we fight against each other. I'm just more amazed by his tactician skills." Lucina responded.

"What about your father as well? Do you think he'll still have a chance to join in?" Marth asked.

"Most likely not. He'll still probably help out with Robin too. I'd be surprised even if Peach invited him too." Lucina sighs, crossing her arms together.

"Hey, maybe the rest of those warriors will join too. I do hope Roy comes back as well. I remember us joining the Melee tournament, though some people just don't have any idea who we were then." Marth said.

"Didn't Peach invite you? Didn't she know who you were?" Lucina asked.

"Hardly. Seems like Master Hand summoned me to join in. I thought it would be a chance to show off my heroic skills to any foreigners." Marth chuckled.

"You know, I bet Peach was attracted by your handsome looks then too as well. All girls love a dashing swordsman in the field." Lucina teased to her descendant.

"Oh, um, not really. I'm pretty sure most of us fighters knew of her romance with Mario. I mean, he's her hero she's fallen in love with, and I already have my lady who's in love with me." Marth said.

"Oh, right, Caeda. How she's doing back home?" Lucina asked.

"Well…to tell you the truth, we've been married for some time now, me and her have been thinking a little lately about another special step to take." Marth said.

"Wait...you don't mean…" Lucina stopped her words, awaiting for Marth to finish what she was about to say.

"Yes…a baby. Me and Caeda decided to become parents ourselves." Marth said.

"Wow. That's incredible. I can't believe you guys are doing this." Lucina gasped.

"Well, we've been in love for a long time now, and the war is over, so we just thought it would be a good time to have a child now." Marth said.

"But, we're in a tournament now. What if she's pregnant? Don't you need to help her out as best she can?" Lucina asked.

"Don't worry. Caeda will come over and have one of our friends warp her to here if she does. I'm not going to let my lady be helpless." Marth said.

"You're always such a gentleman, hero king." Lucina chuckles.

"Who said I'm not?" Marth jokingly asked.

"Alright, well, let's get back to the town. I'm sure there's a lot more complaints from the Toads we can handle." Marth said, standing up from the bench.

Lucina stands up as well, walking beside her descendant. However, those two aren't the only ones in the outskirts of the town.

The blue-haired female wearing a battle uniform with a dagger on her hip makes her appearance again, unknownst to them, being sneaked up behind by her. Her eyes glow red again as she charges up her axe.

"Hey, do you hear something?" Marth asked.

Lucina and Marth both turn their heads around, and at the last second, facing the mysterious person, they both let out a loud shriek from both of their mouths with the scene turning black.

Toad Town

Walking out of the Pokémon Center, Ness and his group of friends walk out to notice Kirby running around after some butterflies.

"Aw, your little pink friend here is so adorable. What's his name again? Carby?" Shelley asked, trying to remember Kirby's name.

"Keeby?" Aqua also took a guess as well.

"Kirby. His name is Kirby." Ness corrected.

"And he's a close friend of ours. Though, I wouldn't be too adored by him every time you met him." Lucas said, walking over to the pink puffball.

"Why so?" Aqua asked.

"Because his adventures were shown of him defeating bigger threats in his universe. Bigger than that foul king, Dedede." Ness said. "The threats were as big as when I faced Giygas with my friends. And let me tell you, he's scary as heck. He was aiming to take over my world within the future times."

"Oh..maybe your enemies aren't as dark like ours back home." Shelley said.

"Who is it?" Lucas asked.

"A mean octopus named DJ Octavio. He stole an important item in our home of Inkopolis, the Great Zapfish, and he did it twice. He waged the war between Inklings and Octarians, and recently, brainwashed Callie of the pop idol duo, The Squid Sisters, to do his dirty work. That octopus is always putting on a terror show for us Inklings." Shelley explained.

"Yeah…that man has the nerve to go after a pop idol that I dream about." Aqua said.

All of the kids look directly at Aqua while he looks back at them, but with an embarrassing blush appearing on his face. "Oh…umm…did I not mention my crush for her…?"

"Uh…not at home you didn't. I can now see why you chose her for that Callie vs. Marie splatfest. I just always thought you like their music." Shelley said, putting a hand on her hip.

"And you don't realize that I listen to many hours of Callie's song, 'Bomb Rush Blush'. IT should definitely be a song playing during the matches!" Aqua retorts back to his orange-haired friend.

"And yet, you absolutely made a blush appear on your face after listening to that song. It should definitely be called, 'Bomb Crush Blush', because you seriously got the hots for her!" Shelley giggled. "What's next, you're going to make a love song for her and ask her to duet with you?"

Aqua closes his eyes and crosses his arms together. "You know what? Make fun of me all you want. Callie's my starshine idol and my love for her will never die!"

"Til she shoots you down." Shelley scoffed.

"Shut up." Aqua blushes again, but also whispers.

"Hey, can we get back to our plan of action here?" Ness asked.

"Oh, right. So, where do we go next?" Aqua asked.

Ness gives Kirby to Shelley as he looks up ahead in his path. "So, as Nurse Joy said, one of the stars is up at the Icy Mountain of the kingdom, Mt. Shiver. And on the way there, the Ice Climbers are making themselves as inhabitants, so they should guide us up to the mountain. I haven't seen them yet in town, but Peach might have invited them already."

"Wait, let me get this straight: You said Ice Climbers, two people named Popo and Nana and they've been in this tournament before?" Aqua asked.

"Yeah, they're two siblings who like to climb on top of mountains together. What about them?" Ness asked.

"Two people. Is that allowed for a Smash tournament? I've never heard of that type of thing for a competition." Shelley responded.

"Well, Peach previously did tell us that she thought of banning them because of illegal teaming when we were preparing for the fourth tournament. However, Master Hand decides for them to take a regular break instead after some people were getting annoyed by them in the Melee and Brawl tournaments with their hammers chaining. But it seems like Master Hand enjoys them so he decided to let them join the Ultimate tournament, much to Peach's dismay." Ness explains with the history of the Ice Climbers' disappearance in the fourth tournament.

"Hey, Ness, remember Red the Pokémon Trainer as well? 3 Pokémon he's using? Do you think that's also a cheating method too?" Lucas asked.

"Well, not really, you've already met him during the Subspace war, didn't you? You know how a Pokémon Trainer works, right? They train their Pokémon for a battle, and you know he's been working hard to train them since the last few years, which is why Master Hand and Peach invited him. Though, from my knowledge of him, I do like to try out how training Pokémon works with this little fella right here." Ness grabs a Poke Ball from out of his backpack and tosses it out like a normal Pokémon Trainer. Outside being released from the Poke Ball is Ness' own Grookey.

"Ah, right, I already forgot, you did grab that Pokémon in the center. Which means…" Aqua said, being interrupted by a Poke Ball sound sending out his Pokémon, a Jigglypuff. "Of course. The pink giant eyeball. This Pokémon has been in Smash, right?"

"Yep! Since the start, alongside Ash's Pikachu. He's another well-known Pokémon Trainer as well." Lucas said.

"How many Pokémon are there in the tournament?" Shelley asked.

"Well, there's also a Pichu, Mewtwo, Lucario, Greninja, and I think Peach might have announced a new special one too." Ness responded, listing all of the Pokémon fighters in the competition.

"That's not all! Poke Balls are items too in the Smash tournaments. Just throw one out and a random Pokémon will show up. Many of them have different effects, but you don't really know what's inside of them, so it's a surprise to many of us in the tournaments." Lucas said.

"Wow. You boys really know a lot of them. I have to visit that world someday." Shelley giggled.

"Okay, getting the Pokémon talk out of the way. Nurse Joy also gave me this as well." Ness takes an item out of his backpack showing a toy version of R.O.B. in his hands.

"A robot? What does it do?" Aqua asked.

"Not just any robot. It's R.O.B.. He's another fellow fighter of ours, and for some reason, is now turned into a toy. Back during the Subspace war, he was the main R.O.B. that was ordered by Tabuu to destroy the entire universe, but R.O.B. himself was disguised and had to make sacrifices to his own kind, which when we took down Tabuu…he is the only R.O.B. left in existence." Ness explained.

"Oh, that's sad. R.O.B. doesn't seem like a bad person at all. Wait! What does he stand for?" Aqua asked.

"Hmm…let me see." Ness takes a gander at the robot to find the true name of R.O.B.. "Oh, here it is. It says 'Robotic Operating Buddy.'" Ness then finds a red logo on R.O.B. as well catching his eyes. "Wait!"

"What is it?" Shelley asked.

"Guys, take a look at this!" Ness shows the toy robot to the other kids. "I never realized it before! You see the red text on him? It says 'Nintendo'!"

"Oh my gosh, I see it too! Wait, what's Nintendo?" Aqua asks in confusion.

"Guys, Nurse Joy was telling us about a video game company and she was telling us that our adventures are all video games by themselves! We might actually be video game characters! R.O.B. was probably a toy that Nintendo has produced for something, but I'm not really sure what."

"Hold on, are you sure we're really video game characters? Is R.O.B. really one of them? What world does he come from, by any means?" Aqua asked.

"Hmm…it could be reality. Like I said, he's probably a real-life toy that Nintendo produced, but I'm not really sure what he's used for. I guess for the way he acts in battle with his laser beams and spinning arms." Ness said, taking some inspection on the toy robot. "But Nurse Joy did say he'll come alive when the time for him will truly come. So let's keep passing onwards and see what happens. Just note, we have a lot of people in our team now: me, Lucas, Aqua, Shelley, Kirby, and our new Pokémon here. This is definitely bigger than the adventure I had with Paula, Poo, and Jeff!

"Yeah, you just rounded up a team full of children. Is there really any way we can do this all together?" Aqua sarcastically asked.

"Oh, come on, Aqua! We've taken down DJ Octavio, and those kids defeated bigger threats in their universe as well. Whoever kidnapped Peach, we need to stand up to them! Otherwise, there wouldn't be any reason why Peach invited us to the tournament!" Shelley said.

"Darn it. You're right! We need to save the kingdom! I really want to mess people's faces up with ink!" Aqua shouted.

"Are you guys really that colorful in your world? Do y'all just kill your enemies with paint?" Lucas asked.

"It's more than that. Our paint is our weapons. Us inklings use rollers, splatter guns, chargers, and paintbrushes too, and we use them for our turf war battles." Shelley giggles as she walks towards Lucas.

When Lucas is next to the female inkling, he begins to make a small blush on his face for her. Lucas then begins to speak towards her in response. "You…you know, I could visit there sometime. I may not be an Inkling, but it could be a fun Squid Party to enjoy."

"Yeah, you could visit. I could teach you how to win in Turf Battles, and you can enjoy the concerts by Callie and Marie, or Pearl and Marina. Just don't bring Aqua with you, I'm sure he'll definitely go very lovestruck over Callie when he sees her now that I know of his secret crush for her." Shelley whispers to Lucas while also giggling.

"Hey! Inklings aren't deaf, you know!" Aqua then closes his eyes and puts his hands on his hips. "Hell, I could even shut up about my secret crush on Marina as well!"

Shelley's eyes become a little shocked at what she hears from her fellow Inkling friend. "Wait...what did you just say?"

Aqua then opens his eyes in shock at the realization at what he said, then forms another blush on his face. "Oh…umm…I definitely didn't say that….I don't fantasize about Marina every single day just like Callie…"

"Aqua…" Shelley has her arms crossed together while raising her voice a bit high to get her friend to confess.

"Fine! I have a crush on Marina too! Happy now?!" Aqua grumbled.

"Good. Now let's just move on. Ness, you lead the way outside of the town." Shelley said, as she stands next to Lucas.

"Alright. First stop, Mushroom Forest!" Ness said, leading the way for his new friends while Lucas holds down Kirby into the ground again allowing him to walk and follow the group as they head to the first stop of their adventure.

Casino Palace

Captain Falcon, Rosalina, Palutena, and Bowser Jr. all run out of the garage and into town to find out many of the citizens are shouting and running away from some enemies appearing out of the ground.

"Everyone, run!"

"Save yourselves!"

"The world is in danger!"

The group surveys around and notices the enemies appearing out of the ground. Only Falcon and Palutena recognize those enemies: Primids.

"I knew it. The Subspace Army is back again." Palutena said.

"You know those things?" Captain Falcon asked.

"Falcon, you don't remember how I was involved during the Subspace war, didn't you? I assisted Pit to travel across that Subspace land and team up with Mario and the others to take down Tabuu. I just never joined the tournaments until after the Subspace war ended." Palutena remarks.

"Ah, right. You were a part of that angel kid's final smash. Those centurians were really annoying the hell around the place." Captain Falcon rubs at the back of his helmet.

"Okay, enough about that. Can we just take down those creeps already?! I want to get back to my daddy!" Bowser Jr. whines.

"Junior's right. Let's take down those things." Rosalina said.

"Wait! Hold on! Rosalina, Bowser Jr., those aren't regular Primids. Just look at them, they have swords, lasers, and breathing fire. We need to be careful around them."

"The goddess is right. They may not be the only things around here, but let's take some precaution and fight to our best." Captain Falcon added.

"Okay, let's go everyone. And…FIGHT!" Palutena shouted, as everyone charged forward to the army of Primids in their way.

Captain Falcon begins by knee kicking a few of the sword Primids and taunts them to show them their moves.

A Scope Primid walks forward to Palutena and the green-haired goddess prepares to use her reflector to attack back to the Primid. The Primid shoots an energy ball at Palutena and she reflects at the right time back to it, effectively killing it.

Rosalina has Polari protecting her at all costs from any attacks. A line of sword Primids appear in front of the duo and the two nod at each other for their attack. Rosalina uses her wand to charge up Polari's power and at full charge, Polari dashes forward to the line of Primids, also killing them easily in the process.

Bowser Jr. rides fast down the street with the other fighters witnessing his driving skills on his clown car. Up ahead, a bunch of Primids (Fire, Sword, Lasers) are coming down his way, however, Bowser Jr. keeps a evil smiling grin on his face and takes full speed ahead on his vehicle straight to the enemies, and like a bowling ball, drives way past all of the Primids in his way, killing them in the process.

"HA HA HA HA! OH, I love this! When this is over, I'm so going to take down Mario like this!" Bowser Jr. laughs loudly in his enjoyment.

"Junior is still very maniacal just like his father. How can a kid like him be so devious?" Captain Falcon asked.

"I know Junior very well. Bowser taught him well of how it is to be a Koopa. Even aided his father to try and take over the galaxies with Peach by his side, so it makes sense why he joined this competition in the last tournament. Heck, Master Hand also saw the terrors he has done in the Mushroom Kingdom, and despite how much Peach hates him, they invited him anyway." Rosalina explained.

"Guys! He just cleared up the path, let's go!" Palutena said, moving forward down the street.

"Right!" Captain Falcon and Rosalina agreed in unison.

The group runs to the next area of town in search of enemies. "Looks like we wiped them out all. Your home should be safe, Falcon." Rosalina said.

"No wait. Seems like there's something else around here…" Palutena takes a closer look around in their surroundings. "But I don't see the threat anywhere—"

Palutena gets interrupted by a large energy shot coming to Bowser Jr. who wasn't paying attention as the shot hits him as he gives a yelp of scream. The three witness him being launched from a few feet away and then look back in front of them.

A group of mysterious people appear on top of a building, behind an alleyway, and hiding out in a sewer. These people are very odd-looking, but all three of them wear dark clothing, along with belts that say "Mii" on them. The trio consists of 2 males, one female.

One of the males is not equipped with anything, just his fists. He also sports brown hair and black eyes. The other male has dark red hair with brown eyes and equips a sword on his hand, looking similar to Link's Master Sword. Finally, a green haired woman with black eyes while wearing glasses is equipped with energy cannons, similar to the ones that Samus uses. They all walk forward to the group.

"Wait? Miis? But they're not the same Miis we've faced previously, they look different around." Palutena said, inspecting the dark team of Miis.

"Of course not! We may be the Mii Brawler, Swordfighter, and Gunner, but not the same ones you've faced before. We're an elite trio of the Dark Mii Force organization, to take out those affiliated with the light, and to take over as many universes as possible, which our master provides for us to do!" The Mii Brawler said.

"And who is your master?" Rosalina asked.

"Yeah, and why did you take out Junior? He's on the dark side!" Captain Falcon shouted.

"If you don't talk, we can take you out by force!" Palutena said, readying her staff.

The female Mii Gunner chuckles at the questions being answered by the dark team of Miis. "If you really must know, my name is Cassandra, the Mii Gunner who will shoot and blast you away to Heaven!"

The Mii Brawler introduces himself next. "My name is Duncan, a Mii Brawler who can punch better than the average boxer sweating in a gym!"

"And my name is Saxon, the master Mii Swordsman who can use the cutting blade better than the average Swordsman hero to save a princess!" The Mii Swordfighter twirls his sword around and catches in time in elegance and style.

"And we know all about the four of you, Super Smash Brothers. Goddess of Light, Palutena. Motherly Princess of the Cosmos, Princess Rosalina. Supersonic Racer of the F-Zero Grand Prix, Captain Falcon. And Future King of the Koopas, Bowser Jr."

Everyone gasps at the description that the dark Mii Fighters gave to the four. That was surprisingly accurate. "But…But how did you know us?" Palutena asked.

"Our creator told us about you, and he knows you all very well too." Duncan responded.

"And he has very big plans for the Ultimate tournament. You may have not met him yet, but soon you will, and if you don't get back to the Mushroom Kingdom soon, you can say goodbye to that hero Mario and his friends!" Saxon chuckled evilly.

Rosalina's eyes snap open once she hears that name. "Mario…Oh, I hope everything's alright with you. I have to get all of us back to the kingdom. I don't want anything happening to him…"

"You or whoever your creator is, you're not getting away to ruin our tournament especially with all of you involving the princess' disappearance!" Captain Falcon said.

"What are you going to do? Punch us to the next dimension, Falcon?" Cassandra chuckled. "We're elite members of a group. We're super skilled, you can't match us for defeat! We'll kill you and your days of being a famed racer will be over! In fact, why don't we take care of this matter now? I'm sure our master will be pleased to see y'all in defeat!" The female Mii Gunner prepares to use her arm cannon.

"Uh, space princess, this definitely is the best time now to use your wand to warp us away!" Captain Falcon said.

"Hold on…wait! I think it's starting to glow, everyone! Hang on!" Rosalina said, trying to work her wand together. "Wait, where's Palutena?" The cosmic princess turns around and sees the goddess hurrying over to Bowser Jr. "Palutena, what are you doing? We're about to depart!"

"I need to make sure he's okay!" Palutena tries to wake up the Koopa Kid. "Junior, wake up. Please, we need your help!"

Bowser Jr. begins to regain a bit of consciousness, but only for a few words that can be said. "Please…please tell my father…he's the greatest…" Then he loses consciousness again.

"Junior! No!" Palutena shouted.

"Palutena! Just take him! We'll find a way to wake him up! Now come on!" Rosalina shouted, as her wand continued to glow more intensely.

Palutena carries Bowser Jr. out of his clown car and scurries over to the group. "Hold on, everyone! I don't know what's next, but brace yourselves!"

Cassandra charges her arm cannon as an energy ball is being formed. She whispers softly to the four, "Goodbye, Super Smash Brothers." She chuckles evilly.

"NOW!" Rosalina's wand sends the four out in an instant flash at the same time Cassandra lets loose of her energy shot. However, that shot didn't make an impact at them as they all left at the last second.

"Dammit!" Cassandra shouted. "They got away. They're lucky this time, but they won't be the next time we encounter them…"

Then, Cassandra's wrist communicator beeps. She turns on the call with a deep, dark voice being heard. "Cassandra, have you encountered any fighters?"

"Yes, sir. I've found a few to your liking: Captain Falcon, Palutena, Rosalina, and Bowser Jr." Cassandra responded.

"Excellent. Maybe not as good compared to that spiky haired swordsman, but these would be excellent people to capture." The voice chuckled.

"Yes, but unfortunately…they escaped." Cassandra said.

"Escaped? How?!" The voice asked, in anger.

"Rosalina's wand. They all vanished quickly before I was able to kill them." Cassandra responded.

"Kill them? Cassandra, I want them captured! I already have the princess captured in my presence, and I definitely want the Mario Bros. in this too! I want every fighter in the competition to know my presence and know that I'll take over any video game world in existence, you hear me?!"

"Yes, sir. I won't let you down." Cassandra said, solemnly.

"I hope not. I created you three for a reason! Now, get going! Follow those four! I definitely need to capture the space princess and goddess for my needs!" Afterwards, the call ended.

"You four won't get away that easily…I'll take you all down if it's the last thing I'll do. Boys, let's go. We're following those four. They can probably lead us to the Mushroom Kingdom." Cassandra taps a few buttons on her wrist communicator and a portal opens up in front of them. "I just entered the next world they'll end up in."

"How do you know where they'll go?" Saxon asked.

"Oh, please. I'm the brain of the group. I can be trusted to know where they'll be. Now, follow me, or the boss will have your heads off!" Cassandra shouted.

"Yes, mam!" Both male Miis said in unison. All three of them jump into the portal leading them into the next video game world.

Cave

Both Link and Zelda are in their preparation pose, waiting for the battle against Mewtwo to start. Both Link and Zelda look at each other, with both of their hearts feeling connected with one another. They give each other a nod with an agreement sound made.

"What are you two waiting for? Fight me already!" Mewtwo said, angrily crossing his arms.

Link begins the fight by charging forward, jumping high up and slashes his sword right at Mewtwo.

The psychic Pokemon sees this and to his advantage, uses Teleport away from Link's attack. The Hyrule hero misses touching the ground with his sword with a grunt.

Mewtwo then reappears, showing up next to Zelda. The princess of Hyrule uses Din's Fire to shoot fire magic at Mewtwo, but he insteads uses Confusion to reflect the magic back at her, which she notices and uses her reflecting move, Nayru's Love.

Mewtwo teleports away from it, with Zelda's attack being missed. The Psychic Pokemon then shows up again, giving himself a smirkish laugh. "You have the same moves the other Zelda has, don't you? You're still quite a formidable princess foe to face."

"Why, thank you." Zelda said.

"But your tricks shall end here! You and your heroic boyfriend! Now face against my psychic tricks!" Mewtwo dashes forward to Link, and before he could do another attack, Mewtwo uses Disable, causing Link to be confused for a few moments.

"LINK!" Zelda shouted. The princess of Hyrule teleports straight to Mewtwo, and quickly enough, Zelda grabs Mewtwo on the neck and whispers to him. "My turn, creature. You'll pay for hurting my fiancee."

She throws the Psychic Pokemon upward, and she teleports upward where Mewtwo is falling down. As he's falling down, Zelda instantly reappears at his location in the air and damages him greatly, sending him to the ground.

Zelda lands down softly, looking behind eyeing her future husband. "Link…don't worry, I'll fight for you. I love you." She walks over to him and gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"Alright, Mewtwo. If you have any further purposes for defeating us, you're gonna have to defeat me first! I'll take you on, 1 on 1." Zelda said.

"Hmph. Fine by me. You've seem to be more skillful as a fighter than with Peach. Hell, your heroic boyfriend is even a weakling himself too. He's stunned under my control!" Mewtwo said, closing his eyes and crossing his arms together.

"You better be joking. Link is my hero, and I love him so much. He's done a lot to save Hyrule from darkness. Every bit of his heroicness is how I even fell in love with him in the first place! We're getting married during the tournament, so you better back off your words, mister! I'm the princess of Hyrule, and that's that!" Zelda said, raising her voice, setting her hands on her hips.

"Heh. Love. That's really weak. And I can kill that pitiful love between the two of you once I finish this fight off! Here's my next serve, princess!" Mewtwo shouted, running forwards to Zelda, and grabbed her to the neck, in the same way that she did it to Mewtwo, but also using his telepathy powers.

Zelda begins to groan, trying to release herself from Mewtwo's clutches, with her legs beginning to stretch. "Feels very uncomfortable, doesn't it? Now you know how I felt by your attacks. You're certainly a wise princess to fight against. But now I shall end your lives and your land of Hyrule will be fallen without a hero and a princess.

Mewtwo then tosses Zelda around with his psychic powers and throws her at the ground next to Link, severely injuring her. Link is also out of his confusion mode, back to normal, and notices Zelda lying right beside him. Gasping at the sight of his injured princess, Link shouted, "ZELDA!"

Zelda groans and begins to utter some words to Link. "Ughhh…Link. If this is the end…"

"No! Zelda, baby, please, get up! I still have my weapons! Our fight doesn't end here! Come one!" Link pleaded to his girlfriend.

"Sorry…Link…my powers won't come through now…" Zelda groaned.

Mewtwo walks closer to the two of them, chuckling in an evil manner. "Looks like both of you cannot continue this fight. Well, time for me to end both of your lives and bring Hyrule down to hell." The psychic Pokemon creates a Shadow Ball, a ball of dark psychic energy being created from his hands, Mewtwo charges it up fully, potentially ending the lives of the Hyrule couple.

The ball is created at the fullest, and Mewtwo was about to send it to the two, when…

*CRUMBLE*

"Huh?" Mewtwo stopped for a moment.

*CRUMBLE*

Mewtwo turns his head around, looking for the source of the loud, crumbling noise. Link and Zelda stare in wonder.

*CRUMBLE*

It gets louder, pieces of the ground fall into place, seconds later….a hole was created. The hole reveals the shining bright sunlight running through the part of the cave. A moment later, a figure appears, and a very weird figure, to say. It's a very blocky green figure with 4 blocky legs, and a horrendous looking face.

The figure drops down into the cave. It walks over to Mewtwo without saying a single word at all.

"What the?! Who are you?" Mewtwo asked.

The figure continues to say nothing.

"Answer me again! Who are you? Whatever you are, prepare to face my deadly psychic attacks!" Mewtwo said.

The figure still continues to not say a word to Mewtwo. A moment later, the figure begins to glow up multiple times, much to the surprise of Mewtwo.

"What the?! What are you…"

A few seconds later, the figure glows up and blows up into pieces with Mewtwo getting caught in the explosion, and is flown away from both Link and Zelda, who are safe from the explosion.

Mewtwo screams in agony during his flight.

"Woah. What just happened?" Link asked. The Hyrule Hero looks over to his fiancee. "Zelda! Zelda! Damn it! Zelda, if you're really gone…" Link begins to swell up with tears from his eyes. "I just lost the one girl who I loved all of my life and protected, and I was about to marry her. She was going to be the Queen of Hyrule. What will the kingdom think of her dead?" Link begins dropping tears from his face, crying sadly seeing Zelda.

Then, unknownst to Link, another figure appears, and this figure appears in the same shape as the green figure from earlier. This time, a blocky shaped man, with black hair, and brown face with a beard wearing a light blue shirt and blue pants.

He looks down seeing Link crying over Zelda. The figure steps down into the cave and walks over to him. He gives him a pat on the back.

"Huh?" Link said, turning around to notice the figure. "Who…who are you?"

The figure also says nothing in response. A moment later, he holds out an item for Link to hold onto. This particular item is a jar with red pixelated liquid on the inside.

"What's this?" Link asked.

The figure raises his blocky hand over to Zelda, which Link follows with. "Wait, so you want me to feed Zelda with this?"

The figure still says nothing, but nods in response to Link's question.

"Okay, then, if you say so…" Link proceeds to open the bottle, and opens Zelda's mouth. He dumps the red liquid into her mouth.

After the unconscious princess tastes all of the liquid Link gave to her, the Hyrule hero hopes for the best, with his heart pounding. "Oh, please…please wake up."

It took a few moments, but after some tension from Link, a little sound can be heard from Zelda's mouth. A small coughing noise, which Link's ears were picking up.

"Zelda…"

The princess' coughs become louder, definitely more audible enough for Link to hear. Link's own excitement raised up, seeing the princess waking up from her unconscious mode.

"ZELDA! OH, ZELDA!" Link shouted, quickly hugging the princess in happiness.

Zelda was taken back by Link's surprise hug, but nonetheless, giggles by the action. "LInk…" She then asks him, while feeling disgusted by the taste, "Oh, oh my Hyrule! What the hell was that drink?!"

"It's okay, princess. It's okay. You're awake now." Link comforts his fiancee. "Mewtwo is gone, and I revived you with a special potion."

"What type of potion?" Zelda asked. Then the figure walks over to the two of them, with Zelda having a shocked reaction on her face. "AHHH! Who are you?!"

Link quickly reassures her as he calms her down. "Shh…Zelda, it's okay. He's the one who gave the potion. He helped me out, apparently."

Zelda stares at the blocky figure who's giving her a blank stare in return. "He…he…he has a weird expression on his face. Who is he?"

Link stands up, and holds out his hand for Zelda to touch, which she gladly does. Both of them stand up to face the blocky figure. "So, who are you?"

The blocky figure continues to still not say a single thing, but instead takes out a piece of paper and a pencil to write down his response. When he was done, he gives the note to Link and Zelda.

Both Link and Zelda read what the figure wrote down. "Steve." That's all that was written into the note.

"So, your name is Steve? That's it?" Link asked.

The figure nods in response, confirming his name is indeed Steve.

"Okay, well, Steve, my name is Link, Hero of Hyrule, and this is my soon-to-be-wife, Princess Zelda, also from Hyrule. Where are you from, Steve?" Link asked.

Steve takes out another piece of paper and jots down his response and gives that piece of paper to Link and Zelda.

"Minecraft World." Link reads the paper. "That's it? Minecraft World doesn't sound very fancy enough."

"What even is that place anyways? Does that place have a princess too?" Zelda asked.

Steve horizontally nods his head, saying 'no' in silence to the Hyrule inhabitants. Steve then proceeds to take out a diamond axe, and digs through a wall of dirt. He then summons a crafting table as well, and makes a wooden sword.

"Wait a minute…Link, I think I know what he's doing. He's mining, and that's a crafting table." Zelda witnesses Steve's crafting skills. "Mine…Craft. I get it now. Link, he's from a world where he mines out in adventure and crafts things for himself!"

"Oh, wow. I'm guessing he can make weapons like the ones I have? He's holding a wooden sword, even though my Master Sword is made out of silver." Link said.

"Well, it's possible he can make silver too." Zelda turns around to Steve. "I've never seen such fine material for a pickaxe like that. Let me guess, is it made out of diamonds?"

Steve nods a yes to the princess, which she yelps happily in response. "I knew it! Oh my gosh! I wish I could hire crafters like you in my world to make beautiful weapons like that! What else do you have?"

Steve takes out his weapons from his hidden disposal of things, and shows the princess what he's equipped with. Zelda gasps with her eyes widening to see the weapons. "Oh…my…gosh…so…many…weapons."

The following weapons are what Steve has equipped and crafted himself: a wooden shovel, a bow and arrow, a gold axe, and an iron hoe. "Holy Hylia, you definitely have more weapons than what Link is equipped with…"

Then the princess hears a sound of a cough coming from behind her, which is from her lover himself, crossing his arms together, and eyeing her. Zelda stops herself realizing what she's doing, that is, being super impressed by the weapons and armor Steve made for himself. She then walks up to her hero. "Oh, but your weapons are my favorite, my dear Link." She proceeds to kiss Link's cheek while he gives a smile at her.

"So, Steve, we're on a quest to head over to Bowser's castle and confront him. Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom is missing, and we think Bowser's behind the kidnapping! Will you accompany us in confronting him?"

Steve takes a moment to answer, with both Link and Zelda waiting to hear his response. It was only a minute later, Steve nods a yes to the Hylians, and equips himself with his bow and arrow.

"Looks like he's ready. Though him owning a bow and arrow is really ripping off my style, since that's one of my ways of killing enemies. I'd be more surprised at what his daily life is like." Link said, curious of what Steve does normally.

"Well, then, let's go. This cave was so dirty, my dress isn't starting to feel elegant anymore." Zelda said, wiping dirt off of her dress. "So, Steve, do you know a way we can get out?"

Steve proceeds to walk forward to a dirt wall, and sticks some ladder pieces on the wall, which Zelda claps excitedly for. "He crafts ladders too! Oh my gosh! He made ladders in his world too!"

Link sighs. "I hope she doesn't become too romantically interested in him…"

Steve, Link, and Zelda climb their way out of the cave, and back up into the Mushroom Kingdom grounds again. One question is looping around Zelda's head, however, she turns to Link asking, "Hey, I wonder what happened to Mewtwo?"

Link turns over to his fiancee after hearing the question. "Should we be even concerned? Zelda, he almost ended our lives. We should be lucky enough that an interruption happened. Mewtwo is surely a difficult person to fight, but he's the least of our worries for now. Let's just tread on to Bowser's Castle."

Zelda looked back down at the cave again, and thought about the recent fight that just happened. "I wonder what's with Mewtwo…"

Toad Town

Walking through the roads of the town, Sonic, Sky, and Shantae venture through and run to the port where Sky's bird, Wrench, is at.

"Alright, so our mission is to fly to the island, defeat Risky Boots, and save Harmony!" Shantae said.

"Don't forget about those dino creatures! That island is full of them and it's their home!" Sky exclaimed.

"What creatures were they, Sky?" Shantae asks her girlfriend.

"I'm not sure. They look like tiny dinos and there's many colors of them." Sky answered.

Sonic snaps his fingers once he knows what the girls are talking about. "Yoshis! They're called Yoshis!"

Both girlfriends turn their heads over to Sonic. "Wait, you know what they are?" Shantae asked.

"Actually, yes. I fought them before. Yoshis are a race in Mario's world and they eat pretty much a lot of things around. They even eat creatures." Sonic explained.

"Ewwww…" Both Shantae and Sky said in disgust hearing Sonic's explanation. "That's pretty gross…I've seen grosser things in my adventures."

"Like when you encountered Twitch and Vinegar at that island and they were swimming around in—" Sky begins to talk before Shantae interrupts her.

"WE SHOULDN'T TALK ABOUT IT!" Shantae exclaimed in embarrassment, covering the tanned bird trainer's mouth.

"What happened? Two girlfriends fell into a misfortune accident that involves—"

"Grrrr….say another word, hedgehog and you'll be cooked for dinner by my fire powers!" Shantae said, growling at the hedgehog.

"Hey, I'm just trying to lighten up the mood. There's no need for hot-headed genies to set fire in her eyes, or rather, hands." Sonic said, putting his hands on his hips.

"Ugh…I'm already regretting to bring him with us. I'm not understanding why he's in the competition in the first place. He's just a dumbass hedgehog." Shantae groaned.

"Uh, I can hear you and your language. Why are genies like you have to be so foul mouthed?" Sonic asked.

"Babe, listen to me. We need as much we can get to save everyone and this competition. You know we can't let Risky get away with this. Either we have Sonic on our team, or you won't fight. Understand?" Sky sternly talks to her genie girlfriend.

Shantae groans for a moment in defeat and responds to her girlfriend. "FINE!" She then turns over to Sonic. "Hedgehog please and try to take this seriously, okay? Our friend need our help. Can you just be useful for once?"

"Alright, but my wish is that you got to send me and my girlfriend Amy to that world of yours for vacation. I'm sure she'd love to see a genie in her life." Sonic said.

"Girlfriend? You mean she loves how much of a jerkass you are?" Shantae asked.

"Ames is the best girl ever. She loves me being a jokester." Sonic said. "So, what do you say, genie? Do we have a deal?" The blue blur lays his hand in front of Shantae.

Shantae thinks for a moment before she grabs Sonic's hand and shakes it. "Deal. You save my friend, and I'll get you and your girlfriend a vacation."

"Alright!" Sonic said.

"With that settled, are we ready now to fly to the island? Wrench's been feeling ready to fly since we got here." Sky said as she got on Wrench.

"Yes! I'm ret-2-go!" Shantae said as she got on the bird along with Sonic. Wrench begins to flap its wings and hovers off the port as the trio heads high up into the sky.

Once the three are in the sky, they're amazed by the view they're seeing. "Woah, I can see the whole town from here." Shantae said, gasping at the view. "I do miss riding on your bird, babe. It's a fun flight when we were stopping Risky Boots that one time."

"You mean when you got your magic powers back? Yeah, you were pumped up once you became a full genie again." Sky said.

"What happened?" Sonic asked.

"Well, one time, Risky Boots created this evil version of me and soon after, I lost all of my genie powers. I was able to defeat Risky, but I lost my powers throughout the next adventure I went on which was when I teamed up with Risky." Shantae explained.

"Oh…I'm sorry." Sonic apologized. "Who's this Risky person anyway? Is this person just as bad as Dr. Eggman?"

"Well, Risky Boots calls herself Pirate Queen of the Seven Seas. She always wants to take over Scuttle Town and claim the seas herself. Recently, I was invited to a half-genie festival and she captured all of my genie friends too around the island. I wasn't going to let her terrorize my fun once more." Shantae said.

"Wow. Maybe she's just as good as Eggman. Wait! Did you say Half-Genie? Aren't you a full genie?" Sonic asked.

"Well, technically, I am a genie but I'm also half-human as well. You see, my mom is a genie herself while my dad is a human. They both got married and eventually had me as well as their child." Shantae said.

"That's interesting. Wait. Did you say you teamed up with your enemy?" Sonic asked.

"Yes. I teamed up with Risky when her weapons were stolen and her tinkerbats were captured. The pirate master wanted revenge on her so we traveled around Sequin Land to rescue the tinkerbats and defeated him. That's when I was able to get my genie powers back. I did wish that Risky was going to be a good person for once…" Shantae explained to Sonic about her Pirate's Curse adventure.

"Huh. I don't think me and Eggman were to ever team up. He just hates my guts and wants to steal animals." Sonic said.

As Sonic explains his origins to Shantae, Sky begins to enter her mind. "Wow, finally, both of them are having a good chat. Now we can get on friendly terms and try to defeat Risky." Sky focuses on riding the sky until she peers her eyes on something up ahead. "What the?"

Both Shantae and Sonic turn their heads around to Sky and the genie girl asks her, "Uh, babe, is something wrong?"

"Um…we got company…." Sky stops her bird and sees two figures in war clothes with blue helmets on their heads and goggles on their eyes.

"Wait, is that…" Shantae said as the two figures on flying aircrafts got closer.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the puny genie girl and her bird girl! Wait, what is that spiky thing?" One of the girls said.

"Can it! Twitch and Vinegar! What are you doing here? Are you in alliance with Risky?" Shantae said, raising her fists up.

"Actually, we both got a different plan of action of our own." Twitch said.

"You see, we've heard of your invitation to the so-called 'Super Smash Bros.' tournament and so, we decided to enter ourselves as mini-bosses because there's like, no way you can totally beat us up in the sky." Vinegar said.

"Really? I've beaten you before, you know…" Shantae grumbled.

"Yes…but we're setting it Smash Bros. style! Are you ret-2-go, genie?" Twitch asked with a devilish smile on her face.

"You know what? Bring it on. I'd like to see what you vacation losers can do this time. I still can't believe I also helped y'all at that island too with the water." Shantae smirked.

"Uh, that water was the best fun we've ever had. Our skin was glistening like fire! We needed that baby sun glow!" Vinegar giggled.

"Anyways, get ready to have your ass whooped!" Twitch said in laughter, as she prepared a bomb in her hands.

"Hold on. Let me in this battle too." Sonic said standing right beside Shantae.

Both girls laugh at the sight of Sonic. "And what are you supposed to do, make us run with your furry appearance?"

"Sonic, what are you doing?" Shantae asked.

"My name's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog. Not only Shantae is going to make you scream into space, but I'll be speeding through the skies and tossing those bombs right back into those aircrafts that I'm sure my friend Tails built." Sonic said, readying his fists.

"Sonic, those are my enemies, Twitch and Vinegar. I fought them one time when they were preventing me from saving Sequin Land." Shantae whispered.

"Genie girl, come on, you know I'm a hero back in my world. This is a fight we can win. You just haven't seen my super speed skills. I can surely take on two high flying ladies." Sonic said, giving Shantae a thumbs up and a wink on his face.

Shantae gives out a smile on her face as well. Maybe this hedgehog isn't going to be a pain in the ass for her. She could see how heroic Sonic is, just like how she is protecting Scuttle Town. The tanned genie raises her fists up and shouts, "I'm ret-2-go!"

"Good. Prepare to face death along with your furry friend there!" Twitch giggles.

"We'll even take out your birb girlfriend here as well." Vinegar snickers.

"Birb? You mean bird?" Shantae asked, confused by that meaning.

"Uh, no, loser genie. You really don't get us, do you?" Vinegar deadpanned. "Anyways, prepare to be bombed away by our fly-tacular moves!"

Two magic carpets appear behind Wrench which are essentially platforms for both Shantae and Sonic can get on.

Shantae and Sonic vs. Twitch and Vinegar

Ready….GO!

"Shantae, babe, Wrench can also be used as a platform to aim your attacks. Just make sure they don't take him out while I'm still riding us to the island." Sky said.

"Thanks, love. Alright, Sonic, it's time for our first fight! Let's not mess this up, alright?" Shantae said.

"Got it, genie girl. Been waiting for a fight like this one!" Sonic said, gripping his fists up.

"Alright, carpet duo, eat this!" Twitch said, as she threw a bomb at Shantae.

"Not happening!" Shantae uses her hair whip to send the bomb back at Twitch's aircraft.

"OW! That wasn't nice at all…" Twitch grumbled. "Vinegar, get that dumbass hedgehog!"

"Dumbass? How much of a dumbass am I when I can do this?" Sonic said, as he curls up into a ball and targets himself at Vinegar's aircraft.

"Huh?" Vinegar said in confusion as Sonic hits his ball form onto the aircraft and lands back into the carpet.

"OW! You naughty creature! You can't do that to my lovely aircraft!" Vinegar said angrily.

"Yes, I can. That's just one of my properties as a hedgehog." Sonic said.

Vinegar growls at the hedgehog. "Well, let's see if you can eat ammo, bitch!" Vinegar presses the button on her aircraft shooting a bunch of small ammo shooting straight at Sonic.

The hedgehog dodges all of the ammo being shot thanks to his super speed. Vinegar growls in anger more by the hedgehog's skills. "God dammit! I can't shoot at the hedgehog! He's freakin' fast!"

"Lemme try. Hey, hedgehog. Get a load of this!" Twitch said, pressing a button on her aircraft releasing a larger missile from her aircraft aiming right at Sonic.

Shantae gasps at the size of the missile. "Oh…shit. Sonic, watch out!"

"Oh, no worries, genie girl. Watch this!" Sonic said, as he jumps off the carpet and lands on the giant missile. He looks at the two girls and peels his eyelid down at both of them while making a mocking noise. He then jumps on Twitch's aircraft. "Hey, girl, I hope your aircraft has good tunes, because it's about to have an exploding hit!"

Sonic jumps away quickly from Twitch's aircraft and back into the carpet as the military girl looks ahead and sees the missile aimed straight back at her. "Huh? No no no no!" Twitch yells in pain as her aircraft explodes and flies away.

"TWITCH!" Vinegar yells. "You idiotic hedgehog. Nobody does that to my bestie! You will pay! You will all pay!" Vinegar shoots ammo at Shantae as the half-genie jumps over the small bullets.

"Alright, Sonic, that was awesome to take out Twitch with the missile, but watch how I take out Vinegar." Shantae unleashes firepower off her hands and uses her flamethrower power on Vinegar's aircraft.

The fire coming out of Shantae's hands broils Vinegar's aircraft as it starts to become less functional. "AHHH! What the hell are you doing? You're ruining my lovely aircraft!" Vinegar exclaims trying to blow off the fire.

"Any last words? You know, you two have always thorns to me since I ever met you. Always swimming around in that gross water, and now you just love to torment me. Never underestimate the power of a powerful genie with all types of magic. Sayonara, Vinegar!" Shantae shouted.

"No, no, you stupid genie! We were supposed to win this fight! You'll always be the most annoying person ever, you got that?" Just as when Vinegar finishes her sentence, Shantae jumps back into the carpet and watches as Vinegar's aircraft explodes.

*BOOM*

As Vinegar flies away, she yells out one last thing to the duo. "SCREW YOU, PUNY GENIE! THIS ISN'T OVER!"

Victory!

Shantae and Sonic wins!

Both Sonic and Shantae high-five in excitement as they cheer together in celebration after defeating Twitch and Vinegar.

"Wow, genie girl, that was amazing! You really rock with your powers!" Sonic said.

"Back at you with yours. I've never seen someone act so fast before. You're not so bad during combat either." Shantae said.

"Thank you. I appreciate your comment." Sonic said.

Both Shantae and Sonic jump back onto Wrench. "So, how much further, babe?" Shantae asks her girlfriend.

"Not so much longer. We're almost there! I can see the island from here." Sky responded.

"Great! Then we can find Harmony and defeat Risky Boots once and for all!" Shantae said with excitement.

"I'll be right beside you, genie girl. We're in this together!" Sonic said, raising his fists up.

"Thanks, Sonic." Shantae smiles, as she gives the hedgehog a wink.

"Alright, everyone, time for a landing!" Sky said, as she lands her bird safely at Lavalava Island where the trio can continue their adventure of finding their genie friend.

Meanwhile…

Out at sea, two large splashes were made with bits and pieces of airplane armor falling around the ocean. Emerging out of the water, Vinegar growls in anger looking back at the previous fight she and Twitch lost.

"Grrr….that damn genie and that asshole of a hedgehog! I can't believe they destroyed our aircrafts!" Vinegar said in anger.

Twitch rises up to sea and hears her best friend's anger. "UGH! Our clothes aren't even made for this! Now I'm desperate to wear our vacation clothes…"

"I know, bestie. I am too. But we aren't soooooo done yet with that asshole of a genie. We're definitely getting revenge at her!" Vinegar said.

"But what about the hedgehog? He was surely something…still can't believe he destroyed my aircraft like that…" Twitch grumbles.

"Don't worry. Once we get to that island, we're sure to have a plan to deal with that annoyance!" Vinegar snickers. "Now, come on! We shouldn't waste anymore time!"

Both Vinegar and Twitch swim through the sea thinking of a plan for revenge. "Man, I really wish I'm wearing my swimwear right now…" Vinegar grumbles in defeat knowing how their current wear isn't suited for swimming.

Pipeline Central

Mario, Luigi, Red, Leaf, and Pit all sit down at the stands with so many participants waiting for the match to begin.

"Alright, so Daisy is in the waiting room. Once the match begins, she'll be out along with Wario to settle it out in the match." Mario said.

"I do hope she wins….I don't want to lose her…" Luigi said, with concern as he pulled his hat down his face.

"Come on, Luigi, you're not going to lose Daisy. You know she loves you a lot. She'll even want to beat up Wario if she likes. You've been together for many years." Mario reassures his brother while rubbing his back.

"Is he always this whiny? Not even Red can be like that, especially when he loses a Pokémon battle." Leaf asked.

"Hey! You know that I'm a brave person! I'm the champion of Kanto, for Arceus' sake!" Red grumbled, crossing his arms.

"I know, sweetie. I just love teasing you. You'll always be my lovely champion." Leaf giggled, cupping her boyfriend's cheek kissing it. Red blushes by his girlfriend's cheek kiss.

Both Red and Leaf's Poke Ball flashes until both of their Squirtles emerge from the Poke Ball.

"Oh! You want to watch the match?" Red asked.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle happily cheers.

"Alright, just get on our shoulders, but no biting!" Leaf said. "I don't even remember teaching both of you the 'Bite' move."

"And now, ladies and gentlemen…today's Strikers match is about to commence! It's time for the exciting match between two feisty competitors!" The announcer shouted throughout the stadium.

In the waiting room, Daisy looks at herself at the locker mirror and takes a deep breath. "You can do this, Daisy. You have an audience to impress along with your friends to depend on, and…Luigi. Don't worry, Weegee. I'll win this match and we'll save Peach. I love you more than anything else."

The tanned princess stands up to her feet, beginning to put on her serious look. "It's time for this kingdom to show what a princess can do."

"Our first competitor, coming from the far away lands, the desert kingdom of Sarasaland, the aggressive tomboy superstar who can kick anybody's asses, it's Princess Daisy!" The announcer shouted.

Daisy runs out from one side of the stadium with her teammates as she waves hi to the audience. Once she sees Luigi, she gives him a blow kiss from her lips as a sign of good luck. Luigi smiles upon seeing his girlfriend on the field, while hoping that she can win the match.

"Our other competitor, from the bustling city of Diamond Town, he's the nastiest person around, making rich money off his microgames, and the world's best garlic eater, it's Wario!" The announcer shouted.

Wario runs out from his side of the stadium waving to the stadium audience. Mario, Luigi, Red, Leaf, and Pit all either rolled their eyes or just shouted 'BOO' at him.

Both Daisy's and Wario's eyes meet each other on the field as the match is seconds away from the start.

"Just remember, girlie, no foul plays, you got that? You better treat me to a nice game or else I'll—" Wario said before he got interrupted by Daisy.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, just shut up and get this over with. I'm already tired of your guts and your asshole attitude." Daisy said, waving her hand up to Wario's face.

Ready…GO! Match Start!

Daisy vs. Wario (Strikers Match)

🎵 Super Mario Strikers - Pipeline Central 🎵

The match begins with Daisy quickly getting the ball and begins making her way to Wario's goal. Wario is in anger already because of how quick the tomboy is on the field. "Darrgghhh, teammates, get her!"

Daisy's teammates follow the princess as she passes the ball onto her Koopa Troopa teammate. The Koopa Troopa tries to reach the goal, but before making a shot, Wario's Birdo teammate shoves Koopa Troopa and steals the ball from him.

"Hey! That's not fair!" Daisy argued.

"It's a soccer game, girlie. Everything's fair in a match like this." Wario laughs manically.

Daisy grumbles as she runs over to the Birdo along with her teammates. Daisy's Toad teammate was almost close enough to tackle the Birdo, and falls to the ground in failure to catch her. Birdo makes a shot to the goal and the Kritter tries to block it, but misses the ball, giving Wario's team the first point of the match.

Score: (0-1) Wario scores the first point!

"What?! It hasn't been a minute in the match and you already scored?!" Daisy whined.

"Hah hah hah! What's wrong, girlie? Are you going to throw a flower at me?" Wario laughs at her face.

"Grrr…I could do a lot more than just that, asshole. This match isn't over." Daisy said, in annoyance as she walked back to the middle of the field.

"This isn't so good…Wario already got the first point." Luigi said in worry.

"Don't worry, brother. This is just the start of the match, I'm sure Daisy will score a point. You know how good she is at this." Mario said, patting his brother's back.

Red's Squirtle looks at Luigi's concern, but then looks at Wario at the field and puts on his angry face and punches his fists together. The Kanto champion laughs at his water type starter's anger. "I get it, buddy. Don't worry, once we save Peach and begin the tournament, you, Ivysaur, and Charizard can beat up Wario all you want. Just hold your Water Gun. I never liked him all that much either."

Back at the field, both Daisy and Wario along with their teammates begin at the middle of the field preparing the next part of the match. Only 45 seconds have passed in the 10 minute match, so Daisy needs to score a point of her own to even up with Wario.

The whistle sounds off, and the match begins with Daisy kicking the ball again as she leads her team to Wario's goal. The tan princess passes her ball over to her Toad teammate who was quick enough to make it to the goal. He aims to make a shot, but however, Wario's Hammer Bro teammate tackles Toad as he groans in pain.

Daisy sees this as she runs forward with her teammates and dashes to the Hammer Bro who is currently kicking the ball to the goal. Daisy uses her tackle move and tackles at the Hammer Bro who yelps in pain by Daisy's strength.

"How do you like that now, puny?!" Daisy yelled.

Daisy's Koopa Troopa teammate begins kicking the ball and the princess gets up back on her feet again as she runs forward to the goal.

"Hey, Koopa, give it to me! Let me make the shot!" Daisy shouted to the Koopa Troopa.

"Yes, mam!" Koopa Troopa passes the ball to Daisy. Daisy continues to run forward to the goal and every one of Wario's teammates tries to tackle her, but she quickly avoids each one of the incoming tackles.

She makes it enough distance to the goal and begins to make her shot, but a different kind of shot called a Super Strike. She performs her Super Strike called Tornado Strike as she kicks the ball high up in the air and leaps up to it as a orange and yellow halo appears and Daisy begins to make a loud noise as she makes a hard kick to the ball and confuses the Kritter goalkeeper as the ball comes in fast and speeds right into the goal, scoring Daisy's team with her first point.

Daisy scores! (1-1)

Daisy runs around the field in excitement and slides her knees down to the ground as she raises her fist in the air. "YEAH YEAH HELL YEAH! HOT STUFF IS COMING AROUND!"

Wario grumbles in anger seeing how Daisy was able to score a point in the most fierce way possible. Daisy walks over to the fat microgamer and begins to speak to him. "Eat shit now, fatso! Like my hot skills?!"

"Grrrr…consider yourself lucky now, princess. Only about 2 minutes have passed around. This isn't over yet! I'll make you smell my wrath!" Wario grumbled as he walks back to the center of the field.

"I'll make you smell your stinky ass, fatass." Daisy muttered.

Back at the stands, everyone but Luigi cheers on Daisy's first score of the match. "Let's-a-go, Daisy! That was awesome!" Mario cheered.

"Wow, Mario, your friend is really skilled at this sport." Pit said.

"Yeah no matter what the sport is, Daisy always does her best: golfing, tennis, baseball, karting, and even basketball too. She's a true tomboy with our friends." Mario responded.

"What about those party games as well?" Pit asked.

"Yes, those too. Sometimes she ends up as the superstar." Mario chuckled. "Maybe I should tell you this one time where she and Luigi were competitive during a tennis game."

"Wow, whatever your story is, I'm sure it would be similar to the time when me and Leaf had a battle ourselves, and she was close to defeating me in battle." Red laughs.

"Heh heh heh, well, Red, I've trained hard and well enough with my Pokemon to become the Kanto champion, but it seems it cannot be done so." Leaf blushes at her boyfriend.

"I'm sorry babe, you gotta train harder! I know you're just as good as me, but I'm sure you'll win during the tournament." Red said, resting his arm around his girlfriend's back.

"I don't care about being champion now, I just want to continue being your girlfriend as long as ever. I love you so much, Red. You'll always be my favorite Pokemon Trainer." Leaf grabs her boyfriend's vest and kisses him on the lips causing Red to fluster and returns the kiss back.

"Awwww…." Both Mario and Pit said in unison. Both Red and Leaf's romance adores both of them as it reminded Mario of his long romance with Peach. Ever since he saved her from Bowser's castle the first time, he was starting to fall in love with her. Years later after multiple rescues, after the Odyssey adventure, he proposed to her and their wedding would come half a year later, their wedding day came. It was good timing too, since Peach was notified about the next Smash Bros. announcement by Master Hand.

"Hmmm…I wonder if Viridi ever did have a crush on me when we were taking down Hades. She did go soft on me…" Pit wondered.

"Heh, Daisy is already doing good so far, eh, Luigi? Luigi?" Mario takes a look at his brother only to see the green-clad hero lost in thoughts with Daisy.

"Mama mia…" Luigi said.

"Mama mia is right, bro. You're always just thinking about her." Mario groaned. He stretches his brother's ears to snap him out of hypnotizing. "WAKE UP!"

"OW! Oh, what, Mario?!" Luigi yelled.

"You just love her a lot, don't you, brother? You can't stop looking at her, don't you?" Mario putting his hands on his hips.

"I'm sorry, Mario. I'm really glad she scored though. I have high hopes for her. I believe in her." Luigi said.

Mario smiled at his brother's words knowing he also hopes she can defeat Wario in order to find Peach's whereabouts.

The match continues with a bunch of action running around. Both Daisy and Wario keep the score together with intense action. Over the next several minutes, passes were made, along with tackles.

Halfway into the match, both Daisy and Wario received items of their own to use. Wario's green shells spun around the field bumping into teammates which gave Wario the advantage to score. Daisy, on the other hand, gains Bob-Ombs and tosses them to Wario's teammates, scared in fear of blowing up in their range.

Even Daisy's cursing was getting the crowd fired up for the match. It is now the last 30 seconds of the match. The score is now tied between Daisy and Wario as both of them have 10 points each. Tensions are high as both of them are at the center of the field.

"We are at the climax of the match, ladies and gentlemen! Princess Daisy and Wario are tied up for the last 30 seconds of the match! This may come down as one of the best matches in Strikers history! You don't wanna miss this!" The Toad announcer shouted.

"I can't believe it! Daisy's really close to winning this! She's got to beat Wario! There's only seconds left!" Luigi said in excitement.

"If she can make this last shot, she'll win. Wario has to give up the crystal star. It's our key to finding Peach!" Mario said.

"Wow, Mario, these sports are definitely fun to watch, maybe we can see some more sports around here once we find Peach?" Pit asked.

"I don't see why not! Not sure why you didn't ask when you visited the kingdom last time, but we can go for some sports!" Mario responded.

"Oh, hey, didn't you also play sports with Sonic as well?" Pit asked.

"Yep, the Olympic games. First time I met Sonic, and his friends and it was really fun. It was good timing for the first Olympic games because after that, the Brawl tournament happened, and it was a surprise when Sonic appeared when Tabuu was about to hit us again." Mario explained.

"Hmmm….I wonder what's with Sonic now?" Pit wondered.

The group looks back at the field seeing the final part of the match with Daisy and Wario waiting for the whistle to blow. Some seconds later, and the whistle blows off as the timer counts down the final seconds of the match.

Daisy earlier in the match received a special item of her own that she wanted to keep until the right time: a Starman. Wario's Birdo teammate kicks the ball first as she runs to the goal along with her fellow teammates and Wario as Daisy chases after them.

Luigi keeps an eye on his girlfriend, tracking her movements. He's holding to all of his hope of her breaking the tie. "Come on, Daisy. You can do this. I love you."

Daisy's Toad teammate tackles Birdo with the princess running back to her goal. However, Wario breaks out a mushroom and uses it as he gains quicker speed, dashing towards Daisy and tackling her, making her fall to the ground. Only 15 seconds remain left in the match.

"Grrr….that's it. It's time to end this off." Daisy whips out her Starman item and uses it. Her body flashes rainbow colors as she hears the Starman theme. "HERE COMES DAISY!"

Mario, Luigi, Pit, Red, and Leaf all cheer for Daisy as she runs straight towards Wario and knocks him out of the way while taking the ball for herself again as she runs to the goal. As she makes it to the goal, her starman power fades off. 7 seconds remain…

Daisy aims for her shot, uses her Super Strike move, and lets out a powerful grunt as she kicks the ball hard, confusing the goalkeeper and the ball strikes into the goal with the rest of the time drained out as the clock hits zero.

"And that's time! Ladies and gentlemen, with a score of 11-10, making an incredible last second shot and proving her as-always continuing, dashing athletic abilities, Princess Daisy of the Sarasaland Kingdom is the winner of the match!" The Toad announcer shouted.

The entire stadium makes a loud roaring cheer in excitement of Daisy winning the match. Mario, Luigi, Pit, Red, and Leaf all cheer for her winning the match. "Yes! Daisy won! She did it!" Mario said.

"We can get the crystal star now! I knew Daisy could do it!" Luigi said happily.

"Really? I thought for the whole time you were concerned about her." Leaf said, putting her hands on her hips.

"Eh, whatever. Let's get the star now!" Pit said.

10 minutes later…

The stadium has a lesser audience now with some people leaving. Mario, Luigi, Pit, Red, and Leaf all walk down the field to meet up with Daisy and Wario.

"Daisy!" Luigi called out.

"Oh, Weegee!" Daisy runs over to her boyfriend and hugs him along with a peck on the cheek. "I won the match!"

"I'm so glad you won, babe! I knew you could do it!" Luigi said, with a blush on his face.

"Awww…thanks, sweetie!" Daisy winked at her boyfriend.

"Grrr…dammit, princess! You're damn lucky you've won! You're just as good as myself!" Wario growled. "I can't believe you did a dirty trick on me with that starman!"

"So, are you gonna give us the star now?" Pit asked, making a serious glance at Wario.

Wario stares at the heroes for a moment, each one giving a serious look on their faces. He speaks up after a moment. "Alright, fine! You can have your stupid star!" He checks into his clothing and takes out the red crystal star.

Mario grabs the star and now the group of heroes gain their first star of the adventure. "Yes! We got it! We got the first star!" Luigi cheered.

"Now, if we're done with business, must I go back to my own home now? I think it's time I'm done with your stupid asses before the tournament begins!" Wario grumbled.

"Yes, just leave. You only got a good time to rest until our Pokemon spray, char, and claw your face." Leaf said, holding onto her Pokeball.

"Squirtle Squirt!" Squirtle added, pumping his fists together.

"Whatever. See ya, losers." Wario said, waving his hand off to the group as he exits the stadium.

"Ironic. He's the sore loser after Daisy defeated him." Leaf sighed.

"Hey, at least now we have the first star! We just have to find more so that it can help us find Peach!" Mario said.

"Alright! Say, should we go back to the kingdom? Maybe we can figure out our next stop." Pit asked.

"Good idea. Red and Leaf, shall we go?" Mario asked.

"Yes, let's go." Red said as he tossed out his Charizard's Pokeball. "Charizard, come on out!"

Leaf also does the same with her Pokeball. "You too, Charizard!"

Both Charizards come out into the field growling at their trainers. "Hey, Luigi, are you coming?" Mario asked his brother.

"Yeah, just a moment, guys. I'll be out at the front." Luigi responded.

"Okay, but hurry up. We still have to find the princess." Mario said.

All but Luigi walked out of the field as Luigi thought to himself for a moment. 'You did it, Daisy. This is why I love you so much. You're my tough girl and I'll always love you. Just once we find Peach and when the tournament begins, I'll propose to you." The green-clad hero closes his eyes and chuckles to himself as he walks out of the field until he bumps into someone.

Luigi opens his eyes and notices the same tall, gray-haired man with black clothing and a long sword appearing in front of him with a menacing smile on his face.

"MAMA—-"

The next thing that happens, everything turns to black from Luigi's point of view.

Flashback (4 years ago)

Peach Dome Grass Court

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Today is another exciting day for all tennis fans! Our first match of the Star Cup tournament is the matchup of the flower couple of the Mushroom Kingdom, our green hero Luigi, and his princess girlfriend of the Sarasaland Kingdom, Princess Daisy!"

The stadium audience cheers in excitement as both Luigi and Daisy walk out to each side of the court with a tennis racket in their hands.

Daisy eyes her boyfriend as she looks ready to play. "Hey babe! Listen, even though I want to win this tournament, just know that my shots are power perfect to play. Oh, and that I love you too, sweetie!"

Luigi gulps as he's afraid for a bit, but then puts a serious look on his face to concentrate.

The game begins as Luigi smacks the ball down the ground and shoots the ball with his racket sending it over to Daisy's side. Daisy runs over and hits the ball with her racket sending it back to Luigi's side of the court, however, the shot was a bit powerful as it bounces farther from Luigi as he tries to run to it, but it was too late as the score points first go to Daisy.

0 - 15 love!

Luigi grabs the ball and begins to smack it with his racket, sending it over to Daisy's side. Daisy smacks the ball back to Luigi as this time the green hero was able to catch the ball with his racket and sends it over to Daisy's side. Daisy returns the ball once more back to Luigi's side as he smacks it back, but instead uses his special, Squeaky Mallet, as his racket turns into a giant mallet and hits it back to Daisy's side.

However, Daisy was surprised to see her boyfriend using his special and was distracted for a bit until the ball sped past her causing Luigi to score points himself.

15 - 15!

"Damn, babe. I didn't think you were gonna do that." Daisy giggled.

"Never underestimate your boyfriend." Luigi chuckles.

And the match continues to be back and forth smacking between Luigi and Daisy's sides of the court. To her surprise, Daisy notices the score being tied up with her boyfriend. She did happen to notice how many times Luigi also used his special against her.

It was also surprising to her how Luigi won a set against her, though she also won a set as well. The last set is currently happening as well to the couple as they try to give it their best to see who advances to the next part of the tournament.

Current score: 40 - Adv!

The final part of the match begins as Daisy, this time, holds the ball in her hand, then tosses it and smacks it with her racket, sending it to Luigi's side. Luigi runs over to the ball and smacks it with the tennis racket to send it back to Daisy's side. However, little to Luigi, he was only hoping his girlfriend wouldn't use her special move on the last set. Well, she did use it once earlier in the set, but he's hoping now it's not going to happen.

Daisy's mouth turns into an eager smile as she prepares to use her special again. "It's been a good match, babe, but it's time to become the tennis superstar!" Daisy uses her Wonder Flower special move as her racket turns into flower petals and spins around. The tomboy princess lets out a powerful grunt and smacks the ball hard with her racket, landing a topspin to Luigi's side, dashing by him and scoring Daisy the win of the match.

Game, Set, and Match! Daisy wins!

"Ladies and gentlemen! This tennis match has concluded! Our winner for the first match of Round 1 is Princess Daisy!" The Toad announcer cheers loudly.

The stadium audience claps for Daisy's victory as she advances to the next part of the Star tournament. Some minutes later, she and Luigi meet up at the locker room while the next match is underway.

"Hey." Luigi said, waving to his girlfriend.

"Hey." Daisy says back, while putting a sweet smile on her face.

"You…you did great today." Luigi sighs, as he sits down at a bench.

"Thanks. You know, you did great too. I'm surprised you were even at my skill level for this sport. I thought I would be able to beat you easily." Daisy said, as she sits down next to her boyfriend.

"I mean, I knew when this tournament started, I figured I would go up against you and I probably have a hard time to beat you, so I trained as best as I could for practice in order to beat you." Luigi said. "Guess that wasn't enough."

"Oh, babe. Why did this have to be such a big deal? Why did you want to beat me all of a sudden? This was meant for fun, not who's better." Daisy asked.

"Well, I love you and well, I felt tired for how many times you always beat me, so I just wanted to make a few wins against you. I just wanted for you to see how incredible I can be at these sports." Luigi explained.

"Weegee, what are you talking about? You're always great at sports." Daisy said.

"Huh?" Luigi said in confusion as he looked over to his girlfriend.

"I've seen you at golf games, and other tennis games too. You're an excellent player, and I don't think you're a bad sports person. You'll always be a great sports player to me." Daisy said.

"You mean it?" Luigi asked.

"Always." Daisy cups her boyfriend's cheek and kisses him on the lips, causing Luigi to blush furiously. "I love you, babe."

'I…I…I love you too." Luigi said, timidly.

"So, what do you say we watch the next few matches here on the screen until I get to my next match? I'm going up against Wario next." Daisy said.

"Oh, I know you can beat him! I'm sure you can be the Tennis Superstar of the tournament!" Luigi said, excitably.

"Thanks, babe." Daisy giggles.

Both Luigi and Daisy spend time in the locker room alone together, continuing to watch the next few matches of the tournament on the TV screen before it was Daisy's turn to play again. Daisy and Luigi hold hands together, with Luigi knowing that his girlfriend is awesome at any kind of sport she participates in and that's one of her qualities that he loves her for. He was so glad to even compete with her too.
