The Shark and the Ladybug

This is the story of Claire Damocles, daughter of Denis, as she balances her normal life with her duty of protecting Paris, the city she calls home, as superhero Shark Queen while Marinette Dupain-Cheng develops deep feelings for her teammate and vice versa

Author's Note: In this, Adrien will already be dating Madelyn and Claire and Juleka will be ex-girlfriends but still on friendly terms with each other. Also, in this, the others on the Miraculous team, with the exception of Chloe, will be entirely entrusted with their respective Miraculous by Marinette, be their permanent holders, and know each other's identity

One day in Paris, Claire was walking through the streets of her home, her Kwami, Onyxx, hidden in her jacket. She was on her way to school. Her father had offered her a ride, but she'd said she'll walk to school.

"Claire, wait up!" A girl called and Claire saw Alya Césaire, a classmate and Miraculous teammate of hers, jogging to her.

Claire smiled. "Hey, Alya."

"How are you feeling today?"

"Not bad, for a Monday."

Claire hated Mondays with a passion, so to not feel grouchy on a Monday was a rare thing for her.

"You coming to the Jagged Stone concert at the Eiffel Tower tonight?"

"Absolutely! No way would I miss my favorite rockstar's concert!"

"Will it be awkward for you? Juleka said she'll be at her dad's concert."

"No, it won't. We talked it out and we're back on friendly terms."

"That's good. Wouldn't want thing to be awkward at the concert." Another voice said and the two saw a pair of town girls walking to the two of them. They both had blueish-black hair in pigtails, fair skin, and bright bluebell eyes.

These girls were Madelyn Dupain-Cheng and her younger twin, Marinette.

Marinette's face was as red as a tomato when she got closer to Claire. The four kept walking to the school. Along the way, they came across Adrien Agreste, Madelyn's boyfriend and another Miraculous teammate of the four girls.

Upon entering the school, the five saw a boy with black hair and brown eyes and fair skin.

"Oh no." Claire said.

"You know him, Cece?" Alya asked.

"Sadly, yes. That's Jeremy...the only guy I ever dated before realizing that I was gay."

Jeremy saw Claire with her friends and marched to them. "You all need to stay away from my girl!"

"I am not your girl anymore, Jeremy. I am a lesbian."

If he wasn't angry before, he was fuming now. "No, you're not! You can't be gay!"

"I can't help being into girls!"

"It's not a choice one makes. I'm bisexual." Madelyn said.

"Stay out of this!" Jeremy snapped at her before turning back to Claire with an angered expression. "You think you can just abandon me like your mother abandoned you?!"

Claire stepped back.

"I think you need to walk away, right now." Adrien said in a dangerously calm tone.

"And what's the great Adrien Agreste gonna do if I don't?"

"You don't want the answer, pal."

The two boys glared at each other.

"Mr. Moreau, you were told to stay away from my daughter!" Denis Damocles, the Claire's father and the school's principal, said.

Jeremy growled at Adrien then turned to Claire. "One way or another, you will be mine again, Claire. I made that promise the day I walked out of your house and I intend to keep it!"

A girl with black and purple hair stood face to face with Jeremy and she had a dark look in her eyes. "None of Claire's friends are going to let you get anywhere near her."

"We'll see, you freaky goth chick." Jeremy said then walked away while Denis ran to his daughter.

"You okay, sweetheart?" He asked.

Claire nodded then hugged the goth girl. "Thank you, Juleka."

Juleka smiled and hugged back. "No problem."

Jeremy growled as he watched from the other side of the courtyard with a look of fury. He felt the ear wrap he had on. "Soon, my darling Chloe, you'll be seeing things my way." He said quietly. "Nobody will ever come between us again." He added with a twisted smile on his face.

Claire sat on a bench and her friends joined around her.

"So, what's the psycho's deal?" Alya asked.

Claire sighed. "He literally is the only guy I ever dated before I came out. He'd had a crush on me back in middle school and asked me out. I thought he was a nice guy, so I said yes. I'd hoped to call in love with him so that I wouldn't actually be a lesbian, but nothing we did helped me fall in love with him. He noticed this over time and started changing. He became entirely possessive of me, never allowing me to be alone, not letting me hang out with friends. The day I came out was the day I had enough and told him then dumped him. He was furious and sword he'd win me back."

"Jeez." Adrien said.

"Yeah. With him here, there's gonna be hell."

I know I'm making a few deviations from the show, but don't butcher me for this. I'm still learning about the show and its lore. But what I intend is that Marinette convinces Master Fu to let her friends that she chooses to keep their Miraculous and unlock powers as they go on this journey.
