24 Favs and 29 Follows along with 12 reviews, thank you all so much. Your support means the world to me! I do have to say I'm sorry that this story is a bit of a mess at times as I have so many ideas for it, but I didn't plan it out as well as I should of…meaning I didn't plan much out as I'm working as I go. I'm planning out my next two stories a lot better so hopefully they will be much neater and a lot better. One of them is something I normally won't do as I have a lot of stuff on my plate already, but it was a request that I really did kind of like the idea of so I'm going to do it for JBlaser. Also, I was trying to figure out a certain part coming up soon with Alya, but a suggestion from Idea/s helped that so thank you. Anyways, thank you all for your support and if you like the story, please leave a review.

"Are you really going tonight, Marinette?" Tikki asked as Marinette finished her last croissant, a look of distaste on her face with how old and stale it had gotten. Tikki herself had finished a cookie herself already, a couple left in case of emergencies. If things went well though, there would be no more emergencies though that left a whole other load of problems. If everything went well, there would be no more need of Chat Noir which meant she should collect his ring. A part of her wasn't too sure if she could bring herself to do it though as Tikki had told her that it had been centuries that the pair had found perfect holders like Adrien and Marinette who was like family to them. She wasn't too sure she could rip Plagg from Adrien, even if she wasn't really all that happy with him right now.
"Yeah, and I think I know what to do about Adrien's dad. I just want…another opinion on it." Marinette said, hesitating a little. She really wasn't ready for this, but this was a huge deal and she felt she needed to see if what she had planned was the right thing to do. She wasn't sure if she should trust her own judgement and feelings on the matter with how she had been feeling since she created her charm. Since it cracked though she had been feeling bursts of anger and resentment at times which was starting to scare her as it confirmed that the charm was doing more than advertised. Or at least more that what Tikki told her about, though Marinette had a feeling it was her fault as the kwami warned her to keep a clear mind and focus on the charm she was creating. Something clearly went wrong and it scared her a little, though she wouldn't admit it to Tikki if she could help it. There was no point in worrying her little friend.
"I thought you didn't trust anyone anymore." Tikki said, not trying to be offensive, just curious.
"I don't, not really. The closest person I think I can even come close to putting any trust in is Luka." Marinette sighed as she pulled her hoodie on and pulled the hood up.
"I think you can trust him, Marinette." Tikki said as she zipped into the girl's pocket before Marinette left to find the boy. It was easy to admit that she messed up not giving the boy a proper chance because of her crush on Adrien, though she couldn't really admit the real reason she was reluctant to face him. She knew she hurt him and she didn't want to hurt him anymore by going to him and giving him false hope. If things were different, she could see things maybe working out between them. She didn't deserve that chance and she deffinately didn't deserve Luka, no matter what anyone else might say.
It didn't take too long to get to the house boat Luka, along with his mother and sister lived. It was docked at the same place it usually was and she slowly stepped onboard and noticed the pots of roses spread out along the edge of the deck. They were beautiful, red and black ones growing together which made Marinette give a slight smile at. She had a feeling Luka was behind it to honor Ladybug.
"What are you doing?" An angry voice startled Marinette and drew her attention to Juleka who was dressed in her usual goth like attire though she looked tired, if a bit angry.
"I was just admiring your roses." Marinette said, trying to make her voice sound gruffer as she shrunk down a little trying to hide even more in her hood and behind the scarf. "I'm guessing Luka planted them for Ladybug."
"I planted them in honor of someone I looked up to and failed." Juleka said, her eyes visibly watering as the girl looked down. Marinette could hardly believe the girl opposite her was the same one she knew before she jumped. Gone was the shy attitude as she was talking louder that Marinette could ever remember.
"Are you talking about that Marinette girl?" Marinette asked, something inside her seeming to heat up as anger bubbled to the surface. This girl dared to act like she cared after everything?
"Yeah, did you know her?" Juleka asked, her voice growing a little softer as her shyness reared up a little showing it wasn't all the way gone.
"Yeah, she was a worthless piece of trash. You shouldn't waste time or money on that loser." Marinette snorted.
"What's going on up here?" Luka asked, stopping in shock as he saw Marinette standing in font of a quickly angering Juleka.
"Don't you ever call Marinette that!" Juleka screamed, leaving Marinette stunned for several moments in a somewhat shocked respect.
"What, trash? She was and you are better off with her being dead!" Marinette snorted, unprepared for the cold bath she suddenly found herself taking after Juleka shoved her overboard with an enraged shriek. She felt herself being pulled along by a couple of strong arms that she somehow knew belonged to Luka.
"What happened?" Marinette asked as she felt herself being carried by Luka down a flight of stairs.
"Sorry, my sister pushed you overboard when you was talking bad about yourself." Luka said, his voice wavering between a slight bit of amusement and a lot of worry. "I'm taking you to my room where I will let you change into some clothes my sister is getting for you so she can wash and dry these."
"She knows?" Marinette asked meekly, she really didn't want anyone else to know.
"Not yet, but I think you should tell her." Luka said earning a snort from Marinette.
"No way." Marinette said, earning a sad sigh from the boy carrying her. "I didn't even want you to know, I'm better off dead."
"No you aren't, Marinette. I know that Lila hurt you really bad as well as the rest of your class, but people miss and love you. Your parents especially." Luka chided gently before setting her down on her own two feet.
"Here, I don't know why you want to help this…" Juleka growled, freezing as she saw the soaking wet girl standing there creating a puddle as Luka grabbed a set of clothes for himself. Marinette's hood had come down and the scarf hung limply as the waterlogged girl glared at Juleka who was covering her mouth with her hands fighting back a sob.
"Come on, let her change." Luka said softly as he guided his sister out of his room to give Marinette some privacy. For several moments she debated just changing into Ladybug and jumping out the window, but the window wouldn't let her even if she tried as it was too small. With a heavy sigh, she stripped her wet clothes off and dried off with the towel included in the dry clothes pile the best she could as she tried to make out what was being said on the other ides of the door as the voices grew more and more distant.
Getting dressed she left the wet pile of clothes on the floor as she was unsure of what to do with them and she really didn't want to open that door right now. Instead she slowly looked around the room from her vantage point until she saw a photograph taped to a mirror on his dresser. Swallowing she made her way over to it seeing what she thought she saw was really there. There was a picture of just herself smiling brightly at the camera, but there were a few others as well laying on the surface of the dresser. She knew Luka liked her, but all of the pictures were of her or his family.
"Are you dressed?" Luka called from the other side of the door, knocking lightly. Marinette saw Tikki who she realized was following her with a look of concern zip under the bed.
"Y-Yeah, come in." Marinette said so softly she was unsure if Luka heard her, but a momsnt later he stepped into the room with a basket in hand and piled her clothes into it before wiping the water up with the towel. "I'm sorry about the mess."
"Don't be sorry, this wasn't your fault." Luka said, waving off her protest before taking the basket out of the room before he heard him saying, "Please put these in to wash and could you please make Marinette a sandwich and make sure to bring a few cookies with it?"
She could hear Juleka mumble something, the pain in the girl's voice causing a sting of regret in Marinette before it was washed away by the numb feeling as her emotions quickly seemed to settle back down until Luka stepped back in with a sad smile that set her heart fluttering momentarily. "You don't have to go through all of the trouble."
"It is no trouble, Marinette. You will never be a bother to me, you mean so much to me." Luka said softly.
"Why?" Marinette asked, hugging herself as she walked away from the pictures to look out of the small circular window onto the water's surface. "I'm just trash that nobody wants, not even my parents."
"You aren't trash, Marinette." Luka said, stepping up to Marinette and taking her chin between his thumb and forefinger.
"I am, if not for my responsibilities as you know who, I wouldn't be alive right now. I wanted to kill myself so much that night." Marinette whispered, tears falling freely.
"You aren't trash, you are my heartsong and the most beautiful and kind girl I have ever met. If you were trash, would I do this?" Luka said softly, leaning in and capturing her lips with his. She didn't know what to do, her eyes widening briefly in shock before fluttering closed as she let herself melt into him and the gentle, loving kiss. It was a few moments before he pulled back with a gasp of, "Wow."
"Y-yeah, w-w-wow." Marinette gasped out, her face heating up in embarrassment yet it felt so good, so right even with the numbing of her emotions.
"I never stopped loving you Marinette, it killed me that I couldn't be in your class with you to help you. Juleka tried talking to a few people, tried getting Alya to see reason, but nobody except Rose would listen." Luka said softly surprising Marinette.
"Juleka really tried to?" Marinette asked in shock.
"Yes, I wish I stood up to Lila though. Maybe if I have…" Juleka said, a plate of food in one hand and a glass of soda in another. It was easy to see the girl had been crying, her makeup was a mess making her look like someone from some horror movie which almost made Marinette crack a smile at the thought, not at the pain the girl was obviously in.
"I guess I understand, at least you actually did try to do something unlike my supposed best friend." Marinette huffed, unsure if she could trust this girl before her.
"How did you survive?" Juleka sobbed as Luka took the food and drink from her and sat in on the desk.
"Ladybug saved her at the last second." Luka said earning a thankful nod from Marinette just before she was engulfed in a tight hug from the other girl as if she was afraid that if she let go Marinette would vanish.
"Why didn't you let anyone know?" Juleka sobbed, hugging Marinette tighter causing the supposedly dead girl to slowly hug back and even rub circles soothingly in ghe sobbing girl's back.
"Why? I'm just trash anyways, nobody really wants me." Marinette sighed softly.
"That isn't true! Don't you dare say that, I want you and I know for a fact Luka wants you more than anything!" Juleka wailed earning an embarrassed cough from the boy. "Your mom and dad miss you so much!"
"Juleka, I've always been a disappointment to them. Think about it, they are bakers and they aren't the only ones in the family who devoted their lives to cooking." Marinette tried to explain calmly as she could feel strong emotions trying to over take her fighting against the numbness that was trying to push those feelings back down.
"So, you are a great designer, Marinette." Luka said, giving the two girls a worried look.
"But I'm no daughter of theirs." Marinette sighed, biting her lip as she fought to gain control of the emotions that was threatening to overcome the numbness that was trying to asset it's dominance.
"Who told you that?" Juleka demanded as she stepped back, giving Marinette an even more worried look as she studied the girl's body that wasn't covered in clothing just as Luka was doing.
"I overheard my mom saying I'm no daughter of theirs." Marinette sighed, hugging herself.
"I'm sure you misunderstood, both of your parents were inconsolable when the news broke about you jumping." Juleka shuddered, "Thank god Ladybug saved you!"
"Marinette, you haven't been eating too much lately, have you?" Luka asked, changing the subject as he could see it was visibly upsetting Marinette while at the same time he was getting extremely worried seeing how thin she seemed to be.
"I ate a croissant a couple times the last few days." Marinette defended, earning shocked gasps from the siblings.
"Come over here and eat, and you better finish all of it up!" Juleka demanded as she grabbed Marinette's hand and dragged the girl to the desk making her take a seat.
"Yes, Ma'am." Marinette said, saluting in a somewhat mocking manner but the sight of the food kept her from being too flippant. There was a lunchmeat sandwhich with what looked like lettuce and tomato along with some potato chips and a soda on a paper plate with a few sandwich cookes and a clear plastic cup with some soda in it.
"Sorry, we had a picnic ready for an outing today but it was canceled." Luka said with a little embarrassment.
"Hey, no complaints here." Marinette said, taking a huge bite of the sandwich and almost died of delight. It was the best food she's had in weeks. To her it may have as well been a gourmet dinner at the moment.
"Maybe the three of us can go on the picnic!" Juleka suggested hopefully.
"Maybe later, sis. Can you go check on the clothes and give us a few minutes? Maybe bring another sandwich back with you." Luka suggested.
"Ok." Juleka sighed, visably deflating as she walked to the door before turning back for a moment. "You might not believe me right now, but I am really sorry Marinette. Please don't think that you don't have anyone, because I know how much my brother loves you, and I love you too."
Marinette looked a little torn up at the goth girl before giving a slight nod, "Thank you Juleka."
"I thought she would never leave!" Tikki gasped as she flew out of Luka's pocket to hover in front of Marinette.
"Here Tikki, eat some." Marinette held up a cookie that Tikki reluctantly took and began nibbling on it.
"You know Marinette, if you really don't want to go home right now, you could stay here with us." Luka suggested.
"It might be a good idea, Marinette." Tikki said, her eyes gaining a thankful shine as she looked toward Luka then Marinette.
"Sorry, I forgot to ask if you wanted something different to drink, Mari-That's a kwami!" Juleka gasped as she just stepped thorough the door. Her hands were covering her mouth as she stared at Tikki for several moments before saying in shock and awe, "Your Ladybug!"
