As the ceremony starts, everyone rises as Jill arrives. Clive was breathless as he stared at his beloved. Jill walks down the aisle, wearing her wedding dress. Even now, Clive struggles to accept the reality, he was marrying his beloved childhood friend who stood by his side for as long as he can remember.

She stood by his side ever since he nearly lost everything. She could've found a more suitable man who can give all that she desires. And yet, she chose to stay by his side. Aiding him to save Joshua from his illness and to help him with his burdens.

He has nothing to give to her in return except his own heart. And to her, that's all she ever wanted.

As the priest started speaking, Cloud looked at Tifa who was sitting on the opposite end of the church. Cloud and Clive's conversation was still lingering in his mind as he came to realize how much he cares deeply for Tifa. How deeply he wants to be worthy to be by her side. The memory of failing to save her still haunts him to this day. How so much blood was spilled; how she was unconscious and did not awake until the next day. How her father blames him for failing to protect her and for being worthless. That's why he's planning to join the military. So he can be strong; strong enough to protect her; to save her… to be worthy enough to be by her side.

Meanwhile, Tifa was contemplating the conversation she had with Jill earlier. She wants to support Cloud to follow his dream, but she wants to be by Cloud's side forever. And no matter what she decides, she will regret it.

As the two thought about their choices, it was time for Clive and Jill vows.

"Jill," Clive spoke first. "For as long as I can remember, you have always been by my side, through thick and thin. You were the light in my life when I was in my darkest moment. To this day I still wonder what I did to deserve someone so truly amazing as you. You were willing to bear my burdens with me when I had nothing to give you. You are my best friend and my soulmate. You shower me with your love and support. Then, you help me learn to love myself when I don't know how… I… I would not be the man I am now if it weren't for you, Jill Warrick. So as we stand here, now, with all of our friends and family, it'd be a privilege and an honor to be your beloved husband, until death do us part and beyond."

Jill smiles as tears flow down her cheeks. She has dreamed of this day since she was young. And now, not only is she finally marrying her precious best friend, but that he truly returns the affection she harbors.

"Clive Rosfield," Jill said. "You don't know how much you mean to me. You were always there for me ever since I lost my parents. And when your family took me in, and you accepted me, I felt loved and as time passed, it became more, oh, so much more. So, when we reunited here in Nibelheim, I knew I wouldn't let you go again."

Jill recalls the time how their mother tossed them all to the streets and took all the money and wealth. She never showed any love to her and Clive, but they never thought Annabelle would abandon Joshua, her "Pride and Joy". Since then, Clive blamed himself for everything and worked to the bones to ensure Joshua's safety. He had so much self-hate in him that it hurts Jill and Joshua to see him like this. Clive gave everything to them yet he still believes that he does not deserve love. But Jill refuses to believe and cups a hand on his scar cheek.

"You say you are unworthy. That is not true, you deserve this and so much more. And I will remind you of this, everyday. You, Clive Rosfield, are my treasure and I wouldn't dare to lose you again."

As they made their speeches, Cloud looked to Tifa and realized a lot of similarity between him and Uncle Clive.

Aren't you scared of messing up?

Everyday… but as soon as I see her, her eyes and her smile, I know I did something right in my life.

Cloud knows now that he needs to make a choice. But, before he does, he needs to make up with Tifa.

Finally, the priest spoke, "Do you, Clive Rosfield, take Jill Warrick to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

Clive smiles as tears flow down his cheeks, "I do, now and forever more."

"And do you, Jill Warrick, take Clive Rosfield to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Jill replied without hesitation, "I do… now and forever more."

As the ceremony comes to a conclusion, Clive and Jill embrace each other as they finalize it with a kiss. Many of the guests clapped and cheered as these two have finally been wedded and are now together.

As Clive and Jill separate, they lean their foreheads together and look towards each other's eyes.

"I love you, Jill," Clive responded.

Jill smiles as continue shedding tears of joy.

"I know," Jill replied. "I love you too."

After the ceremony, came the wedding reception. The party took place at the Shinra mansion that was uphill from Nibelheim. After Shinra abandoned it, Byron, Clive and Joshua's uncle, bought the mansion and fixed it up for the wedding. It was like being a fairy tale; the chapels were bright; the musicians playing at the center of the mansion where all dancing occurs. The many people of Nibelheim were invited to the reception since it is a small town where anyone knows everyone.

At the dining hall across from the dancing floor, Clive and Jill are enjoying their food as they watch Joshua struggle to ask Jote to dance with him.

"For a smart lad, he seems to struggle when it comes to Jote," Clive said.

Jill chuckled and nodded.

"Indeed, despite that Jote has been loyal to you both at a young age, you'd think he'd understand right now how she truly felt."

"Yes, though we can say the same thing for us… and for them."

Clive points towards Cloud and Tifa, who are distant towards each other but keep sending glances.

Jill sighs, "Honestly, it's like looking in a mirror."

Clive frowns, "What do you mean?"

"Oh come now, Clive, we both know it took you a long time for you to understand how I felt about you. And we BOTH know it took you longer to understand how YOU felt."

Clive blushes as he recalls how it took him so long to realize his feelings for Jill. But even then, he still felt like he was worthy of her love.

"I bet you that Cloud feels that way right now. Like he doesn't deserve to be by Tifa's side. Never knowing that she only wants him and nothing else."

Clive nodded as he recalled how Tifa looks at Cloud.

It was obvious even for him to know that they have a strong bond.

"I'm certain though, that they will find the words that need to be said. Though, I hope Cloud understands."

"What do you mean?"

Clive told Jill the conversation he had with him.

"I see, so he was planning to follow your footsteps so he can become stronger."

Clive nodded.

Jill sighs, "I swear, sometimes, you can be a terrible example."

"B-but I did try to convince to change his mind… in a way."

Jill rolls her eyes but still smiles. After all, she's the one married to this man. This man who still struggles to understand a maiden's heart.

Meanwhile, Cloud and Tifa struggle to close the gap between as the party continues. Cloud wants to come up to her and ask for a dance. But he couldn't because of two reasons: First, he still needs to apologize for arguing and make up with her; and Second, he doesn't know how to dance. He never had a reason to, until now.

As Cloud contemplates, he sees several boys come up to Tifa and ask to dance with her. This angers Cloud, but he knew this was expected. Tifa has always been the prettiest girl in Nibelheim, any boy her age would want a chance to be with her. But it's because of this that Cloud distant himself from her. She was too amazing to be with someone like him and he felt like he was holding her back. But now, he can't bear the thought of seeing Tifa being with someone else.

It'll kill him.

Cloud looks away and sees Clive and Jill laughing and eating together. He was happy that after all this time, his uncle was finally to have a happy life after suffering to lose his father, his home and almost his life. But finally, he was able to save his brother, marry his childhood best friend and be surrounded by all the people that loved him.

"You can try to find the solution your entire life, Cloud. But in the end, you have to follow what you believe is right, through here…"

Cloud placed a fist by his chest where his heart is.

He'll probably make a fool of himself, but he needs to do this.

The choices he makes now will decide what he will do after high school.

He walked up toward Tifa, he noticed that she looked uncomfortable and was denying the boys' requests. He grabs her wrist as she continues denying the boy's requests.

"Sorry, but she's with me right now," Cloud said with a glare at the boys. As the two ran off, Tifa stutters, "C-Cloud?!"

"...Sorry… I… I saw you getting uncomfortable and…"

Cloud struggles to find the words to speak.

"I… I wanted to ask you to dance with me first…"

Tifa blushed as Cloud lets go of her.

"I'm sorry, Tifa… I didn't mean to pull you away… I should go-"

"I'd love to dance with you, Cloud!" Tifa replied, blushing and holding on to his hand.

"B-but… I never learned how to dance. I wanted to but after what happened… I…"

Cloud looks down at his feet, unable to bear seeing Tifa be disappointed in him. But she lifted his face and she was smiling at him.

"I'll teach you."

The two walked towards the dance floor and Tifa began teaching Cloud. He struggled at first and apologized for all the times he stepped on her feet. But Tifa was patient and guided him every step.

"Just focus on me, okay?" Tifa said.

That was something Cloud can do easily. He could stare at Tifa all day.

"Tifa…"

"I miss you," Tifa interrupted. "I missed how we were so close and knew everything about each other. But when you ignored me after I got hurt… that was more painful than anything."

Tifa gripped tightly on Cloud's arms.

"I missed my best friend, who always supported me, listened to my piano lessons, helped me find Maru when she went missing. I missed you, Cloud…"

Tears started falling down on Tifa's cheeks.

"Tifa…"

And suddenly, the music stopped.

As Cloud and Tifa's dance was interrupted, Byron announced that it was time for the groom and bride's dance.

Cloud sulk but accepted it. Despite their emotional moment earlier, this was still Clive and Jill's wedding day. They deserved this after everything.

"Thank you, Cloud, for this dance."

Cloud was starting to panic, he finally got the chance to talk to her but he fears that if he lets her go now, he'll mess up again.

Before she let go, Cloud pulled her closer and whispered in her ears.

"Water tower… midnight, tonight. Okay?"

Tifa gasped as she felt Cloud's breath over her ear. The way his voice came huskily and firm, the way he held on to her tightly, like she was precious to him. But the eyes are what melts her entirely, the way he looks at her as if she was his whole purpose of living; like she was a part of his soul.

She loves him.

She wants to be with him.

But… She can't hold him back on his dreams.

She must be supportive to her best friend. The very same best friend she has fallen in love with. But first, she must apologize to Cloud. Otherwise, she will never forgive herself.

"...Okay…"

As the musicians started playing their song, Clive and Jill began their dance.

While Jill was experienced in dancing, Clive was not. But, this did not bother Jill at all. She knew that Clive never saw a reason to learn to dance. And even after what happened, he never made time.

"For a man with many experiences, you are a terrible dancer."

Clive blushed but never stopped staring at his beautiful wife.

"I never thought I'd be lucky enough to dance with you, my lady."

Jill chuckles as she embraces her husband.

"This feels like a dream, as if I'd wake up at any moment and you'd be gone… forever."

Clive responded, "This is not a dream, my lady. It is real, and I will make sure that you will have many happy dreams come true."

Clive and Jill continue to dance as they are surrounded by all the friends and family that loves them dearly. After all the pain and suffering they endured, they finally have each other. No more of the feeling of self-hate and unworthiness. Together, they will finally have peace and love that was taken from them for a long time.

But no matter the hardships and struggles, they would always return to each other. No matter what fantasy they live, it will not be their final moments. For they have something that even fate itself can not break.

A love everlasting.

A history of trust and faith.

An Unbreakable Bond.

Part 1 of the conclusion. Sorry for the delay, I've been busy on my main project as well as IRL stuff. Forgive me if the writing isn't all that good. If I'm being honest, I have no experience in Romance stuff. I just looked at several Cloud/Tifa fanfictions as well Clive/Jill and put the canons and head-canons together. So forgive me if it's not too well. Next chapter will focus more on Cloud and Tifa. Though there will be some implications in the end, but nothing too steamy. I never wrote a smut/lemon story and I don't have the confidence to do that. But, I hope you enjoyed. Until the next update
