It's such a beautiful day. I stare at the sun coming up over the horizon, and equip a weight set I found in my inventory. 'Complimentary training weight set, infinite weight, bound to Son Amako.'

It's an interesting, and incredibly convenient set. It's just wrist bands, but they actually control the amount of gravity you experience. I set them to ten times. Because that's what the hyperbolic time chamber used.

Six hours later.

My whole body hurts but I know it will adapt eventually, being what I am.

I drag myself off the ground, and stand up. It felt like my bones were breaking, and rebuilding over and over again. It was the most excruciating thing I had ever experienced.

Although, it doesn't hurt that much now for some reason...skills. 'Pain tolerence 30.' Ah...that explains it. Must have missed all the pings because of my screams.

I can move around now. Guess I finally adapted enough.

I start jogging into the forest to search for food. I see some fruits and decide to test out another gamer staple. Observe. Ping 'Cantaloupe. Common. Edible.'

Well. Helpful enough. Guess I have to level it higher to get more information.

I slowly climb up the tree and get a few. Although...I do find it weird that I haven't actually felt hunger since I got here.

'That's because you don't feel hunger anymore.' What? 'Don't you read?'

...Well yes, I love to read. It's just I,

'excuses excuses.'

The fuck?

'Look, you have gamer's body and gamer's mind, you should already know what that means.'

Okay okay, I get it. Fucking hell.

Well…guess I don't have to eat, drink, or sleep anymore. I should have expected this for not reading all the instructions. I should know this already damn it. I failed that assignment in kindergarten. Can't believe I made that mistake again.

Ah screw it. I'll just train and sleep when I get mentally tired.

After a month.

I'm making tremendous progress with all these cheats.

I also keep dreaming about the unlocked memories. I see memories of my life with grandpa Gohan as well. Interestingly enough. Instead of being an aggressive monkey child I was incredibly docile.

I lauhged at the memory of me cowering behind a tree when Gohan first found me. I wonder if it was my personality, or did this version of Goku take more after Gine than Bardock.

My name is also Niku instead of Kakarot. Maybe, I'm also a defective Saiyan like my mother. It makes me think that this is really me, instead of just some parasite possessing some poor kid.

'Duh.'

Fucking hell!

I think I might wish them back now. Them and grandpa Gohan. It's probably gonna take awhile. I can't believe my dumb-ass still fell down a waterfall though.

I'm really really bored now. After a month of constant training I need to do something else. Seriously. I'm not actually Goku. Training obsessed weirdo.

I take off into the air, and speed towards West city. I land on the outskirts, wouldn't want anyone to freak the fuck out. I take off my clothes, wrap my tail around my waist, and put my clothes back on. Then I make my way into the city

Holy hell, this place is amazing. Capsule Corp definitely has a monopoly though. Most of the buildings have a Capsule Corp logo on them. That's what I've come here for. New world, new things to learn. It's the only thing I ever really enjoyed in life. Reading, and learning. I of course got bullied constantly for it too. I never did find a job I actually liked. Because every job was basically just the same thing over, and over again.

But reading...stories always changed, and there was always something new to learn.

I walk up to an officer and tug on his shirt to get his attention. "excuse me sir, but where is the public library?"

He looks down at me. "Oh what a polite little girl. Shouldn't you be in school?"

"I don't think so sir, I'm only 5."

"Ah, where are your parents?"

"sorry sir but I don't have any, I'm an orphan. I'm not even from West city"

"oh dear that's a shame. Well in that case. In West city the public library is actually the university library. Its the biggest library in the world."

He laughs as he sees my eyes sparkling. "Hop on I'll take you there." So we hop on his bike. I'm excited, a hover bike. I've always wanted to ride one.

I mean I know I just flew here. But come on, it's not my fault I'm a freaking nerd. We speed off into the air. The city is huge. I memorize the layout for later. Which I'm pretty sure is why he flew up so high.

I thank the officer, and wave as he takes off.

I make my way inside the gargantuan building. The library is adjacent to the university campus. I guess to make it easier for public library goers.

My mouth falls agape as I stare at all the books. I've been to quite a few libraries but this is insane. This is the most books I've ever seen in one place.

I walk to the front desk. There are multiple women on duty. I choose the middle one. I get close...I can't even see over the desk. Well. I guess my grandma was tiny. Hopefully, it's just because I'm a kid.

I knock on the desk, and the woman startles and drops the book she was looking at. It bonks me on the head. I reach down, and pick it up. Then lift it up to her over the desk. She grabs it. Then gets up to look over the desk at me.

She stares at me. I'm guessing she is surprised to see someone so young in this library. I smile widely at her. She smiles back. "Thank you dear, what can I do for you today?"

"Hello. I would like to read books here, and maybe get a library card."

"Well, I can definitely help you with that, though it is surprising seeing someone so young here at this time of day. You know they have a library at the elementary school?"

"I'm new to West city. I'm also too young to go to school yet. I asked an officer for directions to the public library, and he brought me here."

"You can read as many books here as you want. Unfortunately, we will need your parents permission to get you a library card."

I look at her, and nod "Ah, well...I guess I can just read here." She looks at me with what I guess is curiosity, but doesn't question any further.

She shows me how the computer search system works, and leaves me to it.

I searched for all the university level texts on the sciences in this world. It took a few months to get through them all. My reading comprehension, and observation leveled up at a steady pace. Making me able to read, and learn the subject matter exponentially faster.

It's not completely different, but still different enough that it's interesting to learn about. It is super advanced stuff as well. I was a nerd in my past life, but this brain is on a different level.

I can't tell if Goku was always this scary intelligent, and his brain damage crippled him. Or is it the gamer system. Although. Goku was a genius when it came to fighting. Maybe it was Saiyan instinct. I certainly don't feel it. I guess my docile human mind overrides it. Or, maybe it's gamer's mind.

A few months later.

I had to force myself not to go after the fiction. That's one of the traps I fell into in my last life.

As I head out the door to go home, the librarian. The first one I talked to called me over. "Amako dear, can I talk to you for a second." So I walk up to her and nod my head.

"I've noticed...the level of books you have been reading for awhile now. I was wondering...if you can actually understand them."

I stare at her debating whether to tell her or not. "Well, at first I didn't but I eventually got it."

Her eyes opened wide with what is most likely surprise."Oh my, and may I ask how old you are?"

"Well, I'm still five."

Her eyes got even wider. Mouthing five to herself in apparent shock. "Well that is...wow, only five."

I nod my head in confirmation. I guess this would come up eventually, being around civilization I would eventually get found out.

"What do your parents do?"

I stare at her. "They're both dead. They were soldiers. They died in the line of duty while saving my life."

Her face falls. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to be insensitive!"

"It's okay, there was no way you could have known. I never told you. I've been coming here for months, of course you would get curious."

"No it is my fault. I remember that you purposely avoided talking about your parents, my curiosity just got too strong. I'm sorry"

I look at her smiling. "It's okay, I forgive you."

She smiles back. "Oh Amako, you're such a kind girl you know."

Her smile drops. "So...you're an orphan?"

Crap. "Well...yes. But it doesn't matter. I'm more than capable of taking care of myself." I insist, but I don't think she buys it.

She deadpans at me. I nervously laugh.

"Well...anyways, I should get going. It's going to get dark soon." I say as a rush out the door. Hearing her yell "wait a minute" in the background.

I make my way back home.
