New evolution
Kelly participated in the reception of the new members and did some work on behalf of Finley.
They were all extremely kind to her especially Professor Finley, together they drank tea that the professor had sent from India and talked about Kelly's childhood and the new projects for the New Evolution.
Sometimes Brandon's thought found the strength to re-emerge and confused Kelly, but Finley knew exactly what to say, he was a denier, he wanted her stuck in old life while Kelly was ready to take flight.
However, every afternoon she felt more tired, groggy, slept for a long time and had frequent headaches.
The doctor had examined her and given him some pills to take that Kelly diligently took.
Jackie had come to talk to her, but Kelly had only allowed her in once, reassured her that she was fine and that she was finally living the life she wanted to live.
Jackie had never been an authoritarian woman. Brandon perhaps worried too much and this was just a whim of Kelly probably to challenge his authority.
Valerie's hotel
Valerie was in a bathrobe on the bed. Ray was buttoning his pants.
"This thing has to end," he said.
Valerie bent her knees and stood up. .
"Sorry, but this is my hotel room and I don't think I pointed the gun at you. You're the one who comes looking for me."
She was right. From that time in her office, Ray lived a double life, the immaculate one with Donna and the murky one with Valerie and by paradox he needed both lives.
But he felt bad anyway.
There was something indecipherable about Valerie that he knew would bring him trouble, he was giving her excessive power.
Valerie could have talked, told Donna everything, she could not have let him play in her club anymore.
On the other side sex with Valerie was free, she emptied him, relaxed him and he could better control the anger, that tight dress that Donna wanted to sewn on him and that he felt made it explode.
"Listen," Valerie said, opening the door to the waiter, "I ordered food, why you don't spend a few hours here with me and let's try to get to know each other a little better."
Ray shook his head, he didn't feel like it, he was tempted to grab the cart with both hands and overturn it to the ground. He put on his shirt, opened the door, leaving Valerie standing in the middle of the room.
Orange County
Dylan, Brenda and Brandon arrived in front of Christine Platere's house.
A country house, with the white seasoned.
Brandon knocked on the door and behind him were Brenda and Dylan.
It opened a petite girl with honey-colored hair.
"Christine?" Brandon began "hi my name is Brandon Walsh, and these are my sister Brenda and Dylan McKay, we are from California University"
Only hearing the name of California University, Christine immediately got nervous and tried to close the door.
"Wait Christine, please we just need to ask you a few questions"
"Please leave me alone, I don't want to deal with that university anymore"
Brandon hadn't gone all that way for nothing.
"Please Christine is really important, my girlfriend is in the new evolution and she is with Finley now"
"I'm sorry for you and for her" Christine closed the door leaving Brandon, Brenda and Dylan out.
Brenda took courage. She knocked again.
"Christine, I'm Brenda, it's obvious that this story is very painful for you and we're sorry to have come this far, but I would like you to think that you have a chance to save Kelly and all the girls who are there right now. Please talk to us. Let us at least understand."
Moments of silence followed.
Brenda looked at Brandon and then Dylan.
"Maybe it's better to go," Dylan whispered.
As soon as they turned around they heard the door opened.
House on the beach
Donna was waiting for Ray, they had a date, he said he wanted to surprise her. Lately things had improved a lot, since he played at the Pit and was less frustrated about his career as a musician.
Donna put on some lipstick. She hoped Ray wouldn't judge it as excessive and that it wouldn't ruin the day. She looked in the mirror and then decided to take it off with a handkerchief, maybe it was her fault, maybe she could give up some things as long as it didn't ruin the relationship with him.
Someone was at the door, the florist brought a bouquet of deep red roses. Woman was surprised, who had sent her those flowers? Ray? Ray had brought her pumpkins, a Christmas tree, he had written a song for her but he had never given her flowers.
Donna opened the white ticket and found the inscription "from a secret admirer". SHe really had no idea who it could be, the flowers were really beautiful and they had to be quite expensive too.
She decided to put them in the water in the middle of the table.
She looked at them for a long time.. who could have sent them to her?
She decided not to say anything, she feared that the presence of this admirer could ruin her evening with Ray as It could be ruined By the lipstick she had erased.
Donna had seen in the right direction, when Ray entered he saw the flowers but he looked like someone who had no idea. He hadn't sent them.
Donna looked at them the last time then closed the front door.
Orange county
"There are three stages" Christine had overcome the embarrassment, she looked like she was looking forward to telling someone what had happened to her "Finley selects her own students. He is very crafty, he is a manipulator, he chooses people with a fragile mind and possibly a weak family net" Christine took a break "like me. He is very good with words, he is good as a psychotherapist, but all he has to do is get them closer to the New Evolution and the first step begins them: isolation. The personal family network is practically eliminated and if he finds resistance Finley destroys the perception of what the subject has around him."
Brandon nodded, that was exactly what had happened to Kelly.
Brenda looked at Dylan, he took her hand. They feared how the story would continue.
"The second step is conversion. The subject is incorporated into the members and the organizational structure has a hierarchical system. You are valued, gratified, you have a familiar net again, and in the name of the family they convince you to do anything."
Christine was getting nervous, torturing her hands and keeping her eyes down.
Brenda left Dylan's hand and went to sit next to her taking Christine's hands between her own.
Christine breathed a long sigh.
"The third step is sacrifice."
The word sacrifice frightened Brandon.
Meetings are organized with wealthy men. There is... there is..." Christine began to stutter, grabbed Brenda's hand and then started again as the crying could no longer be held back "there is a room with mirrored glass. The girls are put there and are chosen by men in exchange for money. Not just men, but also couples," Christine pointed out. The money goes to Finley and to New Evolution"
"Oh my God," Brenda said, bringing her hands to her mouth.
Christine looked at her briefly.
"Do you mean he makes them prostitute?" Dylan asked.
"Not all of them, it depends on what position you occupy in the hierarchy and how much they have taken of their will."
Christine looked at the three in front of her.
"Listen. I know it sounds incredible to you, but Finley is able to annihilate the will, and I really believed I was useful to the cause. For some time I was among her favorites, a chosen one, no one was allowed to touch me they could only watch me, and God knows what these men were doing beyond that glass. Then, I stopped being one of his favorites..."
Brandon was upset he couldn't put a single thought together.
"But..." Dylan asked "but why didn't you talk to the police once you got out of it"
"You don't get it," she replied, shaking her head, "part of those men are judges and cops... they come in for free and that's why when I got out I never filed a complaint, I didn't know who was in front of me."
"How..." Brandon asked, looking at Christine, " how did you get out?"
"My father pretended to be one of those men and bought me, by now Finley was tired of me, and he knew I wasn't going to talk. No one talks, because you don't really get out of those places, freedom is enough for you."
The harshness of Christine's tale had upset everyone.
"But didn't they recognize him? How did he get in?"
"Everyone wears a mask, even girls, an animal mask... wolves, dogs, tigers..."
Brandon looked down then raised them towards her.
Dylan cleared his voice "how much does it cost to get in?"
"20 thousand dollars every night"
"Can your father tell us how to get in?" Brandon turned to Dylan, immediately understood what he wanted to do and Brenda understood it too.
Peach Pit after Dark
David was in Valerie's office compiling the schedule for the week. It was Valerie who asked him, he knew how to do this job and she hated to admit it but she liked having him around her.
David hadn't let himself be prayed, the world of music always fascinated him, he would have liked to be part of it but it hadn't gone well, maybe the world of production and talent scouts could have fit to him more, and then he also liked to have Valerie around, to be with her when she wasn't angry. He knew he had hurt her, he knew that she was now wary of him, that she was hostile to him, but something in her eyes had totally conquered him and he had never been able to let her go.
"Here it is" he told her handing her the programming "to Ray I left on Saturday night, people come to see it, but on Monday ... I thought I'd join this group"
"... after we've auditioned"
David smiled "I already have the alternative in case they don't go well."
Valerie dedicated a smile to him.
"Thank you"
David looked around "you didn't stop for a moment today, would you like to take a break and have a drink?"
Valerie looked at him in a dubious way.
"As friends," he pointed out.
Valerie nodded, he got up and poured two drinks.
"What happened to Brandon and the others?"
Valerie took a sip and then looked at David "how long have you not seen Kelly?" She asked him.
"Why? What does Kelly have to do with it?"
Valerie smiled "they're trying to convince her to let Professor Finley go, and you should look around a little more."
David totally ignored the problems his half-sister was facing, the Pit had absorbed his energies, and campus TV, and Valerie, and the problems she caused him.
"I've been a little distracted lately," he replied mischievously.
Valerie noticed, that little bit of alcohol was dissolving the bridle of her brain.
Their eyes were burning in each other, David brought his lips closer to Valerie's, it didn't take long for the kiss to become more intense, and it was no longer alcohol, it was the two of them.
Valerie broke the kiss, he was too special for her to have sex with us as he had done with Daniel, as he did with Ray. She didn't want to dirty it.
"Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have," he whispered with his lips an inch from hers.
"Maybe not," she replied without walking away.
David got up, looked at her, and then opened the door to leave.
New evolution home
Kelly looked in the mirror but didn't really see her.
Something was missing inside her and she was getting lost forever.
She wore a pair of black lace panties and a sheer fabric robe with red floral designs.
Her hair was gathered.
Her breasts are clearly visible. The white skin. The light trick.
She didn't have the will to say no. The new evolution needed her to fight the deniers.
Finley came in at that moment and looked at her with eager eyes, Finley knew he couldn't have her, his whole lower part was paralyzed but he wished he had her at another time. Kelly was a flower that was not to be wasted.
"You're wonderful," he said, taking her by the hand.
Kelly was confused, could not understand and had no will. It was an emptied automaton.
"My head hurts," she said.
He didn't take his eyes off her body.
"It's the negative energies that are abandoning your body," he said, "it's a process you have to go through to free yourself.
Kelly had insisted on keeping the bandage on her arm but no longer remembered the injuries behind her back now reduced to a reddened patch.
"Tomorrow is our big day," Finley told her.
Kelly shifted her gaze on him.
"You cannot be touched by anyone other than me, you are not like the others, you are the chosen one, and tomorrow we will consecrate our union"
Kelly smiled weakly.
"You'll be a wonderful bride, more than you already are now" Douglas walked in at that moment, they accompanied Kelly and the other girls to the crystal room, and Finley gave orders that Kelly could not be bought by anyone.
Dylan paid 20,000 for him, Brandon and Brenda.
"It's going to be like getting on stage," he said, winking at Brenda. She gave him a kiss and smiled at him.
They wore masks and cloaks.
"Brandon try not to talk, someone might recognize you"
Brandon nodded his head.
"Dylan?" Brandon said.
"Yes?"
"I don't know how I'm going to do it but I'll give you the money back"
"Don't worry about this now"
They wore masks and dressed in very elegant clothes as required by protocol.
They followed all the path that Christine's father had shown them.
Brandon immediately recognized the masked man at the entrance.
Douglas, Brandon thought, stupid son of a bitch.
They were all made to sit in a circular room with large mirrors in the center.
None of them spoke.
As soon as the lights went out, Brenda took Dylan's hand, they had to play a husband and wife with extravagant sexual fantasies. The mirrors in the center of the room opened and you could see the girls. People began to turn until they found the one they liked the most and the auction would begin to win the girl.
Finley was not there. A man in a wheelchair would have been easily recognizable.
There was only Douglas.
Brandon started turning until he found her.
Kelly was half naked, her breasts clearly visible, a thong, a sheer robe. The look totally turned off.
Brandon would have liked to scream. He felt himself dying. Brenda and Dylan caught up with him and so did Douglas.
"This girl is not for sale, she's the chosen one," he said.
Kelly looked drugged, groggy. She didn't see them while they saw her. It looked like she was singing a song, a lullaby.
Brandon closed his eyes, hoped it would all end quickly.
"FBI! No one comes out of this room" the cries were loud, about twenty men came in in black uniforms.
Brandon, Dylan and Brenda were petrified.
