Chapter One

Casey Home, Mokena, IL – It still didn't feel real, that she was here in these comfortable sheets; the sheets which her sexy (secret) boyfriend also slept in the night before, when they slept in the same bed for the first time in oh so long. And even better, it was a night where they didn't need to sneak around; and that's due to the fact that he ended things with his (now ex) fiancé. And yes, I know what you're thinking; or at least, what you're understanding from that statement. And that would be that, up until now, the woman who's currently laying down in bed with the man who owns this gorgeous home was the other woman; and you'd be correct due to the fact that she has been the other woman for around eighteen months. But that's no longer her status in her long-time boyfriend's life, as she is now his girlfriend; the woman he truly loves and can't wait to show off to the world. Something that her boyfriend was more than ready to tell her just as soon as his girlfriend woke up, which is precisely what Alex was in the midst of doing as she cuddled up to Mr. Matthew Casey; her longtime boyfriend, and the Chairman and CEO of the company of which she models lingerie for, Casey.

His family company which he runs with his sister Christie, who just so happens to be her boss as she is the Vice-Chairwoman of the Board, while also being the President and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Casey Apparel; the company which she models for. And get this, that's just one half of the company; as there's an entirely other division which is much more profitable, the one that's led by Matt's best friend Andrew Darden (whose sons by his wife Heather Darden just so happen to also be her hunky boyfriend's godsons). And that was why he decided to choose Andy (that's his nickname) rather than his other best friend Kelly Severide to be the new President and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Casey Construction, along with the fact that he has a degree in business administration; something that Mr. Severide doesn't have, regardless of the fact that he is the Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Casey Homes. That's the name of the company that's in charge of building homes for the company, including the very one that she's currently waking up in right now in the comfort of her now-awake boyfriend's arms, which she just learned.

But how did she learn that he was awake? Well, that was by him pressing a soft kiss onto her forehead; something that Alex loved the feeling of as she ran her hand down his toned chest, while also bending down and kissing his chest softly. "That you're way of telling me that you're awake?" Matt agreed with Alex, as that most certainly was his way of telling her that he was now awake on this, the first day of December 2012. The first day where he got to wake up with the woman he truly loves in his arms, oh so much more than his ex-fiancé (whom he ended things with rather than being left by after she told him that she doesn't want to have kids); and that was a non-starter for him. If his fiancé doesn't want to have kids with him, then they're over; especially since the thing that Mr. Casey wants more than anything in the entire world is to be a father, so he needs to find someone he can have kids with. And the truth is, that's precisely what Matt thinks he's found in the woman who was currently all cuddled up to him this morning; a woman he can love, and who can love her (while also helping him realize his biggest dream in life of being a father). And that's why he's happy right now.

Happy to finally have the woman he truly loves in his bed, rather than have to wake up all miserable in bed with the woman he's come to despise (unfortunately) due to the fact that she doesn't want to have children. As much as he hates to say it, he truly believes that there's just no coming back from that; because if she doesn't want to have children, then he doesn't see a future with her. And that's something that he can tell the woman he made love to the night before and will do so if she asks. But right now, he's going to answer the question that she just asked him; rather than think of the question she may (hypothetically) ask him in the future, if she decides to do so. "Yes, yes it is my way of telling you that I'm wake; because I most certainly didn't want to move to tell you that I'm awake when I'm very comfortable here with you naked on my chest." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she ran her hand up his toned chest and then bent down to kiss it softly. After all, that's precisely what she wanted to do right now. She wanted to kiss the man she loves as they held each other close here in bed. And while it might not be on his lips, she's more than okay with his chest.

However, that didn't mean that Matt was okay with her just kissing his chest; as he would much rather have her kiss his lips, which is precisely why he decided to move his hand to the back of her head and stroke it with his thumb. After which, he grabbed her hair and started to tug her up his chest; unintentionally hurting her in the process. "Baby, ow. Ow." Matt agreed with his girlfriend when she was right on top of him, before moving his hand to the side of her face (and letting go of the back of her head in the process). "Here, let me make you feel better babe." Bringing her lips down to his, Matt smirked as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. And damn did Alex love the feeling of his soft lips on hers, as it's something that she's missed for the longest time; after all, she absolutely hates it when they're apart. And for a while now, that's precisely what the two of them have been; apart due to the fact that Matt tried to make his engagement work, until his fiancé left him, and he decided that he was done trying with his ex. Done trying to make something that wasn't working work, when he had someone else who loves and cares for him so much more.

And now, they were together; something that he can see being forever. "God, I love you so much." Alex smirked as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case based on the way he was looking at her right now. "I can see that based on the way you're looking at me all hungry right now. I think someone wants some more sex, just like they had last night." Laughing a bit, Matt agreed as he was not at all against them taking things nice and slow with each other once more, which is why he started to kiss her nice and slowly as a way to get ready to make love to his gorgeous girlfriend once more. However, it seemed like two little brats were not at all interested in letting their parents have what they want with each other; and no, I'm not talking about children as that isn't something that Matt and Alex have yet (though, that doesn't mean that they're against the idea of having kids pre-marriage). Rather, they just don't have them yet; but they have the next best thing. And that would be two adorable dogs: a Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) named Cassie, as well as a Staffordshire Terrier (or a Staffie) name Theo. And let's just say that Matt was not very happy with the both of them right now.

Especially not Theo, due to the fact that he's a guy, who should most definitely be on his side when it comes to the times where he and Alex are naked in bed with each other. "Seriously Theo? You can't help out your dad when he's getting action?" Laughing as she heard Matt say that, Alex cuddled up to him again before pressing her lips to his chest. After which, she felt Matt place his hand on the side of her face and turned it so that they were both looking into each other's eyes. "Oh, don't act like you didn't want me too." Alex agreed with Matt, as she most certainly does want her loving boyfriend too. "Oh, I most certainly do want you as well." Bending down, Alex smirked as she started to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams, which led to Matt rolling over onto his side and bringing his gorgeous girlfriend's body right against his chest where it belongs. After which, he wrapped her arms around her and smirked as they both held each other close here in the comfort of their bed. "God, I am glad that you already agreed to move in." Alex just looked at Matt. "I did no such thing." Matt smirked, as they both knew that wasn't the case; especially when she wants to be here.

She wants to be here with him each and every day for the rest of their lives, and that's something that can be achieved through her moving in; as it would allow her to wake up in Matt's arms each and every morning for the rest of her life. "You sure that's not what you want?" Alex smiled as she placed her hand on his face and kissed him softly. "I want to move in. So yes, we can figure it out. Just not right now when we're naked." Matt agreed with Alex as he wrapped his arms around her, holding her delicious (naked) body right against his chest as he kissed her softly. After which, he leaned back and smiled at the woman he loves. "Listen, I obviously need to take the dogs out…." Pulling away from the kiss, Matt rolled over in bed and then sat up. Opening the covers in the process, he smirked as he bent down and grabbed his boxers as he continued to speak to the woman he loves. "…and maybe while I'm gone, you can start the shower and make it nice and warm for us while I'm gone?" Standing up after putting his boxers on, Matt smirked as he turned around to face Alex while adjusting his boxers. "I mean, unless you want to go for another round when I'm upstairs again?"

Alex snickered as she heard Matt say that, while also slipping over in bed and looking up at the man of her dreams; while he leaned over her and smiled as he put one of his hands on their mattress, while also putting his other hand on the side of her face. Stroking her cheek with his thumb, Matt smiled as he stared into Alex's eyes before bending down and kissing her softly; that was, until she interrupted their kiss to give Matt the answer to his question regarding them going for another round when he's back from putting the dogs out. "Maybe later. Right now, I want to calm down and take it easy with my man. Maybe start with a nice cup of coffee in bed, then we can take a shower together?" Matt smiled as he thought about it, as that's something that he loves the sound of. "Oh, now that's a nice idea. I love the idea of us sitting in bed and sharing some coffee before we take a shower. So, it's a date." Alex agreed with Matt. "Maybe it can also be our new routine as I move in?" Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, while walking over to her underwear. Bending down, he picked them up before carrying them to his wardrobe; an action which confused Alex.

After all, she needed to wear those today. "Hey, where are you going with those? I need to wear those." Matt agreed with Alex as he walked up to his dresser, before opening it and smirking as he went to look at the shirts he had for her to wear. "Dress shirt or t-shirt." Smirking, Alex realized just what Matt was doing. He was getting her something to wear, but he wasn't going to find it in his dresser. "Bathrobe please." Turning his head, Matt smirked as that's something that he loves the sound of; so, he closed his dresser and then proceeded to walk over to Alex with her underwear. Giving them to her, Matt smirked as he let her grab them and put them on; but not until after he leaned over her and kissed her softly. "Now that sounds like the perfect outfit." Alex agreed with Matt, smirking as she started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves. "I love you." Matt agreed with Alex as she told him that she loves him, something that he most certainly feels too. He loves her and is incredibly happy that he's blessed to have her in his life. "I love you too, forever." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, smirking as she continued to put her underwear on, while Matt walked to his closet.

Walking out of his closet after getting his bathrobe for Alex, Matt smirked due to the fact that she was currently partially revealed to him with the covers at her waist; and let's just say that really turned him on. "Ok. Now that's something that can easily make me want to delay breakfast and get back in bed with you." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was what he wanted to do right now; but he most certainly will not due to the fact that they aren't having another round of sex until later at the earliest. And that's precisely what she told her loving boyfriend as he walked up to her with the bathrobe that she was going to wear. "I think we can wait until later. We celebrated last night baby…and as much as I loved it, I feel like…" Matt sighed as he walked up to Alex, already knowing what she was going to say; and that would be that they need to talk. And that was why he set his robe down and proceeded to sit on the edge of their bed this morning, so that he could talk to Alex ahead of him going downstairs; after which, he grabbed her hand and smiled at the woman he loves. "Babe, what's going on? Talk to me and just let me know what we need to talk about." Alex agreed, nodding.

Looking into his eyes, she decided to tell Matt what was going on in her head at the moment. "I just…I need to prepare myself Matt, I need to know right here and now whether this is…" Getting closer to Alex, Matt placed his hand on the side of her face and smiled as he stroked her cheek with his thumb, while also kissing her and taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "Hey, listen to me." Alex agreed with Matt as she placed her hand on his arm. "I wouldn't have asked you to move in if this wasn't permanent. There are things that I haven't told you yet that are going to make my sudden 180/360 make much more sense. By the way, I still hate what I did to you on your birthday. It's just…a lot happened." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, believing him; especially since he's always been honest with her. Or at least, he was until now. "Ok. There's something you haven't told me and I need to know. Matt, what's up?" Matt sighed as he looked at the woman he loves. "Let me back in?" Alex agreed with Matt, doing just that as she slipped over in bed; while he got up and proceeded to join the woman he loves in bed once more so that he can reveal the secret he's been keeping.

To say that Alex was surprised over the secret that her boyfriend has been keeping from her was shocking, especially since it made everything make sense; all the lies he had to tell her, as well as how he had to avoid her and run all the time. Why he was so busy and just always away from the office, and why he was an emotional wreck a week ago. "So, let me get this straight. Hallie had a feeling that you were cheating on her, so she told you she was pregnant?" Matt agreed with Alex, as that was the truth. "In my heart, I knew it wasn't true. But in my head, I knew I had to do the right thing. Plus, she's a doctor. If there's anybody who would know how to fake a pregnancy, it would be her, which is why it was so convincing. So, I felt like I had to break up with you. I had to break up with you while I figured it out, because something didn't smell right. A big part of me wanted it to be true, but something was just off; and I couldn't explain it, and I didn't want to hurt you more than I already had until I had the evidence. Until I knew that it was fake. And if it wasn't, then I would tell you that I need to be with her. That's why I went MIA. And then, I found them." Alex was confused about that.

About what he meant. "Found what?" Matt sighed. "The baby bump, on the ground." Alex was shocked. "She used…" Matt agreed. "A very convincing silicone baby bump that I paid for. So yeah, I'm done with her; because that's just WAY too much. There was no love in the relationship. It was all sex, and manipulation. I mean…" Alex then added on. "If she had to go that far to keep you, then hell yeah it was all manipulation." Matt agreed. "Alex, I hope you know that I regret what I did. I mean, I saw you hurting all that time; and I knew that I should've told you, but I was scared. Scared to be wrong and that it would get back to Hallie. And then what? That would just make things harder. And say she was pregnant; it could've caused a miscarriage. I was in a bad situation. Either I tell you and you help me investigate. We find out it's true, I get into a fight with Hallie that could cause a miscarried; I find out it's fake and we're together. I mean, either I get the girl, or I loose the real baby. Does that make sense?" Alex agreed with Matt, as it does make sense; it makes complete sense as to why he couldn't tell her the reason behind them splitting up. So much so, that she kissed him softly.

She just took things slow with him, as she gave him the comfort that he needs. "Well, now it's over with her. She's out of our lives and that means that we don't need to worry about her, as we start our life together. A life that I most certainly do plan on enjoying with my hunk of a boyfriend, when he makes love to me and take sit nice and slow with me whenever he can. And maybe someday, when he gets me pregnant with our child." Matt agreed, as that most certainly is something that he loves the idea of. He loves the idea of him getting her pregnant with their child in the future, especially since it means that he's going to be a real dad. "I love the sound of that, but let's just slow it down since we just got back together yesterday." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she kissed him again. "God, I am so glad that we went to my place yesterday and got like all of my things." Matt agreed as he turned his head and looked at all of the bags they grabbed. "Yeah, because I took the day off and concentrated on you. A lot of clothes to organize." Alex smirked. "Are you complaining?" Matt shook his head, as he most certainly was not complaining. "No, I'm not." Matt then proceeded to kiss her.

After all, he was extremely happy to have the woman he loves here with him in the comfort of their bed. "I am so happy to have you here, and that will always be the case." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she put her hand on his face and just smirked as she started to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. The man she wants to be with more than anything in the entire world, which is precisely what she is now. She's in a relationship with the man she loves, now and forever. "Listen, what are you doing now? Are you going to take the dogs out and make breakfast? Or are we going to wait and do something else?" Matt smirked. "I need to take Cassie and Theo out. If you want to take a shower, then go ahead and I'll come back to join you." Getting up, Matt smirked as he leaned over to woman he loves again and kissed her softly. "Just make sure that you don't get out before I come up and join you." Alex agreed with Matt as she put her hand on his face and took things nice and slow with her boyfriend, the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I promise. But I think we might just stay in bed." Matt agreed, as that's something he loves the idea of. Of a day in bed.

So much so, that he kissed Alex again and just smirked. "I'll be back soon, okay?" Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling as that's something that she most certainly does know; just like she knows that she's not going to be staying up here. Rather, she plans on going downstairs so that she can be with her man like she wants to be. She wants to be with the man she loves, as he holds her close to him in the kitchen; something that they both want more than anything in the entire world. They both want to hold each other close and just cuddle up to each other anywhere they can. And right now, they're going to do that while the dogs are outside; with Matt just wearing his tight boxers and her wearing a sexy little bathrobe that she already knows Matt is going to love. And how does she know that? Because it really turned him on last night when she wore it, ahead of them coming upstairs to bed and making love to each other. And god, it truly was the best love making session that they've ever had simply due to the fact that they were alone in bed. And even better, they didn't have to hide. All they had to do was be together as they held each other close in the comfort of their bed.

Because that's what this bed here is now, it's their bed; the bed where they plan on spending the rest of their lives holding and showing love to each other. The place where Matt is going to become a father for real some day, when he gets her pregnant in the comfort of their bed; and that day can't come soon enough, as she knows that Matt wants to be a father more than anything based on how much she knows him. But for now, she's just okay with them dating and being together; and that's due to the fact that he's the only man that she can see herself being with. He's the man she loves, and the only man that she wants to spend the rest of her life with; she wants to spend every morning by his side as they cuddle in the kitchen together, just like they're about to do this morning. And that all starts with her getting out of bed, grabbing her little robe, and heading downstairs where she and Matt can enjoy some coffee and breakfast together; ahead of them coming back upstairs and enjoying a bunch of sexy time with each other in their room. And that isn't just limited to their bed, as she's open to also taking a nice bath or a shower with her man; always will be.
