Hello!
It has almost been a year aftee publishing this fanfic on this site. I haven't been publishing more chapters because I was hoping to finish off the whole fic before doing regular updates.
I just finished the fic last week and it was quite liberating. I was proud. That was before I reread everything again. It was not what I expected it to be.
I make it sound so disappointing but it was actually good for my first fanfic (have read some other first fanfics by others and, sorry to say, but mine is probably one of the betters in average. This is especially true if you compare this to some in Webnovel lol).
There were several problems that I had noticed with my writing. I wanted to finish the story fast that I may have just given everything to the MC all willy nilly.
Several conspiracies were introduced that were quite shallow for something supposedly so troubling for Konoha. I'm not very good with intrigue and under-the-table/shadow battles so that is something I would have expected.
Finally, it was too optimistic for a world filled with child soldiers and death. There were no major character deaths and they were too overpowered; it was just disgustingly convenient for everyone important. Although it was well executed (as in their overpowering was well developed and well deserved, backing up their survival through events), it just did not feel right to have no deaths for a world that breeds children to fight battles. There's nothing wrong with the absence of character deaths but, it just does not fit with the setting. Sorry.
In light of these flaws, I will be rewriting the whole story to be much more rightly paced, interesting, and realistic in a sense that it retains its flavor of fantasy and not mirroring our very problematic world. This means that relevant problems within our society like racism and sexual discrimination will not be appearing. I don't think they have the luxury of being able to shed light on that societal problem when they're pretty much occupied by making sure their village is safe from enemies.
I hope you keep waiting and reading for this story once a rewrite is up.
