"I know this is no day at the beach, Joe. But that's no reason to be a worry wart about it, and make all your friends unhappy. Pardon the pun, but chill out. Only you've got a problem with the cold. Everyone think warm." Gabumon said.

"I'm allergic to fur." Joe said.

"Oh, come on. The cold isn't that terrible." Tai said. Mimi and TK looked at him with an 'ah' sound.

"It's ice cold up here Tai!" Meiko complained, shivering.

"Plus, if you're a polar bear or a penguin." Izzy added.

"Yeah, but when it snows we'll throw some snowballs." Tai tried to remain cheerful.

"And make snowmen!" Mimi smiles.

The Digimon look at each other. "What do you think a snowmen is?" Gomamon asks.

"A Digimon from their planet." Gabumon answered with a guess.

"It's difficult to explain." Izzy told them.

"Well, if it's edible, count me in." Tentomon said.

"No, the best thing about snowballs is you can throw them at each other." Izzy tried to clarify. "It's a fun game in the winter months."

"You throw food?" Tentomon asks.

"We could build a snow fort!" Matt exclaimed.

"You'll need one!" Tai told him.

"I bet I could beat you both blindfolded!" Sora challenged.

"I wanna build an igloo!" TK called.

"I'll help! If you tell me what it is." Palmon said.

"An igloo sounds scrumptious to me!" Tentomon said.

"Too bad you can't eat an igloo." Izzy told him.

"You can't be serious. It's be horrible if it started snowing right now!" Joe said, crossing his arms.

"Yeah! That'd make it even colder!" Meiko added.

Sora walked up to her and Joe.

"Lighten up you two. We'r'e just trying to look on the positive side of things."

"Blech." Joe scoffed.

Meiko sneezed multiple times. "I'd rather sit in front of a nice warm fire in the fireplace!" She complains.

"And under a heated blanket." Joe added.

Meiko looks up at him. "And hot cocoa!"

"Yeah!" He smiles. "With lots of marshmallows!"

"Sounds super good! My mom makes the best hot cocoa!"

Matt smirked as he watched them, then jogged up to Tai. "Don't look now, but I think Joe's about to take your girl." He teased.

Tai gave him a look. "We're only 10 wise guy. That's no where dating age."

"Hey Tai!" TK ran up to to the two boys. "When's it gonna snow?"

"Probably any second now."

"Right on Joe's head!" Matt said.

"That'd be funny!" TK smiled.

"You know, if the temperature drops any lower then it already is, we won't be able to camp out anymore! We'll be frozen digitreats!" Joe exclaimed. Tai, Matt, TK and Izzy laughed. "That's right. Go head and laugh. But when your tooties freeze don't come crying to me. I'll just say I told you so. It's always better to be safe then sorry. Think first. Humph."

"Sounds good to me." Meiko agreed, making Tai look at the two almost studying them before he nearly tripped.

The group continue to walk until they reach a field of snow.

"What's that white stuff?" Gomamon asks.

"It's a field of snow!" Mimi exclaimed excitedly. "There's bound to to be a ski resort nearby."

"Aw, man! This is much worse then even Thought it was!" Joe exclaimed.

"What now guys?" Sora asked as she stood next to Tai.

"I think we should keep going. We're not going to get anywhere by just sitting here." Tai answered as Mimi, Palmon Patamon and TK start to play in the snow.

"If we walk across the field in out sneakers, our toes will go numb." Matt argued.

"Matt's right." Meiko agreed.

"It's impossible to continue!" Joe cried.

"Joe's right." Meiko agreed.

Tai didn't know which one he was getting more jealous of. Matt or Joe. "So what are we suppose to do?" Tai questioned, irritated with all three of them. "Just stand here like a bunch of dorks?" He wants to know. "We either go across the field we climb up that mountain."

"Wow, wait a sec." Agumon sniffs the air. "I think there's a weird odor in the air."

"It could be us, us kids haven't had baths or showers for sometime now." Meiko told him, rubbing her hands on her arms to stop the goosebumps from getting cold.

"I do believe he's right." Biyomon agrees.

"What could it be?" Gabumon asked as Tai and Izzy start to sniff the air too. Tai even went the extra mile to sniff himself and Matt.

"Hey! Knock it off!" Matt yelled, shoving Tai away.

"It smells very familiar." Izzy said, looking in a direction of trees to see steam above them.

"It's steam." Biyomon realized.

"You're right. But where's it coming from?" Matt asked.

"A big geyser!" Joe exclaimed with glee. Causing the ones playing in the snow, to stop.

"A hot spring!" They said in union.

"Yippee! Now I can take a bath!" Mimi shouts in glee.

"And we can get warm!" TK shouts as they ran towards the steam. Once they arrive, they discover a problem.

"Uh oh, this water is much too hot." Tai said as they all look at the water.

"We'd be cooked if we jumped in this." Tentomon said.

"Yes, boiled." Izzy agreed.

"Well, there goes my big dreams of having a nice warm bath." Mimi pouts.

"It looks so inviting." Palmon said.

"Inviting if you're a vegetable." Matt huffed.

"What's a little dirt compared to starving?" Joe asked. "We need to eat and there's nothing in sight!"

"Oh yes there is!" TK said as he sees something.

"What are you talking about? There's nothing but rocks and boiling water here." Joe slouches his shoulders.

"Then what do you call that?" TK asks, pointing to what was near them, causing Joe to look over and see a fridge.

"Tell me I'm not imagining this." Joe said as his glasses almost falling off his face. Tai comes up to the oldest and smiles at what Joe and TK are looking at.

"Yeah! It's real!" The boy with goggles, exclaimed.

"Oh come on, that's ridiculous!" Joe still refused. "What would a refrigerator be doing way out where?"

"Hey, where there's a fridge, there's grub!" Matt said.

"No way! That impossible!" Joe shouts, refusing to accept it.

"We won't know until we open it." Sora said.

"I don't think that's." Joe is quickly cut off.

"I want hot coco!" Mimi exclaims.

"What's that?" Palmon asks.

"Come on already!" Tai ran up to the fridge and opens it, it was filled with eggs. "Whoa! Eggs!"

"There must be a zillion of them." Agumon said.

"Yeah, grub on! These will keep us feed for a month!" Tai exclaimed, then is shoved to the side as Meiko reaches in.

"I want scrambled eggs!" She pulls out some.

"Wait a minute, you shouldn't even touch them!" Joe cries, stopping her. "We don't even know if they're fit for human consumption."

"Then I'll be the guinea pig. If I turn purple, then you'll know that they're not edible." Tai told him.

"There's more then that. Even if they are edible, they don't belong to us." Joe tried to reason. "That would make us thieves! You got to think about this stuff, Tai!"

"He's right and unless you want to start eating rocks, we don't have much of a choice." Matt said.

"I'm sure they would say yes if we were in trouble." Sora added.

"Exactly. We'd tell them that this is an emergency situation." Izzy agreed.

"Rationalize away." Tentomon as and Joe sighed in defeat.

"Alright, well let's get crackin." Matt joked, making Sora and Biyomon laugh.

"Sunny side up is my specialty." Sora said as she cracks an egg. Soon the others were boiling the eggs in the hot springs.

"They're done!" Patamon announces as he, TK, Meiko and Guilmon pulled out a couple of baskets full of eggs.

"I can't wait." TK said.

"Hey, come on man. How are those chopsticks coming?" Tai asked, carrying a bunch of sticks with Izzy as Joe carves at a stick he's holding.

"Hurry, we wanna eat!" Mimi urged.

"Sorry, this just makes me feel uncomfortable. We'd be in big trouble if someone got stick. No doctors, you know. Why do I always have to be the one to think of these things?" Joe asked.

Everyone is now gathered around a huge rock and made a table out of it. "Tres Gourmet!" Mimi smiles.

"It's your turn next time." Sora said.

"Go on, dig in." Biyomon said.

"Oh yeah! I haven't had a meal like this in a long time. My stomach's chiming." Tai said cheerfully.

"If we had some ketchup to go with this, it would be perfect." Matt replied.

"Mmm, I love ketchup and eggs." TK said, sitting next to his brother.

"That sounds pretty gross to me." Sora said, sitting next to Tai.

"I'd rather have sausage mixed with my eggs." Meiko smiles.

"That sounds good too!" TK exclaims.

"What's the matter Joe? You haven't eaten anything." Gomamon asks, looking up at him.

"Huh? Oh, I was just thinking that if we were able to go home, ketchup wouldn't be a problem. Oh well." Joe said sadly.

Mimi sighs. "Now I'm homesick, how depressing."

"You're right. Now I wanna go home." TK said.

"It's been 4 days since we've been here." Izzy said. "I wonder if anyone's tried to find out where we are?"

"I bet the FBI has been called in too." Meiko added.

"Cheer up. Tell me how you like you eggs and I'll try to do my very best." Sora offers.

"I prefer my eggs to be covered in salt and pepper, but I guess it doesn't matter." Joe said.

"And cheese on top!" Meiko smiles.

"I like soy sauce."

"How about salsa?"

"How about a reality check?"

"I'll have mine with mustard and jelly beans please." Izzy said, causing both Matt and Tai to laugh, while TK holds his hands over his mouth.

"How gross." Matt said.

"What? You're both weird. My favorite is eggs tops with maple syrup. Yummy! Sometimes I like them with cherries on top."

"That's weird." Sora said, leaning away from the table.

"Not just weird. Plan nasty." Meiko said, pushing her plate towards Tai. "Thanks a lot Mimi."

"What? You're making me completely lose my appetite." Joe complains. "I like just plain eggs. I wish we could talk about something other then egg recipes."

"Don't be so hard on yourself, we're just having fun." Gomamon told him.

"Come on! Join the party!" Matt insisted.

"I think it's really late for him." Said Tai. "I think Joe thinks we've gone a little crazy over eggs."

"Well, really jelly beans and cherries on eggs? That's crazy talk! Salt and pepper is all they really need. Keep it simple, that's always been my motto."

"I'm afraid Joe's just not the type of guy that's meant to be adaptable." Gomamon said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Joe turns to him. "What do you mean?" He asked, feeling insulted.

"Let's face it, Joe. You're kind of a stick in the mud if you catch my drift." Gomamon answered.

"I'm just practical!"

"You're stuffy!"

"It never fails. Here they go again." Biyomon said as she covers her face with with her wing.

"It's suppose to be Tai and Matt arguing." Meiko said.

"You wanna fight? Huh? Huh?" Asked Gomamon as he puts up his fins.

"Oh yeah, sure!" Joe yells as he gets ready to fight.

"Hey, hey, hey, you better calm down." Matt told them.

"I am calm!" Joe yelled. "He's the one who's being stingy! And why you'd squeeze my arm?!"

"You don't seem to be yourself today, Joe." Matt frowns. "You're a basket case."

"I'm trying to be careful." Joe tells him. "Unlike the rest of you weirdos. I'm telling you; you're asking for trouble."

"Why are you making such a big deal out of this?" Tai asked Matt.

"Because it's way too dangerous!" Matt yells.

"There's no place else to go! We have no choice!"

"Look before we do something foolish! We should think it over a little more!"

"You're a big old chicken!"

"Hey everybody. What's going on? Why are Matt and Tai fighting about?" Joe asked as he walked over to the others.

"They're debating whether we should climb Infinity Mountain which is way up over there." Izzy answered, pointing to the big mountain in front of them.

"That's practically up to the sky." Joe said.

"Infinity Mountain's a dozy, that's for sure." Tentomon said.

"It's the perfect spot! We've gotta climb up there! It's the best view of the island!" Tai shouts at Matt.

"You're gotta admit, he's got a point there." Joe replied.

"That's how Matt sees it." Sora said.

"No one would make it up that peak!" Matt shouts at Tai. "It's too much of a gamble!"

"He could be right, Joe. There could be a lot of bad Digimon up that peak." Biyomon said.

"That's not good. It wouldn't be worth the risk." Joe said.

"Come on, Matt! Don't be a wimp. We won't get anywhere if we just stand around talking!"

"Put your fist down when you talk to me and stop acting like you can just bully your way into being the leader!"

"What are you saying!?" Tai demands.

"Knock it off you guys, chill out." Joe said, literally pushing the two apart. "Now look here, calm down. Let's be sensible."

The argument pauses for a little while. "So, what's your opinion about this, Joe?" Matt asks.

"Huh?"

"Yeah Joe. Tell us who's right. Me or Matt?" Tai demanded the answer.

"I say we go with Tai." Meiko whispered, but Sora heard her.

"No way." The red head argued with her own whisper. "Matt has a very good point, nobody would make it."

"I didn't ask you anything, Sora" Meiko huffed, folding her arms and looking away.

"Well, I think Tai's right about going up that peak." Jo said, seeing Tai's point about the mountain. "If we went up there, we'd see the landscape of the island a lot better."

"See Matt!" Tai puffed out his chest.

"Hold on, Matt brought up a real good point about the danger. It'd be dumb to lead everybody up to a place we don't know anything about. It won't be safe." Joe also saw Matt's point about danger.

"Oh come on!" Tai shouts. "Let's go as far as we can up the mountain!"

"That's stupid! We can't protect ourselves out there!"

"Stop it now! You're both making me a nervous wreck!" Joe shouts. "Just give me a chance to think! Don't be difficult!"

Both Tai and Matt look at him. "What? You're the most difficult person I ever met." Matt replies.

"Hey. I'm trying to make a decision here. So don't interrupt me."

"You're just a big old chicken, Matt." Tai again taunts.

"Tai, you better take that back." Warns Matt.

"Enough already! You're giving me a headache!" Screams Joe.

"Put a cork in it you three! Now grow up, we have to decide what to do." Sora said.

"We are deciding!" Meiko told her. "It's just a little argument."

"Little?" Izzy asks. "I think it's beyond little."

"Besides, it's going to be dark soon." Biyomon said.

"I think we should get some shut eye." Agumon decides.

"There will be plenty of time to argue later." Gabumon added.

"First of all, let's find a place to sleep." Sora decides. "Let's head for the caves."

Later that night. Meiko laid near a fire pit, she watched Tai then looked towards Sora. She bit her lip to keep a sigh from escaping.

"I'll do it." Joe's voice is heard in a serous tone.

Meiko watches as Joe walks out of the cave. Standing up, she quickly follows, she has to step around TK, who turns to snuggle against Matt.

"Hey, who's there!?" Joe yells, while on the mountain.

"It's me." Meiko comes into view.

"Meiko! What are you doing here?" Joe turns to her. "Go back to the cave!"

"No!" Meiko yelled, walking up to him. "I will not!"

"Yes, you are!" Joe took her arm and turns her around. "Go back down the mountain."

"I will not!" She urged, turning back around to look up at him. "You maybe the oldest, but you can be a cat at times."

"So I'm a cat?" He shrugs simply. "What's that make you?"

"Plain." She started to walk around him.

"What?" A surprised Joe turns to fully face her. "What are you talking about?"

"Oh come on, Joe!" She spins around to face him. "Everyone can see it. Tai lets Sora do everything, she can do everything and she's a mother hen too! Tai soaks it all up too!" Meiko folds her arms. "Sora's aloud to do everything! I'm not afraid, but I'm not a loud to do anything." She said hotly with hot tears, she turns and starts to walk up the path again. "So I'm going!"

Joe stood there, a little shocked. Gomamon and Guilmon stood on either side of him. "Gee, she looks blue." Joe finally found his voice.

"I'd say white skin." Gomamon replied.

"With her black hair and pink eyes." Guilmon added, making Joe shake his head.

"No, no. I mean she's depressed." He hurries after his friend, leaving the two Digimon standing there.

"Oh." They said in union, before they ran to keep up

The four make it up halfway up the mountain with each others help. "I could use a lift." Gomamon said, hanging on the side of a hill, both Joe and Meiko pull him up. "Thanks."

Joe pants. "I'm ready to take a rest. Well, it looks to me like we're halfway there." He looks down at how far they were.

"Wow, that's a dizzy sight!" Meiko exclaimed. "One wrong move and we're sliding back all the way down to where we started."

Gomamon looks up at Joe. "We make quite a team."

"Actually we do." Joe agrees, he turns to Meiko. "Us too."

She smiles. "Yeah. Let's continue." She turns to start walking, but suddenly the mountain starts to violently shake.

"What's that?" Joe asked.

"Earthquake?" Guilmon guessed.

"You don't think that mountain is a … volcano!" Shouts Joe, but instead of molten lava, Black Gears come flying out. "Look up there!"

"The Black Gears." Gomamon said softly.

"They're coming from the top of the mountain." Meiko said.

"I guess there's no running away this time." Joe said, and Gomamon nods. "Let's go."

The sun started to rise as the four make it to the spot where they saw the Black Gears. "I'm sure I saw them up here. Where could they have gone?" Joe wondered.

"I saw them too!" Meiko frowns. "What happened to them all?"

"Could be too much to hope that they all disappeared altogether?" Gomamon asks.

"That's too much hope." Guilmon told him, making him shrug.

"I tried."

"We'll have to climb up there and see." Joe said, taking Meiko's hand and begins to walk, until Gomamon hears something.

"That sound. Way up there!" Gomamon looks in a direction of the morning sun and sees a flying horse.

"Oh, that's just great. A flying horse wearing a mask. This can't be good." Joe panicked.

"That's not your everyday kind of flying horse Joe. That's Unimon, he's a wise old Digimon. I never knew he lived in these mountains. He's not much of a talker." Gomamon explained.

"Hide." Whispers Joe, pushing Meiko as they all hide behind a builder.

"Unimon's very gentle." Guilmon said. "We don't have to hide from him."

"He must be coming down for a drink." Joe said as they walk. Union lands gracefully by a little running waterfall. "I guess that's his watering hole."

"You see, we told you he's a nice Digimon." Gomamon said. "He wouldn't hurt a fly."

"What a beautiful looking horse." Joe comments with a smile.

"Yeah." Meiko agrees.

"Maybe Unimon will tell us what we need to know." Guilmon said.

"Then we can go back to our friends." Gomamon added.

The two Digimon hurry towards Unimon.

"Gomamon." Joe tried to get him back.

"Hello Unimon, it's me, Gomamon. And Guilmon. It's been a long time since." - Gomamon trails off as he hears something coming.

"What is it? What's going on?" Joe asked.

"I hear something … out there!"

"Me too!"

"What? Where?" Joe asked, looking around.

"Joe!" Meiko cried, pointing to a Black Gear coming at them.

"Black Gear!" Joe shouts as it embedded itself into Unimon's back. "Gosh, think he's in trouble?"

"Uh we'll have to see. Uh oh, look at his eyes! I think we're the ones that are in trouble!" Gomamon cried.

"For once we agree!" Joe cried, hugging Gomamon.

"It's time to panic!" Meiko cried, hugging Guilmon as she hides behind Joe.

"Hello Gomamon, aren't you happy to see me?" Unimon asks, walking towards the four.

"Time to exit!" Joe cried, twisting around and grabbing Meiko's hand. "Stage right!"

The four start running along the mountain from Unimon. "Having a good time, dear guests? I'm in the mood for a game of Aerial Attack!" Unimon shouts, firing a charged shot from his mouth, missing them while cutting off their path.

"Do something, Gomamon!" Joe shouts.

"You too. Guilmon!" Meiko shouts.

"You're not thinking of leaving, are you?" Unimon asks. "That's a p perfectly safe route if your thinking of flying away."

"We need some help!" Joe cried.

"Aerial Attack!" Unimon sends another blast.

More rocks slide down the mountain as Joe, Meiko, Gomamon and Guilmon cover themselves. A loud cry is suddenly heard, and Birdramon flies up and smashes into the side of the mountain, stopping the attack.

"Huh? Birdramon?" Joe asks.

"We've come to save you!" Tai calls.

"Tai!" Meiko brightens at seeing him.

"Are you guys alright?" Sora asks. Unimon broke out of the mountain.

"Aerial Attack!" He fires his attack, hitting Birdramon, she falls down the cliff.

"Birdramon!" Sora cried, running after her Digimon.

"Well!" Tai turns to Agumon.

"Agumon Digivolve to … Greymon!" As soon as he was Greymon he was slammed into the side of the mountain by Unimon.

"Greymon, are you gonna be alright?" Tai asks.

"I'm styling dude." Greymon says, just before getting attacked by Unimon again. "Nova Blast!" He fires a fireball at Unimon, who dodges it.

"Aerial Attack!"

"Greymon and Tai are in trouble! Uh on, he's going after Sora!" Joe said, seeing Unimon heading in Sora's direction.

"No matter how much jealously I have with Sora, she's still my friend!" Meiko decides.

"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon shouts, sending fiery meteors at Unimon.

"Sora!" Joe yells, then sees the Black Gear. "The gear. I'll get it."

"No, I will!" Meiko jumps off the the ledge and onto Unimon's back. "Gotcha! Whoa!" She cried as Unimon rears back and tries to buck her off.

"Meiko!" Tai yells. "Meiko, hold on!"

"Tai!" She cries, clinging to the Black Gear.

Joe jumps off the ledge, joining Meiko. "Nice horse! Easy now!" He grabs the gear. "Meiko help me!"

She reaches for the gear, grabbing a hold of it. "It's not budging!"

"Yeah, it's wedged pretty good!" Joe grunts as Unimon rapidly tries to buck them off. Then finally does so.

"Oh no! Joe!" Gomamon shouts as Joe's Digivoice starts to glow and vibrate.

"Meiko!" Guilmon cries, Meiko's Digivoice also starts to glow and vibrate.

"Gomamon Digivolve to … Ikkakumon!"

"Guilmon Digivolve to … Growlmon!"

Just before the two kids hit the ground, Joe lands on Ikkakumon's back. And Meiko lands in Growlmon's arms.

"Hold on tight, Joe, cause we're going for a ride!" Said Ikkakumon before head butting with Unimon.

"Don't worry, Meiko. I'll always protect you!" Growlmon said, also head butting Unimon.

"Aerial Attack!" Shouts Unimon attacks again, but Ikkakumon dodges the blast and Growlmon shields Meiko.

"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon shouts, firing a couple of horns at Unimon, but miss.

"Pyro Blaster!" Growlmon shouts a fireball from her mouth, but also misses.

"Look out! He's coming back!" Meiko shouts, watching as Unimon comes back around.

"Aerial Attack!"

"Harpoon Torpedo!"

"Pyro Blaster!" The two attacks slam into Unimon's back, destroying the Black Gear.

"The Black Gear just dissolved! You both saved the day!" Joe cheers.

"Hope I didn't shake you too much, Tai." Greymon said.

"Nah." Tai shook his head.

"We did it!" Meiko cheers as the Digimon return back to their Rookie levels.

"Good job, now that's what I call putting it together." Joe said.

"Wow Joe, you were jamming out there. You're a pretty cool dude after all." Tai said, shaking the young teen's hand.

"Don't forget Meiko." Joe quickly said, turning to her. "She was the braver then I was."

Meiko blushed at the compliment. "Thanks Joe." She turns to Gomamon and Guilmon. "You guys were awesome too."

It's because I'm just a nice guy and besides, Joe would've fallen on his head. That's why. I didn't have anything better to do anyway. Hey, if you don't believe me, then put up your dukes and let's fight about it." Gomamon said as Joe bends down to him.

"Just chill Gomamon, you're the best and heroes don't have to fight." Joe said, causing his Digimon to blush.

"Oh, uh heroes?" The Digimon asks.

"Someone's embarrassed." Guilmon teased.

"No way! I'm no such thing!"

Meiko turns to Tai. "What do we do now?"

"We're almost there. Let's go all the way to the top." He decides. "Alright, I knew we could do it!" He cheers.

The group reaches the top, looking out at the shocking sight. "Not much out there." Tai said. They're surrounded with water, water, and lots more water from all angles.
