Chapter Three: Suddenly You Love Me

Cubby's POV

Right now, inside Studio A, everyone even myself was warming up for the auditions that are about to start.

Pirate Princess's POV

"What do you think of this whole Challenge?" I asked.

"It's okay, just kill it!" Stormy told me.

"You too, girl good luck." I said.

"You, too stormy said back.

Bart's POV

As i saw Catboy run to Owlette, he started to speak to her

"Owlette! Yo, Owlette, what's up?" Catboy asked.

"I'm so excited!" Catboy exclaimed with excitement.

"Oh, Owlette! Oh, my god, Owlette!" Catboy said as he tried to put his hands on Owlette's shoulders, which Owlette moves her shoulders to get his hands off her.

"Do you think I have a shot?" Catboy asked.

"Ah, maybe, maybe yeah." Owlette answered as Jake placed a hand on my shoulder for reassuring.

"Really? I've been practicing so hard I'm so ready." Catboy exclaimed.

"Yeah. Oh yeah, Bart we should put our stuff away." Owlette told me.

"Yeah good idea. Bye catboy." I said as I was leaving.

"Owlette, get over here?!" I yelled.

Owlette's POV

"Oh right, coming my love. Good luck, Catboy" I said leaving him alone.

"Oh, all right. Yeah bye and good luck as well." Catboy told me.

I'm a little concerned, that catboy is going to make it into Troupe A. That means if he does make it then I'm going down to hear that voice everyday. I am going to make a reminder to myself to bring noise canceling headphones.

Cubby's POV

"I really nervous for these auditions." I said to my girlfriend Stormy who was warming up with me.

"Why though? Aren't you excited?" Stormy wanted to know.

I'm feeling a little bit weird about this whole Stormy/Ryan thing. I just hope it doesn't affect my audition.

"Cubby, you're an amazing dancer, don't be down on yourself." Stormy told me.

"Oh come on please come on. But still..." I said.

"Exactly." Stormy exclaimed.

"...I don't want to mess up." I said.

"You won't mess up Cubby, be confident." Stormy assured.

John's POV

"Hi Skye!" I said to the girl as I was walking over to her.

"Oh, hi John." Skye exclaimed.

"Why haven't I seen you before? Are you a recreational dancer?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh no, actually my schedule won nationals a few years ago. But.. we didn't make it this year. I really liked it there." Skye explained.

It would be in my best interest to psych Skye out so she doesn't dance her fullest.

"So, did you lose at regionals but want to go to Nationals? But still running like your studio. So why are you here?" I wanted to know.

"Well, I feel like I deserve to go to Nationals this year, so I came to audition." Skye told me.

This new girl looks like she's working really hard and probably does deserve to be here. But that doesn't mean I'm happy that she is here.

"That's cute, good luck with that." I said as I walked away from her.

"Erm, thank you?" Skye answered.

Jake's POV

Peter, Coralie Izzy and I were standing in front That's when Peter started to speak.

"Okay everyone, it's time!" Peter exclaimed while we all cheered with excitement.

"Round one for auditions it for the Nationals team yeah. Auditions are going to work on like this, we are going to have you guys each do a solo first. Then we will cut it down to 20 go to choreo. after you do choreo, we know it down to 12 people which makes our Nationals team. So, let's have everyone spread out to the side." Peter explained all of the rules as everyone started to spread out to the side as I had the clipboard in my hands.

"So, we have room for the solos. In soloist we are looking for someone, factor that you could throw up on the stage at Nationals and it would bring the house down.

The music started to play.

The song they were dancing to was Love story by Taylor Swift (TikTok remix)

The first person to go up was Cubby. Everyone was cheering watching him dance his solo.

The next person to go with Ryan, as he did it his head slide. After Ryan went, it was Bart's turn. And I got to say, he's doing better than he did last year. Owlette was the next person to go. And by the way she was dancing I was amazed. I think she's becoming more confident in herself. The next person was James and he was doing amazing as well I'm not going to lie on this one. The next person was Catboy, and unfortunately he's doing a really good much better than last year for Regionals. I wonder if he took a good boy pills this morning. the next person after him was Marina. And as much as I had to admit this but Marina dancing is pretty well. But I'm just saying that I got slap in the head by my girlfriend. Luke was the next person to go and he was amazing. Skye was doing incredible. John was next he was slacking a bit. The next person was Ben and she's a J-Trouper. And by the way of her moves, she's doing fantastic she's only up every trick that we don't even know how to do.

The next person was Kenzie, who was also a J- Trooper. And she's also doing fantastic. Kenzie, was also pulling out tricks that we all couldn't do. And she is doing fantastic as well. We were all cheering and in shock.

Finn was next. But he was also slacking as well.

Story was the next person to go, and us the original Troupe A, are really putting it out on the dance floor.

Misty the wonderful witch was next, she was doing awesome. Lisa was next after her and to our surprise she was rocking it.

"Yeah, whoo hoo, go Lisa, go Lisa, go go, go Lisa!" I heard Izzy say.

We're the dancers that won Regionals you think you can challenge us for one of our spots? Bring it on!" Lisa told the other dancers.

Is that still no auditions were over and everyone clapped and cheered for Lisa.

"Peter are you crying?" I asked.

"No. Anyway, amazing job everyone thank you so much that was awesome. All of you definitely bought it to the next level. I'm proud of each and every one of you." Peter said.

"I'm so happy!" Coralie exclaimed.

Peter's POV

"Okay, we need to sit and think about this for a little bit so...er just hang out and we'll get back to you soon. Thank you so much you guys." I told them as they all clapped their hands.

As we walked into my office I sat down I sat down on my awesome chair, and placed my feet on the table.

"I really thought nothing could talk our Regionals team. But after seeing some of those dancers, I...I can't say I say the same." Jake said

"Wow!" Izzy exclaimed.

"You can say that again." Jake told her.

"Okay! Wow hahaha." Izzy said it again.

"There's no way we're going to be able to narrow it down to 12." I exclaimed.

"I don't even know how we're going to do that as well so what are we going to do guys?" Coralie asked.

"Hopefully the choreography will weed a few out." Jake assured us.

"Oh, it will." Coralie said.

"Okay." Jake answered with a smile.

All right now, Izzy, Coralie, Jake and I or deciding the 20 dancers who will move on to the Challenge.

"Yeah, Cubby with his ankle I didn't even notice." Coralie said.

"At all he was perfect." I told her.

"Yeah he was. Our little matey is growing up." Jake said as he was now crying.

Finn's POV

Oh man, if I don't make it to Nationals team, I don't mean and nothing except sadness, disappointment, and another emotion that I probably won't enjoy..

Bart's POV

It's the first time that never dance has gone to Nationals in over 10 years. It will also be my first time going to Nationals and I'm so excited I've never been there before. Let's just talk Catboy doesn't get in the way, or goes near my cute little adorable Owlette. So it's pretty much means everything from me to make the Nationals team.

Izzy's POV

"Marina I mean..." Peter said as he immediately covered his mouth.

"I'm a fan of Marina's." Coralie told us with excitement

"...she was great." Peter exclaimed.

"Okay, I'm going to say it right now and I'm only going to say this once she is just going to cause us trouble." I told him.

"Babe, well let's at least allow her to go to the next round." Jake told his girlfriend.

"Yeah, you're right Jake." Izzy answered.

Kenzie's POV

As Ben and I walked over to Ben and Zoey, Sam started to ask a question.

"How did the auditions go? Sam asked.

"It was amazing." Ben answered

"Yeah, it was!" I told him.

"We tried our best." Ben exclaimed.

"It was the best time I ever did that combo." I told them all.

Jake's POV

"Kenzie and Ben are beyond amazing but they're too young." Izzy said.

"But that's the thing." Both Coralie and I said.

"...is that I think that they're too young but their technique is flawless." Coralie told us.

"And honestly..." I said.

"Unbelievable." Coralie exclaimed.

"Better than a lot of the Troupe A dancers.

"That's what I'm saying, Peter." Coralie told him.

"The one that we do need to talk about is Ryan." Peter said as my eyes went wide in shock.

"Uh, Peter? Why do we need to talk about him?" I wanted to know.

"Well, I know that Stormy and Ryan have some history and it could be a little bit awkward. If he joined the Troupe but..." Peter said.

"Matters of the heart." Coralie told him.

"Yes!" Peter answered.

"But, I will leave that up to Stormy. She can decide if she wants Ryan in the top 20." Peter explained.

"I will tell her Peter don't worry she's my best friend." Izzy said.

I just don't want anything to get in the way of our team winning regionals. But...if we can do that...it might be worth it.

Jake's POV

Coralie Izzy, Peter and I come out to tell everyone the 20 of the people that have made it into the next round.

"Okay we have picked the 20 people that will go onto the next round." Peter said while holding the clipboard.

"I now have the list of who made the first cut." Peter exclaimed.

"You were all so fantastic, it made our decision extremely hard. Just keep researching for the stars because not only astronaut can have stars you can have your very own star too." Coralie told them.

Everyone is now confused by what Coralie just said.

"Okay." Owlette answered.

"Yes, well, thank you yeah." Peter said.

"Erm...let's do this!" Peter exclaimed.

"In our 20 we have...Izzy and her boyfriend Jake." Peter exclaimed

"Cubby, and Bart!" Peter said as Cubby and Bart cheered and clapped their hands.

"Ryan." Peter announced as we all clapped.

"Owlette, Bart, Catboy, Misty, Finn, Lisa, Pirate Princess, Cubby's girlfriend Stormy, and Marina." Peter announced which no one clapped apart from Stormy and Coralie.

"Oh yeah we have Luke, Tess and Jacquie and who are from the same studio. We also have Ben and Kenzie." Peter said as we all clapped.

The J-Troupers are surpassing all Jake's expectations.

"Okay, and the final two spots...go...to...John and Skye." Peter exclaimed.

Everyone cheered amd clapped.

"Guys, give yourselves a round of applause." Peter said as they all did.

Nearly everyone hugs everyone.

"For those of you who didn't make it I'm sorry. Please grab your stuff and make your way towards the exit, I would be appreciated, thank you." Peter told the people who left that didn't get in.

Owlette's POV

Right now, in studio A, we we're currently meditating to clear our minds and thoughts.

"Ahh isn't this nice? Feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper and deeper into the ground. You're a tree-among three in a vast. You feel your branches getting taller any longer stretching up towards the sky. You also feel the cloud wind against your bark.

Right now, we are all...meditating? With Coralie.

"Now, a little bird comes and lands on your branch.

"And then, the little bird says...

"Chirp-chirp." Bart exclaimed pretending to be the little bird.

"And you don't speak bird but you know what he's saying.

All of a sudden, we heard the gong while we looked at Peter.

"Peter, you've gonged before it was time." Coralie told him.

""Coralie, let's go." Peter said.

"I wasn't done!" Coralie yelled as we all stood up.

"Anyway, today is choreo day." Coralie said.

Coralie's POV

All of a sudden Bart and Finn start talking while interesting me.

"The second final cut auditi..." i said as i then turned around to face Bart and Finn.

"Excuse me?!" I screamed as they both looked around as they stopped talking.

"Did I tell you that you boys can speak? There will be no speaking while I'm teaching choreo do you understand?" I asked as the boys as they nodded their heads really fast.

"Yes, ma'am!" They all said.

"So when we are in this room, and I am teaching choreo I don't want to hear a peep. We, came here to dance yes, or no?" I wanted to know.

"Yes." Everyone said but quietly.

"Excuse me?" I exclaimed.

"YES MA'AM!" They all shouted.

"That's better." I said while my arms were folded.

"Oh, goof I'm glad we understand each other better. Now, let's start." I said as we were all dancing to "Give Your Heart A Break," by Demi Lovato."

"Okay, watch me. 5, 6, 7, 8..." I said while showing them the dance.

Jake's POV

"This goes, 1, 2, 3, 4... Turn 5, 6...hit it. 7, 8." Coralie said.

1, 2, up, up, down, Chaines pitch, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 5, 6, 7, 8..." Coralie told them while counting each step.

Everyone is struggling to pick up the choreo.

"Cortana Bean is actually really hard but it has to be. If you guys want to win Nationals, power routine has to be 10 times better than it was at Regionals." Coralie explained.

The choreo was over as everyone fell to the ground.

"So now, you all know the choreo." Coralie exclaimed.

"You have 30 minutes.and then we're going to all come back here and it's going to be the Final Cut." Coralie exclaimed while we all nodded our heads

"Okay, namaste." Coralie called us as we were confused.

"Namaste?" We all questioned.

I just hope everyone can keep up this during auditions for Nationals so we'll see what happens. Anyway, after this round I wouldn't be surprised if some of our original Troupe A members didn't make the cut. So, if they can't keep up, bye bye.
