1845-1863

James Howlett, a boy living on what would become the northwest territories of Canada, watches his father get murdered by a groundskeeper named Thomas Logan, who his mother had been having an affair with. Enraged, James unintentionally activates a mutation deep within him, stabbing Thomas with bone laws protruding from his knuckles.

However, as he dies, Thomas reveals to James that he was his biological father. Shocked and driven away by his mother, James runs away from home with his half brother Victor Creed, who was a mutant like him. 17 years later in 1857, a Texas ranger named Carter Slade, who had become greedy, is sentenced to death.

However, he is approached by the demon Mephistopheles, who offers him a deal that would free him. Slade is transformed into the Ghost Rider, a skull headed flaming avatar of the fallen angel Zarathos, and is sent to the town of San Venganza to collect a contract of 1,000 souls.

However, knowing these souls would cause hell on Earth, Slade decides to do what no Ghost Rider had ever done before: Outrun the devil. So, for the next century and a half, he hides the contract from Mephistopheles, eventually becoming the caretaker of a chapel's graveyard. 6 years later, Logan and VIctor fight for the union in the American Civil War.

1936

An italian child prodigy named Tadzio de Santis is kidnapped by the italian government, with Mussolini being there in person, and used as a test subject for their super soldier serum, them murdering his family in the process. However, Santis's face is horribly scarred by this version of the serum, and he earns the nickname of "the Red Skull."

Horrified by what her government had done, Doctor Maria Vaselli, one of the leading scientists in the super soldier project, flees the country and joins the United States. After this, the Red Skull becomes known as a hero to the Axis powers, with Italy eager to use him once war inevitably broke out.

1939

World War 2 officially breaks out, and Logan and Victor join the war alongside the rest of the Canadian army only a few weeks into it.

1943

The latest version of the super soldier serum is completed by the US government with the aid of doctor Vaselli, and a man named Steve Rogers, who had been excluded from the draft due to his polio, volunteers himself to receive the serum. The experiment succeeds without Steve being scarred, but Vaselli is then shot and killed by an undercover Nazi.

Steve is also shot and put in the hospital, but luckily manages to heal extremely quickly thanks to the super soldier serum, and is soon ready for action. With Vaselli dead, the secrets of the super soldier serum had died with her, leaving Steve the only super soldier in existence besides the Red Skull.

Rogers is soon given a fireproof uniform created by Doctor Vaselli and given the codename Captain America, being sent on his first mission afterwards. That first mission was to stop the Red Skull from launching a missile at Washington DC. Unfortunately, once Cap gets to the Red Skull, he is easily defeated and strapped to the rocket.

However, as he's sent flying off, he manages to trick the Red Skull into cutting his own hand off, and as he flies close to Washington DC, he kicks the rocket upwards so that it lands in Alaska, encasing Captain America in ice. A young boy named Thomas Kimbal sees Cap kick the rocket away from the white house and takes a photo of it, remembering Cap for several decades to come.

1944-1949

Logan and Victor, now nicknamed Sabertooth, participate in the D-Day landing invasion, and soon after it proves successful, Logan is transferred to the Japanese front. However he is quickly captured by Japanese troops and brought to a POW camp near Nagasaki, where he remains for the next several months.

When an atomic bomb is dropped on Nagasaki, Logan saves a young soldier named Ichiro Yashida by shielding him with his own body. A grateful Yashida offers Logan his samurai sword, but Logan declines, stating that he would one day return for it. A few days later, World War 2 officially came to an end.

4 years after the end of the war, the telepathic mutant Charles Xavier meets a man named Erik Lehnsherr, who was a mutant that could manipulate metal and magnetism and a survivor of the holocaust. The two end up becoming close friends, but have differing views on humanity. Erik believed that mutants should rise up against and destroy mankind due to his time in Auschwitz, while Xavier believed they should coexist.

1962

The existence of mutants is revealed to the world, and the general public is split on what to do with them. However, most are anti-mutant, and a prominent anti-mutant group called the friends of humanity is founded. Red Skull had also gotten Plastic surgery and formed a secret terrorist organization in the years after WW2, which sought to use the chaos caused by mutantkind's existence to destroy America from within.

Also in this year, Xavier founds the Xavier School for gifted youngsters, a school that would house mutants and teach them how to control their powers.

1963

Red Skull's terrorist group assassinates John F Kennedy, who was secretly a mutant, and although Erik tries to stop them by deflecting the bullet with his magnetic powers, he fails and is blamed for Kennedy's death. He is sentenced to 2 life sentences in a federal correctional facility with no possibility of parole.

Erik then talks to Charles Xavier in prison, and Charles apologizes for doubting him after learning the truth about Kennedy from Erik.

1964-1965

A year after the assassination of John F Kennedy, the Red Skull has an affair with a German woman in his terrorist group, who gives birth to a daughter that he names Valentina. Valentina's mother had died in the birthing process, but the Red Skull didn't mourn her, not truly loving her.

A year after Valentina's birth, America enters the Vietnam War, and among the American soldiers are Logan and Victor, who were still in their prime thanks to their mutant powers, and Tom Kimbal. Kimbal became a famous war hero during this time. Over the course of these 2 years, Magneto escapes prison twice, the metal bars of his cells unable to hold him.

1966

A genetics researcher trying to improve human DNA named David Banner is forbidden by his superior, Colonel Thaddius "Thunderbolt" Ross, from experimenting on human subjects. Enraged at this, David experiments on himself, and soon after conceives a son that he names Bruce.

1967

While giving birth to her son, a woman named Vanessa Brooks is bitten by the vampire Deacon Frost and seemingly dies giving birth to her son Eric. However, Vannesa had survived and became a vampire, while Eric became a human-vampire hybrid, having all of a vampire's strengths but none of their weaknesses.

While mutants and vampires are aware of each other's existence, they don't interfere with each other due to the vampires being intimidated by the mutants, and the mutants not wanting the vampires existence to be known to the public, believing that it would further sour relations between them and lead to politicians using their presence to launch war against mutant kind.

The same year, Trask Industries is founded by Bolivar Trask, which specializes in developing DNA generated artificial limbs, revolutionizing the field of prosthetics.

1968

Martin Luthur King Jr is assassinated by Red Skull's terrorist organization due to their Nazi morality and King being a major leader of several non violent protests, along with a big name in civil rights circles in general. Several months later, Robert Kennedy, the brother of JFK who was also a mutant, is assassinated as well by a palestinian member of Red Skull's terrorist group.

1970

David, upon seeing that Bruce barely ever showed emotion and glowed green when he did, realizes that his experiments on himself had affected his son. He tries to find a cure for Bruce, but Ross ends up shutting down his experiment, causing David to go insane, destroy his laboratory and attempt to kill Bruce, fearing that he would turn into a monster and kill him.

However, he ends up accidentally killing Bruce's mother, and is confined to a mental hospital while Bruce is taken into foster care. The boy is left with PTSD and represses the memory of his mother's death for decades.

1971

Trask Industries builds an escape proof cell under the Pentagon's central courtyard that Erik is transported to, and unlike the others, this cell actually succeeds in containing him for several years.

1973

The mutant Mystique kills Bolivar Trask during the Paris Peace conference after hearing of atrocities he had committed against mutantkind, but is captured and experimented on, her DNA being used to create giant robots called Sentinels that would be able to adapt to any mutant power.

However, the Sentinals would take decades to be completed, and the US government would slowly pull funding. Meanwhile in Vietnam, Victor kills several of his fellow soldiers after they stop him from raping a vietnamese woman. Logan reluctantly steps in to defend his brother, and the two are sentenced to death by firing squad for insubordination.

However, their mutant healing factors enable them to survive the execution, so they're simply thrown in a cell, and soon afterwards are approached by colonel William Stryker. He offers the two the chance to join a covert black ops team of mutants he had created called team X, and the two agree.

Their teammates are Wade Wilson, Agent Zero, Christopher "Chris" Bradley, John Wraith, and Fred Dukes. One of their missions takes them to Nigeria, where they are ordered to recover a meteor containing the precious metal adamantium. However, when Stryker and the other members of team X brutally torture the inhabitants of a village for information on the meteorite's location, a disgusted Logan quits.

He heads back to Canada to live out his life in seclusion as a lumberjack, but Stryker sends a mutant named Kayla, codenamed Silverfox, to keep an eye on him. The two end up forming a relationship, and meanwhile, team X is disbanded.

1977

A young mutant named Pietro Maximoff, who was the son of Erik Leshnerr via a one night stand, breaks 8 world records in track and Field thanks to his super speed. When genetic testing reveals him to be a mutant, it results in a massive controversy which leads to the introduction of a genetic testing policy aided by Trask industries which bans any mutants from participating in professional sporting events.

Shortly after this, Pietro's home is attacked by members of the friends of humanity and Pietro's mother is murdered. After this, he is approached by a surviving Nazi named Baron Von Strucker who had broken off from Red Skull's terrorist group. Strucker offers him a home and introduces him to his half-sister Wanda, who Strucker had discovered abandoned as a child.

Pietro accepts, and Strucker adopts him. Over the following years, Wanda and Pietro are trained by Strucker in utilizing their mutant powers, and they grow closer as siblings, with Wanda even adopting Pietro's last name. They also go into suspended animation with Strucker for decades at a time in order to remain young for as long as possible.

1979

Sabertooth and Kayla fake Kayla's death, and Sabertooth also begins killing off the former members of team X. Logan, enraged at Kayla's supposed death, agrees to have Stryker reinforce his skeleton with adamantium after losing a bar fight to Sabertooth. However, Logan hears that Stryker was planning to wipe his memory to turn him into a weapon, making him bust free and flee to an elderly couple's house.

The couple take him in, but are quickly killed by Zero, who then tries to kill Logan. Logan vows to kill Sabertooth and Stryker, and then kills Zero. he then heads to Las Vegas where he finds Wraith and Dukes, Dukes having developed an eating disorder to cope with what had happened in their missions.

He learns that the disbanded team X had been kidnapping mutants for Stryker, and Sabertooth had actually been working for Stryker the whole time. They also tell Logan of a mutant named Remy LeBeau, AKA Gambit, that had escaped Stryker's mutant prison and knew where it was.

Logan and Wraith head to a club where they meet Gambit, but he assumes that they were there to recapture him and gets into a brief fight with Logan. However, as they fight, Sabertooth kills Wraith and takes his DNA. Victor manages to escape as Logan and Gambit fight, but Gambit eventually agrees to take Logan to the mutant prison/laboratory on three mile island.

When they arrive, Logan learns that Kayla was still alive and had been forced to survey Logan or her sister would have been killed. However, Stryker refuses to release Kayla's sister and also refuses to allow Sabertooth to have adamantium infused into his skeleton, believing that it would kill him.

Enraged, Sabertooth tries to kill Kayla, but Logan stops him and overpowers him. Logan has the chance to kill his brother, but refuses to give into his animal instincts, and instead knocks him out. Silverfox then helps Logan save all the mutants Stryker had kidnapped, and a panicked Stryker brings out his ultimate weapon: Weapon X1.

Weapon X1 was Wade Wilson, who had been killed by Sabertooth and was infused with the powers of all of the captured mutants, as well as an adamantium skeleton. Logan fights weapon X1 as Kayla leads the children through the facility's tunnels, being mortally wounded in the process.

The children are eventually picked up by Charles Xavier in a helicopter, who offers them all a home at his school. Meanwhile, Logan and Weapon X1's fight leads them to the top of one of the nuclear power plant's cooling towers, and with the aid of Victor, Logan decapitates weapon X1.

Victor then leaps off the cooling tower as it collapses, with Logan being saved by Gambit. He then finds Kayla and attempts to carry her to safety, but is shot in the back and then the head by an adamantium bullet created by Stryker, giving him amnesia.

Kayla then uses her power of persuasion to make Stryker walk away until his feet bleed, and dies of her injuries afterwards. Gambit then arrives and tells the now amnesiac Logan that the children were safe and offers for him to come with him, but Logan declines.

Gambit bids his friend farewell, and a few days later, Stryker is found and apprehended by the military police for questioning on the death of a general Munson, who he had previously killed to protect his vendetta against mutants. Meanwhile, Logan begins roaming the world without memories or a purpose, and eventually begins engaging in cage fights at Canadian bars.

Phil Blumbertt and two other scientists create a laser spectroscope that accidentally transports a being from the planet duckworld from an alternate universe named Howard the Duck to Earth. Howard ends up fighting off a group of thugs attacking a woman using his quack-fu shortly after he arrives on Earth, and afterwards said woman introduces herself as Beverly Switzler.

Beverly lets Howard stay the night at her apartment, and the next day she takes him to doctor Blumbertt. However, once Howard learns that Blumbertt was only a lab assistant, he resigns himself to life on Earth, and rejects Beverly's help. He gets himself a job cleaning up at a local romantic spa, but still can't fit in.

He eventually quits his job at the spa and goes back to Beverly, who played in a band called Cherry Bomb. at the club where Cherry Bomb was performing, Howard comes across the manager and begins fighting him when he insults the band. Howard wins this confrontation, and ends up accompanying Beverly back to her apartment.

She convinces him to become her new manager, and before they can have sex, Blumbertt and his colleagues approach them and tell them how Howard got to Earth. They also theorize that Howard could be returned home via the reversal of the process which sent them there. However, as they arrive at the laboratory, the spectroscope malfunctions as soon as it is activated, bringing a "Dark overlord of the universe" to Earth.

This being quickly possesses one of the scientists, and when Beverly and Howard go to a diner, the being demonstrates its powers by destroying a table, utensils and condiments. After saving Howard from being killed by some bikers and a chef, he kidnaps Beverly and takes her to the laboratory.

Howard locates Phil and they take an ultralight aircraft to the lab, where they find the Dark Overlord trying to transfer another one of his kind into Beverly's body. Howard and Phil seemingly destroy the Dark Overlord with an experimental neutron disintegrator, but it is merely pushed out of Beverly's body and attacks them in its true form.

Howard kills the Overlord for good with the Neutron disintegrator, and then destroys the Spectroscope, stopping the other Dark Overlords from coming through, but permanently stranding himself on Earth. Afterwards, Howard becomes Beverly's manager, hires Phil as an employee on his tour, and performs his own guitar solo.

From this point on, Howard would just live a normal life, not getting involved in any of the super-battles that would occur over the following decades. Soon after these events, Charles and Erik visit a young telepathic mutant named Jean Grey, and Charles brings her to join his school.

However, fearing Jean's incredible power since most of it was tied to her unconscious mind, Charles places a series of mental blocks on her, which causes her to develop a split personality known as the Phoenix. Erik is enraged at Charles for manipulating Jean's mind without her knowledge or consent, and the two end up having an argument which ends in Erik accidentally crippling Charles.

Erik then leaves, starts going by the name Magneto, and forms a brotherhood of mutants in order to enact his own version of justice for mutantkind. At the same time, a 17 year old named Johnny Blaze makes a deal with Mephistopheles to cure his father's cancer in exchange for his soul, but his father dies the next day in a stunt accident.

The now 31 year old Blade raids a vampire nightclub owned by Deacon Frost, slaughtering the vampires within. He is prevented from killing one of Frost's retainers named Quinn by the arrival of the police, and when they take Quinn to the hospital, he turns two of them into vampires. Blade tracks Quinn to the hospital, but seeing that one of the doctors, Karen Jenson, resembled his mother, he takes her to he and Whistler's base.

Whistler protests this, but Blade ignores him, and when Karen awakens Whistler tells her about vampires and Blade's origins. Meanwhile, at the vampire council of Erabus, Frost, the leader of a younger vampire faction, is rebuked for attempting to start war between humans and vampires. Since Frost and the other members of his faction were not naturally born vampires, they were considered inferior.

Blade later decides to use Karen as bait to lure out a vampire familiar named Kriegar, who was also a policeman. Kreigar later informs Frost of what had happened, and enraged by this, Frost kills him. Meanwhile, Blade interrogates an obese vampire named Pearl, who tells him that Deacon Frost was planning to perform a ritual where he would use 12 pure-blooded vampires to transform into the blood god La Magdra, the original vampire.

Later on, after learning that the serum Blade used to control his bloodlust was becoming ineffective due to overuse, Karen begins experimenting with the anticoagulant EDTA as a replacement. However, she quickly learns that Vampire blood exploded when combined with EDTA, so she synthesizes a vaccine which could cure the undead. However, it didn't work on Blade.

Karen promises to find a way to cure Blade's bloodlust, even if it takes years, but the vampires soon storm Blade's base, kidnapping Karen and infecting Whistler. When Blade returns, Whistler begs for him to kill him, but Blade can't bring himself to do it. So, Whistler grabs the gun from him and seemingly ends his own life.

Enraged by this, Blade storms Deacon Frost's mansion, using the EDTA to kill any vampire that gets in his way. However, he soon encounters his vampirized mother, stunning him long enough for the vampires to capture him, bring him to the La Magdra temple and drain his blood.

Luckily, Karen manages to escape and allows Blade to drain her blood to regain his strength. Once he does, he kills his mother and slaughters most of Frost's servants. He then fights Frost, now a vessel of La Magdra, and kills him using the EDTA. Karen then offers Blade a cure which she had previously used on herself, which would cure Blade's bloodlust at the cost of his vampiric abilities.

Blade refuses, and returns to vampire hunting. Soon after these events, Blade learns that Whistler had survived his attempted suicide and had been captured by vampires. He begins looking for him for two years.

2000

Bruce Banner, now a brilliant scientist at the Berley lab in california, saves a colleague named Harper from an accident with a malfunctioning gammasphere. The gamma radiation fuses with Bruce's altered DNA, and after stress caused by his father coming back and using his DNA for animal experimentation, Bruce turns into a giant green monster known as the Hulk.

He destroys the lab before passing out, and his lab partner and ex-girlfriend Betty Ross, daughter of General Ross, finds him the next day in his home. General Ross interrogates Bruce as Betty tracks down David to investigate him. Ross puts Bruce under house arrest, but David calls him that night and tells him that he had mutated his 3 dogs with gamma radiation and had sicced them on Betty.

An enraged Bruce is attacked by Major Glenn Talbot, but then transforms, injuring Talbot and Ross's men. He then finds Betty in a cabin in the woods, saves her from the gamma dogs, and then changes back. Bruce is then tranquilized and brought to a government holding base, and while Betty tries to convince her father to help Bruce control the Hulk since he saved her, General Ross refuses to listen.

David then subjects himself to the gammasphere and nanomeds, becoming capable of melding with and absorbing the properties of everything he touched. Talbot ends up wresting control from Ross, sending Betty home and attempting to provoke Bruce so he could profit from the power of the Hulk.

However, he fails, so he places Bruce in an isolation cell and triggers nightmares that bring out Bruce's suppressed memories. Afterwards, David confronts Betty and offers to turn himself in, wanting to see his son one last time. He tells Betty about what had happened to Bruce's mother, and remembering this, Bruce transforms and kills Talbot, escaping afterwards into the desert.

Hulk fights and destroys the tanks and helicopters sent to stop him, and eventually reaches San Francisco. Betty convinces her father to take her to the Hulk, and she manages to calm him down, causing him to revert to Banner. That night, David is taken to a base to talk to Bruce, with 2 electrical generators being placed between them just in case.

David, now completely insane, rants to Bruce about how the military had destroyed their lives. After calling Bruce a pathetic shell of his true son, he bites onto an electrical cable, absorbing its power and transforming into an electrical being. Bruce transforms and the two fight, eventually falling into a lake where Hulk begins overloading his father with energy.

Ross orders for a gamma charge bomb to be dropped, which completely destroys David and seemingly kills Bruce. However, he had been shielded from the blast by the water, and when he awakens he goes into hiding in South America. A few days later, Blade finally finds Whistler in Prague, saves him, and cures him.

Whistler is then introduced to Blade's new assistant, Joshua Fromeyer, AKA Scud. Afterwards, Blade is approached by two vampires, Asad and Nyssa, who ask Blade to help them take down a new more powerful strand of vampires known as Reapers. Blade reluctantly agrees, and teams up with the Bloodpack, a team of vampires originally meant to kill Blade.

Blade asserts his dominance over the Bloodpack, and leads them in the fight against the reapers and the investigation into their origins. During these investigations, Blade forms an intimate connection with Nyssa. During an investigation at a vampire nightclub, they encounter a group of Reapers, and their leader, Jared Nomak, takes Nyssa hostage. He tries to convince Blade to join him, but the two fight as the bloodpack are picked off one by one.

Nomak eventually retreats when the sun comes up, and after discovering the Reaper nest in the sewers, Whistler and Scud make UV weapons for the team, as well as a UV emitting bomb powerful enough to take out the entire nest. Blade, Whistler, and the remaining members of the bloodpack all enter the nest, where they spread out and more of them die, including Asad.

Blade is eventually forced to use the UV grenade to kill all of the Reapers except Nomak, but Nyssa is heavily injured by the blast, and Blade allows her to drink his blood in order to survive. However, vampire overlord Eli Damaskinos, the father of Nyssa who had sent Nyssa and Asad to recruit Blade in the first place, betrays and captures Blade, Whistler and Scud.

The 3 learn that Damaskinos had created the Reapers in an attempt to engineer a stronger breed of vampires. Nomak, who Damaskinos considered a failure due to his weakness to sunlight, was the first to be infected with the reaper virus. Scud then reveals himself to be one of Damaskinos's relatives, but Blade, already suspecting this, kills Scud.

Damaskinos then begins to drain Blade of his blood in order to develop an immunity to sunlight and create a new and invincible race of vampires. Luckily, Whistler escapes his bonds and frees Blade, with Nomak then bursting into the room, wanting revenge on his father for turning him into a reaper. Daimaskinos is then betrayed by Nyssa, who had become disillusioned with her father's extreme methods, and killed by Nomak.

Nomak then infects Nyssa to "complete the circle", and after being defeated by Blade he finds a twisted form of comfort and kills himself. At Nyssa's request, Blade then brings her to the roof of her father's building so that she could see the sun. she disintegrates in Blade's arms as the sun comes up, and afterwards Blade returns to Prague and kills the one vampire he let go, finishing the job.
