Setg-in made his way through the woods. Still hoping he could get to the two remaining bad bloods before they wandered onto Thea's property.
As he made his way north, he paused and crouched down. He caught someone's heat signature just up ahead. They were currently up in a tree and looking around as they slowly made their way through them.
As Setg-in zoomed in, he realized it was the other Youngblood, Ghardeh. Though he was not as young as Kalakta and was more experienced than the one he just defeated.
Ghardeh was not as impulsive as Kalakta and more calculating. He was also one to watch out for, because he noted during training, that he liked to pull out cheap tricks during a fight against his opponent.
The leader, Vor'metka can be the same way, as far as cheap and dirty moves go.
Setg-in quietly stalked the young bad blood from below trying to get closer before being spotted. He did take Kalakta's shoulder cannon once he killed him.
But he will only utilize it when needed. For now, he rather fight his opponents than blow them out of the trees.
Ghardeh stopped on a sturdy branch and looked around once more. So far, he still didn't see anything in the trees. So, he scanned around on the ground again.
As he did, he thought he saw bushes swaying or moving in the corner of his vision off to his left. When he whipped his head around to look, that is when he saw Setg-in quickly throw a shuriken his way from behind some bushes below.
Ghardeh quickly jumped down from the tree just as the shuriken whizzed past him and sliced through a good portion of the branch he was just on.
As it returned, he barely dodged it in time again. Only this time, the shuriken did slice through his right arm on the way back to Setg-in. Some bright green blood dribbled from the fresh gash in his arm.
The bad blood snarled at his opponent. Then he whipped out his smart disc and threw it at Setg-in.
Setg-in quickly dove out of the way of the deadly disc as it cut through some thin, gangly tree trunks behind him with ease. He then turned around, whipping out his spear gun and took aim.
He shot at the disc as it circled around, destroying it in the process.
When he turned back around to face the bad blood, he barely had enough time to pull out his combi stick when Ghardeh came at him with his wrist blades.
"Figured, out of all the places you'd be hiding is this backwater mudball." Ghardeh spat, as he continued trying to slash Setg-in with his blades.
Setg-in didn't answer him, just kept blocking and parrying whatever hits were coming his way.
He eventually used his combi stick to knock the serrated blades away and then sliced the sharp end of the combi stick across his lower, unprotected abdomen.
The gash wasn't very deep, but enough for Ghardeh to let out a small, pained grunt that turned into an annoyed growl.
He suddenly unsheathed another pair of wrist blades on his other hand and took a swipe at Setg-in with them. Then caught the upper part of his thigh and left a couple of gashes.
Setg-in shrugged off the pain though and moved away.
The bad blood crouched down with his arms outstretched staying on guard. While his opponent was carefully thinking of a new tactic on how to get to him without getting badly sliced up or stabbed.
Setg-in continued to hold his combi stick in front of him and circled. Eventually, Ghardeh lost some patience and charged at him.
The older warrior parried, blocked, and deflected the blades as they came at him. He used a couple of the trees and jumped off the side of the trunks until he reached another small boulder to his right.
He went to jump on top of it, but the bad blood slammed into him from behind, making him lose his footing.
Setg-in fell forward but quickly rolled until he got to his feet. Ghardeh still seemed to be coming in hot and heavy. Until the bad blood had him cornered against a tree.
He raised one hand and thrusted his wrist blades forward. Setg-in quickly side stepped and jammed his combi stick deep into the bad bloods side.
Ghardeh roared in pain and tried to take another swipe at him. But the older warrior unsheathed his wrist blades and quickly plunged them into the side of the bad blood's unprotected head.
The body spasmed a little as he viciously rammed the blades through.
Then when he jerked the blades back out, bright blood and some brain matter came out with them. Blood continued spurting from the twin holes as Ghardeh's body dropped to the ground.
Back with Thea...
For a while it was very quiet.
Until she heard what sounded like a roar not too far from her home in the nearby woods. She gripped the plasma pistol that Setg-in left her. Thea hoped that wasn't him.
The young woman didn't hear anything after that, and it went back to being quiet. Until she thought she saw a shadow move just beyond one of the small windows that lined the finished off basement.
She had the lights turned out down there. Despite the fact that she knew it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. Because they would be able to see her with the different vision modes in their mask and they could see heat signatures in the dark without too much of an issue.
The individual still continued to move about outside on her lawn.
Thea kept trying to watch them as best as she could, which would get difficult when they disappeared out of sight beyond the windows.
After a couple minutes she didn't hear or see anything. She let out a sigh of relief, thinking they may have moved on. A small part of her hoped it was Setg-in. But if it were, she doesn't know why he would be idling about outside in her backyard.
She didn't have time to ponder on it, when there was a loud explosion and a bright flash of light as something burst through the doors that led out of the basement and hit the floor.
The aftershocks from the blast blew everything back quite a bit, including her. Thea was thrown into the cinderblock wall and hit it with a pained grunt, before sliding down to the floor.
The young woman laid there in pain struggling to get to her hands and knees at first.
She froze when she saw a yautja that clearly wasn't Setg-in came walking in through the opening.
His skin was a creamy yellowish color and he looked like he was a little taller than her hunter. As he slowly looked around the area, Thea realized she had dropped the plasma pistol and rapidly looked around for it.
Thea spotted it not five feet away to her left among some debris.
She tried to make her way over to it from where she was behind the tipped over recliner. She also tried to keep her eyes on the warrior who was currently looking the other way.
The young woman's gaze averted back to the pistol as she carefully reached out to grab it. Only to pull her hand back with a startled yelp as something sharp and metallic suddenly became embedded into the floor between her outstretched hand and the plasma gun.
Thea's gaze quickly shifted to the warrior, only to see him slowly pulling back his outstretched arm.
"Knew you there all along." He said to her in a deep gravelly voice.
Unlike Setg-in's voice which was rather smooth. This guy sounded like he was talking as he gargled gravel.
She froze when he started making his way over. A part of her so badly wanted to run. But she was afraid he'd either throw another shuriken or his combi stick at her, shoot at her, or just flat out catch her.
"What do you want!? What are you doing here!?" She blurted out.
He paused in his tracks and tilted his masked face at her.
"Know he stay here. Tracked his scent to dwellings. I know he come back here. Especially, if have you." He said.
The bad blood stalked closer to her.
Thea shakily stood up, feeling exposed without some kind of weapon to defend herself with. But then, it may not do her any good. These guys were most likely fifty times stronger and faster than her.
Still, she tried to move away and keep her distance from him as she rounded the recliner. The opening where the shattered doors were, were not too far from where she was.
But he watched her every move.
And quicker than she could imagine, he advanced on her and shot his arm out. She yelped and gasped as she felt a large hand wrap around her throat and pull her off of the ground.
Vor'metka held her up and studied the small ooman female.
"You smell of him ooman. Setg-in at least have good taste. Only thing good at." The bad blood said.
"Le...let go." She gasped.
The bad blood jerked his arm and pulled her in closer to his badly banged up mask that had more scratches and dents than she could count.
"Will see what he sees in you, ooman. Will take myself. After I kill him." Vor'metka said, with a dark grin.
He had his fair share of alien females. But has yet to try out an ooman female.
If the traitor was fucking her, she must be a good lay. And he was eager to see that for himself after he confronts Setg-in and kills him. Then he will leave this pathetic back water planet with the ooman female afterwards.
After he heard Ghardeh's roar in the woods, Vor'metka had an idea that he met his end. He and Kalakta were still quite young and not all that experienced. And he knew there was a big chance that an older and more experienced warrior like Setg-in could've taken them out.
At least he saved him the trouble of getting rid of the two useless fucks himself. They pretty much grew out of their usefulness long ago. Especially, after they were callous enough to let Setg-in slip into the cargo hold and destroy all the kainde amedha eggs.
Only when Thea's face started turning bright red, did he finally release his hold on her throat.
She dropped to the debris covered floor in a heap, coughing and gasping for air. The young woman wasn't down for long when he hauled her up by the back of her neck and started dragging her to the busted doorway that led outside.
"Dammit! Let go of me!" She snapped, as she struggled in his hold.
"Shut up, whore." He barked.
The bad blood hauled her out onto the grass and dragged her through the yard.
Then Vor'metka stopped and turned briefly. He activated his shoulder cannon once more then to her horror; he shot off a few blasts into her house. There were mini explosions as they made contact and went through the outer layer of the home.
Some windows exploded from the aftershocks of the plasma blasts and already she could see small fires starting up inside as some smoke billowed out of the holes in the sides.
The bastard shot off at least four shots into the home. Before he turned his attention back into the woods in front of them, while he still had a grip on Thea.
He then let out a loud roar to get Setg-in's attention and send him running. If he truly cared at all about this little ooman female, then he'll be here soon enough.
Setg-in heard the small explosions coming from his left and he saw some smoke start to stretch to the sky coming from the same direction Thea's home was. Then he heard a roar.
The young hunter knew who it was. It was that slimy bastard, Vor'metka and he knew the roar meant he was challenging him.
It sadly also meant that Thea was either captured by the bad blood or...worse.
The dark green yautja clenched his fists and shook his head. No, if he knew Vor'metka as well as he did, he knew the sadistic prick would have her alive, if not to dangle her in front of him.
The bad blood enjoyed doing things like that. He loved taunting his prey and enemies with something they hold dear, right before he killed them.
Setg-in growled and sprinted through the woods, gunning towards to where Thea and his enemy was. His worst fears confirmed, she was in the hands of that bad blood.
And he needed to get to her right away.
Until Next Time ;)
