Chapter Four

She felt a bit cold when she got out of the shower with the man of her dreams, which is precisely why she decided that she wasn't okay with just wearing the lingerie that she had set out on the counter in the bathroom; rather, she felt like she needed to wear something on top of her lingerie. And that's precisely what she's in the midst of doing right now, while also making Matt wonder just where she is. "Babe?" Hearing Matt speak to her from their room, Alex laughed as she was currently in the closet. "In here babe." Walking over to Matt's shirts, Alex smiled as she looked for one that she can wear; only to hear Matt whistle when he came into the closet wearing nothing but his tight boxers for her. "Damn, now this is a nice sight." Turning around to look at her boyfriend, Alex smiled as she felt the same way about him just wearing those tight boxers that he's wearing for her. "I can say the same thing about those nice boxers that you're wearing for me." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, while making his way over to her.

He then wrapped his arms around her and smiled as he saw her wearing some of his sweatpants. "So, what's the occasion?" Alex sighed as Matt asked her that question. "Don't be mad." Shocked that Alex would even say that, Matt decided to get close to the woman he loves and put his hands on her hips. "Hey, look at me." Getting close to Matt, Alex put her hands on his abs and cuddled up to him; while he put his hand on the side of her face and leaned in to kiss Alex. "I will never be mad at you when it comes to you being cold, or when you wear my sweats." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, well aware that he loves the sight of her wearing his sweats. "What can I say? They're very comfortable." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, while also wrapping his arms around her as they both held each other close. Bending down, he kissed her and smirked; until he felt Alex play with his boxers. "Hey, calm down missy!" Alex laughed as she ran her hands up his back and kissed him once more. "Shut up, you liked it." Matt nodded.

After all, he did love the feeling of her playing with his boxers. "Always have and always will. Now, listen. I hope you know that you aren't going to be the only one that gets dressed." Looking up, Alex pouted as she hoped that would be the case. "Hey, don't go there. I saw the lingerie that you took out. I don't get to touch that, then you don't get to touch me in my boxers." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that was something that she doesn't get to do if he can't touch her lingerie. "We need to take it easy and relax for a bit anyways, get some practice for whenever I'm at the office for photoshoots; oh, and when you have to daydream about me in your arms when you go back to work on Monday." Matt smiled as he walked over to his dresser so that he could grab some sweats, while Alex made her way to their bed so that she could get comfortable. "Mind if I turn on some TV?" Matt smiled. "Go ahead, Hallmark." Alex was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "Really?" Matt snickered. "It'll just get there eventually." Alex laughed.

After all, the TV will eventually change to that channel at some point. "Yeah, good point. I always…HEY! Don't change the subject!" Matt laughed as he heard Alex say that, before walking up to his dresser and opening one of his drawers; bending down, he proceeded to grab some socks and set them on top of his dresser. After which, he closed that drawer and bent down to open the next drawer to grab a set of sweats (which includes pants and a t-shirt) in the drawer. After all, might as well keep them all together when you always wear them together. After which, he started by putting his pants on; something that Alex really wished he did last due to the fact that she loves how tight his boxers are. "Did you seriously have to do that FIRST? I mean, I love the tight boxers." Turning around to look at the woman he loves as he did up the string on his sweatpants, Matt nodded as he wants to calm her down. "It'll calm you down." Alex agreed as she got all comfortable in bed, while also looking at Cassie and Theo. "Cassie, Theo. Come here you too."

Smiling as he heard Alex say that, Matt looked at the woman he loves due to the fact that it was quite adorable what she just did; how she just asked his dogs…their dogs to join her in bed. And that's precisely what they all want to do right now, cuddle as a family in bed; and that's why Matt went to grab his shirt next so that he could finish getting dressed. "I don't want to hear any complaints over the fact that I just got dressed." Alex shook her head, as he wasn't going to hear any from her; not when she's all warm and comfortable here in their bed. "I am not going to complain when I'm all warm and comfortable here in bed. If anybody's going to complain, I have a feeling it's you." Matt just looked at Alex, about to argue with her; before just nodding as he knew that was the truth. "God, I hate that you know me so well." Alex shook her head, as that isn't the truth. "Shut up, you don't hate me." Matt agreed, as that most certainly is the truth as he could never hate the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I can't, because I love you too much."

Alex agreed. "Yet, not enough to leave your fiancé for the woman you really love." Matt sighed, well aware that was the truth. "Do you want to talk about that?" Alex bit her lip. "Sorry, it was stupid. I shouldn't have even brought it up." Matt shook his head, as it wasn't stupid. Rather, it was the truth. He didn't leave Hallie when he knows that he should've left her. He should've left her a long time ago, but instead; he chose to stay as he thought he was going to be a father, even though something told him that was a lie. "Listen, be honest with me and tell me if you want to talk about it as I am more than open to talking to you about it babe. I love you, and I want you to feel like you can always talk to me; and if I ever feel like you can't do that, then I want you to tell me so that we can talk." Alex agreed with Matt, as that's something that she can promise him; including while they talk to each other. "Can you come join me in bed so we can talk?" Matt agreed with Alex before walking over to their bed, that way they can cuddle as they talk to each other in bed.

The feeling of Matt's strong arms around her as they held each other close in bed was precisely what Alex wanted this morning, as she sat down in her boyfriend's lap; all cuddled up to him as they both breathed and took it easy in bed, which is precisely what they plan on doing with their dogs all day. They plan on cuddling as a family as they just took it easy and relaxed with each other. And the truth is, she felt like this is what they were supposed to be doing right now rather than getting all sexy with each other. "Thanks for agreeing to do this." Matt agreed with Alex as he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly, more than okay with just cuddling up to Alex as they hold each other close in bed. "Babe, I'm more than happy to just hold you in my arms wearing our sweats. There's no need for us to always be all hot and sexy with each other." Turning her head, Alex looked up at Matt as she didn't believe him; after all, he loves being all hot and sexy with her. "Oh, really?" Matt nodded, as that most certainly is the truth. There's no need for them to be sexy.

They can be sexy whenever they want to have fun with each other. But all Matt needs right now, is to just hold the woman he loves close to her as they take it easy and start this new life with each other…and because he's a bit worried. "The truth is, I'm a bit worried about getting to sexy with you right now." Alex was shocked as she looked up at Matt, while also feeling him put his hand on her leg under the covers, which then led to her asking him what's wrong. "What's wrong baby? And don't say nothing, as I can tell that something's going on in that head of yours." Matt sighed, as there was something going on in his mind right now. "I guess, fear." Alex was surprised to hear that. "Hey, are you scared that we're making a mistake in dating?" Matt was shocked that Alex would even ask him that question, as that most certainly isn't true. "Hey, that's not even remotely the truth." Grabbing the covers, Matt tugged them up as he slipped down in bed so that he could hold Alex close; while she wrapped her arms around his torso as they cuddled in bed.

After which, Matt wrapped his arm around her back, while also playing his hand firmly on her lower back and gently stroking it with his thumb; something that Alex really loved the feeling of, as it was her way to get a bit of sexy attention from her man. "Babe, listen to me. I am never going to call this a mistake. If anything, it was a mistake for us to have waited this long to start dating. I love you, and only you; that's a fact that nobody will ever be able to deny." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she leaned in and kissed the man she loves; while Matt wrapped his arm around her back some more as they took things nice and slow with each other. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt, before cuddling up to the man of her dreams, who soon tugged the covers up again and rubbed her back some more. "So, you were cold?" Alex agreed with Matt. "I guess it takes a while for your heating system to warm up the house. Do you shut it off at night?" Matt agreed. "I do it to help keep the energy costs down. But I plan on changing it." Alex was confused.

After all, why would he change it if he wants to keep the costs down? "No, keep it. I want you to do what you think is best for the environment." Matt shook his head. "And I want to do what's best for the woman I love, and that's clearly keeping the house nice and warm at night; so that's precisely what I'm going to do, rather than keep the house cool at night." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that he was just going to do that. But now that they had that over with, they need to talk about what he said in the washroom; how he said that he was relieved that Hallie isn't pregnant with their child. "Hey, so can we talk about something now?" Turning his head to look down at Alex as they both got comfortable, Matt nodded as they can always talk about anything and everything. "Of course, we can always talk babe." Alex took a breath as she agreed with Matt before bringing up the topic she wants to talk about. "I guess, the question I have is related to how you said you were relieved Hallie wasn't really pregnant."

Matt was a bit surprised to hear Alex bring that up, but that didn't mean that he wasn't okay talking about it; contrary to what Alex believed. "I mean, I want to talk about that only if you're okay with talking about it, because if you aren't…." Bending down, Matt interrupted Alex by starting to take things slow with her. Because if there was one thing he was okay with talking about, it was any topic that she brought up as they cuddled up to each other here in bed. "Babe, I want to talk about this because so do you." Alex agreed with Matt, while laying her head down on his chest and cuddling up to him some more; while Matt put his hand on her back as he rubbed it. "I guess, the reason I said that I was relieved…is because I felt like I would've been stuck." Nodding, Alex agreed as she listened to her boyfriend. "I would've been stuck with her, as I would've felt obligated to be with her for the entirely of her pregnancy and then when the baby was born; even though that isn't where I really want to be. This is where I really want to be." Alex smiled.

After all, there's nothing like hearing that the man she loves wants to be with her rather than another woman; a woman whom he used to be engaged to and thought he was going to have a baby with (while she was pretending to be pregnant). And that truly does explain why he was so relieved when he found out she wasn't pregnant. "Also, I feel relieved due to the fact that it meant that I was no longer the fool." Turning her head again, Alex was shocked as she heard Matt call himself a fool. "Hey, why are you calling yourself a fool babe?" Matt sighed. "I should've seen the signs. The signs that she wasn't really pregnant. I mean, I lived with my sister while she was pregnant with Violet; why didn't I see the signs?" Violet being Matt's niece, his sister Christie's daughter with her husband Jim; whom Matt is not that big of a fan of. Then again, with the exception of Alex, they've never really been a fan of the people either of them have chosen to be in a relationship with; and yes, that even includes Hallie after he proposed to her. Christie never liked her.

In fact, she called her a gold digger who was just after his money, which is the truth, because that's exactly what happened. There's no doubt in Matt's mind that she was just after his money, especially after pretending that she was pregnant with his child, which would make that child the heir to his fortune, rather than his sister, who was next in line to get it all (even though she's older). And that's due to the fact that their family is pretty much a patriarchal society where the son is preferred over the daughter. But not anymore, as that's going to change in the next generation. If he has a daughter first, and she wants to be the next Chairwoman and CEO of the family company; then she will become the next Chairwoman and CEO of Casey. But right now, that's not his concern as his girlfriend is his concern instead. His girlfriend, and the conversation that they're in the midst of having with each other. "My sister always thought that Hallie was a gold digger." Snickering, Alex nodded as she already knew that. "Yeah, I already knew that." Matt was shocked.

After all, how did she know that when they never spoke of it. "How did you know that, when this is the first time that I ever tell you that?" Looking up at her boyfriend, Alex smiled. "You do realize that I'm friends with your sister, right? I work for her, and I'm friends with her. God, she's going to be thrilled when she learns that we're dating." Matt agreed. "I prefer the term unofficially engaged." Alex was shocked. "Wait, is this you proposing to me?" Matt shook his head. "Not yet, I just have this feeling that's where this is headed." Alex agreed with Matt, as she feels the same way. She feels like the two of them have a long future ahead of them; a future that includes them being married and having children in the future. "Good, because I like the sound of me being the mother of your children; the only mother of your children, who will actually be pregnant when she tells you that she's pregnant." Matt laughed a bit as he heard Alex say that, as it was a bit funny. "Have to say, that is a bit funny if we're being completely honest." Alex agreed.

After all, what's better than a bit of humor related to the fact that her boyfriend's ex was never pregnant. "I'm just glad that you can laugh about it, I wasn't sure whether or not that would be the case." Matt agreed with Alex while running his hand up and down her back, before turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead. "Do you ever dream of it?" Turning her head to look up at Matt again, Alex was confused as she didn't understand what Matt was talking about. "Not sure that I understand the question babe." Matt smiled as he turned his head and stared down into Alex's eyes. "Do you ever dream of us having children together?"

Alex's POV: When Matt asked me whether I ever dream about us having kids together, I smiled due to the fact that I most certainly do dream about us having children together at times. I think about the fun we'll have with our children, and the sight that it would be to have Matt run around one of our kids. Hopefully, a little boy that looks like him; a boy that we can name after him too. Maybe, not too sure after hearing what Matt told me about his birth name being Gregory Casey, Jr. I mean, would he be okay with us naming a baby Matthew Casey, Jr? I mean, that would just mean that the baby's ready name is Gregory Casey III. And that's not something I really like the sound of, the sound of him being named after his monster of a grandfather. Then again, he would also be named after his father. And since Matt legally changed his name to Matthew James Casey, that means that the baby would have to be Matthew James Casey, Jr. God, that still sounds like the best name in the entire world. And for the answer to his question, isn't it obvious? Of course, I do.

I always think about the future when we have kids, as I want to be ready for it in case it happens; I want to know what I might walk into if I ever see myself being pregnant, and just what that might entail as his girlfriend…or his wife if we're married by then. And that actually brings up a point we have to talk about, whether he would be okay with us being pregnant before we get married; though I think I already know the answer based on the fact that he's always wanted to be father. All I know is that we aren't ready for kids yet, due to the fact that Matt is still dealing with the aftermath that Hurricane Hallie brought upon us. God, why am I even thinking of her as I cuddle up to my man in bed? He's so comfortable and that's all I should be concentrating on. That, and the fact that I most certainly do dream of us having children together; and just how great of a father Matt will be in the future. And that's precisely what I decided to tell the man of my dreams. How I always dream of us having children, and how great of a father I think he'll be one day.

Turning my head to do that, I smiled as I looked up at the man I love. "Babe, of course I think about the future when we have kids; especially when I think of how great of a father you're going to be. Because that's something I already know that you're going to be a great father to our children." Smiling as he heard me say that, Matt ran his hand up and down my back, while also bending down and kissing me softly. "I love you." I agreed with Matt as he told me that, smiling due to the fact that I love him too. I love him more than anything in the entire world, and I am very proud to call him my man. "I love you too, forever." Matt smirked as he heard me say that, while also bending down and starting to take things nice and slow with me. Something that we both most certainly did enjoy, especially since we're very much addicted to each other whenever we're holding each other close in bed; as we're doing with each other right now. We're all cuddled up to each other, as we relax and just take it easy with each other in bed this morning.

Matt's POV: Stroking Alex's shoulder with my thumb as we held each other in bed after sharing another kiss, I smiled due to the fact that this truly is perfect. The way she's all cuddled up to me in bed, as we hold each other close and just take it easy with each other. There truly is nothing better than the feeling of having the woman I love more than anything in the entire world in my arms, all cuddled up to me as we lay down in our bed together. And that's something else that I love, I love the fact that I can call this our bed now, because that's precisely what this bed is. It's our bed, and it will be for the rest of our lives. Because that's how long I plan on being with this gorgeous woman I was currently holding in my arms as I took things nice and slow with her. I plan on being with Alex for the rest of our lives, and I plan on raising a family with her someday in the future; just not yet as I want to first start a life with her. I want to do things right with her. I want us to date, to get engaged, and then get married. Then we can have a baby together.

Then again, that doesn't mean that I'd be mad if we got pregnant before we get married; after all, it'd be a dream come true for me. It'd be a dream come true as I would finally be a father, which is something that I've always wanted; but I now realize that my true dream come true is to be a father to me and Alex's children, something that I decided to share with her as I kissed her forehead once more right now. And let's just say that I already knew that Alex really liked that feeling, as she soon cuddled up to me even more if that was even possible; but this time, she pressed her breasts against my chest even more…and damn is that sexy. It just turns me on so much and makes me so happy that we're together, that we're in a relationship and that we're going to be in a relationship for the rest of our lives. And that's something we've already shared with each other, which I am so happy about as it's just reassured me (not that I really needed it) that we're on the same page when it comes to our future. That we have a future with each other and nobody else.

And that really did make me smile, which led to Alex asking me just why I was smiling so much. "Is there a reason why you're smiling so much babe?" Smiling as I turned my head to look down at Alex, I nodded as she's the reason why I'm smiling so much. "There is, and it's you. I'm smiling because you make me happy, as does you being here with me. I love you Alex, and that will never change. I hope you know that." Alex agreed with me as I told her that, smiling as she cuddled up to me and just started to kiss me softly; meanwhile, I ran my hand up the shirt that she was wearing only to learn that she isn't wearing a bra. "No bra?" Alex smirked. "I thought we were staying here all day in bed. So, I decided not to wear one as a way to tease you. Is it working?" I nodded, smirking as it most certainly is working. "Oh, it most certainly is working." Putting my hand on top of hers, I smiled as I stroked it with my thumb while also wrapping my arm around her back. After which, I bent down and kissed the woman I love softly; the woman of my dreams.

As Matt and Alex took things nice and slow with each other in the comfort of their bed, they just smiled at each other due to the fact that it was precisely what they both want to do right now; they want to cuddle up to each other as they share a sweet kiss with each other. A kiss that can easy last an hour due to the fact that Matt and Alex are truly obsessed with each other. They're obsessed because of how much they truly love each other, which is why they're currently in bed and just taking it easy with each other. But that doesn't mean that it's all they want to do with each other, as they also want to take it easy and relax. "Babe, can we maybe watch some TV and relax? I hate to say this since we just woke up but…" Matt laughed as he heard Alex say that. "Let me guess, you're still tired from our multiple rounds of sex last night and this morning?" Alex nodded, smiling at her dreamy boyfriend. "I love you, but yes." Matt nodded as he heard Alex say that, while bending down and kissing the woman of his dreams. "Have a good nap babe." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as she cuddled up to her man and drifted off to sleep; only to dream about something magical.
