After the episode at Fengyue Tower ended, Marika continued to wander aimlessly on the street, pondering over the experience she had just witnessed.
Marika originally thought that the four major families might not be as bad as Long Doutian, but she was no longer so sure. If the mushas at the lower level all act like the man in the restaurant, then she can't imagine what the mushas at the upper level look like.
The four schools in this world, like the nobles in her world, treat the common people as playthings. Marika's world is the Middle Ages where warlords and kings compete for dominance, so it's understandable that the aristocracy takes first over the peasants. But when the same social structure appeared in this peaceful modern society, it seemed extremely deformed to Marika.
Ordinary people must rely on the kindness of mushas rather than the law to uphold justice for them, and judging from the cold expressions of the other mushas in the tavern today, Marika has little hope for their kindness.
